Got a sound blaster Fatalit1y Titanium for 94 out the door... Not bad but not great... Also pickedup mario basball for 30
I have that card. Its just amazes me that Creative and Epic still can't get X-RAM to work in UT3 correctly so they came out with a fix to disable it just so users won't crash out of games. Kind of defeats the purpose of the Fatalit1y version. But its still a good card nonetheless and for ~$100. Creative sells it for $150 on their website and it comes with a headset.

by the time games reach 50%, there will be a total of two games left.
Edit: That total is the total amount for every Circuit City in the United States.
I'll bet the store near me will still have the 50 Cent xbox game! Even at $7.17 cent before discount there are still tons of them....

I went to the CC at Plano on US75 and Parker, and was plannig pick up Fallout 3 CE for 360 but got the PC version instead. There were alot of PC games like Crysis War Head and 360 games like Halo 3, Spider Man 3, Merc. 2 ect.. at that location. They also one copy of Saints Row 2 CE in the glass case.

WTF man, went to one of the LA stores finally, TVs are still insanely overpriced especially considering these are floor models.
Everything was 40% off at best, Xbox 360 Arcades and Pros were the only systems they still had and those were marked at only 20% off.
I wish the games were 70% off, because I would have bought out just about everything if that was the case. They had tons and tons of games still, especially PS3. Games all over the place - the old game section, up in the front, game cases, and behind the front counter. I'm thinking this must be one of the dump stores.
40% off just wasn't enough to bite though, especially if the collector's edition are the inflated original prices (i.e. $80 for Resistance 2 CE, $80 or $90 for Fallout 3 CE etc.). Didn't have time to actually test the game prices i.e. see what they ring up at, but I will on Thursday.

Sorry if this has been said before, but I noticed they marked-up a lot of games back to $59.99 and then advertised the 40% off.
I was thinking of getting Civilization Revolution at 40% off, and then I realized I would still be paying $36 for it.

Mechanicsburg pa store just put out alot of limited editon xbox 360 games that werent there 2 days ago. I got gears of war 2 LE for 41.99. They also had saints row, madden 09 fallout and GTA4 collectors edition, the GTA being the one that comes with a duffle bag.
Oher then that everything is pretty much gone that is useful, all the games are pretty much in one aisle now, including the pc games.
Also might of been a mistake on their part but i did get a brand new too human for xbox for 23$ was marked 39$ when all the other were marked as 59.99$...just had to dig to find it ;p. Was brand new with factory seals and everything, wasnt used.

Not sure which store he was talking about but I was at the Culver City store yesterday and they still had tons of games both in the glass counter and behind the customer service counter. Saw a bunch of Resistance 2 and FarCry2. Saw a few Fallout Lunchboxes, but couldn't tell if they were for 360 or PC.

You made a HUGE mistake. CE and LE ring up the same as regular editions before discount at Circuit City.
My brother in law got Saint's Row 2 Collector's and Resistance 2 Collector's for $35.99 each (40% off of $59.99). He grabbed the last copies of either game. There were some Fallout 3 LE's left for PS3 and PC but I didn't see any for 360. Those too, rang up at $35.99.
None of the games there interested me save for Gears of War 2 which didn't have an LE there, so I just picked that up along with the 60gb Live Starter Kit for $69.99.

Jack and shit left in the Wilkes-Barre(PA) CC store that's decent, as far as gaming goes.
Everything is as expected, over MSRP on most stuff and just not worth it yet.
Maybe I'll check back in a couple more weeks, see if the items they had left last.
If not, no big loss for me.

I might get a few games once the prices are 50% off MSRP... but I guess by then their video game stock will be almost completely liquidated. :/
I'd really like to get Fallout 3 Limited Edition (or even regular edition) for $30 though. It'd be nice to get new copies of God of War and Shadow of the Colossus for $10 too.
Also, how much does Oblivion cost, before discount?

Meh, I figure I can wait. There were tons of copies of everything. If they're still there Thursday, great, if not, oh well it's not the end of the world.
How much are the game systems supposed to be discounted now? 20% off is a joke IMHO for the X360's. I'd bite at 40% though.

Around here Fallout 3 is 40% off 59.99, so $35-36ish. Multiple people have said the CE versions of games are being considered the same as regular, so there you go. Personally I haven't seen any good CEs I wanted so I can't confirm it.

YMMV, but it seems like game guides were 50% off at my local (Raleigh, NC) CC. I grabbed a hardcover Fallout 3 strategy guide for $17 before tax.
Sadly, it looked like all the games (40% off) were marked up. $59.99 for the original Gears of War, really?

How many CAGs are there in Raleigh? No wonder I find it so hard to get deals around here. I stopped counting after 10, I wish I could live somewhere where there was no other CAGs.
On a more relevant note, I stopped in that same CC today looking for that exact guide. There was two last week and now there is none. I guess you got the last one .

A friend of mine flew back to Hawaii this week and he said the CC by Pearlridge is closing this Sunday. DVD's, CD's and videogames are 50% but there is literally nothing left. He's gonna grab a TomTom since Hawaii tax is cheaper than Cali tax lol.
My CC down the street (Maryland Parkway next to the Boulevard Mall in Vegas) is practically empty. Only games left are the few copies in the glass case. I spotted Resistance 2, Mirror's Edge (PS3 and 360), and a few copies of Saint's Row 2 (PS3 and 360). They also had some left over PS2 titles, nothing caught my eye.

LOL CrazyGlitcher and Vegan - how was the game selection at the La Cienega store otherwise, particularly on old crap? I recall they always had bins and bins of old ass games, and stuff hiding in the back.
I want to go check out the Santa Monica store if I get a chance. I'm hoping the store close to my office, Culver City, is the last store standing out of LA, and gets all the left over loot from other stores, preferably at 75% off! But there was some rumor about them shutting down next week, damn it...

Oddly enough, I just bought a copy. I'd been meaning to for some time but kept forgetting.
The PC version rang up as $11.99 (or right around there). This was the original version (not GotY). Dunno about the console version.
To no-one in particular,
Are people still acting surprised that games (and everything else) were marked up to MSRP before the discounts were applied?
Circuit City is no more. All the merchandise was bought by new owners (the liquidators). They couldn't care less what the previous owner (Circuit City) had the merchandise priced at. Are we all up to speed now? Good. ;)

That's the thing, they weren't (at least with games). The liquidators kept the last prices CC had in the system for games and marked down from there. That's why all the CE's of games were discounted off $59.99 (CC lowered these to the same price as the regular editions a few weeks before the liquidation). That's why CC clearance games are being discounted from the last clearance prices (check the last CC clearance thread and cross reference that with the prices people have been getting for games on that list). That's why Okami Wii is 40% off $19.99 not 40% off $39.99. The liquidators did not raise the price of video games - they used the last prices that CC regularly had for those items.
Now I'm sure with other items (TV's especially) it may be different, but they DIDN'T raise prices on video games. A lot of this confusion stems from CC employees never properly marking games to begin with so customers see an old price sticker on an item and assume the liquidators raised the price. Folks, I cannot stress this enough, scan the video games for the correct prices, DO NOT base your decision on the sticker price.

sorry man...I've been to every store from Moreno Valley to Montclair and I haven't been able to find anything but the shovelware and crap...practically every one of them has been picked clean of anything decent
I think someone posted that the CC in West Covina might have something but I doubt it since the last weekend touted the 50%. It's worth a shot if you can make it out there.
BTW if anyone is thinking about going to the Pomona or Puente Hills stores....Don't bother. I found out that they left a few months before in the first round of closings.

You mean they could care less.
Grammatically, the idiom "I couldn't care less" suggests that one cares so little, that the difference between the amount that they care and not caring at all is so minute that there is no step between, and that it is, in fact, impossible for them to care less. The twisting of it into "I could care less" is meaningless, as this suggests that they can indeed care less than they do, which means that they care a measurable amount - in fact, they might care a great deal.

I didn't notice anything really good. No CE games left unless you're looking for Fallout 3 CE for the PC. They had TONS. They had a lot of PC games actually. All the console games were moved to the front and take up only 1 aisle. I heard they restocked a little so I headed over hoping to find a DS3, just my luck, none.

I saw a copy of No More Heroes at the Fashion Island CC, and another at the Culver City one today. The one in Culver City was behind the Customer service desk.
Also for anyone interested, Fashion Island had 1 Fallout 3 lunch box left for the PS3 and tons of regular editions. There were no 360 ones left though.
Culver City however had about 10 Fallout 3 Lunchbox's (360) that i could count and plenty for the ps3 as well. They also still had about 8 360 arcade consoles and 8 or so pro consoles that i could count. The sign still says 20% but I picked up an arcade console that scanned at 25% off ($149.99)
If anyone around so cal is still looking for an xbox i suggest you go to culver city since the ones in Long Beach (both), Fashion Island, and Bella Terra are all out. I didn't go to seal beach, but I'm guessing they are out too.

I don't remember seeing any controllers at either. Just some 360 media remotes, cameras and hd cables. I don't have a ps3 so i didn't really browse the ps3 accessories. Culver City had more accessories overall though than fashion island. I also found games there that I didn't find anywhere else like Fallout 3 (360) and Oblivion CE (360).

I don't know if there's anything left that I'd pick up as for games, but I want games accesorries to go up.

Don't bother with Brookfield. Unless they restocked, they were just about out on Sunday night. They had a bunch of Soul Calibers for the 360 and PS3 and thats about it. A lot of Ninja Gaiden II and sports games also. If you want, I can look Thursday afternoon for you and let you know what they have. I may check out the Greenfield store on 76th street also.
Edit: The only systems they have are 360 Arcade style.

"I could care less" is simply an ironic twist on the negative version - that's 'irony' in its original meaning not the Alanis Morissette usage. It's comparable to using "yeah, right" to mean "no fucking way."

Anyone know what the BIG Firedog wallmounts for flat panel TVs (50" plus) are costing? They had no pricing on them, and I didn't have time to get one rung up.
For Culver City, don't waste your time looking for accessories for the PS3, WIi, or X360, they didn't have jack shit. No DS3s, Wii Motes, hell the only thing I saw were the component cables for the 360 and PS3, and a bunch of cheap crap "accessories"/skins for the DS.

QFT! You're my hero!
This is perhaps my biggest pet peeve. Yes, I know in the gand scheme of things it doenst matter much as the point is still conveyed, but it's just so *wrong*. And to the poster that said it's "an ironic twist", true, it's ironic, but my guess is that it was never intended to be ironic in the "not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good" type of way. I think this "twist" just developed from lazy speech and ignorance. Not some concerted effort to change the lexicography. (/end rant)

According to Flushola (Employee in MI). All the MI stores are closing except for Ann Arbor. He didn't seem to indicate if it would close with all stores in March/April, or if it would be earlier.

CC stopped receiving new product the day the liquidation began. The product being shifted around right now is just old stuff from other stores. As has been stated many, many times in this thread already, THERE WILL BE NO SF4 AT CC. I'm really getting sick of people not looking through the thread and just bringing it up blindly.
If you'd read the liquidation history, you'd find that a number of stores stopped sending them product because they couldn't pay for it. Makes no sense that companies would lose money by sending them items they're not paying for. Come on people, common sense!

I was at two circuit city's in SoCAL this weekend and found this pick of the litter of xbox360 games:
At Long Beach on Spring St (was there on Sunday 2/15):
Far Cry $36
Mirror's Edge - $36
RockBand 2 (game only) - $36
Prince of Persia - $36
Far Cry 2 - $36
Fable II - $36
Lost Planet Colonies Edition - $12
I picked up Far Cry (even though you can get it @ Best Buy for $40), Mirror's Edge, PoP (also $40 this week at BB), and Lost Planet. There were about 3 or 4 copies left of each of these games that I saw as I was going through them (minus 1 for the one's I bought of course).
At the Circuit City in Covina (was there yesterday 2/17), I didn't check on the prices but I'm assuming these are 40% off of full retail as well which would be $36:
Halo 3 - there were 3 copies left ($40 at best buy)
Prince of Persia - there were tons of copies (again, $40 at BB)
Spiderman WoS - 2 copies
Fable II - about 2 or 3 copies
So I spent about $120 total which is $40 in savings if I would've bought from Best Buy. Net savings was 25%. Not that drastic as the 40% off you think you're getting.

We struck back out to the CC in St. Peters, MO. Thankfully we did. Here's a list of things I bought:
((Prices listed were retail, but got 40 percent off))
Blade Runner 4 Disc $24.99
The Day After $9.99
The Warriors $9.99
True Romance $19.99
Also got Fallout 3 CE.... $36. WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this is more than what I saw when I was there 2 days ago. They didn't have any of those movies before.
The guys at the customer service counter were putting games into the plastic boxes... so there might even be more games there later. But as far as I know, I got the last Fallout 3 CE for 360. There were 3 on PS3 when I was there.
Just another note about this store, they were re-organizing it and moving stuff forward. The DVD's were being put into rough alphabetical order.
They also had a few copies of Left 4 Dead (360). In case anyone wants one.

It does have replay value IMHO. You keep all of your equipment and upgrades on the second trip through, and you won't be maxed out by then. Also, the trophies are fun trying to get, and same deal, there's no way you'll have them all after your first game.
The only caveat is that the second game is set on the same difficulty as the first if you want to keep your equipment.

Maybe I'm spoiled by the Wii light gun games, but I just couldn't deal with the set up for Time Crisis 4. Each Guncon has two usb cords you have to run across the room and you have to hang these little weighted sensors off the top of your television. For me, the hassle of setting the damn thing up makes it not worth playing.

Looks like the one I was planning to go to tomorrow is already closed in Clermont, and I'm sure the Lakeland one isn't too far behind, wasn't too much remaining in terms of games .. any others in the Orlando area that has some decent DS games remaining, outside of Brain Age and Castlevania? I grabbed Chrono Trigger a few days ago when they went 40% off, but haven't been able to find much else (Prof. Layton, or an RPG)

Need my fellow CAGs opinion on Time Crisis 4 with guncon at 50% off. the sticker is $78.99. is it worth it just for the guncon? theres only 1 left at my CC and im not sure if its worth the $40. might just save that $40 for dead space that will be on sale at target next week. tell me what you think thanks.
Have them scan the game. I'm not sure if CC lowered their regular price on this to $59.99 like a lot of other places, and just left the old sticker on it. So it may actually be only $29.99 after the 50% off.

My goal of waiting to at least 50% off has come...
Now, I will go in tomorrow and hopefully find the items Ive been holding back on.
I am not going to go crazy, it all depends on how many of what I want, I see.
If I see a ton of what I want, I'll problably wait for another drop or 2...
If not, then it's gone.

I was near a second CC today so I dropped in to check it out. Gaming section was quite a bit different than the store I was in last Friday. This one was pretty much cleaned out of all the good stuff.
Mostly it was lots of old games marked up to $60. They had boatloads of Resistance 2, however, and a few random copies of recent releases. I left empty handed, though.

got halo 3 collectors edition for 25 at CC in Bridgewater NJ. There wasnt much left according to my friend who picked it up for me. he saw a bunch of San Andreas in a bin and found 2 copies of Halo in it.
TVs 25% off
DVDs 40% off
Laptops 10% off
Computer accessories 40% off
Games 50% but dont quote me on that since the copy of halo i did get was preowned..which is odd because my CC never sold preowned ever in the time i ve been going there.

Good luck.
I scoped out a local store yesterday since I was in the neighborhood. PS3s, gone. Fallout 3 360, gone. Rock Band 360, gone. All since the last drop - and they had a lot then. This next drop was going to be when the discount on these things was significant enough to bite, but the marks have pretty much sucked it dry of any deals.

Southlake, TX store still had a number of games on Tuesday so I imagine many remain as of today. They had a decent selection of PS3 games (several Fallouts, couple R2s and Saint's Row 2s among other things) but they still had a ton of 360 games. I'd probably go again today for 50% off games if they have it, but I already have plenty to play.
I also managed to check out the Hurst and Arlington stores last night and they were far more barren. Saw a 360 elite in arlington and a handful of Pro's or Arcades in Hurst.

I also seen for the Xbox 360 there: Pure, Lords of the Ring: Conquest, Fallout 3, Rock Band 2 (game only), Guitar Hero: World Tour (Game only), Soul Caliber IV, EndWar, Far Cry 2, Prince of Persia, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Saints Row 2, Mindnight Club: Los Angeles. Systems and games were 50% off today at the store I went to. Wii section was laughable - the whole section was comprised of 3 Mushroom Men and 2 Battalion Wars 2. PSP section was not much better - 3 copies of the latest Wipeout game.
I did manage to get a silver slim PS2 system for $60. I had been meaning to pick that up for a while now and this was the magic price point.

Went clearance shopping today. hit 4 stores in Agusta ME bought 10 games with the biggest haul at cc. was only about 30 ps3 games to choose from. here is what I got @ 50% OFF.
Saints Row2 CE-----$30.00
Ferrari Challenge---$25.00
GRID----------------$25.00 <----mislabeled $59.99
Soul Calibur IV------$30.00
Transformers TG----$10.00 <---mislabeled $29.99
All pro football 2k8--$10.00
@50% off what was left will not last long. there was like 20 people waiting for the doors to open. should be pretty wiped by the end of this weekend. passed on Time Crisis 4 thanks for all your help. I was told the bangor store will close on monday. I expect this store not to last more than 2 weeks if that. that just leaves the portland store and I have no more money or desire to make the 2 hour trip. at least this week lol.

50% off games, 40% off games accessories confirmed for Exton, PA. I finally got that 360 Les Paul guitar controller and PS3 blu-ray remote that I won't shut up about. They had plenty of the guitar controllers left, I probably could have waited another 2 weeks to pick it up. They only had 3 of the Sony brand blu-ray remotes which surprised me since they had 25+ or so just last week.
DS games were practically gone. Wii games were even worse.

Come on, no one has ideas about the 'safety' of buying a 360 from them? I'm guessing there's a chance it'll be a Jasper, particularly if I get an arcade?

Anyone check any NJ stores that can give an update on inventory?
Was at the CC in Woodbridge on Monday... alot of decent games left especially for PS3. A ton of good PSP, Wii, and DS games left. I think I snatched up most of the good 360 ones unless they decided to put more up they were hiding.. i might go back tonight.

Are the "social" games (RB/GH) dropped to 40% or 50% now? They were 30% 2 days ago...
Just got back this minute. Social game bundles - Rockband, Guitar Hero, etc. were still 40% off.
Going to write a complete report now...

systems at 50% off? Really?
So you're saying a 360 arcade unit would run for $99.99?
That is...if there's any left...:(

If I can get that CE for $30, I can sell the game for $30 and basically get the CE addons for FREE.?

I am planning to go to the Greenfield, WI store in a couple hours. Taking the bus down because I don't feel like driving. Hopefully I will be able to find some decent blu ray dvds. I have my eye on A Clockwork Orange. If not, I will head to the Brookfield store and pick it up there.
I am also hoping to find some collectors editions for Fallout 3 for either the PS3 or 360. I am making a killing on those for reselling. I bought one last week with Resistance 2 and it came out where I only paid $5 for the Resistance 2 because of the money I made.

I doubt you'll get a Jasper from CC at this point; I can't imagine Microsoft shipping newly made 360's to CC who didn't pay bills? I could be wrong...
I'm going to stop there tonight; I've been eyeing SR2 -- would prefer the non CE edition, but eh.

Do you mean the one by Good Homes Rd. and Highway 50? I was planning to go. :(

looks like ill be heading towards circuit city right after work then.....;) Some one better not hoard them all to themselves!
Seriously, they should make it illegal to buy two games or more of the same copy so other CAGs get to enjoy them too. Not that I'm point fingers at anyone, but I always only bought one copy for myself. THIS SHOULD BE A CAG's code!

circuit city stopped getting shipments from sony a LONG time ago, before the game was even gold. Therefore they do not have Killzone 2, because its not released yet, and circuit city/liquidators would be the last people to get it.

Okay, Culver City, CA store report. I didn't look at anything except for games, so I can't report on DVDs etc. Even at 50% off, I'm hard pressed to say there are any deals to be had in those sections or elsewhere in the store, judging from the stock and prices from Tuesday, anyway. But as far as games go, it was pretty good pickings.
There are tons and tons of Guitar Hero World Tour bundles left. Lots of social gaming bundles other than Rock Band 2.
If you're looking for last gen games, don't bother. PS2 selection is minimal at best.
PSP was gutted - only 10 games or so left, the Star Ocean copies that were there on Tuesday were gone.
DS still has about 150-200 games left, highlights were a couple of copies of Sonic Dark Brotherhood (took one, $17.50...a bit high for my taste) , Mario Party, , lots of Zelda (at least 10 copies), and a variety of other crap.
XBox 360 had tons of games left, including at least 1 or 2 of all of the RPGs, a few Fables, a couple of Fallout3 Limited Editions (no doubt will be gone today). All the collector's editions are in the front of the store behind the counter, so check there...but they were picked a lot cleaner than on Tuesday.
Lots of Ninja Gaiden 2, probably 1,000 games total in both areas. Make sure you check both the GLASS CASE in the game section (opposite side of the PS3 glass case) and the shelves behind the checkout counter - I asked the lady at the counter if I could walk behind the counter to check out what they still had in stock, and she agreed. It helps to be polite and respectful guys. Only systems left were 4 or 5 XBox 360 Pros and about the same number of Arcades, that's it. 30% off on those, I still passed because I want an Elite, and even at the 30% off, with tax it's not a huge discount. Especially since I expect another price cut soon, or at worst another great Dell deal.
Wii had lots of copies of shovelware, 1st party games were starting to get slim, I got what I believe was the last copy of Okami ($10). There were at least 500 Wii games left - check the Xbox 360 case for Wii games as well as a few DS games, since there are some there too.
PS3 had lots of collector's editions left of Resistance 2 (at least 10), Fallout 3 (at least 8), and Saints Row 2 (at least 5) left, $30 each plus tax. Thinking about getting a Resistance 2 and Saints Row 2 CE, and picked up a Fallout 3 CE. LOTs of PS3 games left, but not much in the way of new stuff. Passed on a copy of Dead Space, Civilization Revolutions, and Condemned 2, since I just couldn't justify the prices, LOL. Not like any of the PS3 games, or 360 games for that matter, will be all that rare. But since I and my family/friends play a lot of Rock Band, I got Rock Band 2 game only and RB Track Pack 2, $30 and $15 respectively. I would have considered Silent Hill Homecoming or Valkyria Chronicles, or maybe some of the really newer games, but they didn't have many. Only a couple of Rock Band 2's left, tons of Resistance 2 regular versions, and about 500+ PS3 games total.
Here's what I picked up:
DS Sonic Dark Brotherhood $17.50
Wii Okami $10.00
PS3 Rock Band 2 game only $30.00
PS3 Rock Band Track Pack V2 $15.00
PS3 Fallout 3 CE $30.00
$102.50 total, with tax $110.97
