Since they've only really had two games in the series to follow the new control style , it seems kinda strange to make a big deal about "rebooting" it if that's all they meant. Then again it's kinda hard to know what to go on based off of a vague quote such as this:

Capcom's producer Jun Takeuchi mentioned that Biohazard 5 [Resident Evil 5] will be the last game of its kind in the series. Biohazard 6 [Resident Evil 6] will be a reboot of the series, although this does not suggest anything wrong with the current direction.It could certainly go either way. The changing the gameplay thing does make a bit more sense though , following that they plan to keep the numbering for the games and not restart at 1.

So I just bought Braid this morning and I've just now finished it. And I've come to the conclusion that is completely okay. Definitely not worth $15, and at $10...just might be worth it. It doesn't have a lot of replay value, and I probably won't play it again. It's somewhat enjoyable, if not a little frustrating at times due to the precise nature of some of the puzzles. Overall...I'd give it a 7/10.

Though I may be able to handle it this time around. Create Fighting Warriors and putting my copy of FF9 on my psp. There's a message in the capital letters on the first three words I just don't know how "legal" talking about putting my own games on it is looked upon.

And I'm very eager to try out the KZ2 demo tomorrow.

My understanding (such that it is of course) is that 360 and PC tools are more or less the same--at least the code is portable between the two. PS3 is the odd man out with Cell and it's own libraries.

The difference as far as the software goes is the processing engine/language/libraries/tools behind it.

PC and 360 tools are, for my lack of better terminology, portable while PS3 is its own animal. I dunno if Sony's libraries have bridged the gap yet or not, just that it was more limited earlier in the system's life.

Small world, uh? Why do people keep calling Seth cheap? He's such a bitch once you know how to beat him. Once I unlocked him, I tried him out once and never wanna play as him again. Also... Capcom didn't make it that damned hard to unlock Gouken, they even gave you three easy settings and round options.

Of course, when he becomes player-controlled, these AI advantages are lost.

I stopped by Arcade UFO again and played more SFIV, and also realized they now have a Tsunuko vs. Capcom (or whatever the fuck) machine. It's really freakin' awesome, and only fifty cents. My friend got down on Melty Blood as well, which is a total shitfest. Love my arcade. :D

The politically incorrect answer is that the PS3 is a huge pain in the ass. Anyone making a game, if you're going to make it for both [360 and PS3], just lead on the PS3 because if it works on the PS3 it'll work on 360.
The easiest way to look at it is, the 360 has one big chunk of memory, but the PS3 has two chunks of memory that in total are the same size as the Xbox, but because they're split you can't share memory the same way. That will bite you in the ass, and it bit us in the ass bad.
We had to play catch up on the PS3 because of the memory constraints and how it renders, how it processes is just different. And it's harder on the PS3. The Xbox is just like a dumb PC, which is great because it's easier to build a game on a PC.

Anybody remember goro (sp?) from the original Mortal Kombat. That guy was a bitch. But then again, I haven't really played a fighting game since Mortal Kombat 3 (if those even count as "fighting" games) so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Well a big clue is when the "content" is a tiny file < 1 Mb, but admittedly for anything else you can't be sure when they started development.

As willard said, paying for cheat codes is not acceptable, at least not to me.

Capcom has a responsibility to it's shareholders to maxmize profit. With fighting games, that's within a few weeks of release if not day one. Killzone 2 comes out tomorrow. Resident Evil 5 comes out next month. The ADD-addled gamers of the world are playing and buying DLC for SF right now. Those same costume packs wouldn't make as much money next month or maybe even next week.

EDIT -- They're not "cheat codes". Not one of them offers you extra strength, more life bar, or some sort of advantage to be had on the playing field. These are Barbie outfits that offer zero extra replayability or add anything to the real gaming experience. Should they have been left in. Sure. But it's not like we have to buy them. They didn't say Ryu's free but you gotta pay for Ken. They're asking extra for some costumes.

My boss decided that he was done with gaming today after his 60 something hour save file of SFIV corrupted on him (this isn't the first time, it also happened on his 60 something hour file of SCIV and one other game). He stormed into work with a tub full of video game stuff and I asked him "what is that stuff?" and he exclaimed "put it all away and out for sell" (I work in a retail game store). As I was doing this, I noticed it was all his 360 stuff (system, tons of accesories, 80+ games, etc) and asked what was up. He told me that his file on SFIV corrupted and that this was the last straw. He is done with Xbox 360 and gaming because this has happened multiple times before and upon leaving he told me I could have his XBL account (which has tons of arcade games, 45000+ achievements and 3600+ MS points on it). The dilemma here is what do I do with both accounts? My own personal account has some things that I would not like to lose (a few arcade games that my boss didn't have, 80+ hours invested into Burnout Paradise, Fable 2 LE content are the main things) but on the other side, he has tons of arcade games I don't have, XBL sub until the end of the year and such.

So GGT, what do I do?

Thats exactly what I did. I registered a US account accidentally so I wasn't able to use Canadian points cards. Just made a new Canadian account to use my points. Everything works on both accounts, minus saves of course.

Regular Kuros are less and I'm considering them as well.

If I did get an Elite, first thing I do is hire someone to do I.S.F calibration, so overall cost is even more.
Actually, I still need to get someone to do that on my current TV.

I wondered what Pioneer was going to do with the Kuro plasma line after closing their plasma plant.
