When I saw that the hint was "The best game in the series" I was kind of hoping it'd be Soul calibur IV...so this was kind of a let-down. Ah well!

It's a good game, but today you're lucky to find more then a few matchs hosted online that DON'T have players with a lower rank then A+. The game has not generated many new players and It's not noob friendly online, that's why It's always good to buy fighters early so you can build up for the later months/years when It's down to pretty much all pros.

This game was awful online... people like in all fighting games would just spam moves online, it was hella frustrating.

I replayed it a few months back of a friend's house and the old DoA magical charm didn't work on me. VF5 has spoiled me.

I didn't notice before but, I started to hate those 'greatest hit' pacakaging when I sorted my game alphabetically. It just look awful. All looks good in all black and all of a sudden you see a pink packaging. It's annoying.
As for the games, doa4 is a good arcade action game that's fast and has deep learning curve if you want to really get into it. This game definitely belongs in the top4 of 3d fighting games alongside tekken, vf, and soul.
Good game at great price. Although, the game's 3yrs old and I would like to see this game retail at under 10bucks.
