Well, Microsoft has officially suspended my Live account, even though I have a valid 3 month subscription card that I have repeatedly tried to activate. The menus on the Xbox keep sending me in circles, so I guess there is no recourse but to call 1-800-4MYXBOX. I really hope there is a straight-forward solution to this problem. :pray:

Well, in my humble opinion, that's bullshit. I've been paying for Live on a month-to-month schedule for a while now. I know it's a premium, but I simply found it easier to pay that way. Microsoft has had my loyal service for a while now (at a premium!), and if they refuse to cut me a break on this, I vow to sell my Xbox 360 and all related games/accessories. I'm tired of the nickel and diming, and most of all the hassle. Even if it doesn't mean much to MS' bottom line, at least I will be standing up against what gaming is becoming.

It's only because you let it go past the due date. If you can added the sub card before, it wouldn't be a problem.

Once you pay the fee you owe them, you can use the card.

Only good thing is that it took a long, long time for the original SR to drop to sub $30 levels, IIRC, so getting it sub $40 within a few months seems like an ok compromise IMO.

Cool, Demon's Soul has some kind of online co-op mode... or something.
I don't quite understand this.
So this post is what we know so far from Demon's Souls online co-op and is corrected (in order not to confuse others even more):

it's a new sort of co-op called "Soul sign" When you die in the game (offline), you became a soul and can sign online. As a soul, you are summoned to aid other players on their adventure. The other one being still alive.

About death, when you become a soul, there will be blood left to the place that you died.
It seems the other player can find your blood, and you will be revived again that way. Together the players will be stronger and defeat harder enemies. There's also many blood scattered that have no use, so it's not going to be an easy job.

The game will be released on 5 February next year in Japan.

Hey GGT, long time no see.

Anyway, my gaming has been trying to beat Uncharted a 2nd time (getting all the trophies). I'm around 92% or so complete and enjoying my play time again.

I finally figured out (thanks to one CAG helping me out) my problem in Lost Odyssey, so that should make a certain boss battle a few hours into the game much easier (I kept dying, so I stopped).

I've played tons and tons of MotorStorm: PR on PS3. I'm liking it the more I play it (especially because of the awesome track designs). I'm on Rank 6 and the game is getting pretty hard.

I got BioShock for Christmas and played it for around 2hours. I need to put more time into that and Dead Space. I picked up Silent Hill: Homecoming for $15 at Target, but I barely played it (so far it hasn't been too bad).

On PSN I've been playing a lot of Crash Commando and Lumines Supernova. Sucks that I can't download a gamesave for Lumines Supernova like I use to do with the PSP ones (so I could have all skins, lol).

I sometimes play Bomberman Blast on Wii. The game is fun to play.

I picked up Halo 3 finally, but still debating whether I'll open it (got it for $30 new at Target, due to rain check).

I didn't get P4 yet, but I did get Kingdom Hearts: CoM Remix on PS2. Enjoying it so far, but I just really like KH games. I'm REALLY tempted to buy Ar Tonelico 2 (my current sig/avatar), but I'm honestly not sure if I'll even have the time to play it. There's tons of stuff to buy in Q1, but sadly I'll pass most of it up.

Oh yeah, I'm very happy to hear Warriors Orochi 1 and 2 will be coming to PS3 in a collection. I'll probably just wait for it and buy it (never bought WO2).

yeah, any type of grind game or roguelike on a portable is something I love... so saying that I look forward to the new Phantasy Star Portable as well.

... after sayign that, I realized I enjoy more games every year that are released in the first half more than the second half... last year it was No More Heroes, the year before was Hotel Dusk, and the year before that was Dead Rising (I think)... it makes sense though since I'm not as much into big holiday titles though I still love em.

gears is a little more weighted down, but a little floaty. At least in gears the weapons felt like they ripped through meat, where in Halo it felt like shooting marshmallows at people.

also, Killzone has the best reload animations... oddly that's always been my favorite thing from the franchise.

Hard to describe... something with the way looking around worked... the controls... they were too smooth or something (in the Haze demo).

The way the movement of the camera/player looks in this, it seems similar... like the movement wouldn't "feel" right from the controller... then again, I have this problem with some other PS3 games, so maybe it's something with the way developers are forced to code for the platform.

I'm back to Far Cry 2 now, trying to play games in order from before the holiday rush. This was the first one I picked up. Man, this game is fucking awesome. Such good atmosphere. Driving does take a bit too long and the enemies take too many bullets to kill, but there's so much to like in this game. I even enjoy the multiplayer and map editor.

Halo Wars looks poopy. So does Killzone 2 though, sorta. Killzone 2 is pretty, but I don't see it taking off either in an originality or sales sense. Hope it does better than Resistance 2 did.

I'm loving DQIV. I'm actually not trying to rush through it now. Though I'm not sure what the story is yet. It's like a fucking Tarintino movie or something.

Fallout 3 is also very excellent. I'm pissed I put this game off for so long. Should I use ammo sparingly? Shooting people's heads off is too good to not do it every time.

Man, I am playing the shit out of Nuts and Bolts lately. I got it from my parents for xmas and almost returned it. I wasn't super excited about the demo when I played it and the mixed reviews made me a little nervous but now I am glad I opened it.

If you aren't into creating the vehicles, you'll probably not like the game, but I'm really having fun creating stuff and I didn't think I would be.

It's not the prettiest stick ever, but it's awesome to use. It needs art on the panel, finishing, and paint yet. Then I'll be satisfied. Oh and a speaker wire adapter to plug through the headset into the PCB.

I know of a place I can get some bitchin sublimated art on aluminum that would probably look good under the plexiglass, but probably would also look odd with the wood and also might make the panel too thick again for the buttons to screw on, as they're secure, but close now.

I think I really noticed it when I got to that Recreational Park area. The ground is a solid gray color and the cars are all solid colors with no detail or polish. It almost feels like it the game was meant to go through another "pass" but gut rushed out the door instead.

yeah, I woke up at 10 this morning, got up, started download, shut off my system (backgrnd dld), headed to school, worked for 7 hours on school and animation project, just got home an hour ago, played for a bit = happy as fuck.



My pixel castle animation is coming along nicely. been in good talks with the chiptunes music composer. Once I start filming my "ultraman" style movie next week I'm going to be contacting other chiptune artists. If all falls into place I'm going to be holding a chiptunes local concert here in Miami for the film premier. if all goes well and I've got enough cash flow, I'll be flying a few Fighter Thread people down to the premier since they have an odd involvement with the film :bouncy:

I can't say the # exactly. But we weren't lying when it was first announced as LIMITED.

The TE will be the hardest to find. Then the other two might be hard to find as not all GameStop stores will carry them.

The FightPads, depending on how they sell through, could be hard to find as well.

I hope some sites put up impressions of the fight pads soon though.

I worked long and hard on these, so I hope those of you that do get some of this stuff... please let me know your impressions on them.

It will be a preference thing.

It is structured similar to the Saturn one. Not as firm. Softer feel.

So you either will like it over the Saturn or you won't.

Personally. My unbiased opinion. I think for Street Fighter, the SF4 fightpad is superior to the Saturn one.

But for 3D fighters (much like the Saturn pad), the fightpad isn't as good.

BUT!

Anything's better than the 360 dpad lol.

I would go for the $80 one (i wouldn't even be able to use the $150 to it's potential) but I can't stand the game art.
I hope the sticks do well and there's a regular release for them. (and the pads)

How does the Fighter IV FightStick compare to the HORI Real Arcade Pro. EX ?

You can't change the art on the regular FightStick, it's a decal. I mean you can put new art OVER it. But it's not like the TE stick.


Also, comparing a Hori Real Arcade PRO EX vs the regular FightStick isn't fair.

Sanwa wins in that case. But the price difference between those two is $80 vs $125.

+ the size difference is too big.

Personally, I'd get an EX if you had to pick between those two.

I like the art better on the lower grade SF4 stick, but the layout and overall base of the controller a lot better on the TE.

Cool to see the same parts my stick has in the pictures there. Except mine are screw in sanwa buttons. lol.

I'm sorry, dallow. I don't think I'll be able to finish Resistance 2. It's really bad.

I'm going to exchange it at GS tomorrow for LBP or something else (not sure yet).
