I prefer the small size of the Persona 4 guide. (It's like Nocturne's guide). It makes it easier to manage in small book form, rather than super ultra mega gay size.

Merry Christmas GGT!

I was surprised by the couple of gifts my wife got me, a skeleton watch, a beard/mustache trimmer and some cologne. Most of my gaming holiday purchases were done already, but now I can open them and play them.
Dead Space,No More Heroes,Valkyria Chronicles,Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Army of Two.

My kids got Lego Indy Jones and Batman, Kung-Fu Panda, Wall-E.

My backlog is going to full for sometime. It's a good thing to have.

Also, nice headphones are totally worth it. It'll be nice to have something at school that isn't complete garbage. I seriously don't know how college kids can use those ipod earbuds or like... that ihome nonsense like it's something to do.

I was a little annoyed when they started releasing the series in the 2 disk editions like 2 years ago , then as soon as they finish the series that way they finally started doing season sets. I had like the first 4 two disk ones before the switch.:bomb: At least I was able to sell them off for a decent amount back , and now can have the whole series in 3 or 4 season packs instead of like 12 two disk packs.

Thats one of the few older shows I have been putting on watching. I guess now is the time to pick up the Season Boxsets since they are pretty cheap (atleast compared to the old boxsets)

iPods are slick. I love my Ipod touch. Lots of good and exclusive games coming out for it too. It's a better purchase than the PSP for sure.

I never carry much music around though so the storage isn't an issue. I mostly use mine just for podcasts and web browsing.

Just opened Fallout 3. I haven't done anything with the disc though other than put it in the CD binder.

Actually, I'm not sure what I want to do with Medieval II and Supreme Commander... I haven't played either of them yet. They're both supposed to be excellent (and I'm not someone who likes strategy games very often, yet I felt motivated to pick them up), but I dunno. Hmm..

So I sold it on craigslist yesterday for $320 and ordered an apple refurb 80gb classic for half the price.

Got Left 4 Dead downloading on my PC right now since I snagged off steam for $37. Other than that, grabbed 2 more DS games today from TRU to bring me to 51 DS titles, and picked up U.N. Squadron from a local store. Gonna go to the different gamestops tomorrow or sunday to see what games I can grab with B2G1.

Edit: I also have my new graphics card coming in the mail as well. Looking forward to finally playing Dead Space and Fallout 3 since they've been sitting on my hdd since they came out.

With Street Fighter IV, I dunno... Finally back from seeing the folks. I had a great Christmas and I hope you all did as well.

Managed to beat DQ IV while I was away and I've already started on Chrono Trigger DS. I love this game.

But now to get back to beating Persona 4. I was about in the middle of October if I recall. Hopefully I can have it done by the end of the year and get started on more of the huge backlog of games that I've accumulated over the past couple of months.

I got quantum of solace today because I had a gift card to use from christmas. I hope it's okay. Word was that it's a simple shooter with decent multiplayer. About average. But I like the license and the comparisons to Goldeneye Multiplayer. Worst case is I flip it back on amazon.

I never loved a werehog. I just was under the mistaken impression that the game wasn't going to force me to play those werehog bits multiple times to proceed. InuFaye had the same reaction as me. If Sonic Unleashed made you just play the werehog parts only once and cut the bullshit town/talking to people parts, it would be a fun game. But it piles on the bullshit and covers anything good in it.

Played some more Rune Factory 2 over the holiday. It seems a lot more like a regular Harvest Moon than the first game was, which is sort of disappointing. I'll stick with it though.

I didn't really like Soul Calibur 4 as it didn't add much of anything new to the series. The online play can be fun, but there's a lot of un-fun players. Maybe I just never got into the groove or learned well enough to counter quick kilik players (or the netcode sucks and doesn't allow defense) but the online was not fun.

I'd say your $15 is better spent on Super Turbo, but I prefer Street Fighter to Soul Calibur on the whole.

Picked up Korg DS-10 in NYC today (thanks again for the input, guys). Also, I got my husband Skate for Christmas (among other things), and he stayed up late last night playing it, so I guess I did good there ;) One of the gifts he got me was de Blob, but I haven't started it yet; I've been exhausted since getting home, and I want to finish some other games first.

Forgot to mention that I didn't do any gaming on Friday because (at one point) the entire island of Oahu had a power outage. Electrical storm damaged some lines and those areas became unstable. Since we don't really have a "grid" so to speak, the system just shut everything down as a safety measure.

Only people with generators/backups (like Obama) weren't in the dark. My area was powerless for a good 8 hours or so.

Progress was made today!

Parts were ordered today! Thanks LizardLick! I hope my button holes don't end up being too close together. I followed the template pretty exactly, my dad's small engine shop has some pretty awesome equipment for getting this done. A digital readout with the drill press for measuring hole placement worked really well. Just gotta wait for the joystick to get here to drill out a square for the housing to sit in.

I got All white Sanwa 30mm buttons and a white ball top Sanwa JLF-TP-8 joystick! Sweet! Going to put some bitchin Chun Li art on there eventually too.

The example layout on slagcoin.com used the left 6 buttons in his templates. It "feels" right with the buttons like that. I was worried the stick is too close, but that can always be moved over, since all you're doing is making a 2 inch square in the wood for it to sit in.

I can see myself playing lots of Super Turbo now and that stick probably will only end up costing around $80-90 for the parts. $60 of that is the sanwa parts. They aren't cheap.

Hmm, odd about Super Turbo. Whenever I search for ranked matches I usually get 10-20 show up and I can usually host a game and get a player within a few minutes. Guess it must be different network conditions and such.

I've played a few hondas, none of them good. At least not good enough to get an Ochio Throw pattern down. Blanka players are the worst. He's so fucking fast and all they do is turtle up and use the ball if you're not blocking. I'm getting better at it, he's just so fast between the ball, the shock, and the jump in roundhouse that when you guess wrong you get a huge disadvantage. At least as chun li.

By the end of today, I should have 30 PS3 games and 15 360.
Still lots on my "to buy" list.

All of those were free (besides Kill Bill).

I haven't got a chance to look at Training Day yet, because I haven't found a cheap PS3.

Most of those early Blu-Rays weren't very impressive.

I think Training Day is the worst of all. Believe there was some controversy as it was proven it wasn't really HD.

The rest of those though, I think look pretty good.

I was going to buy Dark Knight on BD. But all Target had was the version with the mask... I wasn't paying an extra for something I don't want. I guess I'll check and see if they stock more when I working the overnight today. I can pick it up when I go on break.

I've been playing a little Naruto: UNS the last few days. I'm not really like the mission mode that much. They keep giving me fights with my opponents with speed and/or strength boosts which is pretty annoying sometimes. I could also do without the hub world as well. The village just feels so lifeless and getting around can be a chore.

I just buy BRs of select stuff. Nowadays, it's mostly family films for the kids and maybe some TV season collections of shows I don't get to watch real time in addition to faves of mine like Iron Man or TDK.

But I'm considering keeping my netflix sub going, to limit my movie purchases some more.

They're going to start officially airing Shippuuden online in January.

I should have been more clear. It's not CN thats going to be running them. Its VIZ themselves and I believe they will be airing the series both from the beginning as well as new episodes as they come out.

30 was all I was expecting. I think I'll throw them up on half for 40 shipped.
