I'd just prefer not to start later than that if at all possible. If that doesn't work, Sunday until 5-6 pm (or after 10pm) and Monday (maybe) until 6pm is all fine by me. (or after 9:30pm). Not sure if anything's happening Monday or not. I don't plan on it, but my sister "may" be coming over, hard to say.

I'm looking to start playing on Legendary, I can use any level now. I am generally free 7 - 10pm EST.

A question before I start, is there a way to tell what levels you've completed on Legendary or should I start keeping track?

I think when you go to the level select screen, it shows the "shields" for the difficulties you have completed. That way you can see which ones you have completed on Legendary or not.

Techinically, to get gredit for "beating" the game on legendary I think you just have to play through the "flashback" levels. In other words, you can select each level from the menu and play it through on legendary, as opposed to starting a new game and going straight through (including the in-between nighttime sections).

No I think you have to have beaten the game at least once (on any difficulty) in order to access the levels.

The Deja Vu achievement is beating the last level in the game with 4 people on legendary, so you have to have played through the campaign at least once to unlock that one.

Yeah you can't use the scorpion or the warthog. But the mongoose and the rocket launcher of ownage (1000 shots) are fair game.

Heh we could rush you through the game on easy, then hit up Deja Vu, but it might take too long. Plus if you're in it for the story, better to play through ODST at your own pace. I found it quite good actually.

Hey guys, I got an 11pm invite to an Endure session the other night via trueachievements.com and after 4+ hours we were able to get the achievement on our 2nd try. We lagged out in the 1st game 90 minutes in which was a real kick in the nuts considering we had stocked up 33 lives midway through the 3rd set. Our 2nd run wasn't as good, but in the end we squeaked by with 1 life to spare at the end of the 4th set. Of course the game froze up for all of us about 10 minutes prior to us finishing which cased everyone to have a heart attack, but luckily it didn't lag us out.

I suggest when going for Endure to take a look at this guide and video ahead of time on how to do it, especially the bonus rounds which are key to stocking up lives for the 4th set which is very difficult.

Yea, they show the spawn vent method for the bonus round at around the 4:24 mark of that video I posted. Getting the 4 bonus lives for hitting the target score is key in an Endure run.

The disconnections are a real pain in this game, especially considering Endure takes 2.5 hours. If it would have cut us off right at the end of the 4th set I'm not sure what I would have done. :bomb:

I think it is, but might want to double check 1st.
I think you just have to do it on legendary and over live.

I checked it looks like it is allowed to have 2 people on one system, either as separate live accounts or as an XBL guest. I'll see if he can bring his XBL account on a USB stick or something but not sure if he has one.

I'd still like to get all those , as well as the firefight high score achievements on the various stages , but my varying work schedule really makes it hard for me to ever join a group (my days off are usually two random weekdays and my actual work days are usually evenings till 8pm or later).

Annual and Deja Vu seem like the least time consuming, while Endure seems much more like a time killer and also a game that will require a lot more teamwork. It might be best to do those two first, especially if they are somewhat easier.

There are Youtube videos of people completing Annual and Deja Vu, so we should probably check those out to figure out paths and trouble spots before we encounter them in game.

If we have 4, we just need to figure out a time and hope we have great connections.

I could join tonight , and sunday after 9pm , saturday is out. I don't know how much help I'll be since I'm kinda rusty from not having played Halo in a while. I might be alright doing Annual since I'm more familiar with that stage and with H3 in general , but I'd be willing to give Deja Vu a try as well.

Or I could always sit this one out if you all have 4 people already and reacquaint myself with the games first.

we always have trouble finding 4 people, so anyone who is available needs to join up.

TBH I'm only up for doing Deja Vu as it's the only one I have left. Annual is a Halo 3 achievement not an ODST one and I don't have Halo 3. The firefight 200k ones can all be done alone or even just 2 people is plenty (a little more fun to have a buddy for the fight), so you guys can knock those out without having to scrounge around for 4 people.

Using these as a basic guide, this just seem to be more of a try again after dying, while screwing up Endure will be a complete setback.

Ebbtide what is your XBL tag? We have looks like 3, need a 4th (not including you)

Not sure if MillerTime will be able to play as he does not have a HDD, and ODST says you need a HDD to play online co-op

Got your messages. I had forgotten that a HDD was needed for co-op in ODST , knew one was needed for Reach.

Millertime , have you been using a Flash Drive for saves and stuff , is that why you don't have a HDD?

one thing we can try with 3 is to get a 4th controller on someone's system as split screen. that puts 4 in teh game although obviously one of them will be a statue. it works, just don't know how hard it is with the iron skull being a requirement and all that

Would that work? Even if it did that might be kinda rough due to the conditions of the challenge. That's something I've never actually considered , that if a split screen pair can team up with two others online , then I might be able to get my brother to help out , but it would have to be for future attempts since I can't get him now.

Yeah, I got a 4GB slim and just use a flash drive. Figured I'd upgrade to an HD later and that I wouldn't need it for anything. Guess I'm wrong on the halo front. Disappointing but oh well.

Yeah, I need to do Annual and Endure, as well as Vidmaster Classic on Halo 3. I wouldn't mind going for the ODST firefight achievements either, but the vidmaster ones are higher priority.

I actually unlocked Endure this weekend. Seriously, it wasn't difficult. I saved the video file of it, and we were able to get to Set 5 in just over 2 hours (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/ODSTg.aspx?gameid=119228316&player=The%20Ebbtide). None of us knew each other, so we just tried to communicate and work in pairs. As long as no one tries to lone wolf and each of you have some skill, 4 people should be able to make it through with no problem.

The biggest issue you'll face is people losing connection, so, when you're playing with others, make sure it's at a time when your roommates or family members aren't using the internet so that you don't run the risk of connection error.

If anyone is trying for Annual, let me know.

Also, if people are trying for Deja Vu or Endure, but can't find a fourth, message me. They aren't difficult, just annoying since you need 4 players. I'd be willing to help out if I have the time.
