Question about Guitar Hero. I have pretty much all the games in the series (1 , 2 , 3 , Rocks the 80s , Aerosmith) but I'm still kinda a novice when it comes to playing the games. What would be the ideal order to play the games in terms of a gradual increase in challenge that would help me get better at them without getting punished too badly?

yeah Fable 2 is pretty dull. I had high hopes.

You know how sometimes you see things on the internet that are horrifying, and you go "wow, that's awful and it made me feel like a peice of shit"

Usually that's just a saying. This time, it's true.

Most definetly getting that Collectors Edition. Super Turbo has re-increased my frothing demand for Street Fighter.

Yes. But if you're going to do that, just suck it up and play RB. :P But seriously, GH2 > GH3... let's not even mention GH:A, since it's GH3 with a different soundtrack... to me, GH > GH2, because GH2 had a steeper jump from medium to hard... GH had a steep jump from easy to medium and medium to hard -- but GH2 on hard was the start of the insane that created GH3. GH also had a better tracklist and didn't allow such easy HOPO stuff...

Yes. This is what made it enjoyable for me. Using VATS on my escape and having some people lose their heads pulled me in... but once I hit the level cap, the VATS didn't satisfy anymore... the slomo gets really fucking annoying too.

I mentioned Aerosmith mainly cause I heard it was fairly easy. I asked my brother (whose much better at these games than I) whether I should play Aerosmith before 2 or 3 since then it would be like starting easier and getting harder , but he still suggested to at least work through 2 first then do Aero , then go to 3. Had no comments on the PS2 ones since he never played them.

So for straight difficulty curve purposes , following the series in order basically is the way to go , except maybe subbing in Aerosmith before 3?

I dunno about rocks the 80s.

GH1 and GH2 are very similar. But the window for HOPOs is more generous in GH2 so a lot of it, to me, doesn't feel like I'm "rocking out" or something...

As far as 1, 2, and 3 go, 3 is probably the most difficult. The jump from medium to hard in GH2 is like the jump from easy to medium in GH. When chika and I first started playing, easy was mostly easy, medium got hard about halfway through and hard was medium with the occasional orange note. I've not tried GH3 on medium... I played through on easy for the cheese first. But I did try the Halo 3 theme on medium and it kicked my ass. And I normally can play on medium with no problem.

I definitely got stuck at some point on hard on GH... but after playing enough GH2, I was able to go back and almost complete GH on hard. GH2 murders me on hard at about set six or seven. Not sure how far I could get on hard in GH3, but your general order ir probably about right... though it might be 2 -> 1 -> Rt80s -> A -> 3.

I play expert, and imothat is where you realy see the quality gap between 2 and 3. The second Is just way more fun thAn the third on the high levels because you really feel like you are playing the song and not just wildly flailing The buttons.

heavyd853
12-20-2008, 02:59 AM
The easy songs in RB1 and two fall in the GH2 range, but the hardest songs in the Rock Band series are damned hard. Think the last set of GH3, except imagine theres another set above that, and you have Rock Band.

Put another 3 or 4 hours into Oblivion. Finished the Fighter's Guild quests. Spent a long while trying to clear out random quests from my log--got all those done except for one Daedric Shrine quest where I need to level up my mysticism a good bit to cast a spell to make Black Stone.

Then got into the thieves guild and saved before getting into those quests. Guess now I'll try to finish those off, and then deal with the Arena, Mage's Guild and maybe all the Daedric Shrine quests before going on to the expansions.

Great game. Definitely need a guide (or gamefaqs and googling some maps in my case) to figure out a few quests here and there that don't give you much to go on though.

RelentlessRolento

Dark Brotherhood was tight. There was a thieves guild quest that pissed me off to no end though... that was probably the last one. The mage guild ones sucked.... fetch quest BS. I think the only ones I might've skipped were the fighter's guild. I did a large majority of the daedric shrine quests and knights of the nine.

My family owned an arcade for a short time... it was about the only small-business venture we ever tried. Unfortunately, the money wasn't there in the small town and we had to close down... I had a helluva good time there though, as I was able to play a lot of free shit on the jukebox and had my stepfather teaching me to shoot pool... I remember we had one of the thunderblade sitdown arcade machines too... that was fucking boss. And "house" tokens too... it was a shame we only had so many of them. 8\

I'm having trouble recalling -- I only remember thunderblade, the jukebox, and the pool table off the top of my head... it was probably about 1991 when we tried to do it. I would've killed to have a MK/MK2 machine or SF2T machine with house quarters. I used to show up 30 minutes before school in 7th and 8th grade when SF2 had become popular... I'd hold court for the 35 minutes before the bell rung in the little pizza place across the street from the school... usually only needed $.50 max. Those were the days. Now if only I could find a decent priced decent arcade stick so I could finish reliving my youth with SSFIITHDR....

I did blow $20 in one sitting on MK2 once, though. haha!

And I went to an arcade machine auction a few times. If you ever have the chance, go to one of those and bring your own extension cord. Free play all day on hundreds of machines if you can plug it in... amazing!

Ours were like that too... a local vendor put all the stuff in our place and we took a portion of the profits and did the advertising and shiznot.

We were allowed to have like $20 in house tokens a month or something -- it was good for keeping an 11 year old distracted while running the place after school.

I'd probably blown through that much in one session of MK2 as well -- when it came out TimeOut used to give out gift books for arcade tokens... I used to get them in my stocking -- I blew threw many a five dollar book in one sitting thanks to MK2 or UMK3. Mostly MK2 though...

Same here. It's so tempting to get rid of it especially during the holidays when I can get close to what I paid for it two years ago. But I told myself that I would not get rid of my systems ever again, because at some point I always want to re-buy it.

Selling a system IMO is pretty stupid, at least when the current console cycle is still going on.

Although I have put deep thought into selling my PSP, despite me knowing I want Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, which I think is vaporware for now, despite gameplay footage, considering it doesn't have a time frame yet (Not even 2009)

MGS4 progress: I'm in early Act 4.

The battle against Raging Raven was a little bit of a bitch, but more satisfying than Laughing Octopus because I always felt I was in danger instead of always feeling, "Where are you, bitch? Stop laughing."

The whole cutscene clusterfuck at the end of act 3 was actually pretty cool. Everyone from Liquid leaving Snake and Eva behind to the Holy Shit the System is His moment was really well done. Yay Kojima!

I pretty much wet myself when I got to replay the beginning of Shadow Moses Island MGS-style, complete with polygons and never-ending guards and security cams, oh my! And then going through the same area again MGS4-style was just as cool, hearing all of the voices/memories from MGS in the background.

I just blew up the GECKO using the MkIII to electrify his ass, btw. More progress today, hopefully.

Selling a system IMO is pretty stupid, at least when the current console cycle is still going on.

Depends. I got rid of my Wii this spring and haven't missed it at all. Tired of Nintendo franchises, don't like Japanese games like NMH, don't like casual games, hated it not being HD, hated motion controls, hated the crappy online gaming set up and I don't have time to play all the 360 games I'd like to so no need for a second console period. :D

I like video games. Doesn't mean I like the type of games on all systems or have the free time to keep up with good games on multiple systems.

The only people who need multiple consoles are the true hardcore gamers who have gaming as their favorite activity, have very broad gaming tastes, and are fortunate enough to have the free time to play a shit ton of games.

As a busy adult, with hobbies I enjoy more than gaming, and really only liking FPS and Western RPGs these days, I don't fit that bill. And thus selling the console was a wise move for me--especially given all my specific dislikes of it listed above.

Okay, MGS4 boss battles suck.

Laughing Octopus: Kill fodder, spend half the battle running around the area trying to find where she's hiding so I can blast her in the face while she annoyingly laughs in the background.

Raging Raven: Kill fodder, spend half the battle running up and down stairs/around in a circle waiting for her to sit still so I can blast her in the face while she annoying rages in the background.

Crying Wolf: Kill fodder, run around this huge-ass snowy area trying to find wherever the hell she is so I can shoot her in the face while she cries in the background. Then she pounces on me out of nowhere and I die.

So basically, each one amounts to me running around bored for 20 minutes just trying to find the boss and be able to hit it, hit it a couple of times, then get killed and swear because I wasted twenty minutes.

He was assuming that one cared for more than just Western blockbusters.

And I was just saying that him stating as fact that it's a bad idea to sell a console in the middle of a generation isn't applicable to everyone. Not everyone needs multiple consoles and not all consoles appeal to everyone.

Just like I was pointing out to ninja dog the other day the PC version of games isn't a superior experience for everyone as some people just hate computers and gaming on them.

People talk in absolutes rather than opinions too much on here.

Ah whatever, sorry dmaul for 'giving you shit'.

I'm sure I annoy more than my fair share of people on here.

No worries. And it's mutual. I'm not a fan of the hardcore gamer crowd in general so more people on here annoy me than not. But it's fun annoying them back when stuck in the office (especially on a Saturday) so it's all good. :D Also just a consequence of being older than most of the CAG regulars I guess.

That is kind of true, but then most of us have our quirks that we're known for.

Indeed. I just very much have a love/hate relationship with gaming. I enjoy playing, but feel guility playing as I should be spending more time finishing up my dissertation and working on scholarly publications to start building up my CV for tenure. As well as often wanting to spend more time watch movies, doing outdoors stuff etc.

Especially in a week like this were I've probably dumped 25 hours or so into Oblivion--and thus I'm stuck in the office on a Saturday trying to finish up some stuff I should have gotten done a couple days ago. Oh well, just finished and off to a holiday party at a friends now.

I think I might retract my "lame MGS4 bosses" post, because Vamp and Metal Gear Ray were pretty awesome.

Just finished Act 4; 5 is installing right now. So Vamp, Naomi, and Raiden all getting (apparently) killed off within a few cutscenes of each other surprised me a little. And in the case of Raiden (if he's actually dead, which, hey, seems like it with the heartstring-tugging voiceover flashbacK), he seemed pretty underused in the game--shows up, gets cut up by Vamp, spends the next act and a half recovering in the Nomad and chilling with Sunny, then shows up to kill Vamp and preform a heroic sacrifice. Kinda lame after they went to such great lengths to turn him into Super Robot Ninja Badass Guy. If anyone watches Lost, it reminded me of Michael's return and death in season 4; spends the whole time not doing much until it's Heroic Sacrifice Time.

Aww, Naomi died. Sad Otacon was sad.

And woah, the Metal Gear-on-Metal Gear action was badass, even if it was possibly the easiest boss fight so far.

So, Act 5. Here we go.

Wow, now I remember why I stopped playing MGS4 two months ago. When you're actually not in a cutscene or a boss battle, the gameplay is pretty lame.

COOL! I'm sneaking through this ship an all of a sudden this trapeze-artist of a dipshit leaps out of nowhere and lands in front of me. Did he see me from afar? No, because he turns around once he lands and THEN notices me.

So, shit, what I do? There's pretty much a million enemies, so, okay, I'll just try to run to the end of the area and take down as many as I can on my way there.

Hey, I made it, and I still have almost full health, somehow! Okay, open the door.

Oh.

I have to mash the triangle button to open it.

And as I'm doing that, a GECKO runs over and kicks me in the face.

FISSION MAILED.

Made it inches to the door.

Tranq'd the legs of the GECKO in front of it.

Then some asshole--

ALERT.

At least half a dozen FROGs immediantly appear.

Everyone is shooting.

Can't open the door.

metal gear can be hard, but then it can be easy if you play it smart.

it's still the easiest MGS out of all 4.

Jesus_S_Preston
12-20-2008, 10:13 PM
Fuck the other three. I tossed so many controllers playing those assholes.

I just...I think I've been spoiled by playing Splinter Cell. You know, with its being able to save anywhere and having good stealth gameplay.

And I think it's also because of one of my biggest problems with games: having to do stupid shit over and over again. For example, on this level: having to take care of the initial two batches of FROGs at the beginning. There's zero difficulty to it, and I've done it half a dozen times now. Why do I have to keep doing it? It's just like failing a mission in GTAIV and having to make two cross-game-world road trips to get back to the meat of the mission when you retry it. It just makes me want to put the game in the ocean.

That is kind of true, but then most of us have our quirks that we're known for.

I know I do , such as being picky about wanting a game on the system it's "best" on , or alternatively wanting to keep a series together on the same family of systems even if the game might be just as good if not better on another (wanting fallout 3 on pc instead of just getting it on the 360 is a good recent example).

Recently I've noticed another quirk developing , which is being more interested in playing the older cheap budget games I pick up from goozex/gamestop/amazon than playing the blockbuster GOTY games (Being more interested in playing Turok , Army of Two that I picked up from Gamefly than playing Fallout 3 , Prince of Persia , Fable 2 ect.).

There's a pattern where you don't even need to stun anyone... let me see if I can find it.
(I looked around for info on it, cause it frustrated the hell out of me too).

I think this is what I came across that helped immensely:

When you take control, equip the Mk2 and crawl to the eastern side of the
ship, which is the left in this case since you're facing south. Crawl down
the path here and shoot the two Haven Troopers that begin walking towards
you. If you can, aim for the one behind the other to avoid her partner from
getting suspicious. Once they've both been knocked out, continue down the
side of the ship. Another pair of Haven Troopers jump down from the second
floor in front of you, so take them out as well.

Keep heading down this path until you reach the two Haven Troopers' bodies.
Another Trooper will begin walking in Snake's direction, and they may become
suspicious if they see the bodies lying around. Quickly knock her out with a
headshot, and wait here for a moment. Two more Troopers are patrolling this
area, but you can wait for them to walk away and sneak by. As you approach
your last victim's body, another Haven Trooper be show up farther down -
knock her out, too.

Here's where the trouble can begin if you slip up. A Gekko is roaming around
the south end of the bow - directly in front of the porthole you need to
enter. We can worry about that later, however, as the task at the moment is
to simply reach the exit first. There are some crates and a large cylindrical
tank labeled "R1" in front of you, so stand up and hug the tank to squeeze
between them and avoid entering the main area where the Gekko is. Once on the
other side, begin crawling south again, but keep an eye on your radar for any
hostile blips. Two more Haven Troopers will jump down from the second floor,
so keep your Mk2 on hand and take them out.

From here it's a straight run to the exit, but there's a catch. The door you
need to go through is airtight, and you have to turn the handle several times
before it opens. This can create problems if you've set off an alert, as you
probably won't have the time to open it before being attacked.

With this in mind, crawl around the corner and hide behind a crate east of
the door. A second Gekko will jump down directly in front of the door, but
Mei Ling comes through when it counts, and one of her ship's canons hits the
Gekko, destroying it. With that out of the way, wait for the remaining Gekko
to walk away, and then quickly run over and open the door. Once inside, grab
all of the items and enter the elevator.

I was kinda wondering that too about the simpsons game. I have both the DS and the 360 version since they are both supposed to play like different games , but I was curious how similar the story and script were between the two.

And you guys are out of your minds. It's Always Sunny is great.

(actually, I watched the first season and quit when it was first on. I just recently discovered it on Hulu and love it.)

I watched some of the first season when it first came on and it didn't do a thing for me. When I heard they were bringing in Devito for season 2 I came back since I like Danny Devito. He was about the only thing I liked in the few episodes of season 2 I watched. I ultimately gave up on the show again.

Also, after buying the game, if you create an account and then register your CD Key with the Blizzard store, you can download a digital copy of your game on any PC as many times as you wish, just like Steam :)

I thought the fight against Elika's father was a breeze after honing my skills against some of the other asshole bosses (I hated the Alchemist a lot... the spitting shit the Hunter started to do got old real quick!)... I was aggravated by not having a choice on cutting down the trees and reviving Elika again. Aaaaand I've fininished Planescape: Torment. Thoughts are as follows...

Basic grinding is mostly irrelevant. 75% of the EXP seems to come through quests and conversations.
Party members are often irrelevant since they force EXP division. I probably should have just gone with four or five people. Honestly, Morte the Floating Skull was probably my best non-main-character fighter 'cause at least his HP wasn't made of suck.
Black Isle really loved the mothafuckin' whores.
Black Isle also sucked at doing AI. It seems like everyone in both Torment and Fallout 2 would be afflicted with temporary mental retardation about 30 seconds into a fight without fail.
The last bit of the game was pretty weak. Especially the second run through Curst. The enemy AI basically gave up all of the I in favour of the A and tried to compensate by throwing huge numbers of infinitely respawning enemies at you. Basically just turned into some easy-as-fuck grinding.
The game gives you a rest button, but I found only three places that allowed me to use it. One was an irrelevant plot detail, one was totally out of the way, and one was useful but stuck in the middle of that abomination of a fight in Curst.
The game also kinda gave a pretty big "Fuck you!" to anyone who wanted to use axes and not be a bad guy. All the really cool axes were evil only, and it was too late to switch my character over to anything worse than neutral.
Tattoos > Armour.
Daggers > Swords, apparently.
Scottish accent = distracting. Especially whe only one god damn character in the entire game has it.
Jennifer Hale has done voice acting for every single game in existence.

Damn good game overall with some major bugs and bad AI.

I also saw this the few minutes I spent checking Home out. Every time a female avatar would stand in one spot for more than three seconds, guys would start crowding around it. I thought it was funny so I just hung back listening in to the conversations, and it was pathetic. Yes, because a failing economy and less than quality game design had nothing to do with it. It was simply the cost of making graphics look better and have more pixels. That's what caused all these studios to fail/close.

You know, I tried this out a couple years ago after hearing all the praise, and I enjoyed it, but I never got to the end. I was getting fucked up by sewer rats at some point and couldn't progress. I remember liking that I had so many quests, but the hub world/city/whatever was huge and I couldn't remember where to find the people that gave me the quests. I intend to start it again someday, but it's a very low priority.

My thoughts exactly. If the economy weren't in the shitter right now I might agree with you DMK , but unfortunately this isn't like the 1983 crash. Outside forces were almost certainly to blame.

Fixed. Well, Factor 5 at least. Never played a FR or BB game.

The Rogue Squad games on the 64 and GCN were all solid (except maybe RS3 which was merely average). And I know I've mentioned it before but I seem to be in the minority in feeling that the Timesplitters games were all solid as well. As for Black Box , Skate was good , although I had a hard time getting the hang of it , and the NFS series was , well the NFS series. Good for what it was but hasn't been anything great in years.

I think the bigger twist/irony here is that Free Radical and Factor 5s last games were both PS3 exclusives.

I felt like it was a really polished version of the 64 game. Although one odd thing that I had noted is that after I had played the GCN game , then went back and played the 64 one , that the 64 one seemed a lot easier. Which is strange since the GCN didn't seem that hard to begin with while the 64 seemed really tough when it first came out.

Trying to think what that could have been. Was that the level that was supposed to be near the end of episode 6 (final battle over Endor) or the level where you had to stall the star destroyer while the recon ship escaped?

In either case I can't think of what item might have been so important to helping you win. Then again I haven't played the game in a few years either so my memory isn't helping much.

It's true that absolutely nothing exciting happens in West Palm Beach. At least, nothing interesting happened when I was there. The cost of staying in the rich people part of town, I guess.

Along the same lines as the Guitar Hero question I asked the other night , how hard is Call of Duty 2 and 3 on Veteran? I know that to get all the achievements in 2 I have to beat the whole game on veteran (not sure about 3 but I'm sure I would there too since its the same way in 4 as well) and wanted to get an idea of how tough it is , as well as would it be better to play though the game once on normal or hardened before playing through on veteran?

Call of Duty 2 was... actually fucking annoying on Veteran, particularly because of the checkpoint save system. I said "fuck it" around the time I got to the first part where you stay in that one house or whatever and fend off whoever your enemies were.

I can't believe I actually liked that game at one point...

Playing a lot of Saints Row 2. It's a really fun game.

From what I've been told CoD2 on veteran is about the same as CoD4 on hardened.
CoD3 is hard to say, many people straight up said "fuck this game" because it was programmed wonderfully and masterfully by Treyarch.

SR2 felt like "Saints Row 1: The Expansion Pack" -- the graphics were terrible... and while the respect system is still licking the taint of some homeless bum, at least some of the activities weren't frustratingly difficult to complete at higher levels.

I definitely wouldn't say SR2 has terrible graphics, but they could do with improvement. Other than that I have no complaints. It's wicked easy to get respect, and as the self-proclaimed biggest Koei fan on CAG I think we all know how I feel about "more of the same."

Yes, because a failing economy and less than quality game design had nothing to do with it. It was simply the cost of making graphics look better and have more pixels. That's what caused all these studios to fail/close.
Sales and revenues in the industry are at record highs. Look at the list of recently dead studios on the last page. They are western, small, and had recent HD exclusive flops. This is no coincidence.

Yep. And I couldn't care less about the companies that have gone. Some made good games in the past. But they dug their own graves making crappy games like Lair that doomed them. Not to mention making games PS3 exclusive--never wise to limit yourself to the last place console. I really won't miss any of the recent failures. Outside of the Rogue Squadron games I never liked much any of them did anyway.

There are plenty of devs making FPS and WRPGs to keep me happy. Far more than I can play. And I'm enjoying gaming the most since the SNES days so there's definitely been no HD crash for me. My interest was at an all time low at the end of last generation, and now raised up a bit. Just wish I had more time to play all these great games!

I get tired of all the anti-HD crap from DMK. It's good, the developers making shit games should die off. It's the nature of business. You make games that sell or you go out of business. There are plenty of developers making great games that are selling millions on the HD consoles. There's plenty of competition. I realize it sucks if the genre's you like have died of (or are dwindling), but that's life. Things change and you either go with the flow or decide it's not for you and move on to other things (like just being a retro gamer).

The cut scenes were pathetic. The hair rendering in particular. I remember Johnny Gat's hair looking like something that come out of the PS1 days.

And I believe EA is having layoffs and Midway is in deep shit. Koei and Tecmo had to merge, right? Activision and Blizzard merged. Take Two was in financial troubles before the smashing numbers that GTAIV put up on the "2nd, 3rd, and 4th place 'platforms'". Let's blame all this on HD graphics.

What I really wonder is this:

If the Wii flopped... if Nintendo didn't get lucky with their "new" demographic... would they have dropped out of the console game? Would they have moved exclusively to making handhelds? Would they have gone the route of Sega and developed games for the other two platforms?

And the best question of all: What would DMK have to play then? Would he eat humble pie and play the next mario kart on xbox 360 or ps3 in 1080p HD graphics?

I was really unimpressed by Rogue Squadron II on Gamecube. I thought if it didn't have the Star Wars name on it, reviews would've been a lot lower. Then Lair came out, and, well...
No it would have still been a solid game without the Star Wars name, it just wouldn't have sold nearly as well. Now Lair... even the Star Wars wouldn't have saved it.

Nintendo moving to exclusively handheld would be the best thing. I hope their next console fails so hard that this becomes their only option.

Can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to dl the RE5 demo+burn it to a disc? As in, one which explicitly tells me what to do and what programs to do it with.

Hey so two questions-

How much bullshit is involved in playing Infinite Undiscovery?

I love The Last Remnant, but do you think a guide is really necessary?

finally

Why is DMK such an ass and so wrong all the time? DMK+TMK=the worst

I think I want to play Planescape Torment and Arcanum now. I shall track these down.

I'm on the fence with Planescape Torment. It seems like it was really cool back in the day, but it's ultimately held down by a lot of problems. Perhaps I'm mistaken?

IU is really mediocre. If you find it cheap, then go for it. Other than that don't bother.

How is DMK ever wrong? The dude does nothing but post facts & numbers to back up his statement. where as TMK, as much as we're buds, just really likes Sony, and states nothing but opinion.

Okay that was a bit strongly worded. But calling it the HD-crash is just absurd.

Higher stakes and bad economy means more shakeouts for the people who do it wrong.

And Factor Five, Free Radical, and Blackbox were most certainly doing it wrong.

I'd go ahead and say any 3rd party doing exclusive PS3 games is doing it wrong.

I remember having to pilot an A-Wing and destroy a bunch of pieces of a SD. The problem is that getting anywhere near a SD gets you killed almost immediately. A couple levels earlier, if you fly to a random, out of the way spot, you get an A-wing armor upgrade.

He just declared the closing of 3 small studios "the HD crash."

-Never4ever-

This is true. Also, DMK has a valid point; maybe going HD and focusing on Graphics might just kill the Gaming industry.

Lets say Nintendo failed super hard with the Gamecube and GBA, lets say the DS & Wii never arrived. Nintendo upped and disappeared. Now look at the VG industry Minus everything Nintendo and it's all starting to look extremely bleak.

I think you guys are getting all uppity because you don't like thinking that maybe, just maybe we're all part of the problem. That all the focus on Graphics, HD and the whole technological arms race is what's killing Gaming.

I do agree though, 3rd party exclusives on EITHER of the 2nd tier systems is a terrible idea, but especially the PS3.

He just declared the closing of 3 small studios "the HD crash."

 As a joke. besides in the context of the con-vo between him and Chacarana, it seems like they're both predicting the coming end of Gaming, not that it already occurred.

I'm just sayin' that there's a shakeout a'comin. And one that needs to happen given how oversaturated the market is with pure garbage these days.

Sadly, I'm sure Phoenix (that's the name of that Wii publisher, right?) will survive and probably come out on top.

The games prolly wouldn't sell because they're real games (aside from being shit), but they also wouldn't have cost a boatload of $$ to make. So unfortunately, Free Radical would live to see another game with monkeys toting guns.

That's the last thing anyone needs.

So my mom wants to know what game(s) to get me for Christmas. Assuming she can only buy one of these two, should I get Persona 4 or Call of Duty 5? I want both pretty bad, but I'm dying to play P4.

I watched a few episodes of the 1up show today on the road. My SF4 hype got even higher with the little segment they did on it. I'm surprised at how much I like a show that is just about videogames.

I'll think I'll play a little more PoP (with a keyboard, stupid M$ and their shitty adapters) and then go start Persona 3 over. I'm only like 12 hours in, I haven't played it in forever so I'll be all lost, and I want to just put it on easy so I can play through the game and enjoy it and not have to do a bunch of grinding.
