Man, the amount of awesome that Chrono Trigger represents is incredible.

This game is still sooo good. Only played for a few hours, but I'm about to hit The Denadoro Mountains I always died at the boss there back when I rented the game as a kid. The motherfucker was tough, dammit!

I just got to the Sky land place 10k BC in Chrono Trigger. I totally don't remember any of this part of the game. Its kind of awesome that I get to replay part of a game I've played a few times but it is like a brand new experience.

I kinda get the same feeling from Persona 4. I was worried that Teddy was going to be annoying, but he is actually quite loveable! I love those un-bear-lievable puns.

I have no idea what's wrong with it, but it seems like it's fine as long as I'm careful not to put any pressure on the thing. Needless to say, I'm sending it into Nintendo as soon as I finish Chrono Trigger.

Speaking of which, in CT, I totally kicked Masamune's ass. I feel awesome every time I do that just because I struggled to beat that bastard so many times.

What makes me sad, though, is that kids this Christmas are almost definitely going to make it a priority to ask for Tony Hawk's Motion Hue Pixel Painter or Cake Mania even though Chrono Trigger is better than whatever their puny brains tell them they should get.

The pacing in DDS2 is amazing, particularly relative to DDS. No more moving around the hub world, just one action scene to the next.

Turns out CoD:WaW is actually a competent game on Wii, lack of online co-op and arcade mode is a bummer though. That'll stay a rental.

Back in the day... this is how it was for me.

I had a N64 and PS1. I would game all day on the PS1... but when something good comes out on N64, I'd take my time and play it... but it was a very rare occurrence... Maybe once or twice a year I'd actually play on the N64.

Not counting the Wii in this (who plays their Wii?)... I feel the same way with my 360 and PS3. I'll play/get 360 versions of games and then when/if something decent comes out on PS3, I'll play through it.

Game's just easy. You can basically just fall to your death now, which doesn't even result in your actual death. Elika will save you every time. No more traps and fewer enemies.

I just finished the game, and I really enjoyed it. It's not dumbed down at all, and plays like the other games in the series. I wouldn't even really say it's easier. Sure Elika saves you, but it's just a glorified checkpoint. It cuts out the loading screens, and you hitting the continue option.

Also the ending was really well done.

I got it yesterday and am probably about halfway through about now. It's really easy as far as combat goes (since you can't die), but very fun. The only downside is you are forced to collect light seeds between areas, so unless you have enough to get the next ability, you have to run around and collect. Not a big deal, just a little annoying when I'd rather just continue with the story.

The girl saving you is what makes it seem "easy." In reality, I fell a shitload of times in the first hour and was thankful for not having to reload and shit. The combat is fun, though obviously not DMC/NG level (since PoP wasn't made in Japan. but if the Japanese made it, the game would be better and Elika's boobs would be better.) The combat is whats dumbed down.

It seems worth the $30 the PC version costs. Looks beautiful and seems better optimized than Ass Creed. Dropped to 30fps in some fights on my rig (3.0ghz c2d and 8800gts512, 2gb ram), but since fights are mashy and have slow-mo effects out the ass to dumb it down for retards, it didn't matter. Stayed a slick 60fps otherwise--and this looks really freaking good at 60fps.

Hrmm... see, this is the thing though: I'm not sure if PoP is gonna be one of those games that you can pick up a few years down the road and be like "oh damn, I remember this. I'm gonna play through it again." I fear it's basically the flavor of the week for this week (or last week or something... whenever it came out.)

Edit: Also, I'm loving this hipster approach to advertising for the PSP. What a great system that is. I mean, you get Crisis Core this year and a remake of a Castlevania game last year... and a couple good games the year before that! Sounds like a winner to me!

sure, it's a flavor of the week. it doesn't seem replayable unless you're in to orb collecting and new costumes. there aren't even extra difficulty levels. On the other hand, it seems like a fun 9 hours to play through.

I'm not gonna dispute that , but SE kinda did this to themselves. Because while the first game was pretty much a stand alone title , the second game not only connects to the first but leaves things open for a third. The series deserves some closure , especially considering how revered it is.

You could always do it the hard way and just get the 4 essential characters then go straight to Kefka's Tower (or for a bigger challenge , skip Sabin).

Played some more Oblivion early this evening doing a couple more Dark Brotherhood quests. Think I've done like 15 now--up to silencer rank and have done a couple at that rank. I'm going to stick with that till I finish then get back to the main story mission and finish that off and then decide if I want to do any other guilds or get any of the DLC expansions.

Very close to ordering Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom and the Fighting Stick for the Wii. I'll probably do that late tomorrow. The genre's starting to get inundated again with stuff like Arcana Heart, Battle Fantasia, and Sengoku Basara X, but Tatsu definitely seems like it's a must have.

Home is surprisingly cool. You can't make a cool looking character. You can make a gay looking one, or a boring looking one, but that's about it.

But what I love most about it is the whole notion of basically streaming the entire fucking thing from the internet. This is convenient, as you needn't download anything you don't need. The only times you have to download something are for less important tasks, such as: leaving your apartment.

They disappear, may come back a couple days later or never at all. Also, when you try to save, sometimes it will say "Save Failed" and you have to try again.

EDIT: I've tried it multiple times and my PS3 won't recognize the disc. I can put it in all of my other PS2 and PS3 games and they read just fine. Do I contact Amazon for a replacement?

Edit #2: I checked the disc to see if anything appeared wrong with it and there does seem to be an inconsistency around the edges. On the clear edges themselves are small bumps that are scattered throughout. Does anyone else have these "rough" bumps on their game disc or does my disc the only one to have herpes?

Edit #3: I feel stupid. I was putting in the music CD, not the game DVD. Awesome. Crisis averted!

I beat the grasslands map of Field Runners on easy.

Pussy difficutly or not, it still took strategizing. I'm going to spend a few more hours with it, and then I think I'll write a review. Been wanting to try my hand at reviewing for a while and I figure a casual game such as this would be a perfect start.

thank god persona 4 allows you to turn off voices. i know the j-dorks love anime va, but teddie is annoying as hell. also needs a "more music" button, but otherwise, this game is better than P3 in every way :)
