Stopped playing Fallout 3 for a bit to play a llittle Genesis collection, then immediately went back to Fallout 3. Hit level 20, and i'm trying to get all the trophies. Just need to find like 15 more Nuka Cola Quantums and that's it for the missions. Just missing the karma/level ones for bad/neutral, bobbleheads, hacking, behemoths and platinum.

Looks like Itagaki's pupil did learn a thing or two from him. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 looks great, the two girl's fighting style look similar to Ryu when he's using the Twin Swords (Ayane) and Flails (Momiji) but still unique enough. Good stuff.

Relying on broadband internet as a service is a frightening concept. I wouldn't trust Time Warner, or any and all other companies from modifying services such that it would be unusable, whether by bandwidth caps, traffic prioritization, or some other means. At that point my purchases are worthless.

And at some point the platform owner would decide that subscription-based plans were better money and we'd have to pay $x a month forever in order to play games.

I guess the simplest way to say it is that it's "more complicated" than other fighting games due to the different types of offensive and defensive moves available to the player. In addition to standard attack/counter attack play, there are reversals and cancels from both attack and recovery states. Maybe more than other games, GG, particularly the later iterations, is a timing/anticipation game. I still don't really understand how advanced players play the game.

(1). Guilty Gear is pretty crazy. It's really technical. The mechanics are pretty deep, but I don't usually rely on the high level stuff personally. It's pretty flashy, not quite Marvel level flashy, but more than any Street Fighter. All of the characters are pretty unique too. No army of shotos in it, or people that play similar. BlazBlue supposedly takes that last one to a new level, though I haven't played it. Read the Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (http://www.shoryuken.com/wiki/index.php/Guilty_Gear_XX_Accent_Core) wiki page on SRK if you really want to know more.

If you are really curious, you could track down a copy of Guilty Gear. Just don't play GG Isuka for PS2. Gamestop (http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=35806) has Guilty Gear X2 #Reload for Xbox for $6 used, and it's playable on 360.

(2). The BR stands for Bloodline Rebellion, the latest update for the arcade version of Tekken 6. It added 2 new characters, gameplay balances and tweaks, new backgrounds, etc. It's also what the home version will be based on.

They fixed a ton of stuff that really irked me. Too much to list. It plays more like Gears 1 now. I haven't played with any bots since no has dropped since it takes away from EXP now. :whee:

One glance at your games on the new screen will change that(if you don't have a Lite already, that is). You will be losing out on the GBA support if you pick the DSi over the Lite though. The added features don't seem to be worth the extra $$$ over the Lite.

I just beat The Path. It was not a game you play for "fun" or a game that you are going to "enjoy." I see it as an experience that you appreciate. The Path is really different from any other game. Although it does fall close to Silent Hill in that both games deal with psychological matters.

It is definitely not for everybody, but if you are the slightest bit intrigued then you should probably check it out.
