Anyone know how much Soul Calibur for PS3 is? It was tagged 60, but everywhere else has it for 50. If its 50 I'll go back and get it. I would call but the stores number was disconnected or changed.

Everything else that was labeled on sale was marked up 10-25 bucks and THEN marked down 40% so don't expect a sale in any way. CoD 4 was listed at 20 bucks before the announcement of closing, but they jacked it back up to 59.99 minus 40% thinking the more dense people would buy into the hype of a sale.

No, the GOTY edition of COD4 was always $59.99 and I'm willing to bet that was the one you saw. Only the regular edition of COD4 was clearanced to $19.96 (360) and $39.96 (PS3).

Has anyone been to the Exton, PA (main street station) store? I am planning on heading there after work tonight.

Let me know if there's anything decent left. I was thinking about checking that out this weekend.

I'm confused. 30-40% off $60 is still better than $50 straight up anywhere else.

Finally bite in for the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter

Got one from CC in Mesquite,Texas. $60.00 bucks + Tax

I could not find one at the video games section, ask one of the cashier girls and got me one from the back of the store.

Also need to report that in front of me a guy just paid $236.00 for an Xbox 360 Elite this after tax.

I was in the local Circuit City today. The games are all 40% off, but as expected, all of them were priced at full retail price. Their stock was getting thin, but they had a ton of some of the major releases. Saw Fallout 3 (PS3), Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360), Fable II (Xbox 360). If you're looking for a new release, you may find some good deals for $36.

I ended up getting Wii Music ($30), Pokemon Diamond ($21), the new Pokemon Ranger game ($18), and an XBox 360 controller ($30).

Pokemon games never seem to drop in price. Wii Music at $30 is a decent deal for the kiddies. A $30 controller is a few bucks cheaper than Amazon's price ($37), and I needed one.

Care to explain? You sure it was an elite and not a pro? Assuming a 8% tax rate, that's like 45% off.

Just at CC in Wilkes Barre Pa...

40 percent off games.... Really picked out though... About a 3 foot section for each gaming system... They brought all the games from the back of the store up front...whole bunch of GH stand alone institments and bundles, and a few Rock Band things (portable drum kit , bass replica, guitar, and one stage kit) but that's it... If you're looking for games, save your gas...

Bummer ... leave it to W-B to have nothing... thanks for getting back to me tho .. good to know theres someone else from the area here.

It would be $39 after tax at 60. $32 at 50. Considering that a while back I almost got it for $20 at Radio Shack. I'm not wanting to take a $19 hit. I could for the $32 though.

i haven't taken the time to look through this thread yet but i stopped by the fort collins store yesterday and they had tons of copies of warhammer online, WoW, and cod4. 30 percent off, and today they are 50 percent off, at least at the cheyenne location.
some stores are still very well stocked; others have virtually nothing. good luck! cod4 for 30 bucks was a nice find.
note: i only really looked at pc games but noticed it was 50 percent off all games today, the 13th.

Albany, NY store is 40% off all games and accesories, but no controlers left... lots of guitar hero stuff at 30% off. Consoles @ 25% off (lots of arcade and 60 Gig pros with 2 free game).

Almost bought a 46" TV on impulse when i found Sont KDL46V4100s for $1019, but they were missmarked and they wouldn't give me the price. $1274 was too much, so I got a Samsung LN46A630 from Amazon Warehouse for $1210 plus $46 shipping and no tax. Hope i get an S panel and no problems, but a good return policy... just in case. Beats CC's right now!

Hialeah, FL almost completely cleaned out of console games, although there are still a decent amount of DS and PSP games. Managed to pick up Chrono Trigger ($23.99) and the last copy of Castlevania Order of Ecclesia ($17.99). Not too shabby.

Checked Van Nuys today, finally.. didn't see any spectacular deals. Was all set to buy a 360 Arcade (have an extra 20GB HD left over from the Circuit City $79 clearance on 120gb drives a couple months ago! ;) ) but every single one was NOT a Jasper... you could tell others had been picking through them. I saw a Pro which MIGHT have been a Jasper but I was having trouble seeing the Amp listing on the back so didn't buy.

Consoles were 30% (but only saw Arcade/Pro 360s), games were 40%, Bluray was 40%, so pretty much what everyone is posting. They did have about 1,000 spindles of Nexxtech DVD-R/+Rs, I have never seen so many blank crappy DVDs in my life, for $17.99 for 50 which is more than you can pay for GOOD discs that go on sale regularly! (like Verbatim)

I went to check out CC in West Covina on Barranca Street. Just two days ago they had about 20 dualshock 3 left at 30% off, but today when i went there were only 8 left and it was 40% off. I bought for $33.

There were still a few 360 controllers.

For games on PS3, there was plenty of copies of Resistance 2, Saint's Row 2, Soulcalibur IV and Fallout 3, and a few copies of Motorstorm Pacific Rift and Prince of Persia.

For 360 games, I saw a bunch of Fable 2 and Prince of Persia, and a few copies of Gears of War 2.

Every game was 40% off

Someone remind me about how to determine which ones are jasper systems. Thank you.

Without opening up the box, there should be a small opening on the bottom where you can see the power supply. 12.1 amps is a jasper. Also, on the sticker with the barcode, the lot number should be 0843x or higher and the team is FDOU.

This! I've never understood why people just can't wait. I haven't even bothered to step foot inside a CC yet. I probably won't until I hear about 75% off or better. I know there won't be shit left, but if that's the case then so be it. There's nothing there that I absolutely need to begin with, so I'm not losing out anyways. If the general public had some self control. Going Out of business sales would actually be worthwhile instead of just 20-30% off which you can get many times by shopping around and being cheap/frugal. Oh well.

But...what if people actually want game X for 35.99, which as I've stated previously is a damn good deal?

They should wait until "there won't be shit left" in hopes that one day, everybody will wait and prices will go down faster, making future sales "worthwhile"?

If there's nothing at CC that you want at these current prices, that's understandable, but why denounce others for taking advantage of some damn fine deals? At 10% you might have a point but a 40% discount is certainly worth it for a new game.

I'm not trying to pick a fight but I really don't see the logic here. Liquidations are the equivalent of a rotting carcass: several different strata of organisms feast on the body until it's bleached bone.

Are all CC phones disabled? I got into the automated system (does that mean the store is open?) but no one picked up.

Reason I'm asking is it's a 2 hour round trip to the nearest CC and I don't want to go if it's gone.

Was able to find a L4D in Tustin (marketplace). I asked the cashier if they had some hidden on the shelves behind the counter. He was very helpful by checking all the games on the shelf and then he went to check the back and found the last copy. Was also able to get a couple of Wonder Pets and Yo Gabba Gabba DVD's for my little one. If anyone in the Tustin area is looking for any Blu-Ray's, check the glass case in the video game section. Someone has been hiding a good selection of BRD's behind the games.

Hicksville NY store: PS2s are gone. Someone came buy and bought their entire remaining stock. (They said they had ~20 this morning.)
Westbury NY store: A few PS2s and X360s on the CS shelf at 25% off. (I got one of the PS2s.)

I also went to Whitestone and Valley Stream NY stores. Two of these stores had copies of Chrono Trigger DS left. I don't remember specifically which two though but it wasn't Whitestone. Whitestone was almost cleaned out of DS and PSP.

Negative, but there might be some in the warehouse that employees are holding. If I thought they would have had any, I would have asked. I thought all XBLM cards disappeared at 30%, I personally purchased 8 over the course of two weeks at the HB CC.

The only thing that I saw on the hooks towards the left was a 1 month XBL card and on the right side were the remaining amount of memory cards (MSPD, SD, & CF). They did have a few 2GB SD memory cards specifically for the Wii, though they can be used on any SD compatible device.

Just got back from the CC in Tukwila, WA. Video games and DVD's were 40% off. There were absolutely NO Xbox 360 accessories left, and only those cheap remotes for the PS3. Rock Band accessories I think were 30% off. They had a ridiculous amount of Guitar Hero World Tour band kits and guitar+game bundles. The guitar+game bundles were 30% off, not sure about the band kits. Strategy guides were 50% off. Anyways, here's a list of some of the games (games only) and such I still saw (# of copies I could find are in parentheses):

Xbox 360:
All-Pro Football 2K8 (~8)
American Idol Karaoke (1)
Call of Duty 3 (5)
Condemned (1)
Condemned 2 (2)
Dark Sector (1)
Devil May Cry 4 SE (~5)
Devil May Cry 4 CE (~2)
Far Cry 2 (at least 3)
Gears of War 2 (~12+)
Grand Theft Auto 4 (~5)
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (~8+)
Guitar Hero World Tour (~3)
Halo 3 Limited Edition (6)
Hour of Victory (1)
Just Cause (3)
Kung Fu Panda (1)
Lego Indiana Jones (~4)
Lost Odyssey (1)
Madden 08 (~6)
Madden NFL 09 Collector's Edition (1)
Mercenaries 2 (~3)
NFL Tour (3)
Overlord (3)
Prince of Persia (~12+)
Project Gotham Racing 4 (1)
Saints Row (1)
Saints Row 2 CE (2)
Shadowrun (~4)
Silent Hill: Homecoming (~4)
Soldier of Fortune (1)
Soul Calibur IV (~5)
Stranglehold (4)
TNA Impact (1)
Tom Clancy's EndWar (~4)
Tomb Raider Underworld (1)
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (~3)
Top Spin 3 (3)
Unreal Tournament 3 (~6)
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise (1)
WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2009 (at least 3)

PS3:
Battlefield Bad Company (~4)
Devil May Cry 4 (pre-owned ~2)
Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit (1)
Far Cry 2 (~3)
Haze (1)
Fallout 3 (~4)
Guitar Hero World Tour (~3)
Resistance 2 (~12+)
Skate (1)
Warhawk w/ headset (3)

For the Xbox 360, those are about all the one's that were there. Couldn't really remember as many of the PS3 titles. As for strategy guides, they had a small selection left. Ones I remember: Fallout 3 CE (3), Metal Gear Solid 4 (1), Dead Space (2). There were more, just can't remember. I talked to one of the employees and she said they weren't expecting anymore shipments of stuff. So now might be a good time to get what you want. =/

Well, for starters it's only about $12.00 after the 40% discount. It got really great reviews, and it's different than a lot of the shovelware that has graced the DS recently (e.g. My little pony #2003, etc.) Think Little Red Riding hood on steroids destroying zombies (shooting at them that is...)

Got back from the Glen Burnie, MD CC and man, it was pretty depressing. Half of the store had been roped off and they literally threw the remaining merchandise in 3-4 aisles near the front of the store. The only 360 game I saw was Mass Effect. The rest was just shovelware and battered game guides. Please avoid!

However, the Catonsville store is being restocked daily. I'm going to check again tomorrow.

Does anyone know CCs base price on Infiinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant for 360. Both copies of each I saw had no tag and the line was huge to get a price check on things. I figure they are still $59.99 BASE as CC probably never went to the lower MSRP but thought I would see if anyone had checked.

They both rang up for $35.99 at the CC in Wheaton, MD. So it's 40% off $59.99.

Up behind the counter, they had ~20 360 Elites for $299.99 each and ~5 regular 360s for $224.99 (both are 25% off). There were also 3 pink DS Lites, no price signs. Didn't see any other consoles. Still pretty well stocked with games. Surprised by the number of copies of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl there.

Tysons Corner / McLean, VA still has a decent selection of 360 and PS2 games. PS3 games are drying up, DS selection seemed so-so (though there are a couple copies of Chrono Trigger tucked away in the back on the lower shelf, right next to the GBA video stuff).

Speaking of the West Covina, CA store, I also went there today around 11:30AM, but when I checked, they only had 2 DS3s left. Maybe they restocked by the time you went there?

Any way, I picked up PS3 Fallout 3 CE for $36 (had another PS3 version and 2 PC versions left) and I also managed to pick up Folklore for $12 :3

I think that will be my last trip there.

Went to mine in texas and the place was picked clean. There were hardly any games; a lot of Shadowrun and VF5s though. And the stuff that was left was still overpriced. A 20 dollar wireless usb adapter I saw on Amazon was ringing up as 50+. Pretty sure that's the last time I go check out the store.

Just came back from Burbank, CA picked up:

Little Red Riding Hood Zombie BBQ - 11.99
Devil May Cry 4 CE (360) - 23.99

Not the best deal on the latter (Amazon is 29.99) but the copy is clean/dent free.

Like another CAGer said on the previous page, Burbank has a number of PSPs and both Elite and Arcade 360s.

Also saw a GTA IV SE 360 edition going for $35, if anyone is still looking for it. There were also Saints Row 2 SEs for both systems.

Dang for $36, that's a good deal. I got the regular edition of Fallout 3 for $40 at Target when it was on sale.
And Folklore was only $12? Dang I would have got it if I had known it was that cheap.

Picked up a Fallout 3 CE, Overlord, and The last Resistance 2 at the Henrietta store. Why are the GH and RB stuff 30% off instead of 40%? It should all be the same. I wouldn't mind picking up a full GHWT bundle for 40% off since I never was able to get the drums. There are a few left, but Im not sure they will make it to 40 or 50% off. There are a ton of guitar bundles left though. I just wish the PS3, Wii, and DS sections were as full as the 360 games section.

The huge increase in cost due to peripherals I suppose. 40% off $190 is pretty close to $100, as opposed to $24 off a $60 game...that's a pretty huge difference. Same reason I suppose that they have systems for 25% off, as I think many would drool at the idea of a $78 DS Lite or a $280 PS3.

I am interested in seeing if any CC near me has any PSPs. I'm tempted to look for a PSP, as getting one for close to $100 seems decent. I have every system except that one, and it has a few games I'm pretty interested in playing.

I work next to the CC in Sunnyvale, CA. I usually drop by there every day after work to check out what they have. They have quite a few 360 games left. I managed to get a copy of Gears of War for 18 bucks, which isn't too bad. All 360 accessories have been gone for about two weeks. They still have some arcade 360 for $150. No more Wiis (Some asian dude bought the last 15 of them) or PS3s. As far as PS3 games go they are pretty picked through.

Yes they both are especially if you can find the CE. They don't appear to be dropping in price in the near future. Fallout sold like crazy and Resistance is a first party sony title and those hardly ever drop. They both had good reviews and they are quality titles worth more than the $36 you'll pay for them. If there are a lot of them left at your location you might wait until 50%. Just know that you could lose out on getting two high tiered games for a great price.

I was at the CC in Pasadena, and I happened upon the best named DS game I've ever seen. Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ, and I picked it up for 11 bucks. They also had Pokemon Pearl for 20.

They still had a decent collection of 360 games when I was there (Fable II, Gears II, Farcry II and quite a few other things) and a fair amount of PS3 games, I was hoping to find a copy of Mirror's Edge but alas it was not in the cards for me.

I hit up the CC on in Brookfield, WI (the one close to Flanner's) last night - they had 40% off console and PC games. Had a pretty decent haul, too:

:pc: Crysis Warhead @ $18 (had a few copies left)
:pc: Farcry 2 @ $30 (last one)
:ps2: Shadow of the Colossus @ $12 (last one)
:psp: GTA: Liberty City Stories @ $12 (few copies left)
:psp: GTA: Vice City Stories @ $12 (few copies left)
:psp: Killzone Liberation @ $12 (last one)
:ds: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass @ $21 (few copies left)

Also saw a bunch of copies of Crysis, Sims 2, and Guitar Hero III. Didn't see any PS3s, but they did have a lot of Xbox 360 Pros. Checked out the PS3 games - they had a pretty full selection of modern games (saw Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia, and Resistance 2 - they had more, but I'm drawing a blank to what they were). They had a decent selection of PSP games, but I don't recall anything really standing out in the PS2 section.

Also, the cashier said that store is going to be closing come March (apparently some people here are reporting their CCs will be closing in the next few days).

The cashier also knew me (I'm guessing from high school). Too bad I had no idea who she was (nor did my good friend from high school who was also with me). Well, it could be worse - I'm planning on going to the 76th street one today, where some of the employees there I know from high school. Except I don't actually want to talk to them :P

The same HD DVR box was in the Lexington Ky store for $70 and I picked it up (had some reward points to use). Looked this weekend and they said "they will not activate them if you buy them". I had NO problem getting my set activated. If anyone spots any Directv DVR's or HD DVR's in the Lex-Lou-Cincy area, Please let me know. I'm within an hour-ish of all of these.

As for games, They had slim Wii games and a few PS3/360 gamess and a few PS3 consoles and several pro/arcade 360's at 25%. I think the sign was 40% off DVD's and the same or 30% off games. They had 2 Fallout 3 CE's but no good acc's for any systems. I asked about a PSP core and they price checked it @ $127.

Dropped in to St. Matt's in Louisville on Tuesday and they had a ton of 360/PS3 games and all but Wii consoles. 30% off games when I was there.

360

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - $24
Hellboy: The Science of Evil $18
Conan $8
S.K.A.T.E. $18
Assasins Creed (Non-PH) $18

Wii

Sam and Max: Season One $18
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon $18
Boom Blox $24

I have spent way more overall than I intended; however I now have every game that I wanted aside from the Wii Tales game. No CC in a 30 mile radius had a copy. I'm happy with what I found between my last two trips though so it all works out in the end.

Don't bother with the Fort Union store. Very picked over.

Fort Collins' Circuit City doesn't have too much left in terms of games. All of the point/xbox live cards are long gone now that games are 40% off. There're still quite a bit of WoW expansions (no time cards), WAR CE's, and about 20 WAR time cards.

Went in for Virtua Tennis 3 for PS3 ($11.87), WAR 60 day time card ($18), and CoD4 GOTY for PC ($30). I might return for a copy of Diablo 2 for $12 since I still don't own it.

Went to the Oxnard store, smelled like piss and b.o. Not to mention horribly picked over. Went to van nuys and canoga stores. Both had jasper 360s left, and tons of games. I saw world at war, tons of resistence 2 and fallout 3 at the canoga one, farcry 2, fable 2, gears 2... no left 4 dead at any store, also never found fifa 09.

Oh and Conan x360 says 19.99, it rang up under $8.

Bought two 360s (gonna sell my old one on craigslist and one for a friend).
Fallout 3 x360, resistence 2, conan

When did you go to Van Nuys? I didn't see a single Jasper when there yesterday afternoon, and I looked at every single unit through the window in the box and they were all 14.2A.

Best "deals" I saw were 2 different laptops, with big "LAST ONE! AS IS!" signs, selling for $800+, both which had at least 10 keys pried off the keyboard and other obvious physical damage. Liquidators are scum.

Pembroke has a moderate selection. I doubt there will be anything good left next week.

Coconut Creek was demolished already.

Fort Lauderdale on US1 still has a decent selection.

Aventura still has a great selection as of this morning when I left. Almost all of the newest games still in heavy stock.

Yeah I was at the West Jordan store this morning. Absolutely nothing worthwhile there any more. I also was hoping for Fallout 3 but no go on either PC or Xbox.

They still have a million Guitar Hero 3's and guitars but only at 20% off. Not even close to the TRU prices this weekend.

Also wanted some headphones but they have a bad selection and only 25% off. I'm thinking that most of the good stuff got shipped out from UT to other states.

I went back to the Belden Village Canton, OH store today.

They had a good selection of PC and 360 games still. Plenty of newer titles for 360 and PC such as Quantum of Solace, Fallout 3, and Prince of Persia.

I ended up just getting the iHome Zune Alarm Clock since it was $25 cheaper than Amazon. The only hitch is that it doesn't have the AM antenna, but I'm more interested in FM anyways. It works fine too for being a display unit.(I tested it in store with my Zune before buying it)

Oh, they had a bunch of copies of Conan for 360 marked at 12.96

As of yesterday they still had a couple copies in the glass case in the middle of the game section. However, I just went back today to pick up one of the last two Saints Row 2 PS3 CE's ($38.xx after tax, sweet deal) and all the games had been removed from the glass case so dunno if those Fallout 3's survived.

Haven't been to any other CC's in the area lately either, and I think after today I'm pretty much done with CC anyway.

I just went to my local CC and man did they have shit load of games left for 40% off. I was thinking of picking up Star Ocean: First departure but then I looked at the price and it was selling for $39.99 plus the 40% I would be getting the game for 25 something taxes included. Not much of a difference between buying online and buying it right there at the store. I will consider picking up some games once it reaches 50%.

Just got Fallout special edition PS3 + Fable2 + Spiderman Web of Shadows + Good night and good luck for $120. I figure this is a good deal, considering this would be how much 2 new games would usually be.

I picked up Web of Shadows on clearance at Target, 50% off making it 29.98!

The Culver City, CA store still had a ton of games yesterday. There were a lot behind the register. For the Wii, I saw one copy each of Twilight Princess and Sonic Unleashed, 3 copies of Okami and 2 copies each of the Rock Band: Track Pack Vol 1 and Track Pack Vol 2 behind the glass. There were copies of Animal Crossing: City Folk all over the store. I saw a lone copy of both Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart DS by the checkout register. Nothing caught my eye in the DS section but I saw a copy of Call of Duty: World at War. Oh yeah, there was a copy of Mario 64 DS in a plastic thing hidden between a kiddie game and a Plies CD. The PSP section was almost wiped clean but I did see a copy of Star Ocean: First Departure there. I didn't get a good look at all the games behind the register so fellow CAGs might want to check there first. There were still several 360's there.

I couldn't find No More Heroes (my main reason for going) but I ended up ith the last copy of de Blob behind the case (there were still around 4 behind the register). My copy ended up being a floater. :-( No scratches on the disc and it played so I'm in luck. BTW, does de Blob come in a different case that the standard Wii one? The hub has two pongs that you push in to get the disc out. Just curious.

Almost purchased a used Fable 2 LE for $29.99 today, but the manager wouldn't let me either open the game before buying (to see the shape of the used disc) or open after buying and being able to return it if the disc was scratched. The guy said "that's a risk you would have to take" saying "if I let you open the product than I have to let every other customer open their products at the store." I'm not sure why he was comparing a used product to new product (every other thing at the store).

Anyway, I passed because the dowloadable code was most likely used anyway, and I'm sure I can get the LE cheaper used at GS in the future.

Saw lots of people buying LOTS of DVDs (really? Have they not heard of Amazon? I can't believe what people are buying thinking they're "deals"). Line to check out took about 20 minutes for the few things I did get. (I FINALLY found Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ!!!! they had 1-2 other copies)

They don't close until sometime in March.. but I doubt things would even last that long.

Both of the CC I regularly visit are already half empty and the discounts haven't even hit 50% yet. Granted, most of the good stuff was gone by the time the discount hit 20% but I wouldn't be too surprised if they got rid of most stuff without upping the discount too much.

To all Circuit City customers.....please think before you buy a display model. Those items have been played with by bored kids. They've been handled by sick people. They've had important files deleted off them by retarded (or devious) customers. They've been on for 12 hours every day for two months straight.

But you still don't care. You think you're getting a deal and when we tell you otherwise you want it even more. I give up on the American public. You really are a bunch of retards.

Its folks like yourself that made these deals for us to take. Got Fallout 3 CE and Saints Row 2 CE for $35/ea.

Had a pretty decent selection of games all around, at least in numbers. Didn't look too deeply as I was only searching for one title that they didn't have. I'd say it's at least worth a look. Arundel Mills was pretty bare though, so I'd stay away from that one unless you're looking for DVDs

Yeah, I was there on Thursday but they said they were getting new shipments every day, so I guess I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks for the update.

Do you go to UMBC, by any chance? We must be, like, neighbors or something.

Went to the Portsmouth, NH, store and it was pretty cleaned out. There was actually a few decent games for PS3, particularly Fallout 3, but the 360 was lacking. I almost grabbed MK vs. DCU, but even for $36, it didn't seem worth it. Was really hoping to find a copy of Left 4 Dead, but no luck.

I went to the Circuit City nearby my college and picked up that crappy Bullet Witch game for $5.70. I figured it was totally worth laughing at for five bucks. Then it froze on me in the first five minutes of gameplay. They surprisingly had a lot of games left, if I had more money, I probably would have picked up Lost Remnant or something else.

The list is in the reduced price game guide thread. If you would have read a lot of the posts you would have seen that a few guides at BB were raised back to full price after the were pennied, like spore LE, madden, wario, ect.

Went to the Edina, MN location on Friday. They had lots of Gears 2 left. I was looking for MS point cards, but did not see any. However, I did not ask either. I was also looking for Fallout 3 for 360, but there were only PS3 versions in the gaming section. I finally found a 360 version in the DVD's. Sorry if someone was hiding that one. I also bought the Fallout guide that rang up half price instead of 40%, so with some of the other posts I've read, it appears the guides can ring up for just about anything. Too bad they only had 1 - 2 checkouts. The line was crazy or I would have priced some more guides.

Grabbed a Mercs 2 for PS3 for $18 last night, and the girlfriend found a Phantom Hourglass for $21. We didn't think we would find anything good since we had been there the night before too. Also surprised to find they had the Rocker on blu-ray for $18... figured I'd pay that to grab it since that's how much it would have cost to see in the theater anyway, even if it isn't that great.

My CC is a mad house, and all the decent games are gone.

Walked out with a bunch of total crap games because I wanted to feel like I bought *something* on sale:

:ps2: Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles 2 $11.02
:ps2: Twisted Metal: Head On $12.98
:ps2: Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk $6.48
:ps2: Teen Titans $9.73
:pc: Galactic Civilizations $3.24
:pc: Rainbow Six: Vegas $6.48
:ds: Bensussen Red Ruby Guitar Hero Case (licensed) $7.57

All the good music was gone too. But did manage to find a Death Cab for Cutie CD and Portishead: Third for ~$7 each.

Actually, there were a couple PS3 games left, but they were still $35.99. Not going to be there by the time it goes down to 50% off.

Went to the Burnsville, MN store and they got a ton of 360 point cards in sometime in the last week. I picked up 3 of those at 12$ each. Saw some decent selection for PS3 and 360 games and nothing for Wii. They got tons of Guitar Hero bundles and a good amount of Rock Band. Also saw a big stack behind the counter of 360 consoles.

I don't think games will drop to 50%. Let alone 60%. Maybe like 2 days before they close. I don't think they would do that. That's why laptops are still 10% off when eveything else is at least 25%. I think they have a certain line for each thing and I think 40% is the line for games.

Anyone in MD know how the Wheaton store is looking today? I'm tired of being disappointed by the Rockville store, and thought I'd take a trek over. I figure it at least gets the baby out of the house.

edit: I shouldn't be so vague. I am looking for 360 accessories and point cards. Maybe a PS3 for my wife (late V-Day gift). I don't think the Rockville store has seen a shipment at all, and I know the Wheaton store has been restocked in the past. Thanks in advance!

My local CC is closing Monday, and they just lowered PC games and DVDs to 60% off yesterday. There were only a few console games left, but since they were 40% off while PC games and DVDs were at 50%, they were probably taken down to 50%. I'm going to check them today, to see if they've lowered the scraps that are left any further.

I don't see me finding anything else there today or tomorrow, but here's what I've gotten so far:

- The Mask Blu-ray - $18.74 (I had $10 worth of CC rewards, so I paid $8.74).
- DirecTV HR22-100 HD DVR - $59.99
- Elite F80NWH 80" pull-up 16:9 projection screen - $86.99
- Monster HTS 3600 Mk. II power center - $139.99

The Wheaton, MD store doesn't have any MS point cards and I didn't see any 360 controllers when I was there yesterday. They have a bunch of 3rd party PSP and DS accessories.

There were no ps3s, but they did have about 6-7 360 Elites at 20% off.

I wasn't saying read EVERY post in EVERY thread.
If you were going to look for penny guides I'm guessing you get that "list" you were talking about in that thread.

If you would have read the last page. 9 out of 20 of the posts say something about guides being de-pennied. One even has a list of which ones went back up. I know my post to you sounded "rude" or like I was attacking you, but it was the easiest sentence I could type using my PSP and I didn't feel like editing the sentence to make it sound nice.

The first post of the thread was edited a few days ago and removed the penny guides that went back to full price. Here is the link of the thread/

Yes they are. However I would check amazon first. Even with the 40% off prices are cuting it close. Pan's Labyrinth was only a dollar less then Amazon only after tax came out to almost a dollar more. I just got back from picking up The Simpsons movie for 17.99 and The Ruins for 20.99. Amazon has The Simpsons Movie for 24.99 and The Ruins for 22.99. Would have both cost me at Amazon 47.98 and at CC after tax both were 42.04. So I didn't save much however I did save. I might head back next week because they have 5 or 6 copies of Saw V on BD and might see if that last copy of Step Brothers is still there. Hell might check on just it and hold off on Saw V to get it cheaper if they get cheaper.

It's beginning to look like the CompUSA liquidation will be better than the CC liquidation, at least for games. I can recall there still being decent games available at 70%, 80%, even 90% off at CUSA's liquidation. But with CC, it looks like most will be devoid of games by the time 50% off hits. I guess it goes to show how much more the general public knows about this liquidation (since CC was such a high profile company).

Christiana, DE game selection was decimated yesterday. About 10 total Wii titles left, 4 total PSP titles left, maybe 15 total DS titles left. The 360 and PS3 sections had a little more selection, but nothing great was available.

I was thinking the same thing with the blu ray discount. A lot of the prices range between $25-35. Even at 50% off, a $35 blu ray is still $17.50 + tax.

I'm not sure what alternate dimension Wheaton store he visited, or if he went before the price drop. I was there yesterday and the games were certainly 40% off. I actually found a pre-owned MGS4 which cost me 20 bucks (the box was marked 40) and picked up a bunch of other good deals too. Of the 3 CCs I visited yesterday (also hit up Rockville and Gaithersburg) the Wheaton store had by far the most left in terms of games (and systems).
