I had some of the buffalo wing ones the other day. they're pretty good! One thing the ggt doesn't know about me is that I'm a buffalo wing flavor addict. I eat wings every once in a while, but I always go for chips and stuff that are wing flavored. it's weird :lol:

Man, Persona 4 feels really, really polished. Like, everything about it.
I pretty much agree with you. My only problems with the game are pretty minor I guess and that is not being able to go into a dungeon after dark and not being able to do anything after coming out of a dungeon. Also, I really do need to go back and play SMT: Nocturne sometime soon. I started it and got sidetracked.

Chronicles is good. It is a remake of the original Castlevania, but it plays a little more smoothly. You're still fairly limited in your movement though (particularly with stairs), but overall it's a lot of fun if you like old-style Castlevania. Great soundtrack, too.

Last Remnant is actually good! It's pretty fun, cuts out a lot of the unnessecary menus and dialog most RPGs have, and the battles actually are fast and fun.

That doritos dinosaur game is actually kinda good too. Easy 200 gamerscore in like 20 min. It plays like pac-man in 3D, only you get to be the ghosts or pac-man. Could be really fun in multiplayer. Too bad there's no online.

It's about a million times better than Yaris, thank god.

It's really hit or miss, probably more so than a pawnshop since people don't think to bring games to HPB. Then sometimes they price according to Ebay/Amazon, so something like FFVII will be $40. But when it rains, it pours, I guess :)

forgot to mention, while getting $25 copies of SMG at blockbuster for gifts, I saw GTAIV 360 was $14.99 and all games $14.99 and under were B1G1. I was gonna get that and a PS3 GTAIV (since they had no more 360 versions), but the 360 copy was missing.

If you hold L1 and R1 while selecting your mode (original or arranged) you'll be given an option to change the music played in the game to the original versions.

I never found it though, but symphony was the best 40 dollars I ever spent.

Outrun 2006 is so bad ass. PC version is my version of choice. Plug in that 360 controller and go to town.

XBLA version is interesting, but it'll probably be just a port of the PC version or something.

I praise sony for coming up with a much more efficient way of viewing video game trailers--it's like a real theater with real people blocking your view. Only, you have the whole theater to yourself, but some assholes come in and sit right in front of you, even though the whole theater is wide open. And the people blocking your view are you and the friend you are talking to. So it's like you're watching yourself block the screen from you and you start yelling at yourself for blocking the screen, but then you realize you're not listening, so you get angry at yourself for blocking the screen, but there's nothing you can do about it because you can't stay mad at yourself. I'm starting to understand what they mean by 4D. Also, I hear they're patching it to remove voice chat pretty soon.

Just downloaded the new LBP update (1.07), and there's a lot of cool features that it brings, especially to the community level aspect, in terms of searching for levels.

The LittleBigStore is also cool, because it shows what costumes there are, and which ones you've purchased, allowing you to wear a costume completely by looking at it. A much wanted feature on my part. The only piece of DLC that doesn't show up though is my Nariko costume. Hmm...I wonder if that means they're working on a Heavenly Sword pack.

Sounds like it doesn't show up because you can't purchase it in the LBPstore? Do you have the GoW costumes? Do they show up?

F'sho. Beatmania absolutely sucks if you're new to it because it's so ridiculously punishing (particularly the timing window), and the controller takes some time to learn, since you've got 7 buttons and a scratch disc. But when you're good at it, it's fuckin' crack.

I'm pretty sure the game is running on the same engine as Nocturne and the DDS games, because those, too, exhibited that effect (I'm pretty sure it's intentional.) You can also tell, because of the 3rd person perspective the game usually has and the more expansive environments with less pre-rendered art. The Devil Summoner games and P3 seem to run on a completely different engine.

P4 reminds me a bit of DDS in that it's always gloomy wherever you are.

Hopefully you can still punch enemies in the face, too.

Both of the games I'm trying to get through now require it (Sonic Unleashed and Prince of Persia).

Instead of being able to go straight through the game, after you do a main part/level it's all "go collect (insert stupid items here) so you can continue playing what you want to play!"

They're meant for online or local multiplayer games.

Once you pass the signpost, no one else can join.
So the beginning of a level as well as the pod, is kind of like a waiting room.

VATS makes it awesome. Without that, it wouldn't be as good.

V.A.T.S. is pretty cool, you are right about it making the combat good. Without it the game's combat would not be very good, the 1st person aiming is a little off, and forget about 3rd person shooting. It helps to use V.A.T.S. even when you don't have any points left to use it, just to line up your shot in 1st person.

Question to anyone that's played Planescape before - is the "rest" button completely useless? The one and only time I have been able to use it was about 30 minutes into the game. I have yet to find a single other area that allows me to rest at will. It means either back-tracking to an inn or some shit or wasting items out in the (usually enemy-free) field.

EDIT: The whole "NPCs refuse to talk to you sometimes" bug is a pretty big pain in the ass, too.

I wrote about Mirror's Edge. I felt I wanted to wait a bit on that, because I was pretty annoyed by the game when I played it. Looking back, it wasn't bad, just has really frustratingly poorly designed bits.

Jeff Green (Newly Birthed EA Employee formerly of GFW/CGW magazine) says that word around the studios about Mirror's Edge is that it's being called a "disaster" from a sales perspective. :(

Persona 4 is seriously much better than I expected. I was really expecting the mirror image of Persona 3, and while yeah, it's similar, it feels like its own game. Likin' the story so far, too.

I'm a little pissed that I'm rolling on bank of ~$25 MIL and my goddamn "tattooed millionaire - earn $1 Million" cheese didn't unlock. That's just the first one off the top of my head. The crazy AI which sometimes slaughters it's own people, or decides to stand and give me a look of perlexedness while I put some hollowpoints in their brains...
