Don't know if you still need help with this or not. I missed this post from before. I had some trouble getting this achievement too and got it the other day. Best way to do it is go to stage 2 and let your ship get captured. Then wait for it to come down after you and kamikaze yourself into your captured fighter. Takes a bit of timing , but seems to work easier than trying to shoot it down.Hey, thanks a lot, I'll try this tonight.

I bought it on XBLA and am extremely surprised at how I can never find a game online with it.
I thought Peggle was super popular.

DS version is the XBLA version + Peggle Nights + DS only levels.
It's a much version but I like to have something relaxing to play on the TV as well.

Yeah, it's definitely not as "pick up and play" as it might appear on the surface, but rewarding once you get the hang of it. It's best to just choose one mech and stick with it.

I just missed the Pokemon craze. but my 11 year old nephew is nuts about it. He only has a GBA right now, but I um...rented... platinum for him. The past two times he has been over, he has played for like 5 hours straight until the battery died in my DS :lol:

I watched him play and was amazed that it's a lot like Nocturne, in terms of the battle system focusing strictly on weaknesses, trapping enemies, and teaching skills.


I might try it out some day, but you'll never know because I'll never admit it.

Worth trying if:

1.You can set up a room/play area to make proper use of it (since for the game to work effectively it essentially requires a green screen type setup).

2.You can get a group of people to play with you , since its more fun as a party type game.

If you can do one or both of these , then give it a go , if not then I'd say dump it.

They did a good job of changing the metagame during each generation.

Gold/Silver/Crystal: Special Attack/Defense are two different stats.
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald: Pokemon get "abilities."
Pearl/Diamond/Plat: Physical/Special moves are more defined (Thunderpunch is now a physical move instead of a special move, for example).

I read a few people mention that about shooting at the ship when its still at the top of the stage , and every time I tried that I always ended up getting the dual fighter. I guess it was getting ready to dive at me each time I shot it.

They're very nice. If you plan to take notes with it, you might want to go for a smaller model so it fits on your desk. If you don't plan on gaming on it (i.e. dual-booting windows for games because there aren't many on mac) or using artist programs, you might want to consider downgrading to the entry level macbook. They all basically run perfectly with few hitches, unless you plan to run tons of resource intensive graphic design/video editing/music making programs. Actually, definitely downgrade if you aren't doing the above things, unless you like burning hundreds of dollars.

The only advice I would add on top of that would be go to with one of the Aluminum unibody Macbooks and not the lowest white one. If you're going to be using it for four years, the white ones have a plastic body that loves to crack over time. With the aluminum Macbook, you'll be getting better durability and still a better price than the MBP.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of that attic puzzle either, but I was otherwise happy with the game. The melee combat works for me, but the guns not so much. They break the boss fights (especially the last one) a bit too much for my liking.

Cole's powers are cool, the graphic novel cutscenes are stunning, the story is intriguing, and the city is alive. I could go on and on about this game -- about my hunt for the final few Blast Shards, about the sick joy in blasting a pedestrian and then sucking his bio-energy, about the subtle Sly Cooper references -- but to truly appreciate what Sucker Punch has created, you'll have to sit down and play this game.

All the side missions and he might've just puttering around. I'm doing that with Just Cause right now. I'm at the last mission but I'm getting the last few races, side missions and achievements done so I can just put it away when it's all over.

Don't forget the fun factor for some sandbox games. I've noticed that I've played 20 mins and not done a damn thing the whole time. By the time, I get to a mission or race, it's been 25-30 mins. I was having a blast but not really advancing the story line.

Played the 360's Lair, Too Human, for 4 hours yesterday with a friend.

1. You fail at being a smart ass. 2. Wrong. In RE4 you have a case where you can store things and you can buy larger cases to store more things. In RE5 you always have 9 blocks and everything only takes up one block. I think I've seen a screenshot of STALKER and I think it might have an inventory like RE4.

Basically it works just like an ebay auction. You put up a bunch of items , usually with no preset price , and everybody bids on them in predetermined increments (usually about .50 cents or $1). You let it run for a specific amount of time (however much you want 3 days , a week , whatever) , and when its over whoever has the highest bid wins the item and pays the amount they bid plus shipping (usually a preset amount as well).

That's the basic idea at least. Plenty of people have done them (myself included) , and you can always ask dv8mad , who's the most informed about it.

is not entirely true. Pages, Numbers, and Keynote all have export/import functions with MS Office files. Numbers is the Excel equivalent that gunm missed, unless there's some incompatibility I missed out on. I used Pages and Keynote for my last semester in undergrad and never ran into a problem sharing/exchanging with Windows people.

if you're taking notes with it, you'll get used to all the hotkeys and shortcuts with Pages fast. Keynote is very intuitive and has great templates and design options. I haven't had a whole lot of experience with numbers. Can't really compare it to MS Office on a detailed level, as they both worked fine for me. It was easy to slip into iWork, since they are similar in organization. There were less differences than I imagined...

The dual screens are a big plus, the interface is much nicer. There is a lot of added functionality as well. If you are going to start on one get the DS version...

I read Lost Odyssey's spoilers and it sounds like they completely throw away all potential the story has. Just one of those simple 1000 Years of Dreams vignettes has more interesting ideas than the game has presented so far, aside from the fact that there are immortals with amnesia. It's an interesting story concept to start with, but it sounds squandered in typical RPG fare. And with the gameplay as sparse and rudimentary as it is, the story was my only hope...

I just wish they found a way to make the 1000 years stories into gameplay. On the other hand, bad game voice acting might kill the emotional connection, as usual.

Vesperia scratches my itch for instant gratification and fast battles.
