Even though cheapy might have loved Saints Row 2 it is the the one game (collectors edition and normal) that is at absolutely every circuit city.

Circuity City in Burnsville, MN was basically cleaned out of all respectable games. I picked up TMNT on Blu-ray. Had a few PSPs and lots of 360 arcades left.
Did they mark down the 360's to 50% off as well? Now only if I could find a system with the jasper chip.

I doubt you'll get a Jasper from CC at this point; I can't imagine Microsoft shipping newly made 360's to CC who didn't pay bills? I could be wrong...
I'm going to stop there tonight; I've been eyeing SR2 -- would prefer the non CE edition, but eh.
Yeah, I mean I just don't know. Jaspers started showing up I think a few months before all this, so...it's possible, I just don't know if it's likely or not. Now if mine actually has them 50% off I'll get one regardless :)
EDIT: And I'd get a PS3 for my friend, and a few backup PS2s for me, if they had any :-/

As for arcade, Don't the jaspers only come with the Sonic sports bundles? SO if I see Kung Fu panda...No jasper, right?

Don't the jaspers only come with the Sonic sports bundles?
No, they started phasing Jaspers in last fall across everything. I just don't know if any of these would be Jaspers, or what would be more likely to be a Jasper. People at first were reporting more Arcades than anything else as Japsers, probably because they sold through that model faster than the other two (ie Elite was probably the slowest to switch over, because it probably sells the worst).

DS and Wii games in Johnstown are wrecked. 360 and PS3 are still fairly robust, with only most of the bigger titles gone. Also, like 30 copies of SoulCalibur4.
Picked up:
Bully (360)
Mercs 2 (360)
Trauma Center 2 (DS)
Advance Wars 2 (DS)
Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice (DS)
Fairly happy with that. In addition to the stuff last week, this liquidation had been fairly good for me.

Oh and if someone can report on the La Cienega CC and the Santa Monica CC, it would be greatly appreciated.
La Cienega was pretty well picked over. Next to nothing for the PSP left. DS selection was slim except for a few copies of the various versions of Nintendogs and one copy of Castlevania that looked like it had been reshrinked. Wii selection limited to a bunch of copies of Animal Crossing both with and without wiispeak, Wii Music, a few copies of Star Wars Clone Wars Lightsaber Battles and a random assortment of third party junk like Guiness Book, and Skate City. Xbox 360 selection seemed to be pretty good with most of the major releases still in the glass case. Not sure I would pay $30 for games that are now at least a couple of months old, though. PS3 seemed to be similarly well stocked on newer stuff. Not too much of the CE stuff left from what I could tell. By the way, La Cienega has several copies of Conan for the 360 and it rings up as $6.50 since it was $12.96 as of the liquidation happening.
I also went to the one at Ocean Gate/Hawthorne and they still had lots of Wii stuff, but the first party games were limited to Animal Crossing and Music. I picked up a copy of Mushroom Men, not too sure why. DS was badly picked over and basically no PSP stuff left. 360 and PS3 selection seemed pretty good, but again very few CE. They did have like 50 copies of Fallout 3 CE for the PC though.

Just got back from the Austin,TX, store, and it looks like a flea market in there. Only sports games and a copy of Soul Caliber IV for PS3. The only thing worth mentioning for DS was Zelda. I didn't have time to go through the 360 games, but nothing stood out. Still a lot of DVDs and BRDs. Not even a good deal on a TV.

I was shocked at how picked over the store I went to was compared to Saturday morning.. they must have sold a LOT over the long weekend.
That said, battery backups are up to 50% off which is a pretty good deal if you're in the market for one...

At my local CC here in Cincy, consoles are 30% off & they still have several 360 Arcade, Holiday, and Pro. They also have about 15 PSPs in stock.
Games are 50%, and they still have a few decent titles; just can't justify buying anything with my huge game backlog.

Went to the Bolingbrook, IL store and everything jumped up in discounts.
50% games, dvd's and music.
still 40% for game accessories but they didn't have much other then xbox 360 controllers and remote controllers.
Ton of guitar hero world tours for 30% ( I think, maybe 40%, didn't look to close). Although I did see the majority of the full kits were ps3 and some ps2. They only had the guitar bundle for the 360.
Network gear was 50%
mp3 were, I think 30%, except a couple of ipods they had and they were only 10%.
Might check the Berwyn one later.

Mechanicsburg PA has a decent amount of 360 games left, bunch of crap for wii, and a few good titles for PS3. I got Fallout 3 CE and DMC 4 CE both for PS3 for about $55.00, so not bad. That will probably be my last visit, as I'm expecting that with everything media wise being 50% off, it will be completely gone by this weekend.

Went to both CC's here in Austin today. North store was heavily picked over, South store had a few more 360 games. Ended up picking up NHL09 and Soul Caliber 4 for $30 each. (My 8 year old son loved a previous version of Soul Caliber for the XBox so I though I'd surprise him)
No glass cases with CE's or anything in them :(
Both stores had pallets of GH bundles/guitars left - so these may last until the next percentage drop.

I can verify the new discounts are in effect at my store.
Picked up:
Dark Messiah Might & Magic LE $4.17
Hidden Expedition Amazon $10.00 (gift)
Stronghold Crusader Extreme $7.48
PS2 Guitar Hero: 80s Edition $25.00
Lego Batman Guide $8.00
Quake 4 Guide $1.00
The Q4 guide came up a penny, but he said it would go through at that price. First he said $6, but another employee said "$1" and that's what he rang it up for...
I saw the Fallout CE lunchbox for $35 (PC). And a ton of Guitar Hero game/guitar for $40 something.
Very little else. Some old 360 and DS games. I will go by on Sunday to see what's still around.

Anyone been to the store in Tigard, OR recently? I was thinking of going after work if they still have some selection...
Not sure what you are looking for, but it's fairly picked over. Lots of Guitar Hero/Rock Band for 40% off now, I only saw rock band 1 for the Xbox, but Guitar Hero has every console except the Wii.
Games are now 50% off. Xbox 360 only had about 5 games on the shelf, and a couple of games behind the counter at checkout. PS 3 had a little more, but not much. PS 2 still had some games, but I didn't really look them over. Both Xbox and PS3 accessories are gone, some cheap made chinese Wii/DS accessories.
Still a couple of PC controllers (40% off) and several type of PC mice (40% off.) Lots of blank CD/DVD, but I would stick with online stores like supermediastore or meritline instead.
Printer ink is now 30% off, but it's pretty well sold out of the "popular" ink.
Still some TV/Stereo systems, didn't check the price but I can't imagine that the deals are really that good vs a store where you have a return policy.

Also, games were still 40% off, unless they just weren't tagged at 50% yet.

The Whitestone CC is nearly picked clean. There're a few x360 stragglers (games), but nothing really good. All Fable 2, and most AAA games are all gone. No accessories left either, except for garbage Wii stuff.
Okay, Culver City, CA store report. I didn't look at anything except for games, so I can't report on DVDs etc. Even at 50% off, I'm hard pressed to say there are any deals to be had in those sections or elsewhere in the store, judging from the stock and prices from Tuesday, anyway. But as far as games go, it was pretty good pickings.
La Cienega was pretty well picked over.

You interested in Hawthorne? If so, I'll look for anything you're looking for. Otherwise, I'll probably just run in real quick to see what's there.
Sure, though I thought the Hawthorne/Lawndale location shut down already.
I thought the Culver City location had a bunch of the super rare/hard to find/expensive Battleship/Boggle/Yahtzee/??? game for DS, but it was a different one, grrr. :bomb:
Oh and if anyone is interested in Collector's Editions for X360 or PS3 at Culver City, go NOW because it will be gone by work tonight. Otherwise, don't waste your time unless you want regular editions, but it's getting picked clean fast. My coworker just got back and reported the following left:
X360
Halo 3 Collector's = 6+
Halo 3 Legendary (beat up box = 1
Fallout 3 CE = 4
Madden CE (LOL) = 3
Saints Row 2 CE = 1
a couple of misc. collector's editions for X360 are left behind the counter on the shelves with the regular games - no idea which ones
PS3
Resistance 2 = 2
Fallout 3 CE = 5
Saints Row 2 CE = 2 or 3
SOCOM bundles = plenty
DS = Phantom Hourglass = 20+ copies, nothing much else of note at this point.
Wii = 1 copy of Okami left in the glass case, maybe more behind the counter

Picked up the last copy of Socom at Fashion Island, not much of any else. Lake Forest CC still had about 10 pros and 5 arcades and a better selection of games behind the case.
BTW, is Socom for the PS3 any good? Have they fixed all the issues that were plaguing it? Metacritic has it at 62, but most of the reviews are blaming online issues that were supposed to get fixed.

I went there around noon and got the last copy of both Resistance 2 and Fallout (PS3). On top of that my wife got a Pink DS for $91. The cashier had forgotten to ring up Resistance 2 and I was stupid enough to ask for a price check because I thought she had already ranged up the game (I was distracted) and then she went like: "Oh I forgot to scan the game"... I wanted to die. I almost got a free Resistance 2.

Some stores still have a lot of CEs left? WOW
Most stores still have them stickered at $79.99. The general public thinks the discount comes off of $79.99 when in fact the discount comes off of $59.99 for most CE's. Also factor in that a lot of the CE's are behind the customer service desk (where you may not think to look), and that's why they are still available at 50% off.

Speaking of dumb shoppers, you should have seen all the assholes in the store this morning, yelling on their cell phones, axin' dey baby mommaz' babiez n childrenz, n dey baby daddiez "YO WHAT GAMEZ YOU WANT, MUTHA Fucka???", yelling at the employees, just being belligerent dumbasses. Rude rude rude! The manager just ignored them and helped me, mainly because I was polite and respectful in asking for help.
This goofball hipster was on the phone, and tries to flag down a worker - "hey excuse me, yeah you, EXCUSE ME! I want an Xbox 360 wireless network adapter, where are they?"
Guy just looks at him, shrugs, and goes "beats the hell out of me man" and walks off. Poor hipster was just dumbfounded, stunned at the "poor service" he had just received. I really was hoping he would muster up the courage to say something to the guy so I could get some entertainment out of it. But alas, after picking his jaw up off the floor he continued the phone conversation, telling his boyfriend "well I guess they don't have any."

Frontlines: Fuel of War (360) $9.99

I found a blu-ray in one of the dvd players, and I knew the guy up there.. he rang it up as candy.
Dinosaur 'blu-ray' for the kids, for 70 cents.. Not a bad deal..
Also they had the store wireless router w/o a power cord for $5. I found one there in a bin for $5.. and I jsut wrapped it around the router, and they gave it to me for free.. toook it home and tested it, works great!!
Total bill, around 7 bucks.. for a linksys wrt54G router, and a blu-ray dvd. Not bad.. someone give me some props!

i dropped by Santa Monica, looking for Gears 1 or 2. No go, though the computer inventory said that there were 7. There were a lot of games, and about zero accessories. i'm looking for a charger, sigh...
Tons of POP, Fallout 3, regular and lunchbox, Far Cry 2, and the music games. If you're looking for something else, post and i'll answer if i saw it.

Last week for my store from what I was just told is next week. I will be heading back sunday to check out some BDs. Didn't really see games that I wanted. Hope the deals are better with it being the last week but chances are they wont be. Games they had all locked up other then RB and GH. They had them grouped by 29.99, 39.99 and up and that was after the percent off they were giving. The BDs they just had put where ever and the prices marked out. People were asking how much the movies were and the employees were telling them that it was the price marked out before the percent off so 40% off of what ever price is marked out. Funny thing was the movies I was looking at were all around the same price as on Amazon. Some even after tax.

Seekonk, MA CC is at 50% off games as well, but not much is left anywhere at this point. Hardly anything Wii is left at all, very little for 360 or PS3 aside from old sports titles, and what's left in the glass case. For the 360 I did notice at least 2 copies each of Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant, I believe marked 59.99 so that's roughly $30. PS2 has the most, but the quality stuff has been raided for the most part now. Still copies of RE4, Devil May Cry & DMC3 Greatest Hits version available, I think they're all around $10 before tax.
In the glass case they still have several copies of Prince of Persia for 360, Smackdown vs Raw 09 for both 360/PS3 I believe, Fallout 3 CE for PC/PS3, maybe some other less notable stuff. All the Resistance 2 copies they had before are apparently gone.
Also, the entire PC section has been moved closer to the front of the store, between the registers and the cameras. Took me awhile to discover it. They had at least two Warhammer Online time cards, I think they were marked 29.99, 50% off may be worth picking up if anyone plays.
There are no consoles, PSPs, or DSes to speak of, I looked around so unless they have some in the back, this store is cleaned out of systems.

Gears of War 1 and 2 (regular editions) are at the Culver City store - even closer for you, but GO TODAY if you want one. If you don't see them in the glass cases, check behind the counter because the nice girl at checkout wearing the hijjab specifically told a customer "we found a box of games, mainly Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War 1 and 2 last night, if you're looking for those".
No idea how many, or how long they will last.
As for the Santa Monica store, do you recall the selection of collector's editions for PS3 games?

Yes - assuming you're coming from Santa Monica, take the 405 South to 90 East. This dumps you almost immediately onto Slauson, as the freeway basically ends right after the transition.
Make a left onto Slauson, and it's 2 blocks down Slauson on the right hand side, at the corner of Slauson and Sepulveda.

Fallout 3 Lunchbox (PC) - $35
The Orange Box (PC) - $15(!)
Dreamfall (PC) - $12.50.

Just got back from the Wheaton, MD CC. There's still some decent games left behind the glass, the typical collectors editions people are seeing.
I picked up Fallout 3 CE for the PC (it was the last one in the store on any system), which I plan to give to a friend, and also got Ninjatown.
Anyone in the DC area who's looking for a 360, they still have several Elites and Arcades behind the counter (I doubt they're Jaspers) marked at 30% off.
And of course the requisite GH/RB peripherals. (Although almost nothing left for WT or RBII).

I went to the Monrovia, CA CC earlier (the one they newly opened like 6 months ago), games are at 50%, but not much game selection left. Only notable ones where Guitar Hero WT (game only) for 360 and Fallout 3 CE for PC. Monroeville, PA CC this evening. Went mainly for 1 PC game:
Call of Duty 4 (PC) - $25. Had both the regular edition and GOTY.
They had a ton of PC games, pretty much anything you could want. Saw the Fallout 3 lunchbox edition (PC) that people keep mentioning. I'll be surprised if all ~200 copies of Left 4 Dead (PC) sell at 50% off...
Console games looked pretty barren, though they still had a few in the glass cases (can't remember specific titles). I picked up a Pelican HD System Selector ($12), since my old TV has only 1 component video input. They had a ton of Xbox 360 wireless controllers.
Behind the checkout counter, they had Xbox 360 Systems (Arcade & Pro holiday models) at 30% off, along with some PS2 systems for 30% off. By some miracle of restraint, I didn't buy any of them.
Hope this helps someone.

Hawthorne, CA is not that great.
Plenty of Fable II, Prince of Persia and a couple devil may cry's. I saw far cry 2 as well, and some other titles.
For PS3, there are at least several copies of RE2, some copies of fallout 3, and I didn't look much beyond that.
Wii was garbage except animal crossing and wii play. DS was pretty much destroyed except for phantom hourglass.
Overall, almost no accessories. They had maybe one or two 360 wifi adapters behind the counter.
They still had about 30 or 40 360's of all types at 30% off.
I'm not going back unless games go above 60% or consoles hit 40% or more. All I'm looking for at this point is a cheap jasper arcade, PoP for less than 30, and DMC4 for less than 20.
There are TONS of fallout 3 CE for PC, as well as PC games in general. Blu Rays are destroyed, as I was hoping to get Kill Bill 1&2 that I saw during 40% off. Also, the display 360 was RROD. I lol'ed.
Does santa monica or culver city have anything decent left in blu rays?

Just got back. Got the last of both of the PC games, that was close! Can't believe they were still there.
Starcraft Battle Chest $10
Orange Box PC $15
Mercenaries 2 PS3 $15
So frustrated! Was going to get a 360 Pro or Arcade but they were all Falcons (ticking time bombs). Should have bought a PS3 at $300 but I was so pissed there is no BC. What a lame generation of systems; 1 has a life expectancy of 1 year, 1 axed a promised massive library, and 1 is made specifically for non-gamers ;( Sorry for the vent.

Yeah there are some CC that have games left. Mine has about 300+ PC games. 200-250 Xbox360 games, 10-28 psp games. Over 100 ds games, about 70-110 PS3 games. About 4-6 full rows of bluerays.(No blue ray player )
Edit: I still can't decide if I should risk grabbing that Fable 2 LE game. It is preowned. The case looks in perfect shape and I think CC resealed it since it was shrink rapped. It's a risk if it is missing like the bonus Cd's or the bonus download content, or if the disk is scratched to hell. What does preowned mean? Like it was returned open. Last I checked my CC never took trade ins.

My cc is weak... they have two copies of DBZ-T3 for the whole Wii section... unless you count the 30 boxes of wii fit bads.
They have many blu-rays but the best movie as far as blu-ray worthy is nightmare before christmas.
I still think their TV prices are a joke because I can walk into a walmart and get a cheaper better tv.

Obviously your experience may be different, but I've picked up three pre-owned games so far in the liquidation and all were in perfect condition. At my CC anyways, they rang up at about a 10% larger discount than the going rate at the time. So one I bought tonight rang up at 60% off, and in fact still had the Microsoft seal on it despite being labeled pre-owned and re-shrink wrapped by CC. I don't know what the deal was, but it was definitely a steal. YMMV of course.

i stopped by the circuit city down the street from my home, i saw the games and they were pretty picked through and nothing that peaked my interest i considered getting condemned 2 but i passed, but if you want an extra guitar or something for guitar hero or rockband that may be worth picking up. Blu rays were picked through pretty well just a bunch of movies i had or did not want

Santa Clara, Ca. (Steven Creek) must be worse.
I went there and was surprised to find they still had a lot of stuff left. Granted it was mostly crap, but they had stuff. It's been quite a while since the last time I was there.

I just came back from Atlantic Terminal, NYC and their selection is horrible. The only thing that's even note worthy is Resistance 2. The one in 80th and Broadway have a much better selection. They have Resistance 2 as well, but they also have Saint Row, Prince of Persia, Soul Calibur IV, Command and Conquer: Kain's Wrath, Rock Band 2, Fable 2 and LOTR Conquest(all 360, most of them behind glass case). I also saw Castlevania Order of Esclasia, Advance Wars Days of Ruin, Little Red Ridding Hood's Zombie BBQ, Ninja Town and Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution(all one each).
Anybody here check out the Union Square, 83 Lexington or the one in Rego Park? The last time I check Union Square is when they have 40% and there was tons of Animal Crossing for Wii. I wonder why Circuit City have a large stockpile of Guitar Heroes like it is a Nintendo Wii? The whole floor is litter with them and no one seem to be buying. It will probably take 80-90% discount to move all those units.

Orange County, CA report: Went do the Lake Forest CC right after work. No more Fable 2s, although I think I spotted Fallout 3, maybe 1 copy each for 360 and PS3 behind the counter. They had a lot of the 360 60gb hds behind the counter too, although they rang up at $59.99.
Went to the Tustin CC right after and got the last copy of Fable 2. So I'm happy =)

Silverdale, WA is mostly empty now. They have NFL Head Coach, NBA 2k8, and All Pro Football. Left. They do have a few of the PS2 games and Guitar Hero games left. Other wise it's picked over. I was holding out for 50% off GPS but presidents weekend took their stock. They only have the TomTom 125 left, and two of the units left. NO rechargable batteries, no cameras, no camcorders. Only plasma TV's of all sizes, and LCD over 52". I thought I heard the manager say that May 1 was their last day to be open. I saw an internal communication (email) that mentioned it was important to make sure that during the final weeks they gathered up all the fixures and product towards the front of the store to make sure it sells.
I had to read it fast as they were all talking by the door as I stood in front of the register. But it wasn't anything we didn't already know. Sell it now before we have to discount deeply.
I got two Guides normally $20 rang up for $8.00

Just went to 2 CCs here in St. Louis...
1st stop Brentwood: Pretty decent selection of console games and software left all at 50% off. Walked out with 360 Prince of Persia and 360 GT:World Tour for $30 each, DS Zelda and DS Sonic: Dark Brotherhood for $17.50 each as well as DS Castlevania: Order of Eccelsia for $15. I was disappointed not to find Mirror's Edge for either system though. They had extras of the PoP and GT but I got the last copies of the DS games. Now all I need is a DS! :D Couple notable games I saw were PS3 Fallout 3 and PS3 Resistance 2. They had a few copies left of each.
2nd stop St. Louis Mills: The entire console game and software section was pretty much picked clean. I did pick up PC Quantum of Solace for $25. I have a feeling that was even too much but oh well. :D
Gonna probably go out to Mid Rivers Mall tomorrow.

Zombie BBQ is a great game. I bought it for $14.99 at Gamestop and it is well worth it. I saw a copy today but I left it since I already had it. Definitely worth $10.
Both the new and pre-owned games were 50% off today at Circuit City. Although they didn't have everything I wanted, I am glad I waited. I got a lot of good deals on a lot of games with colons in their titles. ;)
Bioshock (360, used) - $10
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS, new) - $15
Dementium: The Ward (DS, used) - $6
Lego Batman (PS2, new) - $15
Mercenaries 2 (PS2, new) - $10
Naruto: Ninja Council 3 (DS, used) - $6
Need for Speed: Pro Street (PS2, new) - $10
Prince of Persia: The Fallen King (DS, new) - $15
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (PSP, used) - $6

Gonna probably go out to Mid Rivers Mall tomorrow.I ran by the South County CC and it's pretty much picked clean.
A few bright spots were a single copy of Saints Row 2 CE (PS3), a few copies of VF5 Online (360), Monster Madness (PS3), plus some other games that I don't remember. The entire game section had been condensed into a single section of retail space, with all the remaining games on one side and some accessories on the other. There were some Guitar Hero WT and GH3 controllers for multiple types of systems there, at 35% off.
I did find one single game that I picked up, which was a copy of Civ Revo for the 360, at $20. I was expecting $30, as it's 50% off $60, though maybe it dropped in price to $40 retail in their system, as that's MSRP for it now, and that was why it was $20.
If you're local to the area for the SoCo CC, it might be worth a quick look, otherwise, I'd suggest passing on it.

I went there and there were tons of Guitar Heros. There was hardly any Wii games. The only game that sort of peaked my interest was the Devil May Cry 4 but I have a huge backlog of games so I didn't buy it. The CD selection was pretty bad - How many copies of Buckcherry can you deal with? I ended up getting a an old copy of MS Encarta which was an OK buy.

Went in today saw alot of guitar heros left and that was about it, a few xbox 360 , ps2 and pc games they were almost wiped out of everything I have a feeling by the looks of it they will be closing this coming week, there was very little left to sell...
I hope the last day they are open I might get the onkyo amp which was 188$ marked way down already today looked to be an updated version of the one I already have so if it is then maybe I can get it closer to 100$ on the last day (don't need it just like to have an amp with HDMI Pass through built in) they have a stack of them and like 3 sony bravias, few cameras, headsets

Circuit City here in San Antonio was completely wiped out of video games... until I walked over to the CD section and noticed an employee filling the aisle with games. Seriously, I don't know where these games came from, but this was a fresh stock. There were dozens of Ninja Gaiden II, Soul Caliber IV, Prince of Persia, Fallout 3, and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. I pondered getting the LE of Fallout 3 and Mirror's Edge, but just couldn't bite the bullet even if $30 is a great deal. I see Mirror's Edge dropping in price soon enough and I have so much of a backlog right now, I don't need a game like Fallout 3 sitting on my shelf staring at me. But some stores might get shipments or have extras that they'll be putting out for the weekend, so keep an eye out.

You know it's bad when candy is 40% off.
I think I made a couple good pickups. Did a lap through the store (East side Madison WI) No PS3 or PSP games or real peripherals left, a few 360 games, a handful of PS2 games. They had a ton of Guitar Hero 3 and Legends of rock boxes for both 360 and PS3, not sure if I saw any Wii versions.
But did a lap around the TV section, most way over price obviously, but I did find a Panasonic Viera TH-42PX80U on sale for $699.99, which is $140 less than Amazon, and it's a top Consumer Reports Best buy pick for a 42 inch plasma. It's now in my living room. :) There were three left, so if you're in the market for a pretty bad ass Plasma tv and are in driving distance of Madison, have at it.
Also by dumb luck I found a PS3 Blueray remote for $10. It was in the universal remote section, I almost feel sorry for the person who swapped it out for a universal remote thinking it would work the same.
And no, I didn't get any of the candy.

Hawthorne, CA is not that great.
------ SNIP-------
There are TONS of fallout 3 CE for PC, as well as PC games in general. Blu Rays are destroyed, as I was hoping to get Kill Bill 1&2 that I saw during 40% off. Also, the display 360 was RROD. I lol'ed.
Hot damn, how much does Fallout 3 CE for PC ring up for? If it's cheaper than the X360 CE, I'll get the PC version. The Hawthorne location is pretty close to my work. Maybe I'll drop by during lunch break. ;)

Stopped by the CC in Tukwila, WA on my way home today. They were picked pretty clean games and Blu-ray wise. They had a ton of Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band bundles though. Just picked up a few things.
Juno - Blu-ray

A Scanner Darkly - Blu-ray

Pink Panther Movie Collection - DVD

OK, here's another update on 360 games in Long Beach (on Spring St.) and in West Covina (on Barranca Ave.) I came out the West Covina store at 5:00pm with Crackdown ($15 after 50% off) and out of the Long Beach store at 6:00pm with Unreal Tournament III and Fallout 3 for $30 each. Here's what else I saw...
West Covina:
Star Wars Force Unleashed - 2 or 3 copies
Devil May Cry 4 - 7 to 10 copies
Halo 3 - 2 copies
Prince of Persia - lots of copies
Soul Caliber IV - 5 or so copies
Fable II - a couple of copies
Long Beach:
Fallout 3 - I counted 6 copies from my vantage point (they are behind the cashier counter)
Unreal Tournament 3 - 3 copies
Conan - 3 or 4 copies ($7 after discount)
Dark Sector - $10
Fracture - behind the cashier counter
Juiced 2 - a few copies
Need for Speed undercover - 2 or 3
Lots of sports games, I don't know which I didn't pay attention to any of them
I didn't post the cost for some of these 'cause they're either not labeled or behind a glass case so I couldn't see the prices. The big scores would be Fallout 3, SW:Force Unleashed, and maybe UT3. I would assume that if you're at the LB store first thing tomorrow there'd be a good chance there might be copies of Fallout 3 left (I missed it when I was there on Sunday or I would've bought it then at 40% off).
So since Sunday I've bought Far Cry 2 ($36), Prince of Persia ($36), Mirror's Edge ($36), Lost Planet ($12), Crackdown ($15), Unreal Tournament 3 ($30), and Fallout 3 ($30). Total $$$ spent = $195. I would've spent $310 if I bought these games at Best Buy. I don't know when I'll have time to be playing these games though.

Ninjatown is supposed to be pretty good (Meta score in the 80s). Picked it up last week for 17.xx because of it's rep and it had a special bonus button thingy (wasn't sure if that was normal or a CC bonus; whatever).
Also picked up Zombie BBQ last week for 12.xx after debating the risk of waiting. Have been playing it all week and it's worth every penny; I don't exactly care about the $2 savings. So, yeah, pick up Zombie BBQ (and just go ahead and skip the "Normal" setting). Have fun!

At Fashion Island CC I picked up the last copies of Apollo Justice, Castlevania OoE, Ninja Town, and Trauma Center 2 all for $15 each. Also bought Wii Music (still 1 left) and RB Drum Silencers for $12. Has anybody in SoCal seen RB wireless drum kit for the 360? Tucson, AZ here.
I visited the CC on Broadway and they didn't have much left. A sign on the door said they're closing in 10 Days. I remember someone saying that CC was supposed to close by March so that looks about right.
360 Games: Tons of copies of Halo 3 plus a few copies of Conan and GH3. In the glass case they still had at least 5 Shaun White Snowboarding, plus a few Prince of Persia, a Far Cry 2, a SCIV, and a Mirrors Edge. Not much else.
Game Guides: They still had a bunch left. They were marked as 50 or 60% off which still wasn't enough for me. I was hoping for 75%. Tons of Pokemon and City of Heroes. 1 copy of Super Mario Galaxy, Alone in the Dark, SC Double Agent, Ninja Gaiden II, GTA IV, Far Cry 2, and Mercs 2.
PC Games: I bought 1 of the last 2 copies of Shadowrun for PC. It's marked at $49.99 so I figured it was $25 with the discount, but decided to get a price check and it ended up being $12.50 + tax. They also had 1 copy of Viva Pinata which last time I check was marked at $20 so it was either $10 or $5 depending on the discount. Now that I think of it, I should've bought it. Also had 2 copies of Kane & Lynch. It was $20 so I decided not to take it. Lots of Sims expansion packs and a few Age of Conan and WOW copies. 1 copy of some Spore DLC. Not much else worth mentioning. I was hoping they still had some Fallout 3 CEs but the 3 that were there last week were gone. :(
Blu-Ray: Still a small collection. I saw 1 copy of Lost Season 3 and 1 copy of Prison Break (not sure which 1). 1 copy of the Oceans (11, 12, and 13) set. 1 copy of Dan in Real Life. 1 copy of The Shining (original version). Not many other good movies.
For all intents and purposes, CC is dead. I may show up on the last day and try to get some cheap guides and maybe Viva Pinata and Kane & Lynch for the PC if they're still there.

iPhone is the way to go. Did that on Tuesday with my friends and found that prices on TVs were massive ass. Still are, for the most part. Or a push with CC, at best.
BTW I went back one more time to Culver City after having a few pints after work today with coworkers, like I said earlier Collector's Editions are GONE unless you want one of the following (only judging from behind the counter, since there could be some spread around the store, but NOT in the game cases):
Halo 3 CE - still 5 or 6 copies left
Saints Row 2 CE X360 - 2 copies left
Madden CE - 3 or 4 copies left, again,
Fallout 3 CE - 2 left
Guitar Hero World Tour bundle - 20+
Rock Band 2 (out of now where, they had more!) - 3 or 4
PS3:
1 Saints Row CE (I took the second to last) left
0 Resistance 2 left - I knew I should have picked one up, damn it!:bomb:
SOCOM - 4 or 5 left
Fallout 3 CE - 2 left: ONE ON THE LOWER SHELVES FOR CE's, ONE ON THE OTHER SHELVES BEHIND THE COUNTER...I took one more for trade or selling bait (I want a good Collector's Edition, damn it! Resistance 2 or something else)
Rock Band 2 bundle (out of no where, they put out more) - 2 or 3
Maybe a couple of Maddens or some other shit collector's edition
1, exactly 1 Warhawk Online Only/Headset bundle, on the shelf with the regular games
Wii:
Pretty much just the lame shit at this point, all over the store
PS2: nothing, but check the shelves behind the counter there are some games there
X360 and PS3 have lots of games but not much standing out. Don't waste a lot of gas or get a speeding ticket getting over there in other words.
DS is pure shit at this point, PSP even worse.

Unfortunately, the UT3 is not a good deal as you can now get it new at Gamestop for $20.

lil taken back...went to buy PS3 RB2 kit...manager said it was a "different" catagory than video games so only 40%...huh? walked out with my $95 plus tax...
Yes the signs at my CC say "social gaming" for all the Rock Band/Guitar Hero/Scene It/Buzz stuff and those are still only 40% off. Regular games are 50% off.

Oh but I forgot to mention. Was talking to one of the managers and he strongly believes that the Culver City store is going to be one of, if not THE, last store standing in LA. So it could be open a few more weeks and getting more shipments of games.
I'm crossing my fingers, because it's literally a couple of blocks away from my office. Easy peasy picking off 50% plus games...I just hope we get some more collector's editions (or better yet, some more consoles - PSPs and DSs would be nice, Wiis and PS3s would be amazing, and some Elites would be really nice...all at 50% off would make my year), especially stuff I really want.
And a Rockband 2 bundle for my nephews for under a hundred would be nice...$115 is just not "CAGGY" enough for me, LOL!

Do you think there's a limit on PC game discounts? Could it drop to 60% or do you think they'd cap it at 50%?
Reason I ask is my local Circuit City has several Diablo Battle Chests and I haven't seen the numbers dwindle so assuming there's another bump in the discount I'd pick one up at 60% off (since it'll just be a spare copy) if there's any left.

So, the first week of the liquidation accessories were 30% off and over a month later they are 40% off. During that same time period games went from 10% off to 50% off. Anyone else find this odd? And what were the liquidators smoking to start off stuff like point cards at 30% off when they probably would've sold out at 10 - 20% off?

dang, you're right! I've been pretty good about checking prices online on my winmo phone before picking up a title saw around $35 for a new one online but forgot to check gamestop. I guess I overpaid for that one. Maybe I'll try "returning" it to Best Buy and get another game.

For you guys living in South FL, you can officially skip the Circuit City on Pines Blvd. The last day of operation is March 31 but the video games have been picked (almost) clean. 360 had the most games left. Wii and DS were almost completely gone and the PS3 didn't have a whole lot of winners left(besides a boatload of Resistance 2 copies). Unless you'd like to be surrounded by Guitar Hero boxes, you can skip the store.
I got Resistance 2 for $30 though, what a damn good deal.

They jacked everything they could back up to $60 before taking the discounts off. I was hoping to get Bourne Conspiracy for $15 since the last time I saw it there, it had a price tag of $29.99. Tonight, there was no price on the game and when the cashier scanned it, it came up $30 after 50% off. Decided to hold off until at least 60% for that one.

Time to check the CCs in my area. Others have posted some of the stuff that they have found in some of them but at 50% off is when I'll start to pick through what is left. Depending on the game, even 50% off is not enough in my opinion.

:ps3: saints row 2 CE - $30
:psp: star ocean - $20
:dvd: ATHF season 5 - $12.50
:dvd: martin season 4 - $12.50
i was lucky to find all that. i picked up the last copy of everything i listed. i was hoping that they were still gonna have chrono trigger DS but the 3 copies that were there were gone. i saw them on monday but couldnt find them today. my local CC has maybe 150 games TOTAL left, with 25 of them being Final Fantasy 12 for the ps2. might pick up some tv dvd box sets when they hit 80-90% off, but i pretty sure most of the good stuff will be gone by then.

They had games at my local store at 70% off for about a week before they closed I think.
The games I remember are...
UT3- $15
Lineage II w/60 day - $7.50
Half Life 2 Ep. 1 - $12 or $15
Stalker: Clear Sky - $12
Those are the only games I recall other than some Hannah Montana game I think.
T.V. stands were pretty cheap at $30-$75 after 80% off. It's too bad I didn't have room in my car.

iPhone is the way to go.
WOW Damn, I can't believe your store still have this many CEs!!!

Ya, Rock Band and Guitar hero are categorized as "social gaming" aka "these-retail-for-too-much-and-sell-too-well-to-mark-down-completely"
The stacks and stacks of GH (and, to a lesser extent, RB) still left at my local CC stores suggest a flaw in that strategy. They have so much inventory they still haven't even opened some of the "don't open before" brown boxes.
All they had to do is walk into a Best Buy and look around at the obstacle course of GH/RB inventory on the floor. And then look up at what's on the overhead shelves along the walls. Not to mention the "Last Chance! Are you SURE you don't want a huge box to go with your little baggie?" displays at the registers.

Went in on a whim last night and finally saw something worth buying. A Hauppauge 1600 TV tuner card for $45. I've been wanting something like this for a while.
Also got the entire run of the National Lampoon on DVD in PDFs for $5. They told me it would be $20 at first but when I actually tried to buy the POS choked and the manager just called it a generic item for $5.
And a $5 DS game I've long had by illicit means but now I'm legit.
A nice Kensignton mini surge suppressor with 4 plugs and 2 USB charging ports for $10.

Some of these $59.99 games may well be $15-19.99 on this Black Friday, but I doubt less than $15

I think they mean behind the customer service counter, I've seen extra accessories behind that counter in the berwyn, il store. The Circuit City in Rockville, MD had about 20 preorders boxes for C&C3 Red Alert, which includes C&C2 full game. Dont remeber the price, but should be cheap and with 50% off, good bargain.
Not many games there. Oblivion for PS3 was at $15 with the 50% off, good deal there. Otherwise about 10 copies of All-Pro Football 2k8 and that was about it. Saw Baja (dirt racing game) for PS3 and Soul Calibur 4 for 360. Found Rock Band 2 (game only-360) and Little Red Ridinghood Zombie BBQ (DS) and got those two for $40. Nothing much unless your into PC games. The had a LOT of Guitar Hero bundles including World Tour for $114. The also had 3 copies of Prince of Persia for 360, but those were under the locked case.

It will probably take 80-90% discount to move all those units.
how much were the bundles at 80th? they werent following the tv standards as they marked down games as 50 dollars flat. and the 86th lex closed a while ago.

I can echo that sentiment. Of all the CCs in the DC suburbs (the MD ones anyways) Wheaton seems to have the most good stuff left. The Customer Service/Checkout Counter. For example, at the Culver City location, when you immediately walk in the doors at a 45 degree angle, turn slightly left, and you will see 2 freestanding checkout counters. If you turn further to the left, beyond them, is a large counter near the wall of the store. This is the main checkout/customer service counter.

Absolutely. I bought one for my brother even before he gave me the okay-- if he wasn't going to take it, I was planning to keep it for myself to put in another room (already have one int he living room).
It's a tremendous value for $139. You'll probably want to pick up at least a 20gb hard drive to go with it, but as others have mentioned, you can probably sell the memory card to offset the full cost of the drive.

I'm not sure why you're comparing this to Black Friday since BF is over 9 months away. If it's something I really want to play then I'm going to pay $5 or so dollars more and play it now. I'm not going to wait 9 months on the chance that it will be $5 to $10 cheaper. I posted about this last week. The display consoles (and the lcd screens) belong to the vendor. I actually inquired about buying one just after the vendor had gotten there. I thought she (the vendor) was just an ordinary customer who was buying the PS3 display model. So I asked one of the CSR's if the units/tv's were for sale. The lady very clearly told me that they were not, they were the property of the vendor and could not be sold. As this was happening, the vendor gave me a death stare for even asking this question. That said, those tall tower/display things that hold the units and the LCD's can be sold.

That said, those tall tower/display things that hold the units and the LCD's can be sold.
In that case, +1 to vendor owned RROD 360's
That's ok, I'll get my cheap PS3 one day :D

Somewhat OT but relevant to this arcade being worth $139 disucssion: Are the Xbox live ID's tied to the hard drive or the system? Basically, can I just yank my hard drive out of my elite and put it on the arcarde unit?
You can, but after you do, you need to use the license transfer tool on Xbox.com. If you don't, all of the content you bought will only be available when you sign into XBL with the account you bought the stuff on.

That's not what he's asking. He's saying he wants to use the same account, and he wants to be sure just changing the hard drive will allow him to do that.
The answer is yes. I sold my original xbox, which I had purchased shivering isles on. When I bought another xbox and singed in with my live ID, I was eligible to re-download it. So, in short, if you tie your ID to your hard drive, you're good.

I answered his question. He wanted to know if he could take the hard drive off the one machine and use it on another. I told him he could, but also gave him more information, which was extremely relevant.

Hey guys, thank you both! And also, my apologies for starting an OT discussion. You were both very helpful!

Yeah, you told him he can, but you also added he has to use the license transfer tool. He doesn't. He's keeping the same HDD and same XBL account.

I'm not saying that isn't helpful, it's just not necessary.

Precisely. I don't want one. I bought GH3 when it came out. Play it about 1 week and I still haven't touched it since. I know it's been longer than 1 year.

Mine in Buffalo sucks. I can still go to Gamestop and get most of the games cheaper as i don't mind buying used. Heck i can get them on ebay cheaper. Not worth my time.
