Yep. Good game man. I try to keep the offense balanced. Push it sometimes, dump it to the post, stay behind the arc, looking for cuts to the basket. The only time I will keep bombing away form three is if I am so far behind that I have no choice.

Also the automatic new roster update (from Oct. 30) seems to have fixed the league freezing glitch, so no need now to do the steps on the previous page.

Well basically you'll need to register then log in at the 2k community page. Then, you click on "My Team" then "Edit Schedule". From there, you can remove a game from your week 1 que and add the Knicks into your current games que.

I benched Marbury's ass out of frustration because of that foul lol. Crawford had some easy lay ups but he decided to do some crazy ass moves which made it more difficult to score.

Curry, Z-Bo, and Lee had no chance in stopping those two beasts. When I finally had a plan to stop Chandler or West, you'd kick it back out to Peja who torched my ass.

Yeah, it was 60-56 with Hitman winning with 1 minute or so left in the 3rd quarter. After a timeout, he got disconnected and I saw the screen with the "Waiting for player" countdown of 30 seconds. He was still on Live and was able to join a private chat while said countdown was still going on. The game was really good back and forth stuff, too. Fucking 2K servers...

I had good 1st and 4th quarters against MSUHitman, but unlike last night's back and forth attempt at this game, I was outscored by 11 in the 2nd and 9 in the 3rd and never recovered. I had 10 total rebounds in the game. He shot a whopping 71% from the field and got 76 of 89 points in the paint en route to a 89-73 victory. Good game, Jason.

I dominated the first quarter 18-7, but Jason got in his groove and came back within 1 by scoring 23 points in the 2nd. I pulled ahead in the 3rd and managed to maintain my lead for the victory. Both teams had quite a few blocks, with Chris Kaman being the leader with 5.

Laker stat lines:

Bryant- 30 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists
Fisher- 17 points, 10 assists
Bynum- 8 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks

Question: How do injuries work in leagues? Gasol separated his shoulder diving for a loose ball midway through the 1st, and Leandro Barbosa got the same injury in the 3rd.

Amare Stoudemire was the leading scorer of the game with 32 points. Kobe had his second straight 30 point game, all scored in 3 quarters since Phoenix's D shut him down in the 4th and then he came out with 2 minutes left. Both point guards- Steve Nash and Derek Fisher- had 5 points and 9 assists. Andrew Bynum was player of the game with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, and Lamar Odom was money off the bench with 18 points and 6 boards.

Final: Lakers 90, Suns 74.

It was a fun game. I couldn't get Nash going at all, his 2-9 shooting really hurt. When I saw Barbosa dive for that loose ball, the way he landed I just knew they'd give him the injury like Gasol. I laughed. I do usually have a mic, but the wife and baby were asleep, and I tend to get a bit loud sometimes if I have it on.

Well Holy FUCK!!!! The 2K servers just ruined a great game. Matt Young (LA Lakers) and I (Trail Blazers) were playing deep into the fourth quarter. There was 7 seconds left and I had JUST hit a three pointer with Bayless to tie it up. I went through setting up my account and the que so I could play. We get to the fourth and BAM everything gone. Both of us had guys who were having stud games. The score was 107-107. No matter what happens when we replay this game it wont come close to our first game...too bad. They better be putting a patch up for this game if they are taking the servers down.

The games was close up to the middle part of the 3rd quarter, that's when I started to stretch my lead thanks to the big 3 of Arenas, Jamison and Butler, and also the rebounding edge 38-14. Yup..you took over the game in the 3rd quarter, outscored me bigtime (28-13) and my guys went cold in the 2nd haft after pretty much everything I shot in the 1st half was falling in. I almost made a run at the end but just ran out of time. Good games though :)

I have been getting a lot of work recently and I dont think its fair to you guys to just take up a spot in the league with very little hope of playing. My schedule is getting crazier by the day and its just to hard to meet up with you guys and play a game. I should be able to play tomorrow before 6 Pacific. I was pretty busy last week and haven't felt like playing these past few days, between getting Gears 2 and Call of Duty: WaW as well as adjusting mentally and physically after changing medications. But I guess I don't really need to apologize since I still am tied for most games played, and really have played the most since my game with FrankySox was disconnected with 7 seconds left, and I played 3 quarters with MSUHitman before we had to redo the game.

Speaking of FrankySox, why was he moved from the Pacific division, which now has 4 teams (discounting the fact that Denver has no owner) to the Atlantic division, which now has 6 teams?

I don't think it will work, that's only for 20-120. You'll need to get one of those Datel HD backup things, backup the files to your pc, then put them on the 60GB HD.

Well...played a couple of league games tonight and ended up going 1-1, I managed to slip by the Hornets (MSUHitman) 79-75 in a very contested game and lost to the Spurs (ai03mj23) 74-57; The one I lost I just cant believe all the open looks that I had yet my guys kept missing, besides the fact that nothing that I was shooting wanted to go in :( . Duncan (30 pts, 11 rebs) and Ginobili (26 pts - 4/5 3pt) were just too much, specially Duncan killing me in the paint but I deserved it for not double teaming him.

Ugh. I've replaced my 360 (just for future reference, you CAN transfer from a 20gb HDD to a 60 gb HDD using the data migration kit Microsoft sends out) and now my internet is out. Someone came to repair it on Friday and decided doing something outside would fix the problem (it didn't) and never came out. My landlady justifiably was angry and then when Comcast said they couldn't reschedule for two weeks, flipped out and canceled the service. I don't anticipate it being very long until I get back online, but in the meantime, I obviously can't play any games.

Yeah I never take that many outside shots but I couldn't get the ball inside and I've learned you have to be selective with your drives to the basket (especially with Paul.) If Peterson could have hit the broad side of a barn (0-6 from 3) it would have made a big difference. Also most turnovers I've had in a game so your D was tight. Great game.

I'm not about to take sides, but I just want to say that this is one of the few things I hate about leagues- the dude that beat Denver deserves to keep his win, but you don't deserve a loss. But Masked Lemon is a good guy and wouldn't have bailed if he had any other choice, so I'm not faulting him.

I made a mistake. I said I could play on Sunday, but I can't. Turns out there's a hockey game at 5 (my friend has season tickets) and I forgot about it till last night. No one accepted my challenge anyway, but I just wanted to let everyone know.

I have been busy every night this past week between hockey games and the holidays, and I have been going to sleep early to try to adjust so I can get up early (compared to my insomniac/falling asleep well after sunrise schedule) on Monday for a placement exam for school. But after Monday I'll be back to being available often and in the evenings. There's also the strong possibility that I can play Sunday and Monday if we start no later than noon Pacific/3 Eastern.

Yes it was a very fun game. I wish I would have come out on the other side, I'm just glad I've found a camera angle that lets me enjoy the game online. Missing free throws down the stretch isn't going to win you any games!

I just realized Goodfella's season recap was wrong. The Mavericks don't have the best record at 4-0. They're 2-0. I had the best record at 3-1. Now I'm tied with MSUHitman, who beat me. But I would have the higher seeding due to being a division leader. Still, he's out of a playoff spot (I know it's very early) and I'm ranked 2nd in the conference due to the Mavericks being 2-0.

Alright, I won't make a huge fuss if everybody thinks the other way, but I don't see how it's fair to penalize me over the person who just joined the league. I was here from the beginning. Makes more sense to me that the penalty for joining late is you take whatever record your team had before you joined.

Also, it could make the league take a lot longer. What if someone drops out when they've already played 8 games? Are we going to have to wait for the new guy to play all 8 of those games while the rest of us sit around waiting? Obviously I'm biased, but I think it makes more sense to just keep the records the way they are.

What is your definition of a Kobe cheeser? Of course I use Bryant as my main offensive option because he's the best player on my team and one of the best in the league.

Yeah, but I'm talking every time down the court you drive in with kobe through any defense and he throws up a wild shot or rampages through everything receiving a dunk and usually an undeserved blocking foul. When you score 65 with kobe and your team total is 75, your cheesing.

Oh, okay. I'll admit, I will go for the dunk if I think I have an easy 2, but I often try to set up my offense for the best possible open shot whether it's Kobe taking it or not. I'm averaging 88.5 ppg with my team and Kobe's averaging 31.3 per.

As for the replacement issue, I was referring to down the line like if, such as in a scenario someone suggested, a user has played 8 games and then is replaced. Resetting the record then would not only be unfair, but would basically kill the league. I was just wondering what Goodfella's stance was.

Yeah, if you are the one who is disconnected, you get the loss regardless of score. I guess that because the game has no way to discern between intentional quitters and simple lost connections.

I'll have to look into it some more but for now I can only see trade offers. When I try to use the "analize" option nothing happens.

I don't think it'd be fair to accept it for him. What if he doesn't want to give up Randolph? The rosters are outdated now, yes, but we essentially severed all ties to the real NBA once we started our season. Trades, injuries, etc. should be determined by the players in the 2K9 league itself.

Yeah I agree. We can't follow everything that happens in the NBA, this is a separate franchise. Greg Oden got injured on my team but I'm not asking to have the commish take him off the injured list since he's not injured in real life. I mean I'm 1-3 and I'm not asking to reset my record to what the Blazers record actually was after four games. I think once you start the league you accept that any changes made in the real NBA are irrelevant, as we've started our own simulation.

Updated the OP with XBL gamertag for all league members. Click on the 360 icon next to the user's CAG name to send the user a Xbox live PM when you want to play a league game.

Also want to remind all that in order for 2K sports to recognize the league games that you played you must choose the "send challenge" option when you are in the league lobby and are getting ready to play against an opponent. DO NOT CHOOSE the "send custom challenge" option or else your match will not count! I have no control over this....blame it on 2K sports and their crazy ways :)

Okay first off, I was trying to get you to drive to the hoop, and you weren't taking it. I moved everyone out of the way once to see if you'd take it, which you didn't. I just wanted to get a feel for how you play, I figure it out, terribly slow and boring, which is fine I just wanted to know so I could set up my defense for the situation. I also like to play a fast paced game where I don't like to hold the ball more than ten seconds. Also my DNF was ZERO before going into that game. I believe the score was 25-12 in the second quarter and you think I would have quit because of that? That is hardly a blowout. My record is 1-3 and you think I just picked my game with you to quit? I'm sure the people I've played with here will cover for me. In my last game I was down to the Mavericks by about 15 but kept in it for a while until the fourth quarter which is when I started getting blasted. I hate quitting games and I get pissed when people do it. I figured you got disconnected too kind of like what happened when me and Matt Young played our game.

I sent you a message on Xbox right after you sent yours saying that I would spot you back the points. I didn't quit on purpose and would love to play you again. Also it's very hard for me to go in low because Oden is done forever, so expect a ton more threes.

I got disconnected with FrankySox again. This time it was the 2k servers. I was leading by 21 a few minutes into the 4th, so, I'm not sure he still wants to play again or what. I like ultra-outrebounded him because of his 2-3 zone.

What I'm confused about is the same thing happened to Matt and I but the game didn't count, maybe because we were tied. I'm not saying this shouldn't count because you had me fair and square (Probably twice). Plus I'm glad it counted because I don't want to play you again.

Get over the fact that I killed you. Plus cherry picking was not really my game plan at all; I didn't score too many fast break points. I just like a fast tempo to a game and could tell I'd get you out of your rhythm with it.
