I'm pretty sure the gameplay isn't what the draw is. I've heard it is building up your army and collecting better loot and the rock, paper, scissors gameplay is just there to support the preparation aspect. I've only played the demo and thought it was rather compelling, I'd pick it up if it was cheaper.

I'll probably get this.The whole truth and nothing but the truth. I like the way the character controls and how he kind of latches on to whatever you jump near. Yeah, I kept dying too, but once I figured out how to really take advantage of the shockwave and lightning bolt shit became fun. The game doesn't chug or drop when intense shit is going on either.

I'll be buying it and enjoying the beta as well. 8-)

The "levels" are too long. Enemies are unbalanced too. I can't cut the machete master in half with a quick kill immediately and he gives me like 600xp but I can cut the robot drones in half immediately and they give me 1500xp? Fucked up.

After playing the demo thats what worried me about the full game, I thought once the novelty of slicing people up wore off it might get a bit "samey", I'll prolly still pick it up once it hits the $25-$20 or less range.

The one thing I noticed in the 360 version was sort of like you speak with the eagle eyes... but more disturbingly there was some bad clipping.

I know when I played it, I had to download a patch first -- it was probably in Jan/Feb of 08 ... so maybe the patch fixed some of the graphics -- then again, you've a more *trained* eye for that sort of thing than I do, so you may be disappointed.

I use Frinq on my iPhone. It was the first skype app.
Since the phone is jailbroken, I can make 3G/Edge Skype calls on it as well.

Multiple picture emails are about the only thing that could be useful to me. According to the Apple bullshit-o-tron, 2g phones can't handle sending MMS messages. So I'm screwed there. Copy/paste... I don't even know where I'd use that. So yeah, I'm mostly good already. Now if they tweaked some of the interface shit so I could do the things that require me to jailbreak without the need to jailbreak, then I'd be stoked for 3.0 FW.

Wik too even though the main character is stupid looking. Some of those puzzles are hard (i go for the time bonus).

Just wrapped up God of War on psp, which was a great game.
Played my 360 for the first time in 2 months but wasn't satisfied.
Both GTA: L&D and Boom Boom Rocket felt really slow and weren't fun.

Also, I've been trying to think of games that I am excited for and not many come to mind.
Just Brutal Legend (loved Psychonauts and Tenacious D is great) and God of War III for me.

I think I'll start the Metal Gear Solid series tomorrow.
Hopefully it doesn't feel too outdated.

I'm not sure I like Clear Sky as much as Shadow of Chernobyl. Something's not the same about the atmosphere. It sure looks pretty though. Same solid shooting mechanics too.

I played the train section of Warhead today after getting those new drivers, and it was like double the FPS. That section was so awesome but so choppy the first time I played it.

Raiden FA is, like everyone else has said, stellar.

I love shooters that have a bit of a scoring gimmick but it doesn't interfere with the game. It's like the anti Mars Matrix.

I can't get the stupid "destroy captured fighter" achievement in Galaga!
I tried many times.

I used to accidently destroy the red captured guy all the time in the arcade, but I can't do it even once on XBLA?

Don't know if you still need help with this or not. I missed this post from before. I had some trouble getting this achievement too and got it the other day. Best way to do it is go to stage 2 and let your ship get captured. Then wait for it to come down after you and kamikaze yourself into your captured fighter. Takes a bit of timing , but seems to work easier than trying to shoot it down.

I'm probably one of the few people who didn't have a problem with most aspects of MGS4 in terms of anything other than MGSO.

I give MGS4 a nod though due to actually having good replay value for a story I'd probably only play once or twice.

I flew thru Resident Evil 2 in the past couple days, playing both Claire then Leon. I would suck Capcom's dick for an HD remake of that game. Playing it after playing thru Resi Zero and REmake makes me cringe at all the FMV sequences. If they ever do remake RE2, please for the love of Shinji Mikami DO NOT make it on the Wii.

I think the new 360 controllers have better d-pads.. I bought one of the Red Controller+PnC bundles and the D-Pad seems to be a lot better? I had absolutely no problem playing Raiden with it..

It looks sick anyway, and I use my wired one for my laptop and TF2.

Empire:Total War looks to be absolutely fucking awesome.

I'm sorta tempted to get Peggle on XBLA but it seems like it might be better as a hand held (a la Puzzle Quest). How is it for the DS?I bought it on XBLA and am extremely surprised at how I can never find a game online with it.
I thought Peggle was super popular.

DS version is the XBLA version + Peggle Nights + DS only levels.
It's a much version but I like to have something relaxing to play on the TV as well.
