The FightStick (standard one) is light years better than the Hori EX 2 (DOA4/VF5/SC4) ... for sure.

No wireless sticks, only wireless thing is the PS3 FightPads...

Meandering through The Citadel in DDS. Good times, battle system actually requires some strategery. Mantras are way too expensive though. I'm very thankful for frequent save points, it'll make it a lot quicker to get through (not so much recovering from death since that's only happened a couple times, just easier to get to a stopping point).

Holding off on Chrono Trigger since I've already played it and beat it a bunch of times. Might get it for christmas though. If not I'll just wait for it to go down in price. (at least $10 since it is a squeenix title). Only thing I really want to play through the game for is to check out the new dungeons and monster training game , and to listen to the awesome soundtrack.:bouncy:

As far as parties go , to the best of my memory my main team was usually Chrono/Marle/Frog^Magus. Robo , Lucca and Ayla are fun characters to use , but Robo and Ayla especially seem to drop in usefullness later in the game due to there lack of "real" magic. If I'm going to bring one of them , I usually switch chrono out for them.

My overall preferred team is Chrono, Ayla, Frog. Slurp Kiss double tech plus 3D Attack triple tech is a beast combination. My team is usually Chrono, Frog, and whomever. :)

Plus I need Ayla later in the game so I can steal shit like Prism Helms and Prism Dresses from Queen Zeal.

Does anyone know if the system requirements for Fallout on gog.com are correct? I know the game itself doesn't have these requirements but does downloading it from gog require them? I have Windows 2000 on my laptop.

I was going to mention The Departed. My accent is slightly different though. I have a RI accent, and the people in that movie have a Boston accent obviously. I think Tales of Vesperia is pretty good, and definitely the best Console RPG released this year (Up your Butt, Fable II) and is probably much better if you don't want to do or force yourself to do the Secret Missions, especially 17 and 23 (I never completed 23, but at that point I just wanted the game to end). But TWEWY is definitely better than Vesperia. I somehow have high hopes for Final Fantasy XIII, but I expect to be disappointed.

Oh, and...I have once again gone back on a promise of not to beat a game. Yeah...youtube, I love you. Thank you for helping me beat Sonic Unleashed.

Played a lot of Force Unleashed this weekend. I'm really enjoying it, well worth the $20 I paid for it.

The bandits by Sandy Shades or whatever it's called were too tough, and if I killed one of them inside of a tent, somehow the whole camp knew about it and would tear me apart. Now that I've browsed through a FAQ to see how short the game is, I think I'm going to try to skip combat for the whole game. I've got high charisma and pretty high INT, so it should be interesting.

It saves every wave you do. So if you play up to Wave 20 and have to bounce, you can start on any wave 1-20 the next time you pop the game in. Also, matchmaking is fixed so you won't experience the super long wait for games to start that everybody else did when the game launched.

It's not restarting from the save per se, you can just pick any level 1-20 to restart from. So not really a save, you just unlock each wave as you reach it and can choose to start from their in the future. What I mean buy that is it won't save the amount of ammo or the weapons you were currently carrying etc. You just pick the level to start from and start with the normal guns/ammo amounts etc.

It's better to start on a level with a 1 in it... don't start on levels ending in 8, 9, or 0...

Public matches start on wave 1 and the difficulty is not adjustable. Neither is the map other than the standard "vote for one of two". Running a private game will let you start anywhere you made it to in any mode of horde. When I ran horde mode, I did it on a public map through level 17 on Pavillion. We then got together in a private room and ran 17-50 on Security.

And do you have Ian on your team yet? He makes the fight with the Khans a thousand times easier. You should have an SMG (do not give this to any NPC) and a leather jacket from the Radscorpion caves and a shotgun from your Vault at this point and he should still be using his 10mm. Just start off in the SW corner of the map and kill those guys off. Any time you're not actively being attacked or chased you should get out of combat mode and heal yourself/Ian. Note that you don't have to have a stim in your hand to heal yourself - you can go into your inventory for 4 AP and use as many as you want. If you find yourself close to the leader Garl and Ian is not standing anywhere near him, use a full burst from your SMG.

Oh, and you should have at least nine agility here. I went through with ten, though technically nine works better in the long run. Though as I said, the endgame is easier than hell, so whatever.

Now that I've browsed through a FAQ to see how short the game is, I think I'm going to try to skip combat for the whole game. I've got high charisma and pretty high INT, so it should be interesting.
If that's the case, then make sure you don't get Dogmeat in Junktown. And a high perception will help you get out of random encounters a lot better.

I was hoping Ian was disposable. The idiot got himself killed in a random encounter with mutant rats. We started shooting them, but they were all going after him. He got hurt and started running away, and since he and the rats are faster than me, he died somewhere offscreen. Never did find the body.

Anyway I bartered with Garl. Gave him $400 worth of stuff for the girl. All I found was tails in the scorpion cave, where should I be finding guns and armor? I still have the starting pistol and no armor. I haven't been using stimpacks because if I had been using them, I'd be out of them by now. Also my big gun stat is very low.

While there's combos in Smash Bros, button mashing won't get you very far past cpu controlled opponents.

I agree. Let me restate that, combo memorization isn't necessary but button memorization is. You don't need to pull off any combos in SB though.
