Just got back from the store in Henderson, NV. WOW. It is getting pretty empty and the prices still are shitty. They had a bunch of the the Guitar Hero World Tour full bundles sitting on the floor. You could clearly see $189.99 scratched out with a marker and $212.99 was written on the boxes. I was like seriously? They had printers without ANY accessories (power cable, usb cable, cd drivers, manuals, etc) for like $70. AND PEOPLE WERE BUYING THEM!!! What in sam holy fuck is wrong with people?

They don't know any better. Thank God for that too, because I'd hate to have to compete with them when 'real' deals pop up. >.>

Wow. Just got back from my CC in NJ and they had like nothing good. They had a lot of Last Remnants and a lot of Far Cry 2s. Everything else wasn't worth buying. Although, I did go back to get the God of War 2 penny guide I left yesterday. When I bought it, it was great. For full details read on.
So I flopped the guide onto the table at the register. The guy grabs it and scans it. I'm holding my wallet,(Grabbing a $1 bill ), to pretend like I don't know it will ring up a penny. He doesn't look at the screen just yet. He hits total and looks at me. Then he takes a quick look at the screen and says
"Your total is one cent. Wait?!? A PENNY?!?! omg It's a PENNY!!"
Then he looks toward the cashier next to him.
"Yo this is a Penny. LOOK."
She looks and see it."OMG wow. How many you want to buy, like 20.!" (everyone lol'd)
Then he tells every cashier about it Pretty loudly. Then another employee walks in and my cashier says
"Yo you want to buy this book? Only a PENNY! LOOK!!! He shows her the receipt. Look zero zero 1."
He then asks if I want a bag....(Probably since the bag costs more than the guide :D)
I said no and walked out.
Penny Guide = $.01
Seeing the look on the cashier's face the first time he sells one.....Priceless

I dont know about CC but the Compusa dragged on forever and it wasn't until people were literally unscrewing the displays and cabinets before I found good deals. I bought a GA-P35-DSL for $60. Before that its was like 6 months of stuff higher the online prices. I want to go by CC in San Rafael and check it out but I am not planning on seeing anything good. There is also a home depot closing that had wireless adapters really cheap. And A/V cord, etc.

I went to CC just now and actually pulled the trigger on a few things. I got a killer deal on the whole group that I got.
Heroes Season 1
Heroes Season 2
30 Rock Season 1
Robot Chicken Season 3
Forza 2 for 360
Mirror's Edge for 360
Sims 2 Deluxe for PC
Grand Total of $120
Its funny how the liquidators are running ea CC differently.
The one in Waco Tx had games at 50% off or more and the ones in Austin still have games at 40% and the guitar hero bundles at 30%.

Hey you Maryland people, have you been to the Annapolis CC? If so, how is it?
Yeah, I realize this has been answered, but no, haven't been over there. I'm glad I didn't, either. It was tempting to want to go there as a passed the signs on Route 100 when I went to Glen Burnie (ugh), but hey, looks like I saved myself a trip.

Went to the CC @ Burlington, MA and it was packed. There's still a good amount of XBOX 360 games to my surprise. Not many PS3 or PS2 games left. Here's what I bought........
PC Accessories were 40% off:
Bought Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard for $71 (3 left).
Games were 40% off:
Bought Virtua Fighter 5 for XBOX 360 for $12 (Bought the last copy)
They also had one copy of Lost Odyssey, but decided to hold off.

I Just purchased a PS3, and i so far i got a copy of Uncharted and Resistance 2, for 40% off. My goal since i own a 360 and most of my gaming time which is very little these days is to get as many as my ps3 titles as cheap as possible. Has anyone seen any copies of the following games? Thanks
Metal Gear Solid 4

So I went back looking for Ink for a new printer that was given to me (Epison) unfortunatly nothing on Ink. The games were seriously wiped clean. Barely anything left on the rank execpt for PS2 games and Animal Crossing Wii. This was at the Potomac Mills CC (RIP)
But I was able to find a copy of American Idol :360: game tagged at $69.99 rang up at $17.99 and the last copy of the Castlevania game which were next to the ink somehow. So easy achievement points and a good DS game not too bad.
So I will make one last trip to CC. I swear I want that ink cheap if worse comes to worse off to Amazon I will go.

Good luck with finding those titles. The CC I went to did not have those. I'm not getting a PS3 until MGS 4 and LBP are $19.99 which means I'll be waiting next year.

Any other guides that are pennied?
My CC still has quite a few guides and I almost picked up a couple but they were $10 each with the 50% off. That's assuming they were marked as regular price. I'll go back if the Far Cry 2, Ninja Gaiden II, Mercs 2, and Alone in the Dark guides were all a penny.

The Circuit City I went to today had a number of Arcades left (15-20). I had to go through about 7 of them before I found a Jasper. Most of them were the other version. I ended up not buying the Jasper for $150 since it is only a few dollars cheaper then the Dell deal and I can wait. I may go back next weekend in case the discount is higher and they still have a Jasper left.
BTW, they also had pro's for $225 but none that I checked were Jaspers.

I just got back from the Circuit City in Medford, OR and there is absolutely nothing there in terms of games. They have tons of accessories for all the systems, mostly controllers and 360 wireless adapters, but there are VERY few games. Some copies of Soul Calibur IV for PS3 and a couple of Ninja Gaiden 2 for 360 are basically all they have - and some sports games.
No consoles whatsoever.

In Columbus, OH they were pretty wiped out of PS3 and Wii games. Had a decent amount of 360 games but I don't know if they'd be of interest. The usuals (PoP, Saints Row 2) were there for 40% off if you're interested in that deal.
I almost bit on Spore, but decided against it. Bought DMC3 SE for $6

I was thinking the same thing with the blu ray discount. A lot of the prices range between $25-35. Even at 50% off, a $35 blu ray is still $17.50 + tax.
Still it is not bad just not great. For me it is a little better then Amazon due to the fact that I don't have prime and don't want to put it on my credit card. I may pay a little more or a little less after tax but don't have to put it on the credit card as long as I have the cash and get it same day. I saved just a little under 6 bucks from the amazon prices on the ones I bought today unless you count the gas I used to get there.

I just got a CE of Soul Calibur 4 on 360 for $36 (stickered at $80 rang up at $60, 40% off) I had been wanting a cheap copy of the 360 version to play with friends (I had the PS3 version) and was just gonna get the regular one when I remembered people in here saying that the CE's often ring up the same price

picked up a copy of Halo 3 LE for $25 at Glen Allen CC in VA. It was a pre-owned copy, and I asked the girl at the counter ringing me up, 'would it be ok if I opened this before I leave to see if it's scratched badly?' She said 'All sales are final'. So I asked 'so you'd sell me something that doesn't work?' She said 'Well the pre-owned should give it away...' I just stared at her in awe, bought it, and walked out. It is pretty scratched, but it worked fine for the 30 minutes I played it before my 360, 3 weeks back from repair, decided to crap out.

I went with my Dad today and I picked up:
Saint's Row 2 Collectors Edition - $36 (360)
Just Cause $7.78 (360)
I'm happy with my purchases but I really hoped Fallout 3 would be there. I have to stop buying games, ever since I joined this site in December I've bought like 10 games haha.

Brookfield, WI
They are down to 3 360 Pro's and about 10-15 Arcades left. Nothing is left for the Wii section. I didn't check the 360 section but I believe there was a decent amount of games left but not sure what ones. For the PS3 section, they mostly had a lot of certain games. There was about 20 copies of Fall Out 3, 20 copies of Soul Caliber, 1 copy of Dead Space, 1 copy of Resistance 2, and thats all I can remember. I came out with the copy of Resistance 2 and a CE Fall Out to resell. The Dvd section is embarassing now. They are down to 2 rows left. Used to be like 8. Why are people so dumb?

Picked up the last Dead Space for $36 at my CC, that was lucky :bouncy:. Also got Too Human for $23, Stranglehold for $11 and DarkSector for $11.
The one in Sunrise, FL has a lot of Fall Out 3 CE and Halo 3 Legendary. Well did, every day the Wii and 360 sections are getting consolidated, they're now placed together!
Lots of Price of Persia's for whatever reason. I'm hoping for steeper discounts, then I'll pick up Devil May Cry.

Are there any fellow MAINE CAGs that have been to the portland store? the reason I ask is because I am not expecting much to be left at my local CC in Agusta after this holiday weekend. I can not go shopping till pay day on thursday when the percentage should go up to 50%. was told by a employee the only store getting restocked was the portland store. so if I could get a heads up from another CAG as to if there is a good slection of PS3 games there or not. It would be much appreciated thanks

Went to Mclean VA, Gaithersburg MD, Sterling VA, Falls Church VA, and Springfield VA, today and all the stores were wiped out. The only notables were Gaithersburg which had 2 Fallout 3 CE for PS3, 1 Saints Row 2 CE and 2 Resistance 2. So far I got:
Fallout 3 CE PS3: 35.99
Battlefield Bad Company PS3: 17.99
Final Fantasy Tactics A-2 DS: 17.99
Friends Season 1,5,7 (wife): 14.99 ea.
Reno 911 Season 3,4: 11.99
Band of Brothers Blu-Ray: 53.99 (same price as amazon but I thought what the hell)
Overall I did not pay anything more than I would of on Amazon and got some good deals. Most stores are wiped and I even notice the PC games are starting to fly off the selfs. PS3 and Wii games were the worst when it came to selection. Falls Church VA had like 6 PS3 for 299.99 and a COD WOW CE (360) 35.99. I noticed most 360 game selections were of older games and nothing great.

Rockville, MD store is dead. They are pretty much wiped out. No 360 or PS3 accessories and only 3rd party Wii items. Found one PS3 Saint Row 2 CE and 2 Fallout 3 CE lunchboxes--they're still there if anyone wants them--and a few Prince of Persia's for the 360, I think. Lots of Rock Band 1 & 2 and Guitar Hero/WT.
I spoke with the manager--they have no future shipments coming in and they are just working with the stock in the store.

That was my experience at the Rockville store as well - absolutely nothing worth getting if you didn't want GH/RB peripherals. Ironically, of the three I visited Rockville had the longest line, so who knows what people were buying.
The Wheaton store still had some good stuff, but that was yesterday morning.
Can anyone else recommend any MD or NOVA stores which still might have some good stuff, or are getting new shipments? I have tomorrow off and am thinking of making one last run.

Just got back from the Somerville, MA store. It's actually not bad-- at 40%, and there's still a selection of AAA new-ish titles (Fable II, Saints Row 2, Fallout 3). $36 for these games isn't too bad. I may go back tomorrow, but for now I just grabbed Two Words for $10 and Dead Rising for $12, last copies of each. More XB360 games than any others.
If any CAGs venture over, make sure to have a look at the shelves behind the cashier, there are more games there than on the regular racks and they are fair game.

Every time I've bought at CC, I have taken the item purchased to the "Check to see if it works after buying table". I had one game I cracked open there scratched, and returned it for another one. If they give you a hard time, open it in front of them and say I'm not buying it if it's broken.

It was in the plastic case that they keep a lot of their games in so I didn't look too closely at it. I paid for it and came home. Later, when I went to open it, I noticed that there was a cut in the shrink wrap and the Xbox Certificate of Authenticity. I looked inside the case without removing the shrink wrap any more than it was and saw no disc in the case. So, I paid $35 for an empty box. In a case like this, I wonder if it would be possible for me to get an exchange.

Went to the CC on Route 1 in Lawrenceville, NJ. If you're looking for PS3 controllers, there's a crap ton. Also they've got like 20 copies of Resistance 2, some Far Cry for both PS3 and 360, Force Unleashed for the 360, Bioshock for both, and....memories fading but they're were a few 1600 microsoft points behind the counter.

if you paid with a credit card, call your credit card company and request a chargeback.
Good luck.
I called Discover with my whole point card problem, and they said, "We can't do anything, they're out of business."
Speaking of my points card problem, I finally got an update. My Circuit City was supposed to fax over a list of serial numbers for the cards they sell...and they still haven't done that.
MS said if they don't by the end of the month, they will give me new codes. I'm cautiously optimistic.

cause that would solve it. Find the store manager, and if they are unhelpful, ask for the liquidation firm's contact info. Worst case, dispute with the card.
And whoever had the issue with discover card...call back and get a different rep. They most certainly should at least put a freeze on it and let you file a case. Going out of business or not...

How weird. For Christmas, I received Fallout 3 for the 360 and the bottom of the shrink wrap was also sliced open horizontally. The disc was still inside of it, but it's bizarre that we both had the same type of problem/

picked up a copy of Halo 3 LE for $25 at Glen Allen CC in VA.
I had a similar experience yesterday. I tried to buy a used Fable 2 LE but wanted to make sure the game wasn't scratched before buying since there are no returns. Manager wouldn't let me open before purchasing and wouldn't let me return it after purchase if it was scratched badly. He said it was risk I would have to take, in his favorite superior ("I am liquidation company manager, I am greater than you") douche-like manner. Never mind that if it was scratched that they are selling defective merchandise without allowing a return. Now that I think about it, I could've purchased it and if it was defective did a chargeback through my credit card company.
I bought bioshock for the ps3 a week ago, when i got home their was no disc inside.
And i cant do shit about it because they wont except returns or exchanges.

If this was a new product, try contacting the publisher and explain your situation. It's not unheard of to have a disc missing from a factory-sealed package. Mention that you cannot return the item to the retailer and ask if there is a way they can send you a copy of the game disc. This has worked in the past for me when I bought a DVD that was missing the disc.
Every time I've bought at CC, I have taken the item purchased to the "Check to see if it works after buying table". I had one game I cracked open there scratched, and returned it for another one. If they give you a hard time, open it in front of them and say I'm not buying it if it's broken.
Didn't work in my case. Manager would not allow returns under any circumstance and would not allow me to open the used product before purchase either. Really makes no sense to me since I would have bought it unless it was deeply scratched. Deeply scratched of course means it was likely unplayable, and something that CC shouldn't be selling in the first place.

They were near the Halo 3 Legendary boxes I believe. The games are going fast, so it's entirely possible they sold out shortly after. Two days before they had a Wii and 360 aisle, now they're just one lol.

This was the last day for the Saginaw and Flint MI locations. All dvds, cds, and games were 60% but they had crap. Mostly cds of artists Ive never heard of and each location had like 20 dvds or less. Only game I saw at Saginaw was pro Evolution Soccer for the 360 and no games whatsoever in Flint.
Didnt pick up anything in Saginaw but picked up the following in Flint:
WWE The Music Volume 8
Renaissance
Running With Scissors
Extras Season 1
Brotherhood Season 2
Total came to about $40 after tax. I think they gave me 70% off instead of 60%. lol

At my local stores, I've asked the cashiers if I could open my purchases at the register and get a refund if something was wrong (disc missing or smashed, etc). They've agreed to this, but require my purchase first (to prevent me from just having them open random stuff without an intent to buy). It's worth a shot to ask at least.

The CC in Berwyn, IL (cermak and harlem) has a fairly good selection of games but when I went yesterday it looked like a cherry bomb exploded on that shelf cause the games were mixed in with each other. Still looked like they had a good selection of games but I didn't feel like fumbling through the whole shelf to look for anything specific, I've picked up most of the games I wanted. BUT the glass case in the back of the store had some good titles still gears 2, resistance 2, prince of persia, mirrors edge, special editions of fallout 3 and saints row. This was about 2 or 3pm when I went and it was PACKED!!!! All games are 40% off and they also have/had a quite the good selection of PC games also.
The game accessories section was down to controllers and cables for the 360 but as I was leaving I remembered about looking behind customer service and I just looked from the doorway and it looked like they only had controllers and what I think were wireless adapters for the 360. So remember to look behind the customer service counter for more games and accessories.
I'll probably stop by the downers grove store to check out what they have, last week when I went it was pretty well picked over. Hope this helps and if anyone sees mk vs dc for the 360 somewhere let me know. Thanks

The Wheaton store still had some good stuff, but that was yesterday morning.
Can anyone else recommend any MD or NOVA stores which still might have some good stuff, or are getting new shipments? I have tomorrow off and am thinking of making one last run.

I was at the Circuit City in King of Prussia, PA on Sunday.
They had 4 360 Elites left @ $300 (so not a bad deal there), and I picked up a play 'n charge kit for $12. They also have a ton of GHWT full band kits for $150, I saw PS2, PS3 and 360 versions, as well as GH3 Les Paul's, GH3 guitar bundles, and GH: Aerosmith bundles @ 40% off (I think). There were a couple of the Rock Band 2 bass guitars, but that was about it as far as Rock Band hardware goes.
Games were at 40% off. The best deal I found was probably Ninja Gaiden II for $18 after discount. I did see copies of Quake Wars, Madden 09, and Infinite Undiscovery (sorry, that's all I can remember hidden in the piles of crap games).

It depends on what you're looking for. Ipods will go no lower than 10%, due to contractual obligations with Apple, similar with Zunes, but I think they're topping out at 20%. The rest are fair game - I saw Sandisk players at, I think, 30%.

the CC on old country road (source mall, long island) had 2 xbox elites (299) and 60gb pros (247 i think, perhaps 227). holiday bundles. the elites were dated around march 2008, so older m-boards.
also had a few 2001 psp models, and a pair of ps2 slims. not sure on the prices.
games selections were pretty large (40% off msrp), but the games they had either sucked, or were cheaper at other stores.
i did grab the last 1600 point cards they had for 11.99 each. (rockin)

It is completely YMMV but some stores do have random seasons of South Park and other shows left and there are deals to be had.
However, check the prices on DVDpricesearch.com before you go and note the lowest price. Rule of thumb is that it isn't a deal if it isn't cheaper than the lesser of the lowest price or subtracting 20% off Deepdiscount.com's price.

Star Wars: Empire at War - $3.00

I also picked up Devil May Cry 4 for $25.... but the big steal (I thought) was that Okami for the Wii rang up for $12!!! The sticker still read $39.99!

So would that GHWT kit be $150, or 40% $150?
The stores here in Houston are discounting Guitar Hero (and Rock Band) with instruments seperately from their games. They are only at 30% off now (even though games are at 40% off). So in the case of GHWT it's like $133 (30% off of the $190 MSRP).
I found one store (which will remain nameless) that has quite a few GHWT Special Editions for the PS3 (all the other stores I've visited are sold out already) and I'm waiting for the next price drop (or maybe 2.. I'll watch inventory closely) before I bite.

Anybody in the DFW area seen a Circuit City that still has PS3s? The Southlake one had signs that stated they had some on Saturday, but they are gone today. My coworker is looking for one. PM me if you've seen some.

Just got back from the Naperville, IL store and DAMN!!!! Games are all but wiped out, they had a few ps2 and 1 ds game that is not even worth mentioning. They had a bunch of guitar hero 2 (i believe) bundles and a crap-ton of xbox 360 arcade systems. 1 end shelf of software not even worth mentioning either. Couple isles of dvd's and music but that was also slim pickings!!!!! Looks like they were boxing stuff up so I think they will be closing soon.

How weird. For Christmas, I received Fallout 3 for the 360 and the bottom of the shrink wrap was also sliced open horizontally. The disc was still inside of it, but it's bizarre that we both had the same type of problem/
Good news. I went back to the store and the guy at the door said to get another one. No hassle at all. Extra points for CC employees.

Circuit City in Woodbridge, NJ
360 - Mirror's Edge - $35.99
360 - Assassin's Creed - $17.99
360- The Last Remnant - $35.99
360 - Ninja Gaiden 2 - $17.99
Edit: a ton of Guitar Hero's left(instruments and all) along with Rock Band's. A pretty good selection of games for PS3, PSP, and XBox 360 as well as the Wii. I was surprised to see so many good deals.
Also a ton of good DVDs left, I got the Dark Knight, Robocop Trilogy, Saw Trilogy... a huge selection of good DVDs left, TVs are a boatload left too.. I don't know if no one just realizes the Circuit City by me has all this stuff or what but I may go back in a day or two and see what else I can find.

My Circuit City had them at 25% off, so the total was $150 plus tax. I imagine your store should have them ticketed similarly, but you never know. Good hunting!
At the Encinitas CA store, I picked up SingStar 90's with the microphones bundle for $20.97 and SingStar Pop for $17.99
Not the best deal for the stand alone version, but it's the cheapest I could find. An awesome deal for the bundle though. I wanna thank SteelPenguin67 for helping me out on this one!

Tigard, OR:
Most Xbox 360 stuff gone, only xbox accessory was 2 of the vision cameras, 3 ps3 duelshock 3 controllers left. Just a couple of games left for the xbox and ps3. Assorted third party accesories for the Wii & DS, such as that gun shaped plastic with a laser pointer in it. (I think for the same $6-$7 bucks?) Lots of styluses for the DS.
Even with the lack of stock the place was fairly busy.
Printer ink was 25% off, I'm waiting for the middle of the week to see if another price drop happens first.
A couple of PC gaming accessories left, 3 of the Sitak (sp?) X52 HOTAS flight control setups. I also saw a couple of PC gamepads.
A vast amount of Guitar Hero bundles (Aerosmith & GH 3 & GH World.) All 30% off. I think the xbox 360 GH world was $133 after discount. I'm convinced that Circuit City failed because they put all of the money they had left into copies of these guitar games.....

I was just at the one in HB, CA they pulled a ton of Wii games from the back including SMG, Wii Music and a few other noteworthy titles, the rest shovelware but they had at least 200 games total for the Wii there at noon today. They were sending out the Xbox 360 games next they had in the back, and two bins of PS3 games, mainly Bioshock from the looks of it. I did pick up Socom with the headset for $35 plus tax they only had about 3 of those. I figure by now they PS3 and Xbox 360 titles should be all plastic clamshelled and on display at 40% off. (I was going to pick up Tomb Raider Underworld, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend more than $20 for that game so I'll continue to wait)
I also overheard the workers talking about their paychecks looks like they are their until the end of this month.

40% off games at my local CC, and they're pretty stocked. Copies of Soul Calibur IV, CEs of quite a few games, and a big pile of strat guides that are completely worthless. Blurays are 40% off, but really aren't moving. I got my last dig in though, telling the clerk who got me fired that it was my dad's signature that ordered that particular store to close. Sweet revenge.
Picked up a WWE DVD all the same, Ladder Matches look cool as shit.

Thanks for the info.. I will probably stop by this Thursday and hoping for another markdown. I never stop by at that HB location since I assume that the stores probably get a heavy traffic due to its location. But on the other hand, the liquidators probably send the remaining inventory to that store due to its heavy traffic.
Do they still have plenty of any other stuff there?

Resident Evil: COde Veronica - $7.79
Army of Two - $17.99
Blue Dragon - $7.78

here in pensacola, fl ours is at 40% off on games and DVDs.. yesterday I picked up Midnight Club LA for PS3 for around $35.. I also got some used GTA San Andreas for the PS2 for $3.00, turned around and flipped them to gamestops for $10 store credit each and used it to get F.E.A.R. 2 for PS3. Ours still has a lot of Resistance 2 and Fallout 3s. They also have a lot of used Halo 3 Collector Editions for $20, also. I wonder if those are worth anything still?

Took a look around the Palm Bay store, and just all kinds of pissed off now. The signs said 25-50% everything. We need a new tv because ours is dying/dead. Supposedly 25-30% off all the tvs. Not a single tv under $1000 after the discounts. Even the smaller ones that are 5-600 everywhere else are 1000-1300 in there, including the run down displays. Fuck them.
No good computer games left at 30% except for a bunch of Sim expansions, WoW:BC, Warhammer Online, and things I've never heard of. No console games left except for overpriced Guitar Hero Aerosmith.
CD's were $10 after discounts. Didn't look at the blu-rays.
Tons of junk cables and broken items left. They seriously wanted $60 for a cordless house phone that had all the cables missing and was scratched to hell. Computer accessories were in a pile on the floor. The back half of the store was sectioned off.
But 40% off old Christmas candy, hooray!

Just hit up a few more Maryland stores. The Hyattsville store still has plenty of good games (loads of Fallout, Far Cry 2, stuff like that), though unfortunately nothing I needed.
The Landover store was like a visual study in the reason CC is going out of business. I especially enjoyed the several original :xbox: games I saw labeled at full price. I did manage to find a :ps2: Rogue Galaxy - which I'd meant to buy but never did - new which rung up at $4.50. Otherwise not worth the trip though.
Both, predictably, are still chock full of GH/RB peripherals, which I may swing back through for if they get any cheaper.

I thought about going and seeing what cheap PC games they have but I couldn't even get INTO my CC. They're only letting people in as they go out, but there's hardly any employees to run the place so they're only letting in a few customers at a time. I waited in line for about 45 minutes and maybe 5 people got let in in that amount of time! I estimate a 90 minute wait. Ridiculous. Saving a few bucks on Mass Effect isn't worth that.

Circuit City deals getting pretty good. Got Jeanne d'Arc for PSP for about $12. It's still $30 on Amazon.
My Circuit City still has tons of RB/GH stuff. I'm actually wanting some super cheap Xplorer 360 guitars to mess around with. They're about $15 but there's so many I'm going to hold off a bit longer to see if I can get them even cheaper. I'm hoping for about $10.

Minnetonka, MN Circuit City had some stuff, not a whole lot though. Wii and DS sections were basically gone save a few games like Animal Crossing and such. Xbox had a few games hidden like Gears of War 2, Fable 2. Lots of Soul Calibur IV and Ninja Gaiden though. The PS3 section had some decent games like Fallout 3 and Resistance 2. And of course, a bunch of GH/RB stuff everywhere. They also had quite a few refurbished 360's and Pro's and Arcades. No Elites, PS3's or Wii's to be seen though.

I only looked at PS3 games but:
I got Fallout 3 for $40 at a CC on Pines in South Fl. They had A LOT of copies of Resistance 2 also. A CC on 49th St. had Fallout 3, Warhawk, Virtua Fighter 4, Dead Space, Resistance 2, and a few other solid looking games. Wii still had Zelda, Animal Crossing, Wario Land, Endless Ocean, and Metroid Prime 3. The game selection looked pretty beefy in general even though it's at 40%.
I forgot to mention: I was looking for the Spider-Man trilogy on Blu Ray and found it at Best Buy for $69.99. I thought I'd head over to CC and get it on discount, only to see that the price was $89.99. Take off the 30% off(this was two weeks ago), and it was $66. Saved three frickin bucks. The Blu Ray prices are really off.

My CC had NO systems at all. All they had were aisles full of various guitar hero and rockbands. And a small section of xbox360 games, mostly halo3. No wii or ds games either. No accessories, except a few plastic wii things. I think they must be choosing to send good stuff from the warehouses to certain stores and the rest of the crap to the other stores.
The sony TV's were still about $200 over their prices on amazon, which makes it a deal breaker considering no returns.

I got one at the CC near me. 40% off from $50, so $30. Amazon sells them for $37, so it's not that great of a deal. I needed one, though, so no complaints here.

The Wii, DS and PSP sections had just garbage left. The PS2 section had some games left some good like Resident Evil 4 and bad like Horsez. The PS3 section was filled with sports titles and two copies of Soul Calibur IV CE. There was also no point cards for the Wii nor XBOX 360.

Fear 2 was released a while after CC announced bankruptcy. They won't be shipping newer products to the store as there really is no point.

Thanks for this. I was planning on checking out some of the NoVA this week, but I might pass now.
If you don't mind a drive, there's some decent stuff left in Hyattsville and Wheaton, or at least there was earlier this weekend.

Also why are they giving $10 for San Andreas?
That should be like $2.00

Went to the Circuit City in Boca Raton, FL. Lots of Soul Calibur IV and Far Cry 2. There were still some decent selections of 360 and a couple of PS3 games like Resistance 2. The Wii games are almost nonexistent and there are still a lot of wireless 360 controllers. I made off pretty good with Persona 3 for PS2, Gears of War, Dead Rising and Oblivion Game of the Year edition for 58 bucks including taxes.

It really depends where you go.
I've seen lots of copies of Resistance 2, and plenty of sports titles.
I've also seen a ton of Oblivion (one store had like 25 copies), though not many of the GotY edition, so it's not really a great value.

Scored the last good thing at Champaign's Circuit City. Saint's Row 2 Collector's Edition for the 360. $36 out the door. The games section was next to nil. DVDs and CDs were a giant clusterfuck. I probably won't be going back until right before they close, if they get up to 70-80 percent off for CDs/DVDs.

Finally stopped by CC. Didn't see anything I was interested in. There were a couple games I would have bought if they didn't have them priced at $60. The game should have been $30 and then 40% off that, but oh well. The only thing I thought seriously on was the lunchbox collector's edition for Fallout 3 for PC. In the end, I figured I could pickup the non-CE version for like $20 some day.

I need game accesories to drop even lower. The things I'm holding out on are a ps3 blu-ray remote and a 360 les paul guitar. The 2 CC's near me have plenty of both in stock, so I'm holding out as long as I can to allow for the deal to get better. Running the risk of them selling out of either is killing me, though.

Anyone know of games that would get me good amount credit at gamestop? I did hide a Fallout3 CE in one of the CC's near me, but I'm not neccessarily sold on keeping it. How much credit do you think I could get for that? I would be looking to use the credit towards the new StreetFighter game. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

After getting Fallout 3 CE for $35.99, I went back to see if they had any DS3s left. They were cleaned out and the 2 copies of Fallout 3 CE PS3 that were there when I got mine were gone. I think the employees took them because they couldn't believe it when I told them they rang up for the same price as the original.
I ended up getting Mercenaries 2 for $17.99. They still had a decent amount of games left.

Anyone have the Audiovox in-headrest dual screen dvd player that CC carries (Audiovox Movies 2 Go MMD7HRPKG)? I saw one for 420 at a CC while visiting family and didn't know whether it was a good deal or good quality item. Now that I'm doing a little research it seems like I missed out. Hit up the CC at Midtown in Miami last night. It was pretty devastated but they mentioned they were staying open till March 21st. I picked up the Orange Box for the PC $18 and SW BFII: Rogue Squadron for PSP for $12. Also got Viva Pinata for the wife for PC, it rang up for $40 before discount but was marked for $19.95 so, if anybody decides to pick it up, make sure they honor the marked price.
The games section was pretty uneven. Lots of good PS3 games, some good 360 games, but the PSP, Wii, and DS sections were pretty wiped out. Saw some Chronotrigger copies if anybody is interested. They aslo had a bunch of LE's behind a display case: Fallout, R2, and others...
I'm hoping they will get some more shipments in soon from some of the stores that closed this week...
Tons of music games/kits still left

Do you honestly believe that the liquidators will buy a "new" game at $45 from the publisher/distributor, to sell at 40% off for a loss?
The new items everyday are good from the warehouse. Which are now empty.
Edit:
I stopped by the local one on Saturday. it was packed with a line out the door (almost). The games section is now closed and the only thing left are 100 copies of Guitar Hero 3.

Westland Mi store is just about done.. they have a bunch of junk left.. Last week I did grab Dark Sector new for 5.00..
They shipped much of what was in the Westland store elsewhere, one day they were full and the next 3/4 empty..
I was at the Ann Arbor store saturday, they have a good supply still and are only at 20-40% markdown.. might try later today or tomorrow and see if they have bumped it to 30-60%..

My step brother found a copy of Sims 2 Deluxe for pc for his fiancee and it rang up $2.99 after the 40% off.
I picked up a copy of Battlefield 2142 Deluxe PC for $11.99, however it should be noted EA fucked up with this release and did not include the code to unlock the Northern Strike expansion pack. You have to open a case with EA support and have them unlock it under your Battlefield 2142 user id.

Anyone having any luck getting stuff for a greater % off than what's currently offered? My CC is pretty much dead (no consoles, no games, few movies). There's a Onkyo receiver (TX-SR606) that's only 30% off and they have about 20 left (haven't sold one in two weeks).
