It seems to be a temporary thing, so you have a few days to get the order in on that round of new releases or something like that. It's also expensive since each 360/PS3 is 1600 points, or $80 if you were to buy the points yourself. I'd only spend the points if you have a lot since new releases don't regularly appear for trade for a while.

Picked up the only copy of RE5 my tru had in today and just got to chapter 1-3. Pretty good but it gets annoying not being able to move and fire at the same time but oh well about the only problem I have with it so far. Sadly I have to go to work now or I'd be playing a lot more RE5.

yeah, NMH had some of the best beat-em-up gameplay I've played in years.... it's one of the few games where I wish all it was was combat non-stop.
I STILL go back to Streets Of Rage 2 for that, it's just so damn addictive...

I normally get rid of games too, but at the same time there are some I can just never ditch. I really wish I could ditch a high number of PS2 games, but since they don't give you really anything at GS for trading them in now, I just keep them. I won't lie I've traded in some games for $0.05 and $0.10 before, but some are just beyond ridiculous
I have never let myself trade games if the TIV is lower than $2 unless the person did it w/out my knowledge. Luckily, I have Gamedude close by that tends to match or have better TIV's and that it's in cash, plus they take games from ALL systems, even way back to the NES :bouncy:


So I went back to exchange my RE5 CE because of my aforementioned problem and it turns out a couple of RE5 CE's were returned because of broken figures (mine turned out to be the case with floaters). So he does the exchange and I decide to open this in-store, lo and behold, the gun is broken off of Chris' hand, so I just wave it over to the guy and he swaps it out with my previous figure.

"I need to call my boss because this is getting ridiculous," he exclaims. Apparently only the PS3 versions of the CE's have fallen victim to this :(

P.S. - The Chris figure's face looks butt-ugly, mine's wearing eye shadow and appears to be an aging smoker :-P

agreed. I hated it on launch because of the GTA overworld. When I restarted it, I couldn't get enough of it. There's actually some depth to the action, with some difficult to time hidden moves, parries, and such. With some more tweaking of the combat system and AI, I think it could be a solid hardcore action game. as for the overworld, once you get the speedy run, it ain't that bad. Very, very excited for the sequel.




Had an insane day of running around that ain't quite over yet.

Sold off my gaming PC rig and about 20 games...I think I've booted it up once in the past 4 months...to let my nephew play peggle :lol: I kinda knew this would happen after Fallout 3. I can't think of a single PC title I want in the next year and I'm not so picky these days about technical quality.

Also hit up some gamestops to take advantage of B2G1. I always get one game I want to play and two to sell in each set of games. So today I got CoD4 360, Civ Rev, Left 4 Dead, GRAW 2, and God Hand all basically for free. and there'll be some profit on top of that, which I guess I could take off of RE5. yay!

Now I, too, can bitch about a back log.

Don't be so sure. Pick it up at midnight launch and if they played straight through, they could be done by 9am easily, sleep for a bit, then go trade it in.

Alright, I started chapter 12. Moved the marker or whatever around, hit the button, then moved it towards where the electrically-charged panel that zaps you is. Move it passed that panel and it, like, dropped down to the next level of track, if you know what I mean. I went through the already unlocked door to where the save point and store and everything are, killed everything, saved, and went back outside. All i find are some locked doors and one of those slots where you usually use Kinesis to place a power brick or whatever into to get elevators/doors running. But I'm not finding anything to put in there. WTF do I do here?

Turn 180 from the empty slot, walk in the door you're facing, through the door to your right immediately upon entering, and the power block should be on your left from there.

At least, that's what I remember when I last played it.

Just beat the game. Really enjoyed the final boss---not annoyingly difficult, but intense and fun enough that I was getting into it. The ending cutscene was whatever, the story was kind of ass all around so I didn't care.

Somehow I have 1300 MS Points. I want to buy Peggle but I don't because I want to buy the new Fallout DLC and I don't want to buy more MS Points.

There isn't really anything wrong with Gears, but they're both pretty dull co-op shooters. Just shoot dudes. And shoot them some more. I like the variety in RE5 and swapping weapons a lot more. And it seems you have to help each other out more than just when one person's about to die.

We played Gears 2 on hardcore recently and we hardly ever communicated or even worked together except on mindless shit like "turn that crank while I shoot this dude"

I prefer RE5's setups for co-op stuff, like chris watches sheva's back while she uses a rifle at long range against a bigger enemy, and sharing ammo, and the stuff with the lantern. I'm only two chapters in, but I like RE5's co-op better.

I'm thinking of picking up CoD4 again, HotD overkill, and Tenchu Wii, maybe.

Otherwise I want to get Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Not sure what else. Or if I'll even go.

I got to play the new Bionic Commando today and it is absolutely awesome.

I didn't have super high hopes at first, but after I played it all my worries disappeared. The swinging mechanic was very smooth, the graphics were crisp and most importantly, it was just plain fun.

Did some gaming in the first time for nearly a month.

Finally finished the Shivering Isle and I'm done with Oblivion. Was hoping to get the full 1250 achievments, but 30 short and won't get it as I"d have to start a new game and do a good 3/4's or so of the Shivering Isles to get the other Duke achievement. Kind of shitty since the game had nice, straight forward achievemetns that didn't require replaying up until that one. Oh well.

Great game. Will fire up Fable 2 next. Also have Fallout 3 on the shelf but that can wait a while as I need a change of pace after just finishing one Bethesda RPG. I'm in the mood for a shooter, but don't feel like buying one and I'm stll on long wait for Left 4 Dead and Fear 2 on Goozex.

Played too much SFIV. I gotta move on to some other games.

What a brilliant movie!

The only problem LO had was that the battles were slow, and some of the characters kinda sucky from a story standpoint.

If those aspects had been faster/better, I really think it would have topped shadow hearts 2 as my favorite rpg in the last half decade or so.

Finished RE5. I thought it was pretty excellent. The end parts were getting a bit old, as in flip switches, kill dudes, repeat, but I still had a lot of fun.

And who blames them? They need to sell in today's economy, if you don't like the fact that they have to make games more mainstream to break 1 million to remain profitable, then why don't you pay for all the Resident Evil 5: Classic Edition copies that would've sat on the shelf? Bottom line, people are less scared because there's hardly anything to scare people with. When I played Fear 1, Resident Evil 1, Silent Hill 1 (Notice a pattern?) I was terrified. When I played Fear 2, Resident Evil 2, Silent Hill 2, I had to turn off the lights, play by myself and use my imagination just to be "creeped out". Games just aren't as scary anymore.

Started Fable II and played a couple hours. I'm liking it a lot so far. Nice graphics, story at least somewhat interesting. I like the bread crumbs as I hate wandering around figuring where to go next, with them I can wander around and explore and get back on track very easily.

Not too big on all the expressions, flirting etc., not sure how much I'll mess around with that stuff.

Coming from a Boxer user who fairs pretty decent on XBL, I can tell you she definitely is if you liked using Cammy in other games.

The worst I ever got beaten, and yes I fought a 3000+BP Zangief, was by a Cammy user. She just destroyed me, and her skillset and moves aren't a hashed up list of moves that any 8 year old can throw together for a combo. She takes some skill to use but can tear people up.

If you want Seth (and the trophy/achievement) just play 1-round easiest difficulty with everybody, and Seth is a joke.

Sway is a really, really fantastic iphone game. It's short, but it's incredibly original and super fun. I highly recommend checking it out, it's truly ds quality.

It's like Gears of War in space with better characters and story. The last 2 levels ramp up the Chimp factor to Maximum for the ultimate Chimp thrill ride, you will not be dissapointed. EDIT - Until you play another game, that isn't Space Chimps.
