Thats not that great of a deal. When they are on sale at Best Buy or wherever theyr'e $15.00. So I think I will hold off for now on these. Thanks anyways.
Well, it's still cheaper and I get it now rather than waiting for Best Buy to go on sale so works out for me. Sides, I don't got cable at my house so I could really use somethin to watch, haha.
King of Queens was $10, wooo!

That's cool; glad you found something. And thanks for the feedback. Guess I'll skip those now. Still might stop by La Cienega as didn't have a chance yesterday. But I'm pretty certain it's closed.
That's impressive that SM had no more games. As of two days ago they had at least two stand-alone racks filled front and back with next-gen games, and almost as many last gen titles.
I was at Santa Monica this morning, they had the best selection of games I've seen in a SoCal CC, actually. Unfortunately I really didn't have a lot of time to browse them as I was already late for work. Not TONS and not too many recent releases (although I did see a few of the obligatory SCIV and POP for the 360) but they had a fairly good selection for DS (including 2 Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQs ;) ) and 360 games. Not much for Wii (although I did get Battle of the Bands for $6, and I saw a Batallion Wars 2) or PS3 or PSP.
Those 2 racks are still there, maybe a bit thinner, but they're there.

Just got back from Lexington Ky (Hamburg) store and no game systems left and a few ps2/ original xbox games and GH areosmith left but NOTHING else. Did pick up a copy of MS equip for the MS refund (Thanks to OP for the info). Otherwise, a very sad few trips for me. Scored 1 BR, 1 Cable modem (paid via reward points) and 1 software. also had a sign for "10 days left".
FYI, tons of GH stuff but nothing else...................... unless you want a $30 used component cable.

Thanks Justin. Maybe money just meant that there were no games he wanted. I didn't see any I wanted for the discount in effect when I was in there, but I might consider more now. Did you see Silent Hill: Homecoming?

Yeah, my bad, I should have been clearer. There was crap for PS3 games (they had one copy of End War, lots of All Pro Football, some Transformers, one copy of Golden Axe Beast Rider, and some NFL Tours), they had a good amount of X360 games but as for which ones, I have no idea. They also had a decent amount of PS2 games.
Some guy hid Wipeout Pulse upstairs for the PSP and I almost bought it cause I hate it when people hide things from people who are willing to buy the game now in hopes for a better deal later and Wipeout is a fun game but I said fuck it and decided not to.

No prob. Yeah, more disarray than usual. Hard enough to find stuff without having to search every corner. Anyway, not sure I'll bother now. But thanks.

Bad news for any NYC CAGS; the Circuit City's in 44th and 5th Ave, Union Square and 80th and Broadway have no games at all;they're gone. I suspect that the one in Lincoln Triangle is completely sold out of games too. Unless anybody wants copies of NFL Tour for 360,TDK Blu-rays, and Rappala Fishing for Wii.
I thought I saw a bunch of Guitar Heroes still left.

Went to the one in Cheektowaga, NY not expecting much and came out with nothing. They had a bunch of newer 360 games like Prince of Persia and Far Cry 2 for $24 new, but nothing for PS3 (I expected it to be the other way around).
Other than that it mostly shitty accessories, overpriced TVs and DVDs, and a craptacular selection of PC software.

i found a stash of video games, movies (black sheep/tommy boy for $6, and chucky 2-4 for $4).. actually a few.. and a t.i. 89 for 30% off.. was gonna hide a mount, but didn't think the additional 10 bucks off from 35 wasn't worth it..

White Plains NY store: 9 days left sign is up in the front.
Games left: 2x Fallout 3 PC Lunchbox, a few sports games, Guitar hero stuff, some GTA3, and other very random (worthless) games.

Alright, I waved Champaign's Circuit City adieu today. Grabbed the last 360 game, Rockstar Table Tennis for $8 and the new Indiana Jones movie 2 disc for $12. The place was already being gutted in the back, insulation hanging off the walls and crap like that.
How ironic. I almost bought that same exact copy of TT last night. Instead walked out with a Blu Ray and a couple of other DVDs. Indiana Jones and Vantage Point were the big holdovers on DVD. Oh and the craptacular Bruce and Lee spinoff.

The best thing I've experienced during this whole liquidation was at the Atlantic Terminal CC in Brooklyn. I found a HUGE pile of merch hidden in one of the shelves by the camera section, and I hear somone yell "NOOO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!" I turn to look and see a female CC employee. I got all flustered thinking maybe they were there b/c of something to do with the store....Nope...A few minutes later as I'm rounding the store one last time I hear this same employee talking to her fellow employee's saying how she can't wait to cash in on all the things she's stashed away.
WOW. And to think I actually felt bad thinking I was doing something wrong. The witch was hiding it for herself.

Yea, you have to wonder that. And to answer the previous post, I thought about doing that but I don't think there was anything great in her stash. I also didn't feel like wasting my money to prove a point to her, but man, I would have loved to.

As mentioned earlier, the CC at Sawgrass is good for people wanting Halo 3 and Guitar Hero. It's sad when all the video games are on one endcap ... and not even the entire endcap (the other half was game guides). There was a sign today saying 9 days left so if you guys want DVD's (quite a lot of ECW DVD's, Wrestlemania DVD's, and Office Space DVD's here), it's the only reason to go.
How many days are left at the Pembroke Pines and Aventura locations? I was planning on checking them out tomorrow.

I came across one copy yesterday and took it up for a price check. It came to $24 and I was considering it, but the other games came to $6 or $7 so I passed.
I think all games should be under $20 considering the liquidation. I offered to put it back on the stand for the clerk, but she said she can do it and through it on a pile behind the counter.
I heard there's no point to visit the one in Torrance, but I'm in the area and will drop by and see.

Yay it seemed kinda bogus anyway. However, I did stop by the Huntington Beach, CA and there's a sign when you walk in saying "Last 10 Days!", so we wouldn't see 90% until closer to that date.

I think I did my last CC run. The second to last time, I came out with nothing. This time I picked up Guitar Hero World Tour wireless guitar + game bundle (360) for $50 (50% off) (because I only had wired guitars before and don't have that game). There is only one left of this bundle. (They still have a ton of other Guitar Hero/Rock Band accessories -- especially PS3). They literally have five 360 games left. Got Guitar Hero Aerosmith for $16 (60% off). I was tempted for Tomb Raider Underworld (360) for $24, but there are ton of Tomb Raider Underworld copies at Target clearance for $30 and will drop to $15 before they sell out. This was Santa Rosa, CA.

That's always been my go to Circuit City for clearance games. I don't know if it's because of the difficult parking or what, but the Santa Monica CC always had good clearance games a lot longer than other stores. I'll proably check it out after work to see what they have.

About four days ago I went to cc to see if i could get any good deals. The store was basically empty. The only thing that caught my eye was star ocean 1 for the psp and phoenix wright: justice for all. The games where at 50% off then so i decided to wait till they dropped more. well today i went again since now they are at 60% off and the stack of SO psp was gone. I bought the last pheonix wright game. When the cashier ranged it up, it came out to be $4.13 with tax. The cashier was suprised as so was i lol. the only thing i noticed worth while today was GH3 bundles for $35, they weren't there a few days ago.

Silverdale, WA is Sports Games (90% PS2) and Age of Conan (They had two Sub cards).
They only had a Canon 40D, and about 2 dozen movie titles. CD's Left were classic, and Rap. Mix and Match cables and TV remotes. A Mitsubishi 46" LCD. Madden Game Guide, Too Human Guide, and Age of Conan Guides.
Anybody have knowledge, Guess or insight into the Flash Memory Prices. IT was Marked at 40% (Didn't ask for lookup). Do we know or guess that this might be good for the 90% off? Tacoma had 12 or so of the 8GB MS Pro PSP sticks. That would not be bad for under $30 (70%).
This store is also closing on Sunday and had the same Friday Up to 70%, Sat 80%, Sun 90%.

berwyn, il store has a bunch of pc games left and that's about it. Saw a couple of ps2 games and someone grabbed the last ps3 game (pure). the only fairly decent pc games was a orange box (which i thought of picking up but didn't??) and quntam of solace! did see some wireless sensor bars and wii speak for the Wii (duh). some other ps3 accessories but didn't look close enough to see specifically. The only 360 accessories I saw were the wireless adapters. good amount of dvd's but mostly hancok and step up 2 or steppin 2, not really sure what the title was but it was something I would never watch!

My CC had nothing other than still overpriced TVs, wires ($20 for a 6 ft HDMI cable after discount?), a few PC parts, printers, and a couple of display laptops and PCs. They had a lot of DVDs and CDs still but most of it was crap. The only games they had left were a few PC titles (Conan, one Red Alert 3, a few others) and some crap sports titles for the PSP and 360.
*sigh* This was my last visit to a Circuit City. I'll miss the place... their clearance games were a godsend for me... they were about the only deals I was ever able to take advantage of.

Unless you looking for Guitar Hero 3 for Xbox or PS3 there is nothing left in the Manhattan NYC store. There are only a hand full of PC games like RB6, Turok and Conon MMORPG. Other than that the store is pretty sad looking. If the % goes up again next week I may pick up another keyboard and mouse since I still see a bunch lay around.

I was just at the Circuit City in Lake Forest, CA. They have 8 copies of Fallout 3 CE for PC left. They're all up next to the register on a table opposite the cashiers.

I went early Thursday morning to the Hialeah one and they had 1 Guitar Hero World Tour game only for the Xbox 360. It was hidden in between some Guitar Hero Aerosmiths. I guess it did not last till today. They also had 3 guitar bundles the week before, but they were gone.

That's hilarious. But it makes me wonder why she couldn't just find someplace in the back of the store to hide it where customers can't go.
The employees have to hide the merch without their managers knowing just like the customers do. They work for the liquidators and they wouldn't take kindly to managers allowing employees to put merch in employee only areas. I talked to some employees who had hid a huge stash inside the walls of the audio room only to have the walls ripped down soon after the sale started. I think people have stated earlier that nothing is managing to stay hidden during this liquidation.
To anyone thinking about buying demo units and kiosks, you can't. The dude who has the dreamcast one actually bought a CC owned shelf, not a Sony owned kiosk. The kiosks have to be returned to their respective manufacturers. I only know this because I found the DS Download Station at my CC and I tried to buy it. I got a lengthy explanation on why it was being "held back" despite the signs saying "Nothing Held Back."

went to my store today, tucson, az wetmore, and pretty much nothing is left, no games whatsoever besides 2 wii games, a few TNA impact games, and probably like 6 copies of guitar hero aerosmith. Aparently they close tomorrow and they still had some pc/laptops left but horribly discounted, the whole store was 40-70% off but the PC/Laptop were all 20%, most of them not even worth it because it tells you for the display ones what they are missing... I'm still going by tomorrow hoping there's a decent discount on whatever is left. Worst liquidation ever.

In the Boca Raton Circuit City, inside whats left of one of the Audio rooms in the center of the store is a large box of the Limited Edition of Halo 3, new ones to boot (Or at least they sort of seem new, plastic wrap is in bad shape, but they don't say used.) The CC I visited today had nothing but sports games and GH Aerosmith. It reeked of something resembling flatulence, and the scene reminded me of those videos where a swarm of insects that looks like a moving black cloak sweeps across the earth and leaves nothing but sticks and bones.

This store is also closing on Sunday and had the same Friday Up to 70%, Sat 80%, Sun 90%.
Is that on everything in the store each day? my cc still has a good slection of tv's in the box. if I could pick up a tv at 80% off that would be sweet. yes I know there over priced but still 80% off should be a deal. I have all ready checked out the prices of tv's so that I can tell if its a deal or not.

I don't know 100% I didn't ask. The sign used the same wording that they use now, so it's not store wide. The sign clearly said "up to 70% off", "Up to 80% off", etc.. So there will be items that are less then that discount. My question is what would be at the 90% off. There were are few on here that went to CompUsa and said the last few hours it was massive discounts, but not until then. So Sunday mid day-afternoon would be the largest discounts in my opinion. But I don't know about your stores, but there isn't anything really left at mines but cables and install stuff from the "Road Shop".
I saw someone get kicked out for opening up a box for one of those fireproof safes. The customer was talking trash to the employees asking for their names. God forbid they get fired!
All 3 of the CC I have been to have signs posted every where that state "Do not Open Boxes/Packages". The person broke the rules, I would have them escorted out of the store too once they were trash talking.

It's BS and complete LIE!!!

Circuit City:
Xbox 360:
Devil May Cry 4 - $16
Guitar Hero World Tour Game - $24
GH Aerosmith game - $16
Gamestop:
Pride FC complete - $8 (best MMA game to date, personal want, not a great deal necessarily, but it's excellent condition like it wasn't played).
Would it be worth it to go back for Prince of Persia? Their retail was still $60 at CC which would be $24 (60% off games)
Same deal for Soul Caliber IV - which they had a ton of for 360, like at least 15 for 360 and 4-5 for PS3. Would those be easy flips or no?

I just checked the CC in Conshohocken, PA. The games section was closed and mixed in with DVDs and music CDs were some PC games. Interestingly, I did see a lone PS2 game among the dregs of the PC gaming universe: Manhunt 2. No reason to go to this CC unless you need a Wii Balance Board skin.

AMHERST, NY - Niagara Falls Boulevard location
The only stuff they had of note were...
GAMES:
Guitar Hero 3 Guitar/game kit, all platforms, but mostly 360. These may last to the next markdown, I snagged one for $35
Several copies of Warhammer Online
A couple of copies of Age of Conan and a time card.
And that's it. Nothing else of note. A dew crap PC games, and literally only two game only copies of GH: Aerosmith.
DVDs
You're in luck if you like Stargate SG1 - they have a ton of boxed sets left, looked like every season, at $16 each.
They also have Rescue Me, did not note the season
And King of Queens, but why the hell would you want that?
A few other random titles, nothing that looked especially good.
OTHER:
A few dozen XM Radios. These will likely last to the next clearance stage, I'd guess. So if you've been thinking of giving the service a try, now might be the time.
A decent selections of digital picture frames remained as well.

Yeah my CC had lots of Guitar Hero stuff left too. Seems most at my closest store are smart shoppers because everyone was looking at the Guitar Hero stuff but not buying. $35 for GH 3+kit isn't bad, but not a very big discount either since Best Buy has them for $40.
The annoying thing is any of this stuff they don't sell to the public, they'll likely sell to another retailer at the price we're actually wanting. Just quit being douches already and lower it to at cost.

Games were still marked 50% off, but it was sort of moot since the only thing left of note was a maybe a dozen PC games (about half of those Warhammer), and a ton of Guitar Heroes. Tucson, AZ | Broadway - Today is the last day it will be open!
I went yesterday night and they were completely cleaned out of anything worthwhile.
Games: Only 5 games total on the shelves. They were all shit.
Strategy Guides:
Only 60% off. Most were originally $19.99 and rang up as $8 after discount. Here's what was left.
Title - Quantity
Dead Space - 1
Far Cry 2 - ~5
Lego Indiana Jones - 1 (the cover was ripped up)
Ninja Gaiden II - 1 (I picked up the other)
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - 2 (the cover was ripped up)
Too Human - 2
PC Games: Shit load of The Sims [insert expansion pack name here] + TurboTax software.
Blu-Rays: Mainly just triple-pack bundles of Invincible and 2 other movies.
DVDs: A few Smallville season 4 and 5 bundles. Only one Damages season 1 or 2 bundle. A few copies of Hancock. Some cheap horror DVDs. Not much worth looking at.
CD-Rs/DVD-Rs: They had a ton of these. Think they were 60% off.

I went to the Aventura,FL store this afternoon and they had "9 days" signs posted. Their selection of games were limited, but it was much better than Sawgrass (unless you want an Office Space DVD, avoid Sawgrass). I'm pretty sure I saw GH: World Tour and Rock Band for the PS2 there marked $49.99 (1 or 2 left). They had one Animal Crossing Wii game (which was the only game locked in a glass case) and some old Xbox 360 games like Madden 2007. They had over 5 rows of DVD's (movies and TV shows) packed into the aisle so I ended up buying six DVD's for $36. Make sure you guys check the DVD aisles because I found games hidden within those racks like Lego Batman, Sly Cooper 3, and Thrillville. They had 3 registers open including a "Cash Only" line which made for a very short wait. Of course it would be shorter if the staff didn't force people to wait in the same lines to check a price. I asked the cashier when the next discount will be and she said Thursday. I'm thinking of heading back then for some WWE DVD's and GH: Rock the 80's if the one copy is still available.
Speaking of Rock the 80's, the Pembroke store (also with "9 days" signs) I visited next was selling GH guitar packs that had Rock the 80's included (it had a "Game Included" sticker over the "game sold separately" box printing). I was hoping it would be $20, but it scanned at $35. Again, the usual Wii Fit mats and GH packs with more games than Sawgrass. Expect long lines here even though they didn't have a good selection of DVD's either (they had tons of Hancock and Step Up 2 DVD's).
I wasn't focusing on TV's but it seemed like Aventura once again had more than Pembroke.

Some people are apparently reporting games are going to drop to 70% tomorrow (Sunday).
This is great news for me, since the guys that work in the warehouse of my store just "found" an entire case of games in the back. That means numerous copies of PoP, Resistance 2, Mirrors Edge, CoD: WaW, Fallout 3, and others.
If it really does drop to 70%, then I am going to pick up Mirrors Edge and Fallout 3 Collectors Edition tomorrow for $18 a piece.

What's stopping the employees from just taking everything?
It's not like a dissolved corporate entity can press charges on assets it doesn't own anymore. Although, I suppose the liquidators could...
You mean besides our own consciences?
Really though, it's not Circuit City's stuff anymore, it's the liquidators. That being said, just because CC doesn't own it, doesn't mean it still isn't stealing. The liquidators are apparently prosecuting anyone they find shoplifting to the fullest extent possible.
I originally worked in a store that was closed early, and I just recently transferred to this other local store. In my original store I think pretty much every employee stole at least something. I know of only three (myself included) who didn't take anything. We aren't talking small stuff either, we are talking PS3s, camcorders, and whatever else you can think of. We estimate that one guy took close to $12k worth of stuff.
As for picking extra copies up, I'd be up for that, although I can probably only get a few copies, as cash is starting to get a little tight. If you want anything, then you need to send me a PM before around 11 tomorrow, as I'll be gone after that with no way to check my PMs. I'd prefer if you had at least some kind of iTrader feedback, but we'll see how things go.

Everything is for sale, including those plasma TV mounts they had.. unfortunately someone already picked them up in my store.. kinda mad about that considering my old boss was gonna give me one for free but I turned him down cuz I thought he was gonna get in trouble..

Fashion Island at CC at Newport Beach, CA had a ton of Prince of Persia, Silent Hill and Condemned 2 for 360. It didn't seem as picked over as some of the other ones.
Overly exaggerated only 9 copies of PoP, 3 Silent Hill, and 7 Condemned 2. But he did forget to mention that they had 19 copies of SCIV.

Went to the Pasadena CC for the last time.
No PS2, PSP, PS3, DS, or Wii games at all. Not even Wii Guitar Hero kits. They did have quite a few GH World Tour guitar kits for PS2 and PS3 but I was looking for either the Wii or 360 editions. They did have some Rock Band 2 guitars as well as GH III and GH Aerosmith kits. Only 360 games I saw were GH Aerosmith, NFL Tour and like 2 Dark Sectors. Already have Dark Sector so there was nothing of interest to me. Quite a few PC games left though and the DVDs and Blu Rays are getting cleaned out. Ended up getting The New and Improved DX DVD, Summerslam 07 and Bangkok Dangerous for $30 total. Sad to see CC go now. Despite everyone else's stories with bad customer service, they always seemed to help me whenever I needed it. Now to look on Amazon or eBay for good deals on either Rock Band 2 or World Tour.

I know there's some CAGs from Illinois, but just to warn ya, Schaumburg CC has next to nothing for Games or DVDs. All I saw there were $20 Les Paul controllers (which to some is a deal), wired X-Plorers for $27, GHIII for $50, 1 copy of Spiderwick Cronicals for PS2, and 1 copy of 2004 NCAA Gamebreaker for PS2.
Otherwise, lots of $1300 Panasonic TVs, lots of rap CDs, a few cartoon DVDs, and dirty laptops. Pretty much similar to what many of the CCs in previous posts.

All my local Circuit City (Union Square, NYC) has left are a few copies of NFL Tour (360), Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 2 (PS3), and Rapala Tournament Fishing (Wii).
Over the course of the clearance, I did manage to get:
- Fallout 3 Collector's Edition Guide @ 40% off
- Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney @ 30% off (Twas the last copy)
- "Heaven Tonight" by Cheap Trick, "Dig Out Your Soul" by Oasis, and "Snakes & Arrows Live" by Rush @ 60% off
It was pretty surreal going in there every other day, just to see a new section of the store empty and closed off. I never even bought anything from there before the liquidation clearance started though.

60 at both, but plantation is picked dry pretty much. and pines is even worse... you MIGHT be able to still find games at platnation, but dont bother with pines, NOT A THING left there.
Yep, I just went to the Pines store yesterday and there was NOTHING for Xbox 360 or PS3.
Funny though cause 2 1/2 weeks ago rite before valentine I picked up Fall Out 3 for like $41.00 + tax and they had several games left, several....... I always meant to go back, but when I did it was like a hurricane passed through there............
All good, I must say Fall Out 3 is an amazing game, if you do not have it buy it.
This is coming from someone who does not really like rpgs and did not like any of the elder scrolls games. The closest rpg I can even think that I liked was Shenmue for the dreamcast......
Fallout 3 is amazing, my recent purchase Killzone 2 has left me very upset though :(

Well I picked up a couple of VGA extension cables. It was the ones that they used for their monitors and now I have cable to spare to hook up to my TV :D
now I can play all my PC games in beautiful 32" HD goodness
I got it for roughly $9 with tax BUT they also had those THICK HD component cables that they use for their HDTVs for sale. I think the guy in front of me got one for around $5. I mean these things made monster cables look like Toby Maguire standing next to Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Edit: BTW has ANYBODY in the southern cali area, specifically the inland empire, been able to find a copy of Fallout 3 for PC? I almost want to drive to Moreno Valley or the high desert just so I can actually get a copy somehow.

All you S. Florida CAGs don't forget the CC in Ft. Lauderdale NE 17th street... I went there on Friday, and saw a glass case still packed with things like Mirror's Edge, 1 Fallout CE for PC, and assorted other games like Devil May Cry 4 CE. There were others i cant think of off the top of my head but hey, they seem to have had a lot of stock over the course of the whole clearance. When I asked someone in Aventura CC why they had so much stock, the guy said that it was probably because they closed the stores in Puerto Rico first and that a lot of the stock got shipped so S. Flo. Then because the Ft. Lauderdale was pretty close to a port the merchandise was easier to ship there. Don't know how true that is but that store was a gold mine for 360 games over the course of the clearance for me.

I have a feeling that they cut some deal with some outside group to buy up all the stock. I say this because I was in there 4-5 days earlier and they had TONS of games left for all systems, including newish releases like FALLOUT 3, Res. 2, POP, Gears 2, Etc....

CC at the Parks Mall, Arlington TX has been stripped bare - the only games they have left a couple of copies of 'The Simpsons Game' for the 360 and about 15 copies each of 'GH 3: Legends of Rock' for the 360/PS3 - that cost $35. They also have about 10 of each of just the wireless guitar for 'GH 3' for $20.

yeah, could be.
Thing is, I went in there 4-5 days earlier while the clearance sale was already going (at 40% off), and they still had entire huge sections for each system that were fully stocked. I had gone in there a week before that, and there was almost no change.
so the timeline is, in mid feb they have tons and tons of games, each with their own dedicated sections, a week later they have the same fully stocked game section with the same top flight selection.. then a few days later literally EVERY SINGLE copy of EVERY SINGLE game is gone and the shelves are completely bare?
I mean, there was absolutely nothing left, just empty shelves.
The PC games section was still completely stocked with tons of copies of newer games
I think they possibly moved the stock to some other "central location" (I live in the SF Bay Area, theres a bunch of CCs here still clearing stuff) .
Of course, the employee working there that I talked to was completely clueless.

AS others have and will say, you have under estimated people and looking at the discount and seeing it as a deal. Both of mine moved out at 40%, both are near very major military bases, and it was 40% off over a 3 day weekend. There was nothing left but PS2 games at both locations. I know some people have stated that their locations were having small store come and buy things up, so it's possible. But most likely, people thought 40% off was good enough for them.
I was shocked at people were saying theirs was still well stocked. I haven't seen that here for a long time, but I was thinking that it was likely in an area that CC wasn't popular, so they had more stock and less people shopping. Don't under estimate 60% off and the ability of items to disappear.

you're under-estimating the amount of stock this store had.
It had the "normal" full selection of games that you would find in any CC store pre-clearance. Every shelf was completely stocked. They had individual aisles for each console. from 1 week to the next there was almost no difference. Less than 1 week after that EVERY SINGLE COPY OF EVERY SINGLE CONSOLE / PORTABLE GAME in the entire store was gone. Including all 40ish (estimate) copies of the Party Babiez game, all of the Hannah Montana games, etc.
The Only things left were numerous Guitar Hero bundles. Why didn't these get snatched up? Maybe becasue they were too bulky to move with the other stuff?
BTW, EVERY SINGLE COPY OF EVERY SINGLE BLU-RAY MOVIE was gone too. Every one. Even the crappy "made for the Sci-Fi Channel" ones that Fry's sells for 5$ ea. CC was clearing these for 12$. And they're gone too.
They still had 1000s of std DVDs.
Now, I'm not saying that its "impossible" that they sold through everything. I am saying that its highly unlikely. It's more likely that they took all of the games and BR movies and moved them to another location so that could clear this store quicker and close its doors, quit paying workers at this location, and quit paying the lease at this store.
Literally the only thing left in this store was some hap-hazard TV setups and a ****load of DVDs, music CDs and PC games and stacks and stacks of GH bundles. Like 100s of them.

I think you all highly underestimate a few rabib Ebay resellers.... they will strip a section down to the carpet tacks if there were deals and any resell potential...
I just laugh at people that re-sell on ebay like my brother for instance.. at a closing sears he bought all five copies of Viewtiful Joe on the Gamecube for like a $1.50 each lol and mind you they are players choice.. how much return does he think hes going to see on those?
Its terrible on how you have to jump these days for anything because with any hesitation some ebay reseller has already got to it.

I had way too much fun today.
I forgot about the Lauderhill, FL store on Sample so after Uberslaughter mentioned it, I decided to check it out. Once I crossed the 441 bridge heading west on Sample, I saw three people within a half mile radius on the same side of the street with going out of business signs. The entrance of the building was locked and they were using the exit door as an entrance door. The pickings were like Uber said. The employees were so bored. There were four employees sitting on fixtures. I was going to ask a question about some component cables and one of the guys asked me if one of the employees "looked like a queer" for sitting a certain way. I bought an HDMI cable, Monster Cable, and a WWE DVD @ 70% off and the cashier was bored as hell. The signholders were more active than the indoor employees.
Even though the cashier said Thursday yesterday, I went back to Aventura to see if they went to 70% and sure enough they did. Place was packed with DVD's and very few games (They had some Rock Band drumkits and GH sets). It was also the only CC that had a working Xbox kiosk with Rock Band playable. The drumset was ripped to shreds but the guitar played just fine. I bought more DVD's there and ended up spending $155 overall.
Both stores said 8 days left. If the Best Buy's near CC have DBZ sets for $20 or less, I'll check them out to see what it looks like. But for now, my trips are done. I admire you guys who found Xbox 360 consoles.
There's a store on 17th Street? Is that in Miami? Is the traffic as bad as US-1?

Getting in the enormous line, I realized I was just as much of an inconvenience this time around as everyone else, because none of the employees had time for me to be polite to them. Without friendliness, I'm just like the rest of the messy inconsiderate jerkoffs. Oh well. Scored a bunch of DVDs for about $40.

DVD sets included CSI out the wazoo and tons of early Simpsons seasons, mixed with some Seinfeld, Ugly Betty, and random bits and pieces. I'd head there quick if you want anything specific, tons of people just buying everything indiscriminately (literally people saying "we should watch this tonight, never seen this" every 5 seconds or so).

At my local one, Burbank Ca, its literally taking your pick. They have all of them left, wireless Strats, GHWT's, Les Pauls, and X-Plorers. No SG's though, which bummed me out.

bought GHWT set for 76 bucks at the Brentwood CC in Missouri. i picked up a les paul for 16 bucks too. I went 2 the one in Fenton and the Valley also and they had basically 0 games. maybe one copy of SC 4 for PS3
Still lots of guitar heor stuff at Brentwood, I will stop back thursday for one last time to see if they dropped the price on surround systems. and Id grab a bunch of wireless guitars too if they are really cheap lol I think the wired 360 guitar was like 6 bucks already

Thanks supershammy, unfortunately I won't be in the area until Tuesday. I live pretty close to the CC in Tustin but the last time I went when it was 40% off I didn't see anything I was interested in but might head over there again with the markups at 70% off.

I went to the Circuit City on Sample in Coral Springs. 70% off DVDs/Blu-Ray/Games. They literally had NO games left besides ONE Rock Band PS2 and a bunch of Guitar Hero 3 guitar bundles. They had barely any Blu-Rays left either. I did pick up Generation Kill on DVD for 18 bucks though.

I was in Pasadena CA today. Not many games (some aerosmith, a sport game) but still had lots of the various guitar hero/RB stuff. They still had 20% off signs on the guitar sets and I didn't bother to price check them (didn't want to wait in line), but I guess they must be less (40% or more?) by now. I'd probably buy more stuff if they'd actually update their signs to the "current" price as I just look at it, think it is too expensive and move on. Lots of stuff doesn't even have a price tag either.

I am talking about OTHER places, of course.

If you're talking about the Guitar only bundle yes. At CC here the bundle is at $42.50. Target a few miles away had them for $32, I believe.

Kung Fu Hustle - $3
Want. One of the CCs I have been perusing had 18 copies until last week when I went back and they were all friggin gone. I figured I was covered until they dropped low enough, then I finally made it back and it was a bust. Damn. Score Zathura for my monkeys though, so all was not lost.

Went back today and got SOCOM w/ headset for $18 after 70% off.
I almost went to your store in Garland, but after a mapquest search I didnt go because:
a) Is 40 miles away from me
b) I dont want to pay to use the Bush turnpike.
Instead I went to the Frisco location and it sucked major ass. At least I got two decent cds (Jack's Mannequin and and Alkaline Trio for $3.80).
I am definitely hitting Denton and Southlake once stuff hits 80% off. I also went to the Denton location and I got 7 or 8 cds for $3 or $4 including some that I hid behind some digital frames. Yes go ahead and hate me.

PC games were 70% off so I picked up a copy of Diablo Battle Chest for $12. DVD's and CD's were also 70% off - got Otis and Dead Space: Downfall for around $6 each. "Social Games" were 60% off but I decided to wait for another drop before considering to pick up another GH bundle.
Drkirby
03-02-2009, 12:07 AM
Does the 70 percent apply to GH bundles?
No, they were idiots and thought the games would of been better movers, so they are always 10-20% lower. They are at least at 50%, maybe 60%.

Went to Newport CA for one last haul. Still had a few games 360 still had some OK games. Wii only Harvey Birdman. Maybe 10 DS games total. 10 - 15 GHWT band for 360 and the same amount for PS2. Some old Xbox games. About 2 fairly full rows of DVD's. Games and DVD's were 70% and GH were I think 50% but might be 60%. Here is the rundown of stuff I picked up:
Dead to Rights Xbox $1.49
Dead to Rights 2 Xbox $1.49
Spiderman 2 Xbox $2.69
Naruto: Clash NGC $2.69
Family Guy Xbox $5.09
Flatout 2 Xbox $3.89
TMNT Melee Xbox $1.49
Ratatouille NGC $2.69
Meet the Robinsons NGC $2.69
Superman Returns Xbox $1.49
Bomberman Jetters NGC $2.69
Neopets PSP $2.69
Naruto: Ultimate ninja heroes PSP $6.00
Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ NDS $6.00 (Love that title!)
GH Guitar Straps $2.00 X 2
Wooddy Woodpecker DVD box set $10.50
Black Snake Moan Blu Ray $9.00
Kill Bill Vol 2 $9.00
And the (S)Deal of the day:
Motor Storm: Pacific Rift PS3 $18.00 :applause:
Then went to HB CA store and tried to buy a GHWT PS3 that was missing the game (I had bought the stand alone game at 50%). The Fuck ing "manager" would not give a deal on it. The clerk said that she should have just gave me the price for a stand alone guitar that would have been only $16.00. I have probably bought more stuff from CC in the last month than the last 5 to 6 years. I am no big fan of BB or Fry's but I can't say that CC going out of Business is a big shock to me or anyone I know. It was always the last place I would really look for something.
I say don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

Checked out my local CC yesterday. They were completely picked clean of all PS3/360 items with the exception of Guitar Hero products and av cables. There were a few copies of Warhammer Online for the PC but I didn't bite. Ended up picking up a couple Wii Remote Skins, a Laptop Sleeve, 10 CDs, about 15 DVD box sets, and around 10 movies. I even managed to find a Simpsons Season 1 box set sitting on a random shelf. I was thinking of attempting to try one of the two stores towards the city, but I really don't see the point in that.

The Circuit City in Canton Ohio has pretty much nothing left. The only things they really had were a bunch of PS3 GHIII bundles along with some 360 ones and some standalone Les Paul guitars mainly PS3 with a few 360. There was just some display TVs and a bunch of USB cables and some blank DVD and CD packs. I almost bought some DVD-Rs but the price still wasn't any lower than Office Max really.

Haha yeah it was pretty bad when I went yesterday morning, there were still quite a few PC games though, and TONS of guitar stuff(I almost got GH Aerosmith but I couldn't justify the price, even at $30).
Did you happen to notice if they had any more guides left? I was eyeing a few of them like deadspace, and since I work incredibly close to that store I could probably trudge through this snow here and pick some up.

Well Silverdale, WA is now closed. Yesterday was the last day. It was very crowded, despite the fact they had nothing but loose cables and camera accessories left. They did have some flash memory, but it was 60% off. When I got there late (3pm) the manager was shouting 90% off everything. About 30 minutes before a horder came through and filled 2 carts with everything that was left. So I missed out on the Camera battery I wanted, and maybe a PS Pro Duo for a resonable price. So I can't respond if the 90% off was truly in effect as there was almost literally nothing to buy. But I did get those awesome Component cables soembody talekd about before. Damn nice quality and long, for only $5 each.

90% is quote normal for the last few hours of business. It was that way for Bradlees and Hollywood Video around here. In the case of Bradlees, the last hour was fill a bag for $1.00, which the newspaper had reported about, but I had missed it as I was there early in the day for the 90% off stuff.

Somebody had mentioned that before. But this was the first Final Day liquidation I have ever been to, so your confirmation is great. I would have stuck around to see what I could get but there was nothing, and I mean nothing but loose cables in boxes left. I take that back they did have a too human guide, and age of conan guides. I got another guide for a friend, $2 was a great price.
I recall now the manager saying Look at the price move the decimal one place to the left and that is what you pay. He didn't specify brands or product so. It was get rid of it. People were buying, ebay hoarders likely, but still buying it all up.
I wanted to get tehir around noon to get that battery if it was left, but I had a medical problem and the urgent care was horriblely slow that day. Oh well, I can live without a 2nd battery and MS Pro. I got enough of the latter. I ususally end up getting new cameras before the batteries die.
good luck everybody. my CC's used to be a clearance gold mine, but the liquidation was so-so for me.

I'm loving the Circuit City liquidation. Got the GHWT complete package for $76, the DS Action Replay for $8, some CDs my daughter wanted for $4.80 each, Fallout 3 (which I decided to trade for LBP), Resistance 2 and Farcry 2 for $30 each... it's been great. My wife grabbed a couple Wii Fit Yoga accessories, and I'll probably grab an XM radio too, for about $20 (they have plenty). On the other hand... it's a bummer that Circuit City is dead. Less jobs, one less store to buy stuff you need (or can't find), a net negative for the industry.
