From the footage it looks to be just like the n64 version, except a lot prettier. Oh, and is he holding a wii-mote and nunchuck there? Hmm, quite Bad-ass if I do say so myself.

Wow. I mean ... wow. The first one is quite possibly my favorite shooter (or whatever the hell genre it is).
I'm glad Nintendo actually looked at sales of S&P 1 to make a decision on whether or not to release 2 here. I'm also glad S&P 1 actually sold that well.

As for PS3 version don't get your hoped up. I've read some interviews and I think Nintendo had a hand in this games creation. Plus it was in direct responce to the Virtual Console release and the sales on that end.

Clearly my most wanted game of 2009 thus far. It's going to take A LOT to surpass this. Ya know, (I hate to say the disclaimer) for a Wii game this is lookin pretty good! :shock:

But best of all, we won't have to wait seven years to play this chapter; Nintendo confirmed it as a U.S. release for the first half of next year. Apparently, the Virtual Console success of the original has convinced the company that Americans are gluttons for Punishment, too.
So it is coming early next year. Very good news.

The controls are going to be so much better too. Pointing the wiimote to aim and using the analog to move. So much better than using the analog to aim and then random other buttons to move.

^ Yeah, I was just thinking of how awesome the controls will be, seems like it'll be the perfect fit for the Wii. Since the original set up was a bit clunky.

I meant a HD successor to Cho Aniki. The formerly Japan only Virtual Console game featuring lots of muscular, almost naked men.
