CC's in Sj CA seem to be hanging at 20% off for games ... But PC games are up to 30% and Cc on Stevens Creek has a ton of 1600 point cards behind the register ...

The sign said 40% off, but I don't think they had changed it in a while. They were in the process of changing some signs. It's possible that it is now 50% off, but I can't confirm that.

Why would you save vacation time? Vacation time was created so that people can be away from work, be replenished and go back to work energized. A "fresh" employee will perform better than someone that never takes vacation. You are an idiot if you save your vacation, some employers will not pay your vacation if you get fired.
Judging by your post, I'm guessing that you don't have any kids?
Seriously though - having at least some vacation accrued certainly does NOT make you an idiot. Especially once you have a family....having some vacation time to fall back on in emergency situations is incredibly helpful. A "fresh" employee won't be very fresh if they've got a sick familly member at home that they can't take care of, or are paying someone else to watch if they are kids staying home from school.
And that is just for the more "normal" occurances for any working-class person with a family.....god forbid if something REALLY bad happens and a serious emergency comes up (like hospitalization, death in the family, etc.) Many companies don't have "sick" time per se - and lump everything together in PTO (Paid/Personal Time Off). If you don't have anything accrued, you're looking at unpaid time off at best. Not a good time to have no paycheck coming in to be sure. Try to think of it as an "insurance policy" that will give you some peace of mind in tough times.
And of course - having accrued vacation certainly makes it easier to take a decent vacation. Anyone with travel plans will almost certainly want to maximize the time they have away from home if possible. If you're laying out a lot of money to travel somewhere....why bother if you're only going for a few days at most? Your return on what is probably a sizable investment (especially for a family) is minimal at best.
Finally - regarding being paid out vacation time in the event of termination...this is actually controlled by State law (not Federal law). Some states have a policy that you must be paid out any accrued vacation, others defer to the specific policies of the company (per each employment contract). The case of Circuit City may be different across the board because it is in Chapter 7, and ALL the employees being fired are a result. Payback obligations fall to the creditors and shareholders first....and I don't know the details of where PTO payouts fall under bankruptcy code (if anywhere).
Anyway, sorry about the rant - but you basically called hardworking people everywhere "idiots", and I had to disagree. I think the idiots are the ones that aren't responsible, and don't take steps to plan for the future...especially if they've got people besides themselves to think about!! :D

I may or may not have mentioned it before in here, but the CC in Monaca, PA had a bin full of Sandisk Cruzer Micro 4GB jump drives for $8 a piece. That was a week ago, so they may be about $7 by now if your local CC has some.
For anyone looking for cheap flash drives. :)

Picked up The World Ends With You for $21. I was afraid to wait for a further drop because I haven't seen it at any other CC. Or anywhere else but GS and EB for that matter. A potential savings of $3 doesn't really matter to me if I can potentially miss out all together.
So far this sale has been good to me. picked up mostly clearance games with another 20% off.

Here's just one example, I had 150 hours of vacation time at the end of October from not taking hardly any vacation for a year. Why? Because I was going to need to take the whole month of November off for the birth of my son.
At my office, it is not uncommon for people to have upwards of 200 hours of vacation. Some, like my immediate boss, even run into the situation where they *must* take leave or lose it as we're only allowed to carry over 240 hours (6 weeks) year to year. Also, we have a large international worker base, so many take two months off every other year to do international travel.
I dont really see how any company can get away with not paying accrued leave. It's part of your compensation package for work you've already done. It would be like paying you $500 for a job then a month later taking back $50.
Fortunately, my agency pays off accrued vacation upon separation. They dont pay sick leave though, hence, I use that up about as quick as I earn it.
That's pretty much a standard for full-time employees - if you leave a job on your own accord (with two weeks notice), you'll get paid for all of the vacation days you didn't take, but not sick days.
Although at my company, you're not allowed to save up vacation days over the years. You have to use your 10 days before the end of your yearly anniversary.

Went to the CC in Fullerton, CA. Games and DVDs there are now 30% off... Picked up the last copy of Okami for the Wii. It was marked at $39.99, but rang up as $13.99 - 30% off of 19.99. No MS or Wii point cards... DVD section was a disorganized mess, but everything was too expensive to bother with anyways.

Okay so here's my CC experience-
When I heard of the 20% console drop, I went to CC to see if they had any PS3's. They didn't, but they had some 360 Premiums and 360 Arcades. I was considering the Premium, but a little low on cash.
Arcade - $159.99
Premium - $239.99
I figured I could get a 20gb on Ebay for $30-40 so I went with the Arcade. That and Sonic Tennis seemed like a better bundle game than Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda.
I regret it afterwards when I started using a memory card, but then I heard about the 30% off games/accessories update so I went down again.
Sure enough, the 60gb Live Starter Kit was $69.99. So I got that and Gears of War 2 for $41.99 brand new.
If anyone wants a 360 Premium or Arcade, I'm willing to get them for you for the price + tax + real shipping cost. I won't charge you extra for gas or time.
They had no 1600 points cards, no PS3's, no PSP's and no 360 Elites.

1. I have 2 kids, a 1.5 year old and a 4.5 year old
2. I never said accruing vacation time made you an idiot, what makes you an idiot is having 100+ hours accrued as "vacation" and not using this.
3. Some employers offer sick time for those kinds of things you mention. I think most employers have a policy of "use it or lose it" for sick time. Then, you can use your vacation time to get relaxed and go back to work "fresh".
4. If you only have PTO then yes I agree with you about saving that time off for situations like you mention.
5. How long do you need to be away on your travel? If you are away for a week that's only 40 hours. Again, if you have 100+ hours, use your vacation time!
6. If you company goes bankrupt, then say goodbye to the 401k matching and to your vacation , sick time and PTO. If you know your company is in financial trouble (like CC in this case, then use your vacation time!). I think in most instance you get your PTO / vacation paid if you are terminated, but I rather not gamble and take my time off.
7. I did not call "hardworking people" idiots (you are assuming too much), idiots are those than don't use their time off properly, just look at those people at Circuit City, they got nothing out of their 100+ hours of time off accrued.

Actually it looked like the 360's were marked at 10% but I'm pretty sure they weren't above 20%. As far as new games, it's looking doubtful ... I suspect that we're seeing whatever is left over in CC's warehouses, so it's mostly established and released games ... if it hasn't shipped yet, which neither of those have, then odds are it's not going to show up.
I have to say, 30% still isn't much of a deal with the prices at CC ... only thing worth getting are items that hold a fairly regular value ... time cards and points cards .. speaking of which, anyone who's looking to get into Warhammer ... wait about 2 weeks and you'll be able to pick up 60 day timecards for $10 or less ... those things are selling .. WoW on the other hand is wiped ... I guess there's always those Hellsgate London copies sitting around ... ;-)

My CC has 100+ 1600 Microsoft Points cards. They ring up $14 still.
I accidentally dropped a few behind a shelf by accident.
I suppose I'll have to go back and try to get them back when they hit 50% off.
I also counted 300+ wireless controllers and about 50+ World Tour full band kit for 30% off.

I'm thinking all stores in MI are running 40% games now. lol. Ive read 2 posters from different locations in MI and now the Saginaw, MI one is also doing 40% games, dvds, and cds. They are pretty much picked through, though I was able to snag a wii copy of Okami and Star Ocean: First Departure for the PSP.
Total was like $38 after taxes.
I'm hoping to get more tomorrow. I had my sights on getting Sam and Max (Wii), Prince of Persia (360), and a couple of dvds.
They had a nice selection of 360 games. But I already own most of em. Not so much for Wii or PSP besides Star Ocean( I think I got the last copy). And I didnt look through the PS3 games since I dont own a PS3. Saw some gems for the DS though:
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2
Dragon warrior Monsters
Final Fantasy V or VI...cant remember which.
But I already have Chrono Trigger and FFV and VI on PS1 so........not real interested in having them for DS. But great games.
No accessories whatsoever aside from Wii Remote wrappers. No systems either, not even handhelds. :(
Also........this location had a sign saying "LAST 10 DAYS"
Kinda sucks..but oh well I got a good deal today, and maybe more tomorrow.

I went to a couple of different stores today, one in Downers Grove, IL (off of I-88) and picked up a couple of games. Games and Accessories are 30% off right now, games up from 20%. I got rock band 2 (just the game) and mercenaries 2 (this was already marked down, WOO HOO). Not too many accessories here, some cabling and rock band drum suppressors but that's about it. Then I stopped by the store in Berwyn and 360 and ps3 games are still 20% and wii games are 25% but accessories are 30%. The had a ton of accessories for the 360 and ps3, controller battery/charger, cables and most importantly TONS of 1600pt. cards for the 360. Picked up a couple of the 1600 cards and that's it. Probably gonna wait for the next reduction then I'l go hog wild, :bouncy:. Sorry didn't really check on other reductions other then dvd's and they were 30%. hope this helps!!!
Also the downers grove store had a TON of guitar hero and rock band sets for various systems, especially guitar hero 3 sets (guitar and game). They had them in various spots around the store and if your familiar with that store they moved all the games to the front of the store off to the left right after you pass the registers!!!!!
Update: Sorry, forgot to mention at the Downers Grove store they had a bunch (maybe 8 to 10) x360 arcade bundles and 2 or 3 elite systems (which I was surprised to see). Also I saw 2 ps3 machines, not sure what bundle. I believe the systems were 20% off but not entirely sure.
Picked up a Socom Confrontation headset bundle at 30% off to day. $45 including tax isnt too bad.

The CC in Arlington, TX is out of Xbox Live Points Cards :bomb:. They still have the same discount from a week ago. So games are 20% off (lame) and gaming accessories 30% off.
I checked the price on a Panasonic Plasma 50Z80U was $1500, same price of the current model 85U pretty much everywhere .
The had like 20-30 Panasonic plasma in boxes all over the floor, tons of Guitar Hero stuff and some RB related.
I am thinking about getting a 360 arcade. But CC keeps getting in small shipments here and there. Do I wait till they drop to 40%? One of the employess told me, (from what he heard from the liquidators) the lowest they're gonna go on new games is 50%. If I had to guess, if true, probably at the end of march?

do not buy the Wii version your arms will be tired in like 10 minutes of holding up the controller as a gun, and the Wii version has less health and ammo picks ups, and More enemies.
So your complaint with RE4 Wii edition is that you suck at Resident Evil?
Problem solved: rest your arm on the arm rest of your couch or maybe your knee or something. I've finished this game and I don't remember ever getting fatigued. Aiming is a hell of a lot easier with the remote.
Other problem solved: aim for the knees, and either kick/suplex or use that knife (where the waggle truly shines). I can't wait to use that stomp/impale in RE5!
Other benefits of Wii version include: extra 3-4 hour Ada campaign, new guns and outfits, native widescreen support.
But hey, $5 for the best game of the last generation isn't bad! :-D

Whoa, whoa ... that might be sacrilege ... no Wii anything is over anything non-Wii ever ... at least thus far in my experience (jk ... sort of). But seriously, RE2, if properly updated would be the pinnacle of the RE series ... the end of RE4 made me feel like I had inserted Metal Gear Solid into my Wii. 4 is a good game, but I can't let it stand as best in the series ... so folks, if you can pick up any of the older gamecube RE's at CC ... don't let them get away ...

I do have to admit that the Wii RE4 is the best edition of the game ... because it has the added content of the PS2 version and is playable on Wii with controls that allow for more precision. I just had to stand up to the notion that it's the best in the series ... the one plus on the wii is that you can collect the entire series ... until 5 at least ...

I want to say that the PS2 edition was a definite graphical downgrade, the Gamecube controller was far superior for the gameplay, and the Wii edition blows them both away.

Thank you, sir. GTA IV SE is complete and in mint condition. The disc doesn't appear to have been used at all. The Fable II LE's extra content code has been exposed, so I imagine it's been used already. The game disc has a minor circular mark around 1/4 of the outer edge, but it appears superficial. I will test it to see if any disc-read issues are immediately apparent.
I am going to hit a few more CCs today. I'm looking to get Bioshock for 360, Oblivion: Shivering Isles for 360, perhaps Boom Blox for the Wii, and whatever else is a good deal.

I stopped by the CC in Mt. Laurel, NJ yesterday:
Games & Aceesories are at 30% off. "Social gaming" (I think I read that includes GH & Rock Band and the such) was still at 20% off. Not sure about consoles.
I picked up Fallout 3 (360), a Wii remote (they still had at least 10 or so) and a Wii points card (they had a ton of them).
Just a reminder to everyone, the liquidators can start taking stuff off of shelves and packing them up at any time. There are posts in this thread indicating that this has already happened at some stores. The moral of this story is that you shouldn't wait too long to bite if your local CC has something you want. IMO, at 30% off, I think it's time to bite on some of these deals.

Does anyone have a list of which stores are closing in the next week or so. I think I saw a post earlier that some stores are closing in 10 days.
If no one has a list, does anyone know when the Tuscaloosa, AL store is closing?
The one in Alexandria, LA is closing within the next week. Not sure about Baton Rouge, LA by the Mall of Louisiana. Gonna check it out Sunday, I suppose.
I got The Club for $10.18, last night.

Don't know about the systems, but the games, assuming they are new, are:
Uncharted - $59.99
Heavenly Sword - $59.99
Folklore -$19.96
Definitely get Folklore as that would be about $14 after 30% off.

PC games were finally being touched at 30% off but alot of spores, some unreal, gears, fall out, dead space, RTS(s)...

Well, video game accessories are now @ 40% off at my store. Unfortunately, the only accessory worth getting is the 360 wireless adapter. No cards, no controllers...
They also aren't selling videogames. They told me that they had to round up all the games, movies and cds that were left so they could send them over to other stores, which sucks humongous amounts of ass. There are a lot of Guitar Hero WT bundles though @ 30% off. Might grab one of those later.
I did get Sims 2 Deluxe for $3.49 though, so I didn't come away empty handed.

Games went up to 30% off. All the big names are there for the PS3. I didn't check the 360 or Wii. I ended up buying Oblivion and Fall Out 3 Collector's Edition for a total of $58.XX. the PSN cards are gift cards and are excluded from the discounts. Most stores are not selling them anymore as if you buy them, the liquidators can't activate them. So along with anything gift card wise that has to be activated via the register, avoid a purchase.

Notes on the Monaca, PA CC:
Games, DVDs, Blu-rays, and CDs: 30%
Game Guides: 40%
They had a display model 40GB PS3 for $360, which was absurd IMO
They had some Wii Fit mats, but no Wii Fits or Wii's.
They had one "lunchbox" Fallout 3 CE for PS3. It was marked at $80, so I'm guessing it is also 30% off of that price.
They had a bunch of GH Aerosmith and GH III: LoR for PS3.
They had a bunch of GH Les Paul guitars for Xbox 360 and Wii.
Guitar Hero World Tour box set was marked at $190 for PS3.(that was a hand written sign)
@the Alliance, OH guy: I'm most likely going to Canton tomorrow instead of Niles since Niles most likely hasn't restocked.
Also, at Monaca I found a 1month card for XBL that was 30% off of $8. I was going to buy it, but I spotted a clamshell 12 month card behind the register in a bin and got them to sell it to me for $35 after the discount.
EDIT: they also had 4 PS2s at Monaca, but they were all 7xxxx series models. The white singstar bundle was gone. :(
Also for Pittsburgh/Monaca area people: the target at the Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca has about 10 Wiis in stock as of tonight.

Got back from my CC (Maryland Parkway next to the Boulevard mall in Vegas) and they were picked clean. Games were 30% off but it was slim pickings. I did manage to find one copy of The World Ends With You on DS ($22 after discount), Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ on DS ($14, this game looks horrible but the title and art work is fantastic LOL).
They still had some games in the glass case:
PS3: Resistance 2, Mirror's Edge, COD:WAW, PoP, Fallout 3, Saint's Row 2
360: Mirror's Edge, COD:WAW, PoP, Fallout 3, Sain't Row 2
I grabbed a copy of Resistance 2, came out to $41.99.
There's a hand written sign up that says they have more 360 Arcade bundles in the back and they're $159. I think that's the only console they have left. No DS systems, nor PSP systems or PS3s and Wii's.
Oh ya, no point cards at all for any system. No controllers (heck the accessories aisle for the 360 and PS3 were practically blank. Still got a lot of Wii accessories (like wireless sensor bars).
I was lookin for L4D for the PC but they were out. I did spot PC copies of Farcry 2, Fallout 3, and COD:WAW. Also 30% off.

Few quick notes for those in Saint Louis. The CC in Gravois Bluffs still is only offering 20% games. This may be due to the vast amount of games left, especially PS3,and they want to try to sell the major titles. Also,I did not check quantities in store, but I saw Slackers and their van in front loading PS3 consoles in the back.I assume that game stores are buying up quantities of consoles at the reduced price and are going to resale for full price.IF YOU NEED A CONSOLE I SUGGEST BUYING SOON!

I spoke with the Manager of the CC in Monroeville, PA...they are NOT getting any more consoles, and dealers have been buying them up like mad. They had less than 10 total PS3 systems left, so I said screw it and stopped waiting for the price to drop further.

Wilkes Barre, PA.. Went to pick up a Rock Band stage kit today... Signs said 30% off games and accessories, but it rang up at 79.99... I left it behind, I'll wait for a 10% off Best Buy coupon and get it there with some of my RZ coupons... No accessories left (hard drives, points cards, controllers)
Anybody have a report from the Dickson City, PA Store??

My local store in Yonkers, NY has games now at 30% off and used games at 40% off. Never knew they had used games at Circuit City before. The place though was pretty cleaned out of accessories with just crap left. I picked up Burnout Paradise for 360 for 14 bucks which wasn't so bad.
Doh. I was meaning to go there on Saturday hoping to find a 1600 MS point card. Guess I'll hit up the White Plains CC. I'll report in with what I'll find.

A word of advice: take a careful glance behind the main counter for bins. I found my 12+1 XBL card today laying on the top of one of those. I asked if I could buy it, and they sold it to me.(a clamshell one, that is)

Lurker here, thought I'd contribute.
Just got back from the one in West Little Rock, Arkansas.
Console games = 20%; great selection. Multiple copies of most of the big games from last year, including Fallout 3, Mirror's Edge, Fable 2, etc. Didn't buy anything because...
PC games = 30%; Got real lucky here. Picked up their last copy of Fallout 3, Red Alert 3, and Company of Heroes. Companies of Heroes had $30 on the box, range up at something like $10.XX. Otherwise, still a great selection of PC games. Far Cry 2, WoW and all expansions, Supreme Commander, Spore, etcetera etcetera. Even a Fallout 3 lunchbox special edition.
No word on when ours ends, didn't think to ask.

My CC has 30% off PC but 20% off console games.
A lot of PC games available, like 6-8 L4D's fallout 3's about 5x, a ton of WoW's. I'm gonna hope for 40% off to scope out the PC games again. thought about picking up CS:S for $14 or so..
Fixtures are all for sale and the sign is UP TO 50%...

Went into my local CC today to check (like i do everyday) and they had GOW1 special edition for 20. I'll probably go back tomorrow and grab 1. A different CC in town had about 8 legendary editions of Halo 3 marked 40 bucks. If i didnt already own the game i would have swooped that up in a second.

Every CC that I've been to here in MN have had the 1600 MS point cards behind the customer service desk since the initial weekend of the liquidation.
That is your best (and sometimes only) bet for point cards right now. Just walk up (wait in line most likely) and ask if they have any in a bin behind the counter or in back. I do have a CC near me that doesn't have a customer service desk...so I had no idea what to do there since all the employees were helping other people.

Hit the Rockville, MD store tonight. The store's pretty beat up--for some reason the place was filled with people buying cameras. I guess 30% is the right price for many people.
Games are 30% off--looked in the case and saw a decent variety of 360 and PS3 games, including the Fallout 3 CE lunchbox for PS3. No accessories other than 3rd party Wii drivel, although I am kicking myself now for not checking behind the counter for any potential scores.
No consoles in sight other than 2 very beat up PS2 boxes. I don't think the store has seen a shipment in a while, yet the kid I spoke to said the store is supposed to be open until late March. He could have been blowing sunshine up my ass, however--he was more concerned with getting his iPod playing music at the register than anything else. I can't really fault him. The job's got to suck right now.
I did notice one thing--the signs up at the Rockville store now say 10-50% off. However, I couldn't find anything that was actually 50% off. Does anyone know what genre of electronic goodie is dropping that low? Could this be a sign that this particular store is going under sooner rather than later?

Now I can talk about it a little more.
All stores in Michigan, except for Ann Arbor, will be having their last open-to-the-public on Monday the 16th. My store (Madison Heights) will be selling fixtures on the 17th and 18th, and then that's it. So the discounts should be going down about every 2 or 3 days.
What's different about the Ann Arbor store? Closing earlier? Later? Already gone? I was in there maybe two weeks ago but at that point the discounts were still just 10% for games- I only picked up a couple of CDs at 20% off. I may go in tomorrow just to see what's there.

Went to the Encinitas, CA store today. Wii section was picked clean to where there were no decent games and they had no controllers.
Nothing really peaked my interest in the 360 section (20% off games still marked at 59.99), no MS point cards (I asked one person if they had any and they gave me a dumb look like they had no idea what it was)
Though I did find something special, Gears of War 1 and Crackdown for 59.99. Didn't bother to see if they just hadn't been tagged in a while, so it could have been cheaper in the computer.
Just hopefully they bump the discounts up to 40+% eventually, so I'm not wasting my time driving 20 minutes there for no reason.

I went to the Plano, TX store off of Parker first thing this morning to see if it happens to be one of the restocking stores but it didn't look like it. All 1600 pt cards were gone but all other accessories for the 360 were there, PS3 accessories were wiped clean except for component cables and some 3rd party stuff and just sensor bars for the Wii.
I picked up the last copy of FF:CC and No More Heros and a couple other games and as I was checking out I saw a couple Wiis behind the counter. I asked if they had already been sold since they were on the conveyor belt but they were up for sale. I picked one up and the lady next to me grabbed the other; feeling lucky I asked if they had any 360 elites and the nice girl behind the counter said sure and walked to the back and brought one out! Based on what she told me there are a few more back there...
The store still has all the recent PS3 releases, nothing good for the PS2, many 360 games, a decent amount of DS and Wii games and a full row of PC games.
Cheers,
~R
Edit: 30% off games and acc, 20% off consoles, didn't really pay attention to anything else.

I called my local CC store ( Portland, OR ) this morning to see if they still had PS3's left and the lady said they only had 1. So, I rushed down there to grab it and luckily got it before anyone else did. Then as I'm walking through the store to check other stuff out, they pull out 6 more from the back. =\
Oh well, I at least got one.. was hoping to wait until they were 30% off, but 20% is good enough for me I suppose.

Just FYI, I think the liquidators have been shipping in copies of the Sims 2 Deluxe (not Double Deluxe) in massive quantities to many Circuit City locations. Here's the kicker ... they ring up at $3.50 ... not a bad deal if you don't have the game. I know it was posted that someone got the Sims 2 for that price earlier, but it seems like it should be universal for these copies. The cashier who rang me up was shocked because the computer said they had 80 copies at that store alone ...

Went to the CC store in Victorville,CA games, dvd, blu rays are now 30% off. Lots of crap PS3 titles left, X360 aisle almost done, Wii and DS games almost all gone. People out here think they are getting a bargain. The place is almost picked clean except for the audio and home theater stuff.
I guess that what I get for living in an area where majority of the adults are employed either by the state, city, county, feds, or military. They know their jobs are not going anywhere aoon so they don't care too much about saving.

I didn't get a strange email like that, but I did get an email about slashed prices stating what is 30%, 40%, etc. This is the second one I got as well. I didn't notice a weird link at the bottom. I went to two CC today. One on Sunset in Los Angeles, CA, they had some decent titles but nothing I wanted. All the games were 30% I know they had a couple Rock Band 2, GH World Tour, and a couple others for PS3 and Xbox360 didnt really check everything else.
I then went to the CC by my friends house in Buena Park, and it was a joke. Nothing that was great, but they all were 30% as well. So I ended up getting Lord of the Rings Conquest for 35.99. They ended mislabeling it for $50 instead of $60 so I said why not. I did contemplate getting Bad Company or Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

Yeah, I got them twice, including one an hour or two before. I think they are legit links, although it sucks that citcuit city sold my email to the liquidation company. I wonder if all of a sudden we will start getting ones from other stores going out of business, no matter if they relate to our interests at all......

I too got the email about the 30% off and I've been looking at the Sony HDR-CX12 HD Camcorder which is $900msrp. So if they possibly have this at my store it will end up being $630 after the 30% off? I didn't hear the reason why, but the Ann Arbor store is closing later than the others. They must either be selling the best in the region, or maybe left over product from the other stores will be sent there.

I was at the Short Pump Richmond CC last night -- still plenty of games, DS, PS2, PS3, 360, Wii, same pile of GBA games they have had for years, all 30% off. No more Animal Crossing DS though :-( I watched an older couple agonize over picking up Namco Museum for the PS2, it was funny and painful all at the same time.
Still plenty of Guitar Hero and Rockband stuff, incl GH rechargeable battery packs, and GH DS.
I carried around some "Lord of the Rings Extended" boxed sets for a while, but decided to skip. They still had 2 disc editions of Ben Stiller's "Night in the Museum" marked all the way back up to $29 before discount (wtf).
I tried to buy a cheap Ninja Town DS for my kid, but they had marked it back up to $29.99 before the discount, pricing it at $20 and some change after discount--I grumbled and walked out.

I stopped by the Merrillville, IN CC last night. Games and accessories went to 30% off there. Scoped around for a good amount of time but didn't see anything worth picking up. All the points cards were gone, leaving only the one-month subscription cards left. One more drop on the games and I'll be more inclined to bite on something.
Consoles were 20% off, too. I'm eyeing a PSP right now, which is $135.99 with the price cut. I'll certainly be picking one up when the drop is worth it.
Other than that, just ended up snagging a 1GB Sansa Clip for $27.99. I can at least listen to some podcasts and such on the road and at work. It also records voice messages and can record FM radio, then rip it to your hard drive. Neat little feature, especially if I want to record lectures.

I would avoid making a special trip to the Canton, OH location unless you happen to be in the area. I went after work last night and it was pretty picked through. Games are now at 30% off, they did have some GTA IV and Metal Gear Solid 4's for the PS3, then a bunch of throw away games. I didn't really see much of interest in the 360 section at all. They did have a few 360's left in stock at 20% off, but no PS3's left. So I went on Dell and ordered one from there with the 20% off coupon (deal is now dead), worked out to the same price, just have to wait for it now. I didn't see any 360 or PSN point cards or XBL subscriptions. There were lots of GH sets for all of the systems, but I don't think many/any full band sets. I belive they were mostly GH:Aerosmith sets and were 20% off. There were some TV's left, but mostly really large ones, I think they were mostly at 25% off now. I didn't get a good look at the PC game section, as I don't play many PC games lately. Best of luck if you do go, let me know if there's something I should consider going back for I may have overlooked.

I went into my CC this week and couldn't believe the high prices. It's like they don't want to clear out the video games. Timeshift $60. That's all you need to know. There really isn't a reason to go there looking for a good deal IMO. All of accessories were totally cleared out too.

@ Dabamus
Weird, I went to that same store last weekend (I live in Massillon), and they literally had no games section except for PC games. I went through the entire store, but the location where all of the games used to be was gone, and they were nowhere else in the store. If they are back now, they must have moved them all to the back to be snickered or something, but they certainly were not there when I went last weekend. They did have a pretty good PC selection last week, but with all of the games being pushed back to full price anyways, after getting the discounted percentage, the prices were still higher than they used to be.

Anybody know what the price of Mirrors Edge is at CC? Thinking about picking it up at my CC, but want to get it for $30-$37 range.
At GameStop the used version is $44.99. Take off the combined 20% using the Edge card and the 10% off coupon and you can get it for $35 or $36.

I was there at 11:00 AM last Sunday (2/1/09), they had 3 aisles full of games on the right side of the store beyond the dvds, they also had piles of PS3s and some 360s (no elites or Wiis) the only accessories left were aftermarket Wii & DS crap.

Clamshell cases are the ones able to be bought and used. Otherwise, they require activation at the register and will not activate. Basically if they're sitting there not in a shell, don't grab them.
Going to go check out my CC today. They're pretty wiped out on accessories (though I may pick up an Action Replay DS if it's still there) but maybe they have a good deal on guides/games. They have an Oblivion GOTY (guide) I might grab for $12 or so.
