So I finally get a chance to settle down with some RE5 only to find my controller disconnecting every so often. Sometimes going for 5 mins, sometimes only a few seonds before disconnecting. Tried 2 sets of new batteries and same shit. Had a couple GH guitars that wouldn't work after I moved my router closer to my consoles as well. So its probably interference. Fucking 2.4ghz wireless is jank as shit. TY Sony for using Bluetooth and actually letting me play games.

We watched the Extras series finale. It was bad. A huge disappointment considering the regular episodes were so awesome.
Played some COD4.
Watched Pan's Labyrinth for the 9th time. Further confirmation that it is the greatest movie ever. Damn it looks incredible in Blu.

Tried to give Oblivion another chance, this time with some mods to limit scaling. Was going alright.

Then every single non-unique, non-guard human lost their weapons. There is not a bandit in the game that doesn't attack me with its fists. Same goes for regular vampires.

Gameplay's an acquired taste, but I'm right there with ya on graphics. Character models look great, everything else looks like shit. It's one of those niche titles that's a love or hate game.

That's why you either strategically taunt them so you only fight one at a time OR you throw a projectile at one of them to fight them one at a time.

I think you totally took the wrong version of awesome for the finale. really good ending IMHO. I like drama with my comedy, and EXTRAs is pure gold the entire way through to the end.

I finished the 3rd act of Gears 2 today.
Fuck this game. I was loving it, then the sea monster final ACT 3 boss came. He was super easy to kill, but Marcus got stuck 100 times and something that should have taken me 5 minutes took me 35.

50 Cent BotS took me like 6 hours or so. I don't remember exactly. I beat it in 2 sittings.

My main beef with Rachel was that she was so ... unnecessary... that you didn't have a chance to make her powerful enough to handle her shit right -- plus when you added in that she only had the hammer and it was an entirely different set of moves from the tiger fang/dragon claw or dragon sword (Izuna Drop FTMFW!)... her... assets were enjoyable though. :lol:

Anyway, gaming today was very light, mostly just played MotorStorm: PR Online with CAGs. Over 60% done with my casual races. I'll eventually get a trophy for playing a certain number. I will get RE5 one day no doubt (wish I could have gotten it at Meijer, but wasn't able to yet). I might trade in some PS2 and so on games towards RE5. I might go crazy trading away my non-GH PS2 copy of Okami into GS (who knows to be honest). :-P The game rocks, but I'll admit I'll probably never finish it. I might blog my situation one day.

I was playing Oblivion and ran into a glitch where a shit-ton of NPCs had no weapons, so I reloaded a save from a few hours earlier and started playing again.

Got 3/4 of the way to where I was, and now I've run into a glitch where I can't talk to anyone.

EDIT: Wow...for all this time I didn't realize that I could group my save files on my PS3. That is a good thing. Too bad it doesn't allow me to sort the groupings, though. 36 SUGC saves, 25 Wipeout HD saves, 12 MGS4 saves, 14 Prince of Persia saves. Good that I know this stuff now.

Morrowind 1.0 is all I have to say about this. Good god, buggy as hell. Crash to desktop every 10 minutes, broken quests galore, and just general "This shit wasn't playtested." quality. Later patches fixed most of it though.

So I tried Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings and I stopped after half an hour. It's way too hard to micro manage (or even manage) a party on the tiny bottom screen of the DS.

Now, I'm playing Chains of Olympus. It's the only platformer that I've had fun with so far. I really tried to like Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank, and Daxter but each of those was missing something. Chains has it all and then some. Great game.

Blech. Reminds me of growing up in WV. Hated it. I've been in the DC area for 7 years and that's probably about the smallest city I'd ever consider living in. Eh, I'm giving into the RE5 hype. Putting together 5 games which will go to GameStop on Friday or Saturday (stuff no one wants anyway, mostly some PS2 stuff and one PSP game). I'm debating what my 5th game will be (probably next gen), between picking a PS3 game, or letting something like Warriors Orochi (because of Warriors Orochi The Collective coming stateside maybe) or something else to give me a bump (I rather not ditch DW Gundam, but I have a feeling I might not touch the first again once I buy the 2nd).

I recently had some good news on the job searching, but I'll discuss more later (basically, I am being offered an interview, but location really has to make me think hard).

Pretty much. I had not picked up my DS in the past year as I have in the past few weeks since Peggle Dual Shot was released.

And having Peggle on my 360 HDD makes it hard to play anything else.

They've stopped SXRD production.
Which is too bad, as the tech was getting better.
It can actually do color reproduction slightly better than the standard Kuro, although blacks aren't as deep.

I'd rather have a Kuro though.

DC area is a nice place to live for a younger person. But you seem pretty introverted, so honestly location shouldn't be a huge factor for you--beyond cost of living--as an introvert can be happy anywhere.

Don't know what family issues you're having now, but from what you pm'd me in the past seems like your main concern should be to get far away from them and the DC area is pretty far from Indiana....
