If you like Sonic Rush, I'd recommend picking up Sonic Rush Adventure as well. Good, quality sonic game.I want to get the game in ways, since I really liked Sonic Rush. One of my favorites on DS.


Mana, you're crazy. I couldn't in good conscience buy that many games and I do have a job!It's not that many to me because I had years where I bought 2-3 times more than that, around the Holiday season when I didn't need them. 10 games the rest of the year should be fine I think. You gotta understand that I'm by myself a lot and have much more time to myself compared to most, so games keep me occupied.

Apologies, I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but I do use my stick for 2D games in general: shmups, and platformers as well as fighters. I think the arcade stick thread can stand on it's own--especially considering how so many have questions about stick parts, modding, choosing sticks, etc..

I don't like that idea. The stick thread was full of details on how to build sticks, where to order parts, reviews on specific sticks etc. While the fighter thread was to talk about fighting games. It's a giant clusterfuck to try to fit those two different types of information in one thread. People wanting info on building a stick don't want to sift through posts about games, and vice versa.

And as the gunm mentioned, arcade sticks can be used for a variety of games besides fighting games, especially in this gen with all the arcade games on XBLA and PSN.

I still don't get your concern over having threads for specific topics like this, especially when you touted having threads for each game rather than genre which would create much more clutter as many games discussed in those genre threads don't need their own threads as not enough people are playing them.

Yeah, actually a social group may be ok for arcade stick info. Make it public (no invites needed) and put a link to it in the first post in the Fighting Game threads, and some indication that the link is there in the thread title so newbies can find it.

My afternoon adventure:
Wally World said no on my exchange. No biggie. Searched the store for model paint, no dice. Checked about 4 other stores in the area for model paint. The last store I checked was a mom&pop hardware store. They had like... 4 different colors of water based paint. No biggie. I grabbed 3 different paints for $6 and two brushes (fine point and a little wider) for $6. Not a bad haul. Then I went to TRU to exchange my game for SR2. I can't wait to fire it up later.

I say not now to LBP. The actual gameplay is just so weak.I highly disagree there there because there's so much personality with it and there are many things you can do. The level designs in story mode are pretty good. I wouldn't say the controls are 100% perfect, but they still work very well. Still, playing 2D type of levels with friends, online, along with an endless number of levels is a dream come true. Playing with friends is so much fun and there's still quite a lot to do on your own. Not just beating every level is key, but there's so much to collect, designing your pod, cool things to do with the PS Eye (I have one). In ways it's the only game I probably need the rest of the year, but I'll still buy several games.;) The platforming is pretty challenging too, which also makes the game a joy.

I could say the beta alone was my GotY, even above MGS4 (and that game was truly something special to me).

I don't plan to buy Gears 2. I didn't like the first at all. I liked Halo 3, but not Gears.

Little Big Planet is not going to be the be-all-end-all that Sony fans want you to believe it is. The game really is a lot more shallow than you would think, and unless Media Molecule gets around to adding the ability to change the player characters' look, controls, and abilities, the game will always be limited in what you can do in the creation tools.

I think they really missed a chance to have the game be fully creative and even more unique. Since you're always playing the same sackboy who jumps the same height and has the same abilities, he's ultimately going to start feeling the same, no matter how many levels users make.

I just came to the realization that I'll be playing Fallout 3 in a week.

Dead Space looks cool. I wish I had a better setup to play it though. I'm in the basement with an old HDTV that has a 4 inch dark spot on the bottom, no surround sound, horrible seating (I'm sitting on an outside swinging bench with a pillow tied to it), and it is freezing because the floors are concrete with no carpet. Upstairs there is a 50" 1080p set, 7.1, and a couch mocking me. Therefore, I'm going to skip it. If my parents go away or something for a weekend and I don't have to work much I'll rent it and get my fix then.

Okay. Saints Row 2 is amazing. It takes what ruled about the first game, and makes it that much better. GTA style game play with a lot of humor in the dialog. I hated GTAIV... and actually most GTA games. But I played Saints Row to death, and SR 2 is just the best way to improve upon the first. Like, in the first game, you customized your character's look at the start of the game, but you don't talk. In SR2, you get to make someone from scratch again(kind of like Oblivion's create a character) and you get to pick one of three voices. So your character potentially looks different and has a voice. And the characters in game are like "oh... did you do something with your hair?" and they make jokes about you talking. Good stuff. And there is a side mission where you drive around in a septic truck and spray shit on things to devalue them. Anyway, this is the first game in a long time to just suck me in and make me want to keep playing. A+ so far.

I think there's some death match-type modes. My TRU didn't get enough of the new releases for this week in yet, so I won't know until later this week I guess.

You have 5 installs through 3 computers. When you properly uninstall and let the game phone home, you get 1 install back. It's not as peachy as it sounds.

For example, I have microsoft office 2003. I am allotted 5 installs in its lifetime. I installed it after I bought it on my desktop pc last year. Over the summer, my harddrive crashed, so I had to reformat the entire thing, and I have since installed it once again on my desktop. I recently bought a laptop to use with school, and it didn't come with microsoft office unless I paid the ridiculous amount to rebuy a product I have already bought once. So I installed my copy of office 2003 on my laptop, that's 3 uses within a year.

I'm buying a new pc harddrive to replace my old one this christmas, which will result in me having to install office once more. That's 4 installs within a year and a half of purchasing that software. I have 1 install left, so if any of my two pc's have any problems regarding reformatting or haddrive (which most of the time, you have no physical control over) I'm fucked, and out the money I spent on that software, forcing me to rebuy it.

It's just simply retarded to put this kind of stupid DRM bullshit on PC games. It's obviously not working if over 500,000 people can still pirate a game a week before the damn thing even comes to market. All it's doing is screwing over the consumer that pays for the retail disc. It's such a damn shame when the pirated versions of games work better than the damn retail versions.

Edit: All this hate goes the same for that waste of life Cliffy B running his mouth off last week too. According to him, because I'm smart enough to keep my PC up to date to play newer PC games, apparently, I'm smart enough to just pirate games. Stupid fuck. Yes. You just put the elite hd serial on the migration kit form and fax it in, I guess -- manthing did it. But if you have a 256 or 512 mb memcard, migrating your own shit is easy and quick.

The previews made dead space looked action based in spots anyhow. But if the combats good, the monsters are freeky, the atmosphere is done right, and the inventory isn't lax, you can still get suspense out of it at least...

I think they're the same. I got it on PS3 since it has trophies, which means there's no difference as far as I'm concerned, and in that case it means I'm going to get it on the system that I haven't had to send back to MS 4 times.

There's a form on xbox.com that you can mail or fax in to request a transfer kit.

On that form, they ask for the serial # of both the Pro and the Elite systems.

If you don't have an Elite, do what I did: write 'on order' for the Elite's #


Also, I faxed my form in. I don't know if that made a difference in the acceptance of the form, but it made a difference in the speed I received my first transfer kit...

You have to refer yourself then dual box both characters. Everything is 3x xp (kills and quests). The account that got referred can grant 1 level every 2 levels gained to the account that referred them. They have to be together (and within 3 levels of each other) to get the bonus and it stops at level 60.

Anyone pick up Socom for PS3? Updating now but need some people to play against or with. I added a bunch of people and still waiting for 6 people to accept (or deny lol)

By the looks of the survey, there will be a decent amount of people picking it up. It will have a weekly CAG night (probably on Sundays, since that's what it's currently set on). I want SOCOM, but I need to buy some of my higher wants first to assure I have enough money left over for it.

My current issue right now is that ALL PSN friend requests sent to me right now have to be denied (I'm at 96), because if I add any more buddies, Burnout Paradise will freeze every time I open up the easy drive buddy list menu. I found out that last night the hard way.
