Taylor, MI store is almost cleaned out. 50% off software.

They had mostly PC games left along with some old xbox and ps2 stuff.

I grabbed the last copy of Fallout 3, luckily. Picked up Crysis and Wahammer Online aswell. Crysis was $20, which I was on the fence about but whatever.

I may have to swing out tonight and check what's left. Anyone know what Hard Drives (PC) are discounted to?

My store is cleaned out of systems except for about 15 PSP's. I guess nobody wants a PSP.

If you want anything you better go today. At 40% things are going to get wiped out quickly.

this wasn't a videogame thing, but i needed a set of headphones for my class and at my circuit city they had one pair of these fucking sweet Metallica: Death Magnetic limited edition headphones that i absolutely pounced on. as for actual movies and videogames, they were lacking BIG time.

Havent been there since Monday, but still had a decent selection of 360/PS3 games, Wii games were scarse. No XBL point cards.

as far as the name, I actually only recently moved to Boise (from Portland) and have been using this name long before I got to Boise and was pretty suprised to find a place names Pojo's

Its actually an obscure video game reference. There was an N64 game called Mace the Dark Ages that had a chicken name Pojo as a secret character. I was like 10 at the time and would yell out"Im gonna be Pojo Mofo!" and I decided that was a decent tag.

Im sure that more than you ever wanted to know, but the Boise CC last I saw had lots of 360 and PS3 games, including newer games.

I was at the CC in West Jordan Utah yesterday, still have to watch out. Games were 30% off but were still at full MSRP, example, Virtua Fighter 5 was $39.99 at 30% off, it can be picked up new on Amazon for $19.99.

An olympus camera was $89.99 after 30% off, was $85 on amazon. Take a internet enabled phone if you go, my advice.

Did you have them scan the VF5 or were you going by sticker price? I'm pretty sure VF5 was $19.99 at my CC before discount.

The prices have changed at the Fort Wayne CC as well. I didn't see too much that really called to me, but I was able to get a copy MGS: Portable Opps and Space Invaders Extreme for $11.99 each. Patapon was the same price, but I passed on that. I'm trying to cut back. They did have one copy of Fallout 3 CE for PS3 in stock when I was there. I passed on that, since I want it for the PC.

Hmm thats funny. I got Spade Invaders Extreme for $6.99 a week ago.

so it's 40% now so if i want a new 360 i should grab it?

I believe they said that consoles are @ 25% off. Grabbed my 360 Pro yesterday @ 20% off cause they only had 2 left so i didnt want to take the chance that it would be gone by the time they discounted more. CC employees said that consoles were not being restocked unless they're coming from other closed stores. By the sounds of inventory from everyone on this thread, it doesnt sound like too many of them are floating around.

Employee said 30% off wii's (no signs for conformation). THey had like 20 left. No other systems. I picked up ME (mirror's edge not mass effect). Though about dead space but, there will be many scary games like RE5 and Fear2 (I know that one is already out). I wanted something original. NO L4D! NO fallout 3 in 360 however, PC and PS3. Thanks for letting me know they would be 40% today.

One more thing, the employee told me no store anywhere was getting anymore shipments now the warehouses were empty? Is that true I keep seeing all the shipment posts!?

Picked up fallout 3 collectors edition for ps3 marked $79.99 for $35. (40% off)

That's some interesting math there. Looks more like 56% off to me.

Can confirm that Games are at 40% and RB/GH stuff is at 30% in North Dallas. Visited Frisco and Addison stores today. Frisco by far had the widest selection. Plenty of RB2, Left4Dead, Prince of Persia, Mirror's Edge and Dead Space and one Gears of War 2. Wii was less interesting.

Addison had Fable 2 and Fallout 3 for both 360 & PS3 and a handful of X360 Arcades (but it was still labeled at 20% off)

Not sure what they were marking it down from, but I picked up the official XBOX 360 wireless wheel for $28 which I'd been looking at for a while.

At East Madison, Wi, they just dropped to 40% off today. (25% off consoles)

Got a 80gb PS3, spore, and resistance 2 (And Sims 2 for $4 :P)

They had 160gb PS3s marked at $275, but it was the normal price ($375) in the computer.

I just got back from the Warrington, PA store. All games and accessories are 40% off, Rock Band/Guitar Hero stuff is 30% (they had a ton of GH guitars and some Rock Band Special Editions for the PS3, as well as Regular Rock Band II stuff), CD's/DVD's 40%. I didn't look at anything else because I was way too happy with my finds:

2 Pink 360 Controllers $22.78 each
2 Pink 360 Batteries $4.78 each
:ps2:Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories $17.99

And the funny thing is I just bought a pink controller off someone else here because I was looking for one for my little sister. I grabbed the ones at CC to have some extra controllers when friends comes to play games (and with that cheap price I was happy to get them).:bouncy:

This is probably the last time I'm walking into a CC, though. I have enough games on my backlog I don't need anymore.

Went in to Syracuse, NY and everything was still 30% and 20%. I want the Mad Catz Fender Bass for Rock Band, and that was STILL 20% (fuck Social Gaming...)

Anyways, I found Jam Sessions for the DS for $12, with 30% off DS games. Bring it to the register, and it's $17. I said it says it was $12, and that was pre-discount. The girl at the register got really upset and was telling me how she cant change the price for me, it DOES make no sense but she's had all her privileges to do anything taken away. I felt awful. I told her I understand and I'm sorry, and I will put it back since I won't be getting it at $17. She apologized, but was saying how in the past she'd have given it to me for $12, but now she can't even correct it.

When I was leaving the store, they were making new signs for 40% off games and 30% off "Social Gaming", but I couldn't bring myself to go back to the register and start asking about the bass and when the adjustments were going into effect (since the signs wern't finished yet), and after Jam Sessions scanning HIGHER than sticker price, I figured Id just go back this evening and deal with new people.

Harbison CC in Columbia sc still has a ok selection of Console games at 40% off, Prince of Persia, COD4 , Spidey was the newer better titles available and a few guitar heroes for PS3 and 360, I still at 40% have a tough time buying 59.99 games knowing patience will get me used clean copies at the local EBs for 30$ or less a pop during used sales.

Computer Games was still nicely populated with good titles. Computer hardware and LCD tv are finally getting Newegg (ish) prices

my haul today was

Perimeter: Emperor's Testament 5$
World in Conflict 17$
Hellgate London 7$
Saitek Eclipse II illuminated Keyboard 45 before tax was about .50 cent more than newegg.com

Not much CE/LEs left now.

Saw Madden 09 and Mortal Kombat Vs DC Comics CE that's about it. I am very surprised Mortal Kombat CE is still on the shelf! I would grabbed it at 30% off.

I paid $45 back on Black Friday!!!

Edit: Ummm, just referring to Xbox 360 version.

PS3 have a few Socom with headset left! And Fallout 3 CE

Nice to know the cc employee was telling me the truth about there % increase on thursday. bet you will hear about it on the radio and see it on tv starting friday if not today.

Also, if you get spammed with CC e-mails, it usually lets you know when the next nationwide slash is.

But yeah, these liquidators are probably gonna go all out this weekend with ads. You know they don't wanna go below 40%.

At 40%, I don't think any of the games are quite worth it yet, compaired to the sales we've seen, and will see (upcoming).

My NJ store hit 40% on games today. All of the copies of Resistance 2 are now gone. I actually investigated buying one of the kiosk lcd screens just as the vendor got there to claim it. She was looking at me like I was evil for even inquiring about buying it. For anyone interested, the kiosk itself (the shell/tower part) can be bought I was told but the system and screen belong to the vendor.

Does anyone have a recommendation for headphones that I may be able to pick up cheap (primarily for gaming purposes) at CC? I looked around but wasn't comfortable buying anything.

Went to the Madison, WI West CC over lunch. 25% off consoles, 40% off games, 30% of GH/RB stuff. They had a nice restock of Wii and 360 games, as well as a few more PSP and DS games since I last went a couple of days ago. They had multiple copies of several popular titles for Wii like SSBB and SMG. Plenty of copies of Fallout 3 for 360 and PS3. Even saw one copy of Fable II for 360, but I did not dig through the 360 games very hard. They had about 20 XBOX 360 Pro systems for $224.99 and about 50 of the 80-GB PS3's for $299.99. Almost zero accessories for XBOX 360 and PS3, just a couple of 360 play-n-charge kits and a bunch of PS3 remotes.

Picked up Wario Ware: Smooth Moves for Wii new for $10.18 and VF5 for PS3 for $11.99.

My closest location in Cincy had the 40% off games/accessories & 25% off consoles. Thanks to those who gave the heads-up on that.
They had quite a few 360 arcades & holiday bundles. PS3's are long gone. Called my brother to talk him into pulling the trigger on a 360, but he wanted to make sure for himself that he wouldn't get a better deal with Dell.
I picked up an extra 360 wireless controller for $29, CoD5 for $36, and "So I Married an Axe Murderer" (love that movie) on Blu-ray for $12-- some of CC's blu-rays are finally becoming decent deals with the 40% off.

Stopped at the Downers Grove, IL store this afternoon and here is the breakdown:

all games, dvd's, music, mp3 accessories = 40%
I think game accessories are 40% also but they don't have much except in the back and it's all ds/psp stuff so didn't even look back there.
Still a good amount of games but nothing really that special. ps3 looked like they had the most but didn't look further as I don't have one. Wii was the slimmest and nothing good at all unless you like high school musical, lol. they did have a bunch of animal crossing's though. ds looked like there were a good amount also but didn't look closely at that section.
Didn't see anything that great on xbox 360, a couple of regular edition fable II's and a couple of special edition halo 3's but that's about it. The rest was nothing to write home about.
Guitar Hero and Rock band game/accessory sets were not 30%. They had a ton of guitar hero world tours so maybe if they hit 50% I might bite.

No systems other then the ds's.

tv's = 25% for boxed tv's and 30% for display only models. I did notice the new stickers they put on the tv's said "this item will not be discounted further" (or something like that). HUH???!!!! So if they don't sell what happens to them??? shipped to new location??? given to liquidator???? whatever, nothing looked to appealing anyway.

they have a case with ds's (pink and black/red) and some mp3 players which has a 30% sign above the shelf so I'm assuming it's 30% for everything in that case but not sure. don't need either so didn't look further.

didn't really look at any other items but I'm sure they probably were bumped up to in %.

Went to the Arundel Mills CC in Hanover, MD last night and snagged a copy of Beautiful Katamari for $12.

Today I went to the one in Catonsville, MD and hid the last 2 copies of Chrono Trigger DS behind some Guitar Hero boxes (there were literally, like, 60 of them on the shelves). Most everything is gone -- a few decent PS2 games here and there, but they finally hit the 40% mark so stuff was going fast. Mostly just trailer trash moms and the like, looking at the back of Wii Music. You get the picture.

Has anyone been to any of the other CCs around Baltimore? Someone in this thread mentioned that the Bel Air and Wheaton stores were decently stocked, but I can't justify driving 40 minutes just to confirm. Still trying to find Left 4 Dead and Mirror's Edge at 40%.

To plasticbathmonki: No go on the MK VS DC for PS3. Both Circuit City stores in San Antonio were all but wiped clean of games (which were 40%). I saw a lot of NHL 09 and Fallout 3 though. I couldn't justify any purchases considering that to buy the same games used at GS with the 20% coupon + EDGE (or a B2G1 sale) would be about the same price. The only game I wanted was Mirror's Edge but the way Target has been putting that game on sale, I just know there's going to be a better deal on it than $36.99.

Still a lot of 1600 points cards available. The accessories were still marked at 30% off though. Once the percentage goes up to 40 or more it'll be worth it.

40% is nice but just not Cheap Ass enough.

I mean, it comes out to a 59.99 game for 36 basically.

Which is good dont get me wrong but is it OMG RUN!1!1! get it before its gone!1!!11....

...no.

For example, FC2 was 29.99 at BB a few weeks ago.

Unless you REALLY want a game and think that it wont be 36 or less anytime soon, then I'd wait.

Once they go under $30 then I'll bite on a couple, but at over $35...nah...not yet.

Has anyone found any DS3s in stock in SoCal with the new drops?

No DS3's in any of the Southern OC locations. None at Newport, Irvine, or HB. Did manage to get Banjo, Fable II CE, Okami, Rock Band V1 and the last 2 Wii points. I was trying to fin any L4D, but none were available. Not sure if I should go back for Mirrors Edge or COD WaW. Any opinions?
If anybody in S OC can find a copy of L4D, let me know.

Newport had at least 20 Fallout 3 (360) CE's, ~5 Saint's Row CE, and also had ~10 60GB HD expansion kits for the 360.

Thanks SD, I'll be heading down to the Encinitas location on my lunch break in about 30 minutes looking for 360 games, if anyone is interested in the availability of any games at this store, PM me.

Cool. Looking for Fable II CE and Eternal Sonata (PS3 or 360) if they have any. Much appreciated

hey jebnaut, happen to see if they had dead space for ps3 at either cc you stopped by?

I actually don't own a PS3, so that's the one section I didn't look at, unfortunately. Sorry! They did appear to have quite a few games left over, but I'm not sure if it's all bargain-bin crap or not.

Thanks for the info, but it wouldn't be much of a deal if I drove from Newport to Canoga Park. Especially with the traffic on the 101, I'd probably get there just before they close (permanently)

Hey jazz, how did Fashion Island's CC look overall? I've been stopping by there a coupla times a week and each time I'm impressed by how much general stuff they have and how relatively neat it is. Is it still that way, or has the last week taken its toll?

Well I think CC is offically dead for me.

No copy of Saints Row at the CC in Woodbridge (someone grabed the last one when I was there with a few other games)

Might try Springfield but dunno if they are at the 40% yet.

Games are 40% off at the Norwalk CT location as well. Just picked up Mass Effect for $12.71 after tax. Might go back again tomorrow, they had quite a few games left and I didn't even look in the cabinet. I saw a bunch of LE sets of Halo 3 behind the counter.

I almost bit on mass effect as well, but while I was at TRU picking up a Guitar Hero On Tour Bundle for $20, I saw Mass Effect for $9.98. And that wasn't even a sale price or anything.

Fashion still has a good amount of things available and everything is still very organized. It's mostly because it is out of everyones way and since many people here in Newport buy their items at retail. Suckers!

It's nice to be a frugal gamer in Newport Beach. ;)

I did a partial sweep of the mid-town NYC area and 86th st. in Brooklyn.

The 86th store is cleaned out, don't even try. I did pick up some 60-day WoW game cards for $19~ each though.

43rd and 5th store has a decent chunk of games left, as does the Union Square store. At least 7 Fallout 3 Collector's editions left in the Union Square store (behind customer service), 2 or 3 at 43rd and at Columbus Circle. I saw some Halo Collector's Edition behind the glass display and maybe 2-3 Saint's Row CE's as well. They have the Burning Crusade CE for $38ish (I think) and there were at least 6 left (back of the games section, by speakers). GTA4 CE was also there, but only 4 copies (I got one) for $36+tax.

NYC is completely drained of 360 game cards. The only good deals that I saw were the $9 prices on the PS2 eye toy and mic combos (Kinetic and High School Musical 2, respectively). The usual stuff like Quake Wars ($5~) and Sims 2 Deluxe ($4~) are there, as well as the Halflife 1 Anthology ($3~), Halflife 2 Episode Pack ($6~) and Portal ($5).

If you're interested in DVD's or CD's, head to the Union Square store, they're loaded up. Good luck!

Seekonk, MA CC is pretty cleaned out for games by now. It appears everything is 40% off, at least the stuff on the main shelves.

I grabbed a copy of No More Heroes for 12.6X including tax, there's a copy of Gears of War (1) 2-Disc edition that was roughly $17-18, a paperback Fallout 3 guide for about $12 that I passed on among other things.

There were some copies of DMC3 Greatest Hits, Final Fantasy Crisis Core, a Killzone among other things I considered. They have copies of Fallout 3 for 360/PS3, Resistance 2, SvR 09, and some other stuff 40% off of 59.99. Not a lot left.

Other thing is they had some Warhammer Online time cards that could be worth checking out, I didn't ask they price, they weren't marked at all(many things aren't).

Just got back from the Roseville, MN store. Video/PC games, accessories, and DVDs/CDs up to 40% off. Consoles only up to 25% off unfortunately. I assume its the same at other Twin Cities area stores as well.

The Roseville store has about 30 1600 MS point cards and 6ish WAR time cards left (WAR cards are in the very last aisle in the very back corner of the store). DVDs and CDs were still pretty full. Saw some Fallout 3 and Saints Row CEs as well. A ton of PSPs, a handful of Pro and Arcade 360s, and that's it for consoles.

I have to agree with an earlier poster in that the Roseville and Southdale CCs must be getting all the extra shipments in MN. I plan on checking out the Southdale and Minnetonka store after work tomorrow. The Southdale store had about 10 PS3s when I went last weekend (in addition to a ton of PSPs and a decent amount of 360s in the Pro and Arcade variety).

Went to three Circuit City stores in Florida: Sunrise, Pembroke Pines, and Aventura. If you're looking for a game console at one of those stores, don't bother.

Sunrise had plenty of Guitar Hero games w/ guitar and lots of Wii Fit Yoga Mats from some company no one's ever heard of. Selection was bare, but I did end up buying a TV stand at 50% off for $145. 40% off games of course and yet they expected me to buy for Guitar Hero 80's and World Tour PS2 games for $30 each? Yeah, right.

Hollywood had much less. If you need digital photo frames, go there. They had more of those than Guitar Hero packs.

Aventura had quite a lot left. They had Sony Walkman MP3 players at $61 and plenty of games, DVD's, and CD's. I would have checked prices but finding someone was a pain in the butt. You'd think they would have a scanner at places like Best Buy and Circuit City.

Confirming Burbank, CA CC at 40% of games (PC and Console) and 25% Consoles.

Picked up:

Fallout 3 Collector's Tin (PC): $42.00
Halo 3: Collector's Edition (pre-owned) $30.00
Enchanted Arms: $10.00

They def. got another shipment in of things, but still out of "Left 4 Dead" as far as I can tell.

Picked up the following at the Van Nuys, CA CC (40% games, 25% consoles):

Lost Odyssey - 17.99 (last copy, afaik)
Condemned: Criminal Origins PH - 7.78
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise - 17.99 (last copy, afaik)
Castelvania Order of Ecclesia - 17.99 (last copy, afaik)
Ninjatown - 17.99 (last copy, afaik)
Zach & Wiki - 10.19 (last copy, afaik)
Space Invaders Extreme DS - 5.98
Burnout Paradise 360 non-PH - 11.99
BlastWorks - 11.99 (last copy, afaik)

I checked pretty much everything, too, so those probably are the last copies.

Also, picked up a copy of Blue Dragon (9ish) and Devil May Cry 2 (9ish) from the Burbank, CA location last Friday.

They had a decent supply of 360 Pro Holiday Bundles left (224 plus tax), probably pick one up in a week or two if any left. Couldn't find any other consoles. Good amount of wireless 360 adapters.

Barely any PSP games. No points cards for anything.

Hi CAGers:

I was at the CC in Rego Park, NY. I picked up:
Fallout 3 CE for PS3 for $36. Last one, sorry!
PS3 Blu-ray Remote for $15.

I was happy. The only other thing I really wanted was R2 and a DS3, but oh well. Got Fallout at least.

There is 1 more Fallout 3 CE for 360, and a couple of Halo 3 CE. They are located in the middle of the CC on that island counter of their's. Just ask them.

Nothing else really good. And yes, the games are 40% off.

Anyone have any input for the CC in Whitestone? I'd like to try to grab a DS3 there if any left.

I had some errands to run today and hit the CC's I passed along the way.

All had games at 40% off.

East Brunswick, NJ = About a dozen PSP's left, they're in the endcap at the end of the video game isle.

Somerville/Bridgewater, NJ = About a dozen PS2's left, they're at the Customer Service desk.

Phillipsburg, NJ = No consoles but the largest selection of video games out of any of the ones I stopped at. Had many popular titles that had been cleaned out of other locations.

Easton, PA = Had several (20-30) Xbox 360 Pro's, they're at the Customer Service desk. The customer service desk is not well marked. Enter the store and make an immediate left and walk past the registers. At the very end is a small unmarked desk, this is the customer service desk. I picked up one for $224 + tax. The one I got was also one of the new chips.

All stores had an epic ton of Guitar Hero games for every console.

Hope this helps!

Went by Hawthorne, CA today.

Picked up bioshock for the 360, 40% off. Some decent ps3 and 360 games left (no dual shock 3). No more point cards for the 360. I saw maybe one network adapter.

As far as consoles, I only saw 360's, but a lot of them and all kinds. The prices showed 25% off, but they had written 30% off. I'm not sure which they were ringing up as. Given their stock, if console prices drop again, I may try and go sniff out a jasper arcade.

Just got back from the CC near Lincoln Center here in NYC. They are getting pretty bare. The game section was 40% off and was looking particularly scarce. The Wii and DS games are almost all gone, there was a good amount of PS3 titles, and the 360 games looked to be in OK stock as well. There were many great PC games to be had. I saw multiple copies of Crysis, Farcry 2, and the usual blizzard games. The only consoles I saw were a handful of 360's (Pro's, Elites, and Arcade) I walked out of there with Conan (360) and Socom Confrontation W/headset for less than 50 bucks. Pretty good score considering the headset alone is about 45.99.

Hoping to get Fallout 3 CE tomorrow. My CC was closed due to power outage most of the day, so they decided to just stay closed today.

I already sold my regular copy of Fallout for $35, so a few extra bucks for the bonus stuff is worth it to me.

I did find Rogue Galaxy (PS2) for $7.88 plus tax.

I'm waiting for a bigger discount on ps3 NHL 09, mirrors edge and resistance 2, the stores by me in Miami has like 10 copies each so it'll last to even 80 % off if it can reach it.

Anyone know how low games can go?

40% off games and 50% used games. Got Oblivion PS3 for $17 something. A few DVDs at 40% off too. The Fallout 3 CE was marked $69.95 MSRP, so still a bit too steep for this CAG, but they had a dozen of them. I hope they make it to next week.

Is it worth getting Mirror's Edge (PS3) and COD WaW(360) at 40% off? I think that Activision will most likely rerelease COD WaW with a gold edition that includes some sort of DLC.

If you guys find a CE of a game (Fable II, Fallout 3, etc...) get them to scan the UPC on the back of the game; told them "I want to see exactly how much this is with the discount". Since the liquidation has started, their POS system doesn't seem to differentiate between regular and collector's editions, so it should ring for the same price as the regular game ($59.99-whatever % off your store has).

I picked up Fallout 3 CE and Soul Caliber IV CE last week for about $42/ea., and just grabbed another Fallout 3 CE today for $35.xx. Not too shabby!

The CC on 44th and 5th in the city had one copy of R2 left at around 530 today. I picked up Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ for $12 there.

For all the folks waiting on 50% on console games, I don't know if good games will be there when hits 50%. For some this will be a 3-day weekend due to Presidents Day. I'm positive the PC games will last past the 50% discount, since majority of people don't want to deal with installing, patching, make sure you have the right drivers etc. Compared to consoles where you one just has to rip open the package and pop in the game disc. Anyway good luck on your deal hunting quests.

Found myself in Pueblo recently. Prices went from 20% off earlier this week to 40% off today. Still a HUGE selection. I nabbed Prince of Persia 360 and Kirby Super Star DS -- as I already snagged Gears 2 and Resistance 2 for 30% off in LA last week. Saw them both here, though, along with Farcry 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, etc.

They had several Guitar Hero bundles for $129 and Rockband bundles for less at my local Towson CC.

Moreno Valley, CA location, all small media (video games, cd's, dvd's) 40% off, most of the good stuff is gone. Tried to find Fable 2, but the only newer release games they had were Fallout 3, Soul Caliber, and Saints Row 2 (x360). Not much for PS3 either. Still quite a few PS3s at the new price of $300. Saw someone walk out with one as I arrived but no further interest while I was there. As a PS2 fan, I'm a little sad that I left without a PS3, but apparently $300 is still too much for the pleasure of making space next to my 360 for a PS3.

Killzone 2 reviews do look pretty good. If only there were a half-dozen exclusives I wanted as much...

It doesn't help that Fry's and Amazon are selling more and more HD-DVD titles at $5, making the PS3's Blu-ray less important to me when those titles are still $15-25.

Also: still a lot of 360 games and point cards; fewer PS3 games.

The CC on 44th and 5th in the city had one copy of R2 left at around 530 today. I picked up Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ for $12 there.

Oh sorry, I was referring to the R2 CE. But thanks for the tip! I will head over there during lunch tomorrow since I work around there.

I doubt there will be a DS3 for me as well.

And again CAGers, I cannot stress this enough. Ask them to ring the CE through if the sticker says msrp on it. My Fallout CE was marked 80, but asked him to scan just to make sure. Sure enough, it was 40% off of 60.

Good luck and happy hunting everyone. With this long weekend, I doubt many of the good games will make it past the weekend for deeper discounts.

At the Daly City CA CC...

Games are 40% off, Lady at register said there are no more 360 point cards

360: Several copies of Fallout 3, a lot of copies of H3 at $60 (ugh), few copies of Mirrors Edge, few copies Guitar Hero World Tour

About 5-6 60GB hard drive for $60 ( I wanted this but I don't download that much stuff online)

DS Games- Weak sauce, found a copy of Castvania Order of Ecclesia, hella copies of L of Z Phantom Hour Glass, and a lot of copies of those Imagine games

PS2 GH WT Bundles- $125

About 5-6 360 Pro Bundles 25% off and a couple arcade bundles at $160

I was thinking about getting GH WT but I think RB2 is better because there are more songs (any thoughts on this/ I dont really want to spend $140+ on the bundles...)

There were other games for 360, Ps3, DS, PSP, and Ps2; but I cant remember them all. Sorry!

Woooah. Never thought I'd find someone else who lived here on an internet forum.

How far back do you go? I've just turned 20, so I've been here all my life. Long enough to see the development of the outer areas of the city and the complete collapse of the inner city. Quick summary would be Day St. and Moreno Beach Dr. have turned into the bustling busy areas of the city, Heacock and Frederick have lost most of the major business, i.e CC relocating to Day. Oh, and the past 3 years have been full of nonstop road repair/alterations/whothehellknowswhat.

Went to the Berwyn, IL store last night and they have obviously restocked cause they had boatload of games (all systems), game accessories, movies and music (all 40%). Pretty much all new games for each system but I didn't see any left for dead, dead space or cod: waw (all 360 section). They moved all the games closer to the registers on the other side of the dvd's. Also they have a glass case in the back with some fallout 3 special editions for all systems (360, ps3 and pc), I'd say about 3 to four for each system. 1 special editoin of saints row 2 and also resistance 2 (though they might have had another 1 or 2 of r2). Then they had regular editions of mirrors edge, endwar, prince of persia (ps3 and xbox360) and mgs4.

If your looking for controllers for the 360 you better get there fast as they had a decent amount but I saw lots of people gobbling up those. They have a ton of LIVE points 1600 (which I picked up 4!!!!) and 1-month live subscriptions. Also for the 360 they had cabling, battery/charger packs and I think a cooler or 2. On the ps3 side there were a ton of controllers and cabling.

Didn't see too many guitar hero packs but didn't really look around the whole store as I was hyptnotized by the amount of games they had, LOL but what they had was 30% off.

Didn't see any games systems either but I wasn't really looking for them either.

I think this store might be around till the end as they totally stocked up from last weekend (was barely anything but the game accessories last time) and it's in a high traffic area but I have a feeling if you want anything decent (new) you should probably hit it up this weekend, especially for the special edition games. It was REALLY packed yesterday and I'm sure the weekend is just going to bring even more people.

Also if anyone has seen a copy of mk vs dc for the xbox 360 in any of the chicagoland store let me know, that's currently my "white whale"!!!!!!! Thanks and hope this helps.

Yeah, I think I saw SMG at hawthorne yesterday. I looked, and that was like the only wii game worth getting (unless you want animal crossing).

I did see chrono trigger DS, but 40% off of 40 bucks is still too much for me.

edit: I also saw a lot of prince of persia for 360. If it makes it to 50% or more off, I may be inclined to buy it.

Ah Well I only lived there as a little kid. I'm 19 now, lived there only the first 5 years. My dad worked on the base there. I remember, although very faintly, that the area we were in wasn't very good. As far as construction, I can relate to that!

I saw one copy of Chrono Trigger DS at the Madison West CC as well, and thought the exact same thing. It just didn't seem like THE deal. I still may go back to look for it next week if games go to 50% off as it's kinda high on my list.

I have to agree, though I do understand why some would say we were crazy for not biting at 40% off, so, please, no flames. If it's still at my local CC when it hits 50% (there was a copy there when i last checked), I'm going to get it. $19.99 is the right price point for me. $23.99 is close, but it feels like a defeat. I'd rather take my chances.... I also have my eye on Rock Band 2 (game only) for Wii. They have about 6 or 7 copies. At 50% off I'll bite. I don't have any Wii instruments. I'm hoping my PS2 RB1 drums will work with it. I've never been able to get any info positive or negative on whether or not it would work. No one seems to have tried cross-platform even though it's all USB. I'd love to find out, and if it doesn't work, well then I'll see about building a piecemeal Wii set on the cheap, but I'm not willing to take my chances for more then $24.99, so again I'm waiting for 50% off. Do we have an ETA on that?

Well I just struck out. My CC only has a few Saints Row 2 CE and a ton of GTA4 SE :360: for both, but no Fallout 3 SE. There was a fallout 3 CE for the PC though.

I went into the Temecula CA. store last night and the place was cleaned out; all the newer games were long gone.

Or so I thought.

I picked up Golden Axe Beast Rider for 23.99 and as I was paying I see hundreds of games on a kiosk in the back. I ask the employee if they are for sale and he tells me yes so I picked up Fallout 3 for 35.99

I don't know why they had all of those premium games back there but my best guess is that they are pulling them for the weekend. Regardless, they will sell them and they seemed to have most of the newer stuff, including Left 4 Dead, Saint's Row 2, and more.

Also, those waiting for 50% take heed: after this weekend, there won't be much left.

Good luck.

Good score at CC today. I guess they got restocked:

:360: Fallout CE - $35
:360: Saints Row 2 CE - $35
:ds: Kirby Superstar Ultra - $17
:360: Controller and 20 GB HD - $20 (Wow)

Might go back and see if there is anything else worth checking out but I was excited about the CEs might not want the SR2 one since its not a regular case and would like that.

No chance those titles will last past this markdown or this weekend in fact.

NHL 09 in Miami, FL will get past this weekend NO ONE LIKES HOCKEY. Not one has been sold in the CC by me. Resistance has had 2 copies sold, and Mirrors Edge is rare, but I'm not stressing it. If 30 copies of NHL 09 or 30 copies of resistance 2 get sold I'd be very very shocked.
With the universal price drop on NHL 09, I can afford to let it try to slide, or pay a 3 dollar penalty later.

Harrisonburg, VA CC is 40% for all games and blurays/dvd's. Many guitar hero and rock band bundles, decent number of collectors edition's for fallout, gears 2, saints row 2. I may see if i can get the resistance 2 CE if possible, maybe the fallout 3 guide. No accessories for any systems though, or if they have them they're keeping them stashed away

I just went to the Galleria area CC in Houston this morning, and was actually pretty surprised at how much they had. A pretty good selection and stock of PC games (lots of Gears of War, Crysis, WoW and expansions, STALKER, etc.) at 40% off.

The 360 games were a bit more picked through, though a few high profile titles were still there (GTAIV, Viva Piņata, Mirrors Edge, Fallout 3 -- no Gears of War 2). Tons of Rock Band and Guitar Hero games/accessories were all over the store.

I didn't look too closely, but there weren't too many PS3 games.

As for actual consoles, there was a sign clearly stating that there were no PS3s or Wiis left, but they had a huge stack of 360 pros behind the checkout counter for 25% off.

PM me if you have more questions.

I'm going to check my local store in Pensacola, FL again today. Went on Wednesday, and games were still 30% off...but "social" games like Rock Band/Guitar Hero were all still just 20% off. I'm hoping to snag one of the guitar bundled versions of GH at a decent discount. $80 is still too rich for my blood...and apparently everybody else's as they have a full aisle of them.

anyone have any "dealers", (local MnP video game store owners) clean out a CC of systems? One of the workers told me some guy from some local game store came in and bought up all the PSPs. Gotta love when that happens.

I picked up some stuff today, mainly because of the 40%. I think for most people, it's the sweet spot for pricing, as indicated by CC being busier than I've seen it all clearance this afternoon.

Oh, and the important thing there is that it wasn't just people browing... they were buying. Important difference from the past few weeks.

Anyway, I have to echo the statements that yeah, maybe 40% isn't awesome, but I'd be shocked if there was much of quality left after the weekend, game-wise. Stuff is going to really start moving now, so if you *really* want it, you might want to think about biting now.

Buying Chrono Trigger at 40% off will not make it be 50% off no matter how hard I try. I'll wait until 50% off. If it's gone, it's gone. Oh well. I won't die.

Just at CC in Wilkes Barre Pa...

40 percent off games.... Really picked out though... About a 3 foot section for each gaming system... They brought all the games from the back of the store up front...whole bunch of GH stand alone institments and bundles, and a few Rock Band things (portable drum kit , bass replica, guitar, and one stage kit) but that's it... Swung by the 75 & Parker CC in Plano TX

Systems are 25%, several elites and arcades left and one PSP left.

Games and accessories are 40%, nothing great left but there are a handful of SE / CE games in a glass case. Saints Row 2, some Madden game, Halo 3 and one Fallout 3 CE.
Most games have been picked clean except for the 360 section which has almost as many games as PS2/3,Wii and DS put together.

PS3 Accessories left are mostly component cables and remote controls, no DS3s. No Wii accessories other than Wiimote jackets, and just 3rd party accessories like stylus and chargers for the DS. For the 360 there are a couple 1 mo live cards, a handful of wireless adapters and HDMI cables and that's pretty much it.

Went to the Addison, TX store... they had a fairly good selection, but not the stuff I wanted most. Got Motorstorm 2 ($35), Hellboy (ps3, $10) and Bully (360, $17).

They had RB 2 wireless drums... but the "Discount" price... is 69.99. Which is freakin' retail! They had lots of World Tour bundles for all systems, but only 30% off.

40% here in the Agusta ME. store and it seems to be the magic number. I showed up 15 min after the store opened and there were alot of people there. I went stright to the video game isle and the wife went off to find a camera.there was lots to choose from. seemed to be twice as many 360 games then ps3.but still plenty to choose from for now. not sure what will be left after this 3 day weekend and with payday next thursday we had only 1 option left. CHARGE IT so how many games I got would be determined by if the wife found a camera or not. the bad news is she found 1 the good news is I was able to get 4 ps3 games. will go back payday to see if theres anything left.

Mercenaries 2 ---$17.99 <--- was mislabled $39.99 rang up as$29.99

Army of Two-----$17.99

Spiderman 3-----$17.99

Uncharted-------$35.99 <---was thinking it was mislabeled but it was not

I know the public at large is not reading any of this, but I'm sure the same effect is taking place... where everyone starts going "Well 40% is right before 50%, and everyone will be buying at 50% because that is just such a great deal right? I'm going to be smart and buy at 40%".

We've already established that if everyone would wait, we'd get everything at 90%.

I admit attempting to predict when things will go out of stock is akin to picking stocks, but in this case there's a bit more predictability involved. If at least here, most people would stop writing "better head out cause everyone's buying right now", I think we'd all be a little better off.

The prices games are going for at the moment will be regular market value in a couple months... so if you "lose" out on a buy... you're not losing much of anything... if you wait and nab something in a couple weeks that will not go for $15 - $10 - $1.50 ever again... then that's a deal. I'm not trying to dissuade you guys from missing out on your $35 games, I just think, that in the least it's a bit more fun to gamble and wait.

That said, I'm only looking at PC items. I'm assuming that most PC games will make it past 50%... if not well beyond that. Taking into account what I saw at the CompUSA GOoB sales.

Just got back from that Pensacola, FL store. 40% games/30% social games as expected. I briefly thought about grabbing the GH guitar bundle, but it doesn't look like they've sold a single one, yet. Still 20-30 in the aisle. I'll wait longer. If I miss out, I miss out.

Went to my store. They had some PS3, 360, and a bunch of PC games.

They were all crap or just as expensive as you can get them anywhere else. Condemned 2, Silent Hill 5, Ninja Gaiden 2, Devil May Cry 4, etc.

Everything else was extraordinarily overpriced, even after 40% was taken off. A stick of 2GB DDR2 laptop ram was $60! Ridiculous.

I went to the Atlantic Terminal one. PS2 controllers were $18, and for me it wasn't worth it considering I could get it cheaper elsewhere. It was a huge mess, and even uglier than Target. I didn't buy anything because I didn't see anything I really wanted. In a way I'm sort of glad CC is dead.

Being able to pick up newer titles for 35.99 is a pretty damn good deal. Of course if you wait a few months you can catch some of these games at a similar price...maybe. Regardless, at 40 percent off, most of these games will be gone by the end of the weekend and those of us who've already nabbed our deals are just trying to give the rest of you a heads up.

Considering that people were swarming CC for 10% off, I think it's safe to assume the inventory will be depleted very soon. Your hopes of 90% off, while a wonderful dream, just isn't very realistic. You might see a few crumbs priced that low right before the doors swing shut forever but if that actually happens, whatever left will be paltry and probably not worth it.

Alright, so this thread has grown a bit since I posted last...

Can anyone update on the situation in Nothern VA? I'm looking to pickup another PSP, what's the general reduction on consoles?

I'm not sure what the discount is on systems, but i went to the CC in McLean VA last night and they only had games left. Ton of 360 and DS and a handful of PS3 all at 40% off. Not sure what was available for XBOX, but for PS3 I did see copies of Motorstorm Pacific, Saints Row 2, and DMC 4. I went to to the Fairfax VA location last week and only saw a single PS2 on the shelves.

This! I've never understood why people just can't wait. I haven't even bothered to step foot inside a CC yet. I probably won't until I hear about 75% off or better. I know there won't be shit left, but if that's the case then so be it. There's nothing there that I absolutely need to begin with, so I'm not losing out anyways. If the general public had some self control. Going Out of business sales would actually be worthwhile instead of just 20-30% off which you can get many times by shopping around and being cheap/frugal. Oh well.

Just stopped by two CC in the Los Angeles area, and the
pre-owned games I got price checked rang up at the price
listed on the package, without any discount at all. When
I asked what happened to the 40% discount on all used

have they ever sold used or pre-owned games. I suggest
buyers price check all pre-owned games prior to buying.

The one in Prattville, AL was jerkin me around for battery prices by a couple of bucks per pack. Told em they could keep it.

Halo 3 for 59.99 minus 40% is what you'll find the most of.

Everything else that was labeled on sale was marked up 10-25 bucks and THEN marked down 40% so don't expect a sale in any way. CoD 4 was listed at 20 bucks before the announcement of closing, but they jacked it back up to 59.99 minus 40% thinking the more dense people would buy into the hype of a sale.

Laptops aren't worth it at 10% off at current. 25% at least would be a decent cut. Webcams and PC accessories as well as blank media is a buy, but after the way they dicked around with me on batteries, I won't be back. They can keep their crap.

I was at the CC in Portland Oregon on 82nd ave a few days ago, and the newest 360/PS3 games were picked clean. I think one of the four GameStops in the area must've come through and nabbed everything they had left for systems and new releases, or they sent it out to a different store, because I'd been checking every few days and between Saturday and Tuesday they dumped a whole lot of stuff.

Does anyone know CCs base price on Infiinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant for 360. Both copies of each I saw had no tag and the line was huge to get a price check on things. I figure they are still $59.99 BASE as CC probably never went to the lower MSRP but thought I would see if anyone had checked.

I did pick up the following today ..

Okami Wii - $12
Blast Works Wii $12
Lost Planet Colonies Edition 360 $12

Animal Crossing City Folk Wii  $30 (The mistake of taking my wife with me shopping)
Metroid Prime 3 - $24 (Could have waited for lower but I have been wanting to play for quite a while now)

Could not find a copy of Disgaea 3 (PS3) or Tales of Symphonia (Wii) anywhere.
