Also, I want to buy new to support the devs. Although I'm not a big SRPG person, the game seemed to have easy to learn mechanics based off of the demo that I played.

Either that or wait and use it on Killzone 2.

hm decisions decisions. Played through more of Ratceht and Clank:TOD last night, and I think its might be my personal favorite of the series (I've played 1, GC, and UYA). It finally has good mechanics for aiming/strafing and the balance between guns and everthing seems really polished.

Agreed. I never could get into the Sonic series. The fast sections had to much trial and error, and the slower more traditional platforming sections were just bland and didn't have enough to do and explore compared to the Mario games. Lack of cool power ups hurt it for me as well.

What's your problem with Remix's ranked matches?

Quickmatch never works.
When I select a match out of the list, 80% of the time I get the "this game is no longer available" message. 10% of the time, I get in the 1 v 1 and the host just sits there. The other 10% of the time, it's great. Except that after the successful match I have to go back through the whole fucking process again. It'd be much nicer if it worked like Tekken 5 DR on the PS3. Or like it's private matches...

I only do "create match" in SSF2HDR ranked and it always works. For some reason "quick match" options in any online game never seem to work correctly for me.

So I found out they made some moves in SFIV harder to pull off with Cammy (my main) so they're basically the classic style moves, and on HDR, I cannot, for the life of me pull these moves off with my Fight Pad. Especially the Hooligan Throw considering it's so close to the Spinning Backfist in terms of how you do it.

Anyways, I went through HDR again, this time on Hard Mode, with Cammy (In HDR mode, of course) and I manged to beat it without too many issues. Zangief gave me the most issues. On harder difficulties the AI is a lot less spam happy, but it still happens. As a trade-off, they're more pixel perfect than ever with their timing. How I hit Sagat with a Super attack and die while he doesn't is beyond me when we both have no health.

The inputs are the older versions, but in general the timing is ridiculously forgiving in SFIV compared to super turbo.

So far I'm more than halfway through in Crisis Core... I have to say I'm very impressed how well it is at being closely attached to the main FFVII story while not fucking up ever.

Interestingly, it seems the console version is gimped again if IGN's review is any indication. Seems strange since they were trying to make the game for consoles this time... well, whatever. Pickin' up that PC version when I get a chance. Though SFIV comes first.
