I'm not hyped for them, I don't even own a PS3. But I do read other forums and I do go to other sites other than just CAG, so yeah, I see a lot of talk about these games and there is a huge hype for them out there by many people, even without an IP and without much information.

I haven't really seen much about MAG, so I really have no opinion on it. Could be cool. Have to wait and see.

Capcom is setting themselves up for failure on the Wii again though. I, admittedly, have been a wishy-washy, on and off anime watcher for a few years and this game was the first time I had heard of Tatsunoko. It doesn't quite catch the eye like...say...marvel vs. capcom. I can't imagine it selling well at all.

I'm almost done Devil May Cry 4 on the 360, and I'm remembering why I like the game so much...except the Lightning guy. I still don't know a good way to beat him. Definitely better than Ninja Gaiden 2 overall.

L4D's short and vague but addicting, I'd recommend playing it online.

Mass Effect and Fallout 3 have shorter main story quests, but a lot of side ones, and both look fantastic.

I'd probably start with ME first, then go to FO3, and play L4D when you want some good multiplayer!

The biggest problem I had with Mass Effect on my first playthrough was how big everything is. It's so easy to get lost in the world and they don't really hold your hand too much. Once I got the hang of it, the game became just amazing. Loved the dialogue system and the battle system could become a little basic at times but overall it was great. Can't wait for '2' or dragon age.

I tell ashley to use the sniper rifle but she seems to switch to a pistol every once in a while (which she has no points)
2. If I give say Ashley the weapon upgrade that lets her see enemies on Radar - does that also work for me to? What is the use in her being able to see enemies on radar? She can barely walk through doors.
3. I'm a vanguard and I've maxed out my Pistol (no points in Shotgun) is pistol fine for the long run? I wish I played a soldier...

Yeah I'm struggling with this as well. The only person I don't use is Ashley cause I'm purely a soldier and our skills are duplicated. I feel the most comfortable with the Krogan and the Quarian. That seems to make the best balance between biotics, tech, and combat.

Is there a way to give commands to your teammates? I want my people to hang back sometimes but they go out guns blazing and get killed or just stir up the hornets nest .. which then gets me killed.

Finished Broken Steel main story. Good stuff, I enjoyed it. I'm glad I can continue exploring the Wasteland as I still have things to do and haven't even gotten to level 30 yet. It's pretty cool to see most of my stats max'd out, although I think the new perks aren't too exciting overall.

Played through the Minor Circuit in Punch-Out and...I was lucky to beat King Hippo. He clearly dominated the fight. And the motion controls have one problem that I can see: You'll get too many punches thrown with them. I find myself always hitting air with the last punch or two.

I at least got the special KO/TKO animations for all 4 Minor Circuit characters.

man... Project Trico basically looks like all the elements of Ico + SotC (except a colossi is ur pet) + Big Rat Cat Griffon Thing.

That's not bad at all though.

It looks SO good (if this trailer is even remotely representative of the final gameplay). This game plus a PS3 price drop could finally push me to picking one up.

Odin Sphere had "good" animation, IMO. Would it have benefited from more frames of animation? I don't know. There's definitely a style to the game's art and presentation that I thought worked well the way it turned out. If the goal was to make the game seem like a painting come to life, I think the game achieved that.

VERY unforgiving hack n slash game with loot and grinding. Your character can be anything from a heavy knight to a light and fast ninja.
There's also some light online co-op elements and online PvP.

Reviews? Almost definitely. Every review I've read is glowing for this game.
But it's still different from Sacred which is much more open world.

Sounds interesting to me... I'm always up for a challenge.

Speaking of a challenge, last night I tried to beat Super Ghouls and Ghost. I got through the 1st run-through no problem (if you're not familiar with the game, you have to complete it twice. When you finish all of the levels the first time, it will return you to the beginning of the game and make you repeat them, on an even harder difficulty.)

The second run-through, I hit a huge snag at the 7 (& final) level. By this time it was 4 something in the morning and I was tired from a night of drinking beer, so I gave up after about 40 minutes. It was just too difficult to beat the level with the goddess weapon (a special weapon that you have to have in order to beat the last boss, otherwise you have to restart the stage.)

Great game though.

Just rented Wolverine, and it's amazing how fun it is. It feels like a shorter God of War. I played it for about 8 hours yesterday, and I should be done with the story today. After that, the rest of the trophies should be easy.

Oops, calling Demon's Soul a hack n slash is not really accurate. Sorry, I avoided the King's Field series, so I'm not familiar with what it really is beyond what others have said. I guess it's more of a...tactical action RPG? No checkpoints, grinding for small rewards/level ups, and an EverQuest-like death system are off-putting (along with the MMO-style online griefing), but the ability to switch back and forth between different styles of play on the fly and the co-op possibilities do sound intriguing.

Yeah the SNES version (I'm pretty sure it was re-released on GBA, but I don't know if anything was different.)

and yeah, you have to beat it twice haha... even harder the second time. I still had 9 credits in stock when I shut the game off.

Speaking of Super Ghouls and Ghosts, I remember it being rated for XBLA and PSN like a year or two ago. I wonder what ever happened to that?

Just read up on the GBA version, and apparently it had a bunch of extra stages not found in the SNES version. Would love to have that version come out on XBLA / PSN.
