I was trying to get the "no timestop", "no upgrades", and "no deaths" cheeses... but while I reloaded after every death, never froze time, and never picked up a boost for any stat, it only gave me the cheese for finishing it on normal. And that took a lot of fun out of the game. :|

Apparently with the no deaths you have to turn the 360 off right after you die, like within seconds, and that doesn't always work.

I only need the "all boosts" and "complete and normal" and a few of the other smaller ones, so shouldn't be too bad.

I have 210 in it and just need to get over 290.

Decided to ditch Soul Calibur IV on Goozex. I'm just not into fighters anymore, and hadn't touched it in a couple months. Might as well ditch it while it's still in demand and going for 1,000 points. Bionic Commando was twice the new game SSF2THDR is and it was only $10!

On the last chapter of Mirror's Edge. That game is almost good. The combat is TERRIBLE and the ledge grabs are sketchy and don't always work like you want.

Seriously, that level on the fucking boat made me almost turn the damn thing off. There should not have been any combat in this game. I'm trying to play it without using guns. Then there's these bullshit parts where you could just run away from a group of enemies, if not for the conveniently placed crank that needs to be turned, or pipe that needs to be climbed, assuring that if you do run, you'll be shot in seconds.

Platforming and climbing puzzles are great, though.

Also, cartoon porn is not normal. It's about as awesome as making love to a realdoll. They're both just as humanlike. Grow up, kiddos.

I'm looking forward to playing Mirror's Edge. Anyway, as for games, I finally beat Persona 3 FES: The Answer the other day and its gotten me totally excited for P4. Can't fucking wait. And I beat Castlevania OoE. Good game, not as good as DoS, but better than PoR.

Also, I've started Valkyria Chronicles. So far, it is an AWESOME game and I highly recommend it.

Lastly, as for PC gaming, A Vampyre Story is now out for download HERE (http://www.gamersgate.com/?page=product&what=view&sku=DD-AVS) for $29.99. My GF downloaded it last night, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. In case you don't remember, its a point-and-click adventure game developed by many of the old LucasArts gang. My first run was on Normal with no runner vision and no guns.
Second run will be on Hard but this time, I will take advantage of the sniper rifle and machine gun. :)

I got pretty good at taking out squads of guys with melee.

The server room. The only real bitch part is that last fucker who stands on the catwalk with his machine gun out. He will not move and it seems totally random how many shots it takes for him to kill me. Usually he decides it's just one.

The server room. The only real bitch part is that last fucker who stands on the catwalk with his machine gun out. He will not move and it seems totally random how many shots it takes for him to kill me. Usually he decides it's just one.

Just run straight at him. I found that if you try to zig zag your way towards him, it takes longer and he'll shoot more, making it a higher chance of dying.

When you get there, put bullet time on, and disarm him. He takes too many punches.

Run loopy loops around servers, run up catwalk, hit with slide kick or jump kick so he's down for a second and run into elevator.

Are you playing on Hard? One hit shouldn't kill you.

Whoo! I did it! finished Mirror's Edge with no guns used (on people).

I ended up just jumping up to the catwalk, ignoring all the other dudes, disarming the machine gunner, and then using his gun to shoot all the servers, then ran upstairs.

Overall I'd give the game a C. Dull story, some bad controls, and atrocious combat bring down what is otherwise a really fun puzzle/platforming type game.

AC:CF is like a finely-tuned version of Wild World. Aside from the city, there's not much new about it, but much of what is new is an improvement over WW; my favorite of these is the ability to swap tools without having to go to the menu.

I saw preorders up at cduniverse (http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/games/pid/7419439/a/Beautiful+Katamari.htm) (with a March 25 release) and at GQD (http://www.gamequestdirect.com/722674110082.html)(with an April 4 release). I checked the Namco website, and it seems that it hasn't been announced yet for PS3, so it looks like maybe these two have broken the news or its just a rumor. I know it was originally intended for PS3 but put on hold or something, so its probably just something that hasn't been announced yet and these two sellers are breaking the news a little early.

What don't you like about it?

I blame my dislike of MK on two things:
1) I wasn't allowed to play it as a lad, but I was able to play Street Fighter :confused: which I think is why there's a personal preference for SF.
2) I just feel like the controls are clunky/I don't have a "favorite" character.

Home is quite amusing too. I started doing the running man dance in front of the music station and had like 10 people standing next to me doing it, like we were on stage or something. :)

It's kinda intriguing, but I don't think I'd spend a whole lot of time on it.

Dead Space is phenomenal Jer. I ran through on medium using only the plasma cutter in about 11 hours. I plan to play through again sometime for sure.

Dead Space was good the first time i ran through it...but when i tried to play it again, i couldnt stayed it. This happend to me with Doom 3 also

I think it will be interesting for me the second time because I'm going to put on the elite suit and start using all those weapons I have that I haven't touched. :)

I didn't get a Home invite but someone gave me their code randomly.

It's pretty ridiculous. I got two club invites, one from Richlough for CAG's club, and semi-random one from someone I have on my friends list.

I entered the club, he told me to have a seat, so I did.
Then we danced, then we went bowling.

It's pretty weird.
And the face editor is very, very deep if you want it to be. I didn't spend much time with it as it was taking too long.

So I'm not too impressed with Home thus far. Character creation was meh... I mean, they give you a facial hair option, but like, a viking metal mustache and early 20th century German 'staches? C'mon now.... And I've been waiting for like 5 minutes to download the "Central Plaza". I hope these are things that are going to be worked out in the final build.

And my LBP level is coming along swimmingly. I've got about 30 seconds of gameplay. Twisted Fairy Tale ftw. My crowning achievement in my level is my exploding "Grama's House" sign. Pure genius.

I played some more LBP last night. I must say that I HATE the bunker level. This is about the 5th time I tried and failed this level. It's to the point where I'm getting ready to throw my controller.

I bought my console on launch day. Since then, I've had to return it 3 times. Each time, I've been sent back a refurbished console that was doomed to red ring again. That was fine when I had a warranty, but now that their 3 year band-aid fix is up, I'm fucked when I get the inevitable red ring.

I'm really tempted just to trade it in now and buy a new one before it breaks, so I don't have to try to towel trick it into working to trade it in.

i got best buys warranty and its worked wonders for me....other than the the 2nd year in a row that i missed out on the holiday bundle
