That's certainly a different direction.

Way to give us a port of a crappy port, Tecmo!
Seriously, DOA2 on the DC was awesome. Ultimate was such a disappointment.

I saw the title, and though it was going to be dead or alive 5 on 360 or something. What I see makes me sad... Better than nothing I guess...

It was actually announced last year, but I guess this is more of a "it's not dead yet" announcement.

I doubt they could really 'sell' it. I figure it will be an ad supported game. In which case I think it would be awesome. I mean, the game itself is nothing more than DOA2 with match making. Nobody is gonna buy that, especially on the PC. There aren't that many people who play fighting games and the list narrows as you add "PC gamer" factor to the equation. So you need this game to have something with wide appeal. The fact that this game is not very graphically demanding is one things. But 'free' would be the ultimate thing, everybody likes free.
I personally think that the best way for them to make it commercially viable is to use an ad system. And if there is a game in which it would work it is this one. Fights are short, and before each fight you have an ad on a loading screen. The gamers are not annoy with intrusive ad methods and gets a free game and the developer rakes in the cash. Oh, and of course they can and will charge for character customizations.
Thoughts?

Anyone else notice that there was significantly less boob movement in Kasumi's victory animation? Looks like they removed it from DOA2.
....
Just sayin.

This is a great idea, but an even better one would be if ads only played for the loser. Imagine: Ein wins and says his victory taunt, "Good vibrations." The loser sees an ad for either a Marky Mark album or a vibrator! How humiliating would that be?
