I enjoyed LO, but I agree that the dreams were the best part. I would have loved for the story of the entire game to have been like one of those dreams.

The leveling system and dynamic between using mortals/immortals is great -- but the story is pretty lame, the villain is retarded, and there are large gaps between exploring/battles at times.

I didn't like the dreams, myself. Maybe I'll look them up online at some point and read them when I have a slow day at the office.

Finished up the Resident Evil series on the Cube. Took me about three weeks to play thru RE 0-3 + CV, and I played thru RE4 a few weeks before that. I miss the classic RE. I guess I'll pick up RE5 sometime, but I'll wait for a price drop.

Moving on to the Metal Gear series now. Started Twin Snakes up. My last playthru of that was a little over a year ago according to the date on my last save. I still have never played thru MGS 2 or 3, so I'm looking forward to jumping into those afterwards.

Other than that, I'm still slowly grinding my way thru Nocturne.

I'm looking forward to this year's E3. I have high expectations, so I'm really looking forward to being disappointed.

There's not a right way to play it, which is most of the fun. I just tossed explosives around to blow up stuff until I got to the mech and then destroyed everything that I could find. It seems like it should be a very fun physics playground kind of game.

I'm guessing the new Guitar Hero will be called Guitar Hero: Gimmicks Edition because very little of the new features make any sense as useful additions to the series. Unless the song allows for multiples of any instrument, I don't see how four drummers playing the same notes is all that appealing.

The only useful thing I've heard being announced is the ability to change difficulties without starting over, but the idea of people dropping out and jumping in during a song that only lasts a few minutes doesn't make any sense.

PS3 has God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Valkryia Chronicles, Uncharted, Socom, MAG, FF Versus, etc.

Granted, they both share some shitty exclusives (perfect dark and banjo kazooie/lair, haze). And lose some decent ones (dead rising and condemned/final fantasy 13 and tekken 6).

So it's about even I guess, but with God of War III and Uncharted 2 coming out, it's nice for 360 users to have something to look forward to, other than third pary games. ;)

I'm not one to spend 2k on a PC just to get mods and better textures. I'm happy with the settings on the console. I don't like having to mess with settings on my games to get them to a specific or needed quality to play right. I like to pop the game in and play with no issues.

The gameplay was indeed awesome, and yes, I guess it was more the atmosphere than the story itself, but they did the story pretty well. Some guy who's family was murdered and now a running riot, killing everyone, isn't exactly a fresh concept. :P

IIRC, it's about a journalist or something of the sort, who's family just died or he's just a loner? Ayway, he's suppoed to travel to this town, but when it's dark, creatures attack you, so you have to stick near light, blah blah.

The only reason why I say Alan Wake may be shown is because they recently showed a new picture, so makes me wonder if they are still working on it. I guess it could be from the earlier production, but it looked new.

Heavy Rain is a stupid idea because if they're that concerned with real life story and characters, just make a film already. That studio has ideas that are too amateurish, trite, and half-developed to succeed as direct-to-dvd movies, so they shoehorn them into a poorly made video game, where their shallow and poorly written characters can be praised.

Add in a touch of exclusivity for the most pretentious, pseudo-artistic console owners and you have a recipe for disaster. Nobody would give a shit about Heavy Rain if it wasn't PS3 exclusive. Like every other PS3 exclusive that isn't Uncharted.

Kinda like Metal Gear Solid, but without all the fun parts. There's still no reason to own a PS3.

Empire Total War is awesome. So's STALKER Clear Sky.

Umm...I would. I was a huge fan of Indigo Prophecy (except for the ending), and Heavy Rain looks even better. If it was multiplatform, I would buy it on 360, so the PS3 exclusivity has nothing to do with my interest in the game.

There's still no reason to own a PS3.

Finished Too Human on co-op. I like that I didn't have to sit through any of the story as it cut it all out.
Worth it for $10, other than that, game is just too bland and repetitive.
The loot and cheese whore in me will have me playing a little more though.

Got this in the mail yesterday, and had quite a bit of fun. Better than DS version? I'm still deciding.
