Sorry to post this here but I tried to post in the regional and couldnt click on my region's forums for some reason. The Camp Hill, PA Circuit City has X-Box 360's with the 60g hard drive and kung fu panda/lego indiana jones for 209.99 I picked one up yesterday they are behind the main counter there were about 20 left.

How are the HDTV deals? Should I wait longer?
Only thing you're going to get are floor models with thousands of hours already on them.

There were alot of unopened tv's in my local CC the only problem is they are just now at the price you would have bought before the liquidation hit. I would wait for the next price drop the prices were still terrible.

Do giftcards still work at CC? I know everyone on here was yelling for everyone to use up their giftcards back in Novemberish because of the rumblings about CC not surviving through the holidays.
Yes the giftcards still work but only as long as the stores are open, obviously. So much better to use them now while there's something to use them on...

Where abouts are you located? My recommendation is to try to hit all the stores in your area. Hopefully, that's somewhere near the west side, because Hawthorne had COD WAW copies. No idea on the wrestling game, you could try Culver City though. And is this for PS3 or 360?
Im located in cerritos/lakewood and the norwalk CC is nearby me. The system is 360.

The Cranston, RI store had TONS of GH3 and Aerosmith bundles but at $42 are more expensive then they are at BB. There were three World Tour PS3 Bundles and one PS2 bundles left. For PS3 games there was All Pro Football, SC4, Unreal Tournament, COD ((behind the counter). Still a decent selection of computer games, DVDs and Blu-Rays as well.

Hmmm...personally I don't think the ones along the 405 are too far from you. Just take the 605 N to the 105 W to the 405, or the 605 S to the 405 N - the Hawthorne one is a couple of exits south of the 105 (exit Rosecrans EAST exit, right at the light at the base of the offramp, right on Rosecrans, right again at the Ford dealership light) and the Culver City location is right by the Marina Freeway.

I hit up the Circuit City in Boca Raton and picked up Lost Odyssey for 15 bucks. Also went to the Margate store and got a copy of Mass Effect for 10 bucks. A friend of mine was able to snag Ultima Online 10th anniversary edition (PC) for 2.50 there as well.
Is that the store near FAU? If so, how was the game selection?

I just checked out the Rego Park store in New York.
They still had behind the customer service desk several copies of Fallout 3 (non CE) for PS3 and 360, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Prince of Persia, and some other more recent games.
Around the store, they still had the typical smattering of other stuff. A comparitively large selection of mid-ware 360 games. Lots of Guitar Hero bundles, including several World Tour sets. They only had the PS3 stand-alone drum kits for Rock Band.
As for movies, they had a pretty big selection of box sets left, lots of TV stuff like The Office, Futurama, South Park, House, that kind of stuff. A small selection of Blu-Rays, but nothing great - mostly comedies and dramas. A couple of isles of DVD stuff, but nothing I felt like flipping through as it's all randomly clumped together.
good looks on the info. i kept 4getting to go there. i live litterally 10min walk there. all i want is fallout 3. might run there today.

Just crap left in Tukwila, WA. A bunch of over priced-worthless games like Helgate London (PC) for $25.

02-22-2009, 01:47 PM
The Circuit City in Columbia, SC (Harbison Center) is at 50% off games and was almost completely devoid of console titles. I saw a Saint's Row 2 PS3 Collector's Edition hiding with the DVDs, a few copies of Soul Calibur 4 (360) in a glass case, and two copies of Red Alert 2 for the 360. Aside from Guitar Hero: Who Cares Anymore, that's literally all the console stuff they had across all platforms.
They've still got a decent amount of PC games, though. Including some MMORPG timecards (I saw Warhammer and Conan).

I found the Logitech PS3 (Gtan Turismo 5) steering wheels for 50% off in the computer section. They had a bunch. Long Beach, CA. Bellflower Store.
It is in the Best Buy ad last week for $99. CC discount was $72.
I also grabbed a L/E Saints Row 2 for $32.

I don't feel sorry for them - they're fucking idiots, same as dumbshits who spend 50K plus for audio systems...or even 5K for that matter. But as they say, a fool and his money are soon parted...but hey, different strokes for different folks!
Wouldnt matter around me anyway (FT. Lauderdale, FL).
All of the CC around me (40 miles) only have a few left (500 and 700 class) and they are the long runs (20 ft. - 50 ft.).
What there is plenty of is that Nexxtech or whatever stuff.

Victorville store- Very few games, few blu rays, okay selection of DVDs.
Montclair store- 60% yellow taped off, no games, small selection of blu rays and dvds.
San Bernardino store- Tons of DVD box sets, about 20 console games total.
Good thing I bought all my accessories, Resistance 2 CE, Warhawk and Socom Bundle, couple DS3s and a slew of other over the past weeks. Saved well over $400. I made out better than Black Friday. Only thing I am waiting on still is for the TV stands to go to 70% off. All the stores mentioned had tons of them. Times like this is when I wish I lived in a less populated state than California.

They already are getting cleared out ('m talking World Tour), so if you can still find them at 50% off (next Thursday hopefully) then jump on them. Of course, they will no doubt be found for half off come this Black Friday, but whatever...
As for Aerosmith and GH3 bundles, I wouldn't bother. At least not until 90% off LOL.
Well, I am gonna wait then, for GH3/Aerosmith.
I am just waiting for a WIRELESS Guitar and a game I don't have any of them yet!!! :bouncy:

Went to Newport Fashion Island and Lake Forest CC, place has been picked through. Just a bunch of Prince of Persia and Tomb Raider Underworlds. Saw 2 SCIV CE (360) and a couple of GTA 4 SE behind glass in Newport, Lake Forest had about 30+ Fallout CE's for PC.
I'm looking for Fifa 09 or Tiger Woods 09 for 360 in the OC, should have snagged it when it was 40%.

Albany, NY store was cleaned the fuck out of games. They had a 5 foot section with all their remaining console games -- I didn't see anything at all for the Wii, lots of Pokemon Ranger games for DS, and a handful of 360 games and used PS2 stuff. It was a pretty sad sight -- especially to see all the people pecking clean the bones of the DVD section.

Woah another CAGer from RI.
I went there to other day and picked up a rockband disc only for $17 (it was preowned) still a great deal.
When I went there were no COD (assuming you meant call of duty WaW) left behind the counter.
The store still had a TON of stuff at 30% but it was all gone in a matter of like a week and a half. At least I picked up a Fallout 3: CE when it was 30%

That's what my local CC was like... nearly half of the remaining space was allocated to TVs which are still only 30% off. The people might be stupid towards some things but I guess they're more careful when it comes to high prices items like TVs... $900 for a 32" LCD after the discount? Bullshit.
But at the same time, all the speakers and receivers were gone even though they were ridiculously priced as well.

Picked up darksector for $10 at my local CC. Not the best game but worth $10. Also somewhere someone said something about CC jacking up some of their prices and yeah I can totally confirm that they are. I was about to pick up crackdown until I noticed that the price was $60 before 50% off. Oh and Prey was $60 again, when you can get it for $10 used at GS. The weird thing was that it didn't make sense which games they jacked the price up.
Oh and beware the TVs my local CC jacked their TV prices way up so people coming in would think they were getting a good deal on TVs. But I saw a TV that was normally priced $900 at BB was priced $1300. So even with the 30% off your still paying $10 more. Don't know if this kinda thing is happening everywhere though.

Please tell me you scanned those and those were the prices in the system because you may have missed out on some decent deals. CC is notorious for not updating the sticker price on games when they go down and I have continually encountered it during this liquidation at CC. Case in point, Okami Wii was marked $39.99, but scanned for $9.99 (50% off of $20).

Went to the Canton, OH store today, it's all but cleaned out of games. They must've shipped everything elsewhere. They only had PC games left (crappy ones at that) and GH bundles. Blu-Ray selection was terrible (unless you really want some christmas movie, they had like 10 of those) or Lost. TV's were WAYYYYY over priced still and there were mostly floor models left.
I'd say any planned trips to this store would be a bust at this point.

The only good games they had were 5 copies of Fallout 3 (non ce) for the 360, 1 in the rack behind some sports games and 4 behind the counter. Is each store closing down at different times based on inventory or is there some date when this is all over? I'm thinking maybe each store decides on its own because some say their stores have a lot of stuff and others say none at all.

I bought a nice used shelf for all my dvd's for about 30 bucks during the tower liquidation. No way I am going to buy their used couches or chairs... Too many germs and other stuff...plus I read that they actually HOLD it until the end, which kinda sucks.

They already had the back half of BOTH my local CC stores blocked off unless you were going back there to try and buy fixtures and other stuff like that. If I remember correctly, the metal shelves themselves were about $3-6 apiece, but I don't quite remember the price on the gondolas to put them into.
I bought a nice wooden shelf, used, at Salvation Army a while back for $3-4. It serves my purposes just fine, since I have maybe 10-12 DVD's and the rest is games.
My store had tons of the Gamer's Club memberships for 50% off...
 Please tell me you're kidding on that. I mean, unless the Canadian stores chose to honor the Gamer Club, anyone who bought one would be buying it for 1-2 weeks IF that.
That's just SO wrong, though these liquidators sell everything that's not nailed down usually, so this doesn't really surprise me too much.

Wow your stores still have those gamers cards? Didn't FYE have a promo going on where you trade in the card and they give you something in return!??! I forgot , but it was posted here on CAG.
As for the furniture. What do you think is a good buying price for one of those big tv trees? Are they even worth it? compared to a tv stand?

No, older games weren't. I got Dark Sector for $11 when it was 40% there. They just don't update the price tags on the games. You really need to have someone scan the games for the real prices.
It's one of CC's busier stores so maybe it's not on the same discount schedule as the others. Or they forgot to change the signage.

Honestly, I couldn't even begin to tell you what would be a good price on the furniture from CC, since I have no real desire to grab any of it. I know I wouldn't pay much for most of it and most of the fixtures are still overpriced by my standards. You're better off waiting till the final week(which might well be THIS week, since most of their leases are up in March I believe).
But I think the deal you're talking about from FYE was that they would give you one of their discount cards for a year if you trade in the Gamer Club one from CC. It was either that or something similar.

Not much left at all at the CC in HB, CA, game-wise. They have two PS3 titles, All-American Football, and one copy of Smackdown vs. Raw 09 as of 4:00pm pst. Oh and they have plenty of Gutair Hero Gutair sets for PS2(entire band still available), Xbox, and the Wii. (although most of it is selling at 40%, the gutairs themselves 50%).
Also, they have about 15 copies of the Fallout 3 CE for PC there at 50% off that is about it.
This will be the last time I go there, I managed to snag Spiderwick Chronicles on Blu-ray for 17.50 so not bad overall considering that one has a very high retail price.

Went to CC in Santa Monica and they still had a decent supply of games available. I picked up DMC and DMC3 for twelve bucks total. They had a lot of the stand alone version of Rock Band and GH.
Went down stairs to the customer service and noticed that's where all of the new release games were. I picked up Resistance 2 for thirty bucks. They also had Prince of Persia, Fallout3 and a bunch of other newer games. Had plenty of Xbox360 games, tons of PS2, but only a few older PS3 games. Still a decent selection, but they didn't have Killzone, which is what I was really looking for...
They also had Arcade and Elite Xbox360's for 30 percent off. If they had a Pro, I probably would have grabbed it.

Pure $30
Far Cry 2 $30 (although I'm sure a ubiversal price drop for that game is coming soon.)
Conan $6
Crackdown $15
Call of Duty 2 $10
And all games in general are half off in the DC/Metro area. Both at Wheaton and PG Plaza.
Hopefully I can get UT3 for around $20 cuz I think thats all its worth. Unfortunately I can't find the first F.E.A.R. Also looking for another copy of Pure for cheaper so I can send it to my bro.

Went by two CC's. Virtually almost everything good was wiped out, but they both shared one trait: No one wanted Soul Calibur IV or Guitar Hero on Xbox 360.
All of the Rock Band stuff was gone, but they couldn't seem to sell any of the Guitar Hero stuff, even the ones that come bundled with guitars.
I did make off with a few nice goodies and was surprised at the prices of some things.
-Persona 3 FES ($8.98 - price tag had $29.99 on it)
-Animal Crossing City Folk ($25, regular edition without the Wii Speak)
-BioShock ($15 for PC - price tag said $39.99)
-Team Fortress 2 ($9.99 - price tag said $29.99)
Also got Rocky on DVD for $5. Saw a crap load of Devil May Cry 4 on the 360 in one store, and Final Fantasy IV DS hidden at another, but that was about it. I got excited when I saw the CE of Fallout 3 at one CC...but then I turned it around (front forward) and noticed it was for PC. So that bummed me out.
Another thing worth noting, since we're on the subject of ridiculous things to sell: I've seen both of the CCs I went to selling $5 pre-order cases of Spore and various other PC games.

i hadnt been to CC since they decided to close, and wow what a shock... place was half empty and the whole back was closed off... the pickings were few and far between, mainly there were an insane amount of GH3's for every system (maybe cuz they are charging $55 a piece) and a carpload of wii fit accessories... the games were 50% off but nothing was good that was left BUT i did find a LoZ: Phatom Hourglass in a box in the far corner...so i picked it up for $17.50, picked up a wii fit mat for $10.50 and a Energizer batter pak for the wii fit for $12... not too bad considering i realy wanted LoZ and i needed the other 2 for my new wii fit anyways
when do u guys think they will drop the GH games? 20% is dumb, they must think ppl will pay more for that crap but at $20-25 i'll pick one up

Fallout 3 and Bioshock where two games that were actually worth the full price if you ask me because of their story and game play. I bought the PC CE version at 50 in December and don't regret it on bit. That game has so much to offer that I am actually taking a break from it for a bit.
As for people buying 360's still...and shock to find them.... honestly I wouldn't touch them if they were not made after 10/2008....That's when the Jaspers officially went into the wild. I will feel safer with a Jasper than a Falcon anyday.

Good to know, thanks! Was the Resistance 2 the Collector's Edition???

So i know I been asking a lot about this butttttttttttt.......how much are the guitar hero 3 + WT bundles? I think I could head to my CC on wednesday or should I wait because i recalled someone said they might drop a little further.
Guitar Hero World Tour full bundles are $115, at least from what I saw on Friday. No idea on the Guitar Hero 3, but that shit is so old I wouldn't pay more than $20 for the bundle.

GH World Tour is not a hot seller, as you can see the price drops all over the place including at Best Buy. But a $119 or less for the full band set is a good deal. GH3/Aerosmith you should not pay more than $30-35 for game + guitar.
If you can find Rock Band 2 for that its even better which is a similar deal to the TRU steal back in December.
Also don't worry about it if you get a used/display set. RedOctane had a very liberal warranty replacement program.

that guy was obviously lying since I picked some up when the accessories (including point cards) hit 40%, they rang up with the discount and even had the price it would be discounted at on the shelf! probably just trying to save them for himself and the employees, lol!!! I went on Friday, and was stunned that the store was cleared out. Like a week before it looked almost normal. The PSP games have been almost totally cleared out since the beginning, but everything else looked pretty normal, for weeks and weeks and weeks...and then one week later it's cleaned out, half (at least) of the isles in the store are empty and cleaned out.
They had a TON of 360s left a week ago...I'm sort of thinking some group came through and bought up a ton of the store. I guess I should have jumped on stuff earlier.
And meanwhile, I *still* can't decide on Mirror's Edge or Farcry 2. Honestly $20 seems more appropriate for those games, given the mixed reviews.
I did pick up Stargate: Atlantis season 2 for half off...and got Hellgate: London for like $7.50! So not too terrible there.

30% off. So far the system discounts have been raising 5%. But who knows when they only have a few weeks left.
Any lot on an arcade over "845" **should** be a Jasper. There was a website with tons of help. Try to google "jasper hunter" and see if you can find the anatech forum topic on it.
The surest way is to check the 12 Volt rail on the back of the console it self. There should be an amperage , your looking for 12,1A or 12.1A, if you see 14.X then it's a falcon. You might have to tweak the cardboard a bit to see the plug end of the 360 inside the box.

Regarding Hellgate: London-remember their prices on games are usually wrong. I just bought it for $7.50 on Friday.
And Wolve, why wouldn't you buy it for $1? It got pretty good reviews. It's basically Diablo 3, and the idea of being able to (optionally) play one of those from a first person perspective, and (optionally) with guns, sounds cool to me.

70% on metacritic (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/hellgatelondon?q=hellgate) is pretty good? That's more like average. I tried the demo a while back and was not impressed at all. Hellgate is not even close to Diablo 3 considering the latter is under development at Blizzard (versus a dead company). I'd rather go back and play Diablo 2 while waiting for 3.

Average would be 50% on a lot of scales. You have to look at individual scores-Gameinformer and PC Gamer both gave it great reviews, as did plenty of other places.
Hellgate is not even close to Diablo 3 considering the latter is under development at Blizzard (versus a dead company). I'd rather go back and play Diablo 2 while waiting for 3.
Hellgate: London is more Diablo 3 than Diablo 3 ever will be. I mean even if Diable 3 ends up the better game, which it may or may not (certainly Hellgate seems far more ambitious from what I've heard of both so far), Hellgate: London is the true successor.

I should add-I mean I don't even know if I'll like the game, and I like Snowblind's hack clones better than Diablo. I don't even like Diablo 2-enjoyed the first one a lot more. But I see this as the same kind of arbitrary bashing as Haze and other games get. It's like there's this meme, and most people won't think for themselves and actually look at the game, they just regurgitate the meme.

It's not even CC at this point, it's the liquidators running the sales, so CC is innocent in this story.
As for the broken tv's, these sales are usually only good if you go in with the understanding that you may or may not get a deal on items.
If I were those people who bought the broken tv's though, I'd keep trying the manufacturer to get a replacement.
Although, those may have been broken intentionally by employees with some rough handling, since I'm sure more than a few of them were pissed off that they were losing their jobs very soon.
You just never know, but broken items DO happen, you just have to figure out a way to get it remedied.

Anybody have an idea what the approx. discount on laptop accessories is? Specifically, laptop bags/cases? There was one that I really liked, but at 40% off thought it was a little too much to replace the one I had. Would love it at 75% off.

I'm looking deals in the Indiana area. I went looking at my store in Terre Haute...nothing, nadda, there wasn't crap in the games. Almost all of the games were Sonic The Hedgehog, GH: World Tour/Aerosmith, and other crap games that I didn't want to spend 20-30$ on. If anyone wants to hook me up or point me in the direction of a good buy, I'd greatly appreciate it.

To whoever hooked me up with the Santa Monica information, a huge THANK YOU! Here is an update on that location, which still has a SHITLOAD of games, unfortunately it's far more quantity than quality at this point.
Highlights of the store after I left:
Resistance 2 CE = 1 copy
Saints Row CE X360 = 4 or 5 copies
Resistance 2 regular = 6 copies
Fallout regular PS3/X360 = 10 copies
C&C Red Alert X360 = 8 copies
Trauma Center 2 = 2 or 3 copies
Sonic Dark Brotherhood = 5 or 6 copies
Picked up the second to last copy of Resistance 2 Collector's Edition for $30 + tax. Marked $79.99 so that helped; I'm sure they'd be gone if people knew they were the same price as the regular game. A worker there had to pull them out of the case on the second floor - he took the other one downstairs to put it behind the counter in customer service. So hopefully it's still there if you go just for that. Just ask for it and say the manager brought it down for you and said it would be there in customer service.
I also picked up the last copy of Final Fantasy 6 for GBA, $8 + tax...this will go on my tradelist; I think someone here in this thread was looking for a copy. Or I may just hold on to it, keep it sealed, and sell it in a few years for insignificant gains.
Note that if you head to this location, take the 10 Freeway to the last exit before PCH (4th/5th) - take the 4th avenue branch of the exit and make a right onto 4th and head straight up 5 or 6 blocks, store will be on the northeast corner of 4th and Arizona. Address is 1251 4th Street, it's 1 block north of 4th and Santa Monica Blvd. Just park in one of the Santa Monica public parking structures; you get 2 hours free before 6 pm - there is one a little further up the block on 4th on the other side (west side) from the store.
Here are the highlights of the store:
Downstairs behind the Customer Service Counter: not much left, some copies of Fallout 3 for X360 and PS3, Command and Conquer X360, a few DS games but nothing caught my eye.
Upstairs in the glass case: maybe 5 or 6 copies of Saint's Row CE for X360, 5 or 6 copies of Resistance 2 regular version, 1 SOCOM PS3 bundle on top of the glass case. Bunch of shitty PS2 3 packs in the case. Other stuff, but nothing that caught my eye. TONS of PS2 games (500+) with some X360 and PS3 games mixed in on that row on racks, went through it but saw nothing of note. Absolutely nothing but shit. Maybe you'll get lucky and find something, I really didn't waste too much time.
Other side of that rack are the X360 and XBox games, TONS of games left, (500+) but again saw pretty much nothing noteworthy. Lots of guides, I priced the Metal Gear Solid 4 guide ($8) and the Oblivion Master Guide ($10) but that was more than I was looking to pay.
There's a standalone rack with some PSP games, nothing eyecatching.
The next row had maybe 25 Wii games, nothing of note except for Battalion Wars 2. Also easily HUNDREDS of Guitar Hero bundles, NOT the full World Tour though, looked like just literally ENDLESS stacks of GH3, GH Aerosmith, didn't waste my time looking at them though. Seriously, with the amount of these they had they should pay YOU to take them. Or maybe $20 for a PALLET of them.
DS and Gameboy Advance had another few hundred games. Only things noteworthy were 3 copies of Trama Center 2 and 5 or 6 copies of Sonic Dark Brotherhood - these were mixed in so look carefully if interested.
Then, between the game section and the DVD section, there were 4 or 5 dump bins filled with crap games. DVD section was well picked over but still had plenty of stuff, but lots of people were going through it. I didn't waste my time except for checking the Blu Ray section, still overpriced as fuck.
In the back of the second floor, past the games, they were starting to move all the broken down shelves, frames, etc. There was some standalone game demo thing, I think it was the DS demo station or download station. Didn't really look because I don't need or want one.

Does anyone know if systems are 50% off? My CC had tons of PS2s left last time I was there.
If you read the thread it is currently 30% off the systems. I'd be willing to bet that a good number of those systems are gone. Mine had 15 of each color (silver and black). Slowest moving CC near me, Last Thursday after the new drops, I head in (1 week later). They were down to 5 black systems left. The weekends are drawing large crowds as the discounts get deeper. The less stock they have the more thing are noticed that people didn't care about before. Not to mention last weekend was a government holiday. three day weekends bring big crowds.
the console discounts so far have been 10, 20, 25, 30 percent off. I suspect that the discount next drop (Thursday) will be 35%. They seem to be slowing down the discounts for certain hardware. This was the only 5% that I'm aware of for last week.
karkyco
02-23-2009, 05:47 PM
Yeah, at 30% off for systems, it seems to be the magic discount percentage that gets everything wiped out. No doubt because systems are so rarely discounted other than price drops that the general public rarely knows about.
Some people have reported dozens of PSPs and even some 360 Elites, Wiis, PS3s, DSes etc. - I tell you in LA, all I've seen are a few Arcade and Pros. Not even a single PS2. And once Thursday's 30% off hit, the 360 Arcades and Pros that were left were gone in a snap. I WISH I could find a store with some PSPs or PS2s at least, although I can find plenty of PS2 slims on craigslist for $20-30 a piece.

I have been around a few stores, spent some cash on mainly movies/TV series I have wanted but didnt want to pay the prices listed, so for new (cause used I could've gotten them at BBV or where ever) I went ahead and splurged some even though a couple could've been had slightly cheaper, had I waited until the next drop or two, but I really wanted to watch them. Curse me for not being the hardline CAGer I am and splurging some . Although the wife did help push me into getting them now instead of waiting... but still...
On that note, I picked up Star Ocean PSP for $18
...not great in my mind but decent since I have always wanted to play it but never have.
Also GUN 360 for $4
Stranglehold 360 for $10
Still thinking about some of the other newer games like FC2, Silent Hill....but havent bit yet at 30.

Did I mention lately how much I fuckin' hate these liquidation assholes?
I went to check on the powerline adapter kit I left there last week, which was marked either $42 or $45 last week.
Apparently, someone must've looked up the orignial price in the system finally, since it went UP to $50 with the % off(50%).
What a bunch of ripoff artists these liquidators are.
Even funnier is that they handed me an 'additional 10% off' coupon when I was walking in the store, only good for today, which would've made the kit the SAME PRICE it was LAST week. As I'm walking back out, I'm asked for the thing back, since I hadn't used it.
I asked why and was told 'because they're not allowed to leave the store'. There were quite a few scattered all around the store, so chances are no one wanted a 2-3 disc deluxe DVD set of Hancock, which they STILL have 100-200 copies of.
I just wanted a free memento of Circuit City's dying days, to go along with my shopping bag collection from Ames, Hills, Woolworth's and other closed chains. Oh well, no big loss anyway.

Another CAGer from RI here too. North Attleboro, MA CC was picked clean as well.
Confirmed. : / Very little left, all the good PS2 stuff they had maybe 1-2 weeks ago is gone.
They do still have GHIII guitar/game bundles for $40 something, 1 Prince of Persia (360), and leftover PC stuff, most of which is overpriced to begin with. The only PC games I'd say are good deals that I noticed were the Diablo and Warcraft III battlechests, marked $20, $10 is nice for those quality games.
There is a copy of Hellgate: London collector's edition(lol) for anyone who happens to be an avid fan of that, or just want to collect it.
I'll be checking out the Seekonk store one last time if they cut the prices again, otherwise I think I'm done...

Woot I think I got that last copy of Resistance 2 Collector's Edition behind the customer service counter at the Santa Monica store!!! :D
They had many copies of the regular version at the Torrance store on Friday, and I had no clue that the discount had just increased to 50%. I hesitated on buying the game and came back Sunday night and of course the store was cleaned out... really like they had less than 10% of the games left. Luckily reading the CAG forums and my hope of getting a copy was reignited when I read that there were copies in Santa Monica! I only saw this copy available when I got there, and was so thankful it rung up at only $30!
Thanks fellow CAG'rs who updated on the Santa Monica store!

A CC near my house has nothing good left except SC4 for 40% off, most video games are gone except for lame stuff no one would usually pick up even for 1$. Rosedale, MN CC had fuckall. If you want Warhammer or WoW, they have about 20 copies of each. They still had 40 copies of Guitar Hero World Tour for $120. TVs marked down to 30%, still above most other places...
They do have 3-4 360 arcades for $140 and 7-8 PSP 2000s for $120.

I wouldn't bother myself with Seekonk. It half (or more) closed off with yellow tape last Friday, I would think it's more than gone now.
When I was there, there was one 360 GH: WT bundle (the big box) but I would think it'd be gone by now. It had some GH stuff and some PS2 game. And oh yeah, 2 PS3 Fallout 3 CE, 1 PC Fallout 3 CE, at least 5 Prince of Persia 360, some Last Remanants and Infinate Undiscoveries.
Still... nothing really worth it. Unless you want the Fallout 3.

Just thought I'd mention that for some unknown reason, people at my store (Cary, NC) actually bought the 20 - 30 copies of Guitar Hero Aerosmith (360) over the weekend. At around $50.00, it really wasn't a deal, so I'm surprised so many people bit. The same game sat on the clearance end cap at the Target 2 mins away until 75% off and yet they all sold out at 40% off at CC. Go figure.

Stopped in to my local CC (Yonkers, NY). The place was pretty barren with literally 20 games left and a ton of guitar hero 3/aerosmith bundles at $42 which is still more than Best Buy. Also they had a ton of extra guitars at $23. Nothing really noteworthy other than the 2 Fallout 3 CE left for the PC. Oh and I picked up a cd for $3.50 which is better than Amazon prices for it counting shipping. The place was a wreck though and at least half the isles were taped off. I don't know how they will make it to the projected close date of March 23. I overheard 2 associates talking about it.

Dude, that didn't work for this liquidation unless you could somehow hide them on top of the ceiling tiles - the workers were breaking down the shelving units as they went (and moving hidden items back to their correct spot), and trust me, with the amount of people going through the stores anything you'd hide WOULD be found.

Swung by a couple CCs on my road trip to San Antonio over the weekend. Anyone looking for Fallout 3 CE for PC can pick up one of the hundred they had in stock at the CC across from North Star Mall. I saw about three console games there but hundreds of PC games including the Orange Box for $15.
The CC off of IH 35 and loop 1604 is thread bare, I saw one PC and one console game on the racks but still had a handful of GH III sets.
Finally the CC off of IH 35 in New Braunfels had half a rack of games, nothing noteworthy other than the new PoP and they were the only store I came across that has PSPs in stock.
This morning I swung by the CC off of Preston rd and 121 in Frisco and they had the most video games left of any store I've visited in a week. But what they had in quantity didn't make up for quality. According to an associate there some 200 refurbished Xbox 360 were being distributed in the Dallas area so buyer beware.

I called tonight and the guy said they had some of each, but no pro's. So I do not know the amount that they have but I guess as of 7pm tonight, they still had an Elite. It's at 30 percent off I guess. If I could guarantee a Jasper, I'd gank one, but I haven't heard of any Elites with a Jasper at all. I may go back and gank an Arcade and just upgrade the HD on it.

Hey i was also at the CC in San Antonio opposite North Star, i picked up Far Cry 2, Prince of Persia, and Quantum of solace, for $25 each, all PC. i was going to pick up Fallout 3 CE PC, and L4D but there were so many that i decided to wait for a price drop, basic supply and demand.
I am very impressed by POP so far, and the visuals are stunning. Just beat QOS and the game is ugly in some parts and gorgeous in others. Health drains too quickly for a game that is cover based.

the console discounts so far have been 10, 20, 25, 30 percent off. I suspect that the discount next drop (Thursday) will be 35%. They seem to be slowing down the discounts for certain hardware. This was the only 5% that I'm aware of for last week.
So the next drop is Thursday? Is that across the country?

Thanks for the tip on the Wheaton, MD store (Silver Spring). They have about 10 Xbox Elites left @ 280 each.
They have the 2 free holiday games but they are not newer Jasper chipsets. MFG date of my system is Feb 08 (Jasper is approx Oct 08 and onward). CC must've been sitting on these things for awile. Regardless, I'm still happy.
Nothing else notable @ Wheaton though. Couple of decent Pioneer & JVC HD radios starting at $60 new, other than that lots of Guitar Hero and stuff.

I got both those from CC last week for 50% off except my PoP was for 360. Anyway, I have to agree with you about PoP. I was hesitant to buy the game at full price but I wouldn't have been disappointed if I did. Very fun game. Haven't played QoS yet but I have a feeling $25 was too much. :D

Went to the Hialeah, FL store yesterday and it's pretty much been picked clean. Didn't see any PS3/Wii games, and only a handful of 360 games (only decent game being Soul Calibur 4). Still a decent amount of DS games and GH3 bundles. I had gone there last week and there was still a decent amount of stuff, so I was shocked to see it so empty this week. I spoke to an employee to see what had happened (I used to work there about a year ago so I got the truth) and apparently they had shipped most of the game dept. to stores who were selling the merchandise faster.

I picked up a Rock Band 2 drum kit at a Pittsburgh-area Circuit City at 40% off last night ($54+tax), which was decent. There was only one left after the one I bought. The fact that they had a pricing sign right in front of them that was obviously for something else claiming they were $111 or something probably helped me out. There was still quite a bit of Guitar Hero World Tour stuff there, if it drops low enough I might pick something up.
Anyone know what the final close date is for these stores (is it even consistent across the chain)?

yeah my CC in Raleigh NC (capital blvd.) had all there games wiped out except for one good game Grid. I will go back on Thursday to get a cable modem for my 360 if that store is still open. I figure I can just by a modem for the 360 for $30 instead of the $100 wireless adapter.

To add to what Pheran said. The modems are accounted for in the cable system. You have to give it the modem number and have the cable system address it. You will have to pay a monthly fee for the modem. You can have more then one modem in a house. But they charge the same price as the other modem a month.
If you have access to a Fry's, they sell a generic bridge for $45 that works for the 360.

I'm pretty perturbed about these claims that the liquidators are using the MSRP as their starting point.
I have been interested in a few MP3 cases. CC has them marked at 29.99. And yet, the manufacturers own website has the MSRP marked at 19.99.
I am thinking the liquidation company is basically making up numbers as they go.
This Liquidation has been a complete joke.

Of course, in stores, that's how it is.
Most Liquidations are exactly like that!
They are trying to FOOL dumb people into thinking it's actually a great deal and buy them. There are a tons of shoppers out there really DON'T do their homework, research!
They will take as long as it takes to go down to a Real good deal!
At 50%, a lot of stuff are actually decent, but 10-40% nah it's just not good enough... but a LOT of customers still think they are.
One thing I've learned is that people Generally have NO patience whatsoever, and they might think in their heads "This deal maybe isn't all that" but they Aren't sure, and afraid it might be sold out next time they go in, so they had to get it! I mean, I feel exactly the same way a lot of time, BUT the difference between me and many others is that I DO MY research/homework to make SURE the deal is as low as it Can get!

She looked irritated to have to wait in line so I didn't want to just start talking to her. However, at one point she asked the linekeeper how long it'd be until we were let in. When she came back to the line, I asked her what the guy had said. She kinda half turned my way, and said, "it won't be too long". Had she been friendlier and not irritated, I would've started small talk but usually I don't like bothering celebs.
And yes, at one point I did find myself staring at her assets since I had a nice view from where I was standing :D

Stopped for the first time since the Clearance began and the selection was awful. Not only that, but they had an entire aisle dedicated to car parts. I'm in the Blu-ray aisle and turn around. And I'm thinking, this is some cool looking PC hardware. WTF am I looking at? Then I read the package and it says it's a Turbo Kit for some car. And the rest of the aisle are parts kits for cars. I've seen some pathetic clearance jobs, but that one definitely wins the trophy.

If I were the employees at corporate, after being laid off, I would just buy all this stuff myself at 90% off and sell it on eBay (I'm talking about the nice man at corporate who just eyeballs the price of stuff and it always ends up being 90% off), not pretty much give it away to a stranger who wanders into the office.
Did CC Corp. have security? I would assume that with all that stuff there to sell and being that everyone was being let go, security would have been a given. Seems like a real breach of security to just allow random people in and have random people running out with armfuls of stuff.

I've run into her a few times over here on Beverly Drive - at Mulberry Street Pizza and the original CPK, and Starbucks. Went today again to the CC in Pembroke Pines, FL and the one in Aventura, FL... Pembroke Pines is bare as hell, not much in the way of anything and plenty of open game packages... i suppose the thieves had a field day there as most of their stuff wasn't secured in cases or anything. Aventura is looking better with a bunch of resistance 2(ps3) left for half off and a few saint's row(ps3). Tho, 2 days ago the CC in ne 17th street in Ft Lauderdale was the place to be... They had all kinds of collector's editions for fallout, saint's row, gta.. all for 50% off the list price of the regular editions. My intake over the past 4 days was very good:
Aventura:
Persona 3 ps2 FES 9.90
Saint's Row ps3 CE 30.00
Fallout 3 ps3 CE 30.00
WC3 Battlechest 20.00
Left4Dead PC 22.48
Ft. Lauderdale:
GTAIV xbox360 CE 30.00
Europa Universalis PC 8.20
Pembroke Pines:
The Orange Box PC 13.50
Universe At War PC 9.00
I plan on going back every so often because im still in the market for a decent TV.

LOL, don't ask me, I'm not the one who reported it. I was just verifying that from what I've seen of her in person, she's definitely got an air about her, as in, she's obviously a stuck up bitch.
And sure she's made a few movies, but that doesn't mean she got paid much. I doubt the cast of the American Pie movies really got all that much of the profit or decent contracts, since they were virtually all unknown, and with such a big group no one can claim a dominant role...hell, she was only on screen maybe 10-15 minutes in the first 2 movies. Though she did show that spectacular body in the first one.
can't recall what else she's done since, that one horror movie 13 Ghosts I think, but really, she's a 1 trick pony. BTW when I saw her at Mulberry, she was picking up a pie, impatient as hell, bitching at the guy why it was taking so damn long, and ended up getting into a 525 BMW. Pretty pathetic ride if she has all that money. Couldn't she at least get a top of the line 5 series?
