You own your copy of the game cart and your copy of the code written to that cart. Unless you have some way to overwrite your cart with the translation, you probably downloaded another copy of the code. Then you have 2 copies of the code, one which you legally bought and one that you illegally downloaded. One doesn't cancel the other out. And I'm not sure if overwriting the code on your cart counts as, or requires, some kind of reverse engineering (which would be illegal.) it's most likely illegal anyway you slice it. but no one cares to enforce it, so who cares.

you suck, but there's a cure! learn to strafe. Bait his charge move, shock him, then use shotgun blasts on his air tank thing. you get better weapons and powers to deal with them later. Like any single player FPS, strafing beats everything.

Wow GTAIV on pc is a total mess. The game runs fine for me (thank god) but textures decide to disappear on people and your surroundings when they feel like it. Hopefully rockstar gets a patch out soon to fix this because it's very annoying. That along with random crashes suck.

Personally speaking , I do have about double the amount of 360 games as I do wii games. Which may or may not seem impressive until you realize that that means I have about 40 360 games and about 20 wii games. Give or take. No PS3 yet though.

The 360's had Gears and a bunch of XBLA games that were good (Ikaruga, Rez HD, etc.) Now, it's sad that XBLA games are like... the best shit the system has to offer and the only good ones are based off of older games, but it's something. The Wii has been shit too this year, but it at least got some games last year. The PS3 has never had that going for it.

It is a good Blu Ray player though. The fan is kinda loud, however.

I take it you never played Wipeout before? The game is pretty much the same, except easier thanks to the Auto mode.

The arcade/dl games are fun in their own way. I'm glad these smaller titles are getting a chance.

I liked (and thus have): Super Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Trauma Center: New Blood, No More Heroes (I'll admit it's love it or hate it, though), SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 (the only good version of it), Super Smash Bros. Brawl. There might be like... one I'm forgetting.

But yeah, that's not a great lineup, especially considering that two of those are basically old games (Trauma Center Second and SNK)... so...

But yeah, almost all Nintendo stuff...

You sound like dmaul.;) Maybe it's just me , but most of the wii games that I've played , the motion controls didn't really seem forced or unnatural or anything. Then again the worst offenders appear to be the multiplatform ports.

I will agree that It'd be nice if most of the games gave you the option to use any control scheme , but I guess the theory is that if people have the option not to use motion controls they won't use them , whether or not they make the game easier/more fun to play.

The 360 is definiltely the machine I've enjoyed the most since the SNES for sure. The Wii didn't do it for me after Mario, Metroid and Zelda (which were all great) and got sold and I've never had much interest in the PS3 as their exclusives just don't interest me much. Fable 2 is starting to get good.. I was considering selling it for a while. Dicking around as an evil character was fun for a while, but now I'm actually following the story. Combat feels a little pointless since you can just die and be ressurrected. I don't mind being scarred up since I want my dude to look hideous anyway. I played good in Fallout 3 mostly, so I figured I'd play evil in Fable.

For cross-platform titles, I try to weigh out which one was ported the "best" in terms of technical performance, as well as weighing out the other minor differences such as DLC, online functionality (minor for me since I usually don't play online), and achievements.

So I was trying to deal with the both of them in the hospital at the same time. I actually thought that my mom was not going to make it. She was in a sepsis(infection)coma for quite some time.

But as my mom started better, my dad got worse and eventually passed away. He died on the fourth of July. I had a really hard time deciding on whether to go with my wife and kids downtown to the fireworks or to go and see him, I decided to go with my wife and kids. I thought about him almost the whole time.

After getting home, about 10 mins. later the hospital called and they told me to get there ASAP; I rushed there as fast as I could be he was already gone.. I don't know but it's weird to think that he is not "here" anymore. It's getting easier for me, but I think about him at least once a day, it is hard when I see pictures of him, and remember his voice, or things he would say or do in certain situations.

Hang in there js1. My father passed away in April of 2005, but not before being in a comatose state for 30 months. And my mom had an ulcer blow up in her stomach a year later and she almost died. So that shit was pretty rough.

I do have one piece of advice. Get power of attorney over your spouse, and vice versa. My mom had to fight tooth and nail just to be able to make financial and other decisions for my dad, even though he had no way of making such decisions.

I have power of attorney over my mom just in case something happens to her.

Yeah, I thought about starting P4 on hard, but in the end I opted for normal cause I knew I'd probably have to do more grinding. Even on normal tho it can be a little rough if you're not prepared. I'm starting to wonder if the difficulty will be like P3 was for me, where it started out rough, but got easier after the first couple of bosses.

Regardless, I am enjoying the story so far. There's a few minor complaints I have about it, but those things can be overlooked and in my opinion are almost worth it just to be able to fully control the entire party now.

I think I was around 15-16 when I went up against the first dungeon boss, but I'm playing on normal difficulty. My only advice would be to bring along several of the healing medicines that heal your whole party. The battle was longer for me than it should have been cause I only brought like 2 of those along with me, so after they were out I was down to healing each character individually, which meant I was healing more and attacking less. You probably shouldn't have as much trouble as I had since you're at level 17 tho.

I had tried to convince my dad for years to get power of attorney over my mom or to at least declare her incompetent and as he got older I also tried to convince him to get a will made. Never happened.

My dad basically would let my mom do things like get credit cards, and max them out, just cause unnecessary financial hardship on our family. Not to mention all of the messed up,embarrassing things that would happen when she would not take her meds or shots. One example that I can remember, my mom thought that putting pop in the gas tank would actually HELP the car run better!

Before my dad gotten really sick, my mom like mentioned before she was in the hospitial basically in a coma; after she got out of it she ended up in a rehab/nursing home and then my dad passed, so I had to be responsible for her. The first thing I did was get POA over her so I could make important decisions for her when needed. I was able to get it all done in one day.

I do agree with you hankmecrankme, in that it is something that we all should do at some point in our lives, because it will make things much easier in taking care of affairs.

I just want an easy to use interface to play games, watch movies etc. The NXE is ok in that, but even it with the Avatars has a lot of stuff I could do without.

Well I tried getting into Home, but it seems that I'm one of the many who keep getting connection error message after trying to log in. No big deal tho. Maybe I'll try again in a couple days when the servers aren't getting pounded so hard.

Watched the new FF XIII and Versus XIII trailers, but neither are showing any actual gameplay, which is disappointing. The Vs. XIII trailer makes it seem that it will have a darker storyline.

According to Zew and Moxio, the resident Persona experts, you don't have to play Persona 3 to get into Persona 4. There is no particular connection between P3 and P4 as far as the story goes.

Persona 4 story is really good. From the previews I thought it wasn't going to be great, but it is really engaging, much more so to me than Persona 3. I only played about 40 hours of P3 before setting it down this Fall but I will go back to it after P4. I can see problems where the better features of P4 will make P3 harder to play, but they aren't very significant.

Also, don't look at the art book before you start playing. Some spoil-ars in there.

Chrono Trigger DS is awesome, and this is totally the best version of the game, but wow... my freakin' DS is crapping out... I've had this one for like... 4 months. Any sort of jostling results in the thing freezing up. It's really ghetto.

started persona 4. probably the longest intro without gameplay ever. but I think I'm at the gameplay now. awesome game, great art design...way more aesthetically pleasing than the pretty bland style of P3.
