This happens all the time. They have a few duds, and people start complaining...until they have a great one, and everyone fawns again. Not for nothing, but Amazon isn't a charity. Not every DotD is going to have the newest game on the market for $30. Sometimes, they want to try to get people to buy crap that has been sitting around for awhile.

I think Guitar Hero: On Tour for $30 was definitely a great one. It comes far and few between, but it's still worth checking the DOTD every day...

This game is great and I strongly recommend it (it's my favorite of the Harvest Moon games, and I'm a big fan of the series), but I don't get their price--they say it's on sale for $18 from $40, but it's been greatest hits for, what, two years now or so? This game has been $20 new for a long time, not $40.

Amazon or any other retail will do this, post the MSRP and say ohhh you're saving 78% off, what a deal, buy now!

This is my favorite of all the Harvest Moon games, and I own them all.

BUT... as stated many times already, it can be found for less through other avenues. Still not that bad of a deal and saves you from having to go out and get it yourself.

$18 is the cheapest I think I ever seen it, unless GameStop had it for $10 a summer or two ago. I need a new copy since I gave mine to my sister without even getting a chance to play it.

Anyways, I bought a copy and a Wii steering wheel. I needed both.
