GOTY=MGS4/DMC4 for me. MGS4 is the best game ever IMO, but I've played DMC4 far more, and I've enjoyed it a ton, so it's a toss up for me.

Other than that, for handhelds it would probably be Crisis Core for me. That game was way better than I expected it to be.

Yeah, IU gets better. It has probably the worst intro sequence of any game. Especially the part in the woods, ugh. After you finish it though it gets a lot better. Not as good as ToV, but a decent game.

Alright! I just beat Mega Man 9 for the second time! A lot quicker this time, and I believe I did it in under an hour. I'm still sitting through the credits right now. I went through the Castle with 1 M Tank (got it in the castle) and 2 Energy Tanks (1 I also got in the Castle), as well as a 1/2 Damage item. I'll edit in the official time as well as a picture.

EDIT: OFFICIAL TIME: 48 minutes, 34 seconds! JITTERBUG, Tango and Waltz as well as ALMOST INVINCIBLE and Air Shoes!

Played a bit of Saints Row 2 this weekend, it's a lot of fun. I'm enjoying it way more than GTA4. Also played a bit of Dead Space, awesome game.

Played a few PSP games as well. My $10 Alien Syndrome turned up from Target via Amazon. I don't know why it was reviewed so poorly, seems ok to me. Might be a bit generic, maybe that was the problem.

Cancelled my Fable 2 pre-order, so probably no new games till Fallout 3 next week.

Why the fable cancellation?

Cos I bought Dead Space, SR2 and Fifa 09 last week, and I still have about 30 games sealed and another 20-30 that I've started and not finished. I also have Fallout 3 coming next week.

Didn't seem much point adding another game to the backlog. The deal from Amazon for the $10 GC didn't seem that great and I suspect Fable 2 might be a quick-dropper. Even if it doesn't drop quick I can pick it up next year when I've thinned out my collection a bit.

Credit about 5 of those hours to being stupidly obsessed with making money in Torneko's shop by going back and forth flipping armor between towns, and credit another 5 to the freaking addictive monster arena betting minigame.

I also didn't do much with the pioneer town or do the 6th chapter. I feel like i got my money's worth and I absolutely LOVED the game. Will buy again when it's cheaper.

What a pain in the ass. Because my respect went down, am I not able to access all the missions?

I think if you tell the system to shut down when it's done downloading, it installs for you. Just noticed today that it installs all your uninstalled stuff before shutting down. Which was kind of bad for me, in this case.

I'm right now planning on buying no PS3 games for full price and maybe Fable 2 and GOW2 for 360. Fallout 3 I'll get for PC. That's about it.

Games I want are Project Origin PC, SFIV, RE5, and Tekken 6. And they all come out next year.

My PS3 plays SCIV, Tekken 5 DR, and Blurays. My 360 plays VF5. That's about all I regularly play on them.

I'm very much the same way , even though for me it does not have to be strictly a game that I really like , but any game that I plan on adding to my collection.

Because of that I usually do a lot of comparison checking on different review sites (1up , gamespot , IGN , Metacritic) to try and get an idea of whether one version is superior to the others. In cases where it's not (as has been often the case this gen) I usually either go with the 360 version for achievements , or whatever system the game seems to be the best "fit" on (ex. Sonic Unleashed will be on all 3 systems , but it may end up being the best fit on the wii).

Just me being strange. Been like that about my games since the PS1/N64 gen , when I was first able to start really buying games on my own.

I hate that too. Sites seem to be getting worse about that now more than ever. Unless there is something really noticeable between the versions they don't even bring it up (which I guess makes sense but still).

Even worse about gamespot is that they used to have the really helpful *BEST* tags next to the system that it was the best version on , but when they recently updated the site , they appear to have gotten rid of all of them. Guess because most newer games were not even getting the tags anyway. Last game I had remembered getting one was Ikaruga , where the 360 version was tagged best.

Sony is such a fucking failure compared to PS2. I have like 30 PS2 games next to my meager PS3 collection.
