The problem with Magna Carta, at least the first one, was that the art was pretty much the only good thing about that game.

Yea, but Target Earth (aka Assault Suit Leynos) was FKEN HARD. You could easily go down in the first minutes of the first stage even with some skill. Even then, that was still fun to play...to an extent.

I'm kinda mixed with regards to Ravenholm. On the one hand, yes, it had a cool atmosphere and lots of gravity gun fodder. But on the other hand, I can only come across so many rooms filled with nothing but rusted saw blades and think, "Okay, Valve. I get it. You have harnessed the powers of physics. Can we move on now?"

All I remember about Red Dead Revolver was that I wanted to like it so bad but the controls and camera were awkward and frustrating. If the gameplay was tighter, it would've been badass.

Anything with Gundam Wing can't be amazing. Well to be fair, as long as they kept the actual pilots out of it, but used the suits I'd be fine.

Whatever. Just got done going through Kamille's official mode, and the improvements made from the sequel are very nice. The combo system has been fixed so now it's more in line with DW/SW (I like how combos and even SP attacks change completely whether or not you're in the air), the clash system is new and one I like better than all the other Musou games (though SW2 still wins in the clash animation category), and the new way you fight larger enemies is a lot of fun. Plus for fans of the anime the official modes have been beefed up with more of the story. My only problem is that there's no Japanese voice option, which makes no sense. It was in the first one, why not have it in the second? Oh and where's the classic Gundam music?

If you liked the first one, definitely get this one it's quite the improvement. If you like the Musou games, give it a try. If you didn't like the first one, or Musou games in general, then don't bother.

Saw it yesterday at the store and it looked interesting.

2. I've never played a Fire Pro Wrestling game. :oops: Which one would be the best to play first? I know there's on for PSX in the JPN store, and that PS2 version from about a year ago.
They've always looked like fun, like all the 2D wrestling games I used to play.
The only 3D one I liked was that one on N64, don't remember which.

Nah, I've never uploaded anything. I did spend a great deal of time setting up and then watching CPU-CPU tournaments on the Dreamcast Firepro just to see who the best all-around wrestler was. Jumbo Tsuruta won pretty easily.

I think the CPU-CPU phenomenon is caused by people getting so good at fighting the computer that it is no longer challenging. There's a FAQ all about trying to do crazy stuff in the game. I'm not credited but I'm the one that came up with the SCSA vs. nWo match.

Most Gundam games just wouldn't work with that control style. If you've ever seen a Gundam show, mobile suits don't move like orbital frames. Two completely different types of mecha. Especially if you want to use UC suits.

It depends what you like. I loved the ZoE games, but when it comes to mecha action I prefer games like Gundam vs. Z Gundam.

Now that I think about it, MS's don't move like that on ground/in atmospheric conditions.

What I was originally thinking about were the space battles in Wing, because that seems like it would transfer pretty seamlessly to ZOE2's system.

I'm playing through it now, it's okay but I think I liked the 1st game more mainly for a couple of reasons. #1. the split-screen co-op #2. The way the story was told from the third person perspective. #3 the game seemed to be more balanced, not so much trial and error. I don't think I have ever died so much in a single player FPS than I have in this one.

IRC, the lighting has never been that great , even in the first game. I hate the little circle light on your gun. It really stinks..

I'm almost done with the SP and then It's on to the multiplayer grind..

I love the armored core series , but I can't really understand why they would port 3 over to the psp by itself , when 3 had the most expansions/spinoffs of any game in the series (4 to be exact). Seems like it would make more sense to port an updated combined version of Armored Core 2/Another Age instead. Or even a updated combined version of the original game + its 2 expansions.

I too played through the whole game for free (my friend let me borrow a copy), and I burned through 50 hours in a week. I'd say $30-40 is a steal for the game, however, the total DLC price so far is up to $30. Doesn't really seem right to me, but eh.

2. I've never played a Fire Pro Wrestling game. :oops: Which one would be the best to play first? I know there's on for PSX in the JPN store, and that PS2 version from about a year ago.
They've always looked like fun, like all the 2D wrestling games I used to play.
The only 3D one I liked was that one on N64, don't remember which.
I played the Code Avalon demo from the Nintendo Channel, it was pretty fun, which was a big surprise to me. Best Fire Pro to start with is probably FPW Returns, since the GBA ones have different timing. Plus they're kind of small.

The manager at my GS says it depends on the store. Apparently she said there was an e-mail from corporate to force them to charge tax even with purchases made with credit. You don't have to believe me if you don't want to, but that's what she told me. :razz:

Just finished Resistance 2 last night and I really liked the story. The game was just long enough with enough varied locations to be fun. I also liked the improvements for the weapons. Please keep the "What a retard" jokes to a minimum just because I liked it.

Gave up on SMT Nocturne because every place seems to be exactly the same and the FAQs that I found are missing key parts and contradict each other.

Also started Fantastic Four with my family and it's damn near impossible to play mostly because it's impossible to do anything but fight back to back because of the camera.

That's messed up. Only time I have to pay tax is if I don't have enough credit to cover the whole purchase -- and even then, it's only on the cash portion. Gift card purchases also require paying sales tax, since they were bought with non-credit.

Sad News: Some person was toting around their DSi at my local Gamestop, showing it off n' all. The sad part? He was a 40 year old....dare I say? VIRGIN. Plus his friend was all giving him props so I vacated the premises immediately because I didn't feel cool enough >.>

Getting towards the end of Dark Sector. I'm really surprised at how it has exceeded my expectations and is a worthy little action game for the cheap price. After I finish it I'm gonna jump back into GTA4 and make some more progress in that game. After that, its either Saints Row 2, or Fallout 3. Yeah, I'm leaning towards Fallout.

So I started playing God Hand. I'm loving the campy, over the top brawling but I see a HUGE problem already and that is the fact that you have to play through an entire level to be able to save. It was ok for the first level because I got through it pretty easily but if I have to keep replaying areas (my biggest pet peeve in gaming) I'm not gonna stick with it.

Haha. Yeah, don't worry. The single player experience is good enough for me. I usually stay away from multiplayer that was built around a single player game. Crappy tacked-on multiplayer in the name of replayability is usually just a waste of time anyway.

Depends on how easy you think the game will be for you. If you don't have any troubles with the next boss or two, then don't worry. Otherwise...

also, it kinda has a checkpoint system... kinda...

but yeah, once you get the controls down, which you have to to win, prepare for fucking ass hard bosses.

360? also damn when i went on friday i picked up one of the 2 copies of sciv and they were the launch copies that still had do not open before 7/29/08 :lol:
also why is sciv 360 not on the cag database? just tried to add it and it only showed the ps3 version
