I consider the DS the worst system this gen game wise. The crappy graphics, crap sound and just overall cheapness of the system is terrible. I know most will disagree, but the DS screens are so effin tiny it makes the system seem like a joke to me.

I love the PSP, having some of the best portable games out there (Patapon, Resistance is flat out amazing and the soundtrack blows away 95% of console games in existence, among a ton of others). I also love the screen, the great movie playback, great browser, etc etc.

Overall i think the DS stinks next to the PSP.

Any need to know basics about elements? It looks like everyone (Serge, Kid and Kroche or whatever) has a few assigned but they don't match their elemental affinity. I feel like I'm doing something wrong by changing them or hitting remove all and trying to just give them elements that match their affinities.

So I beat a Link to the Past yesterday and I'm already 5 hours into Chrono Trigger DS and I am in love so far. I would be playing it right now but I have no idea where my charger is so I'm either going to have to wait until I find it or am able to buy a new one.

After CT, I want to play Final Fantasy III/VI and Earthbound. After those, I'm hoping I'll have my new laptop and I plan on buying some games for that (WoW, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Dead Space, The Witcher, Stalker, FEAR, etc.). I've never been a PC gamer so I have some catching up to do.

Be sure to get the Orange Box. Since I'm assuming you've never played Half Life 2, its one of the landmark games in PC gaming (IMO). Portal is a fun 3 hour diversion. and TF2 just keeps being updated and is always a good team-based multiplayer FPS.

Xbox Vision Camera had so much potential this generation. They should have used it for create a player in sports games to put your face straight into the game, that would have been awesome. I just realized something that would basically fuck up the entire playing feild of the market in a good and bad way:

If Sony opened up the SDKs for the PSP like Apple did with the iPhone, and had a PSN App store (thus the PSP with no UMD), it would really make for something interesting.

Sony has stated they've wanted to make PSP homebrew people happy somehow while still staying legal + sony is moving towards digital distribution more and more = this seems possible.

I can see them announcing something like this at E3, which would rock (mainly cuz indie gaming would flourish), but it's very slim.

darknessbear - if you haven't gotten the achievement yet, I found a solid way to get the "Rich" one (earn $1,000,000)

Do the mission for the doctor in the Citadel Medical Clinic where you have to stop Morlan from blackmailing her. After that she'll buy shit from you at a major markup .. most times more than double than what anyone else would buy it for. Then whenever you get that message that you're closing to reaching your max limit of carried items, just go back to the Citadel and sell all your shit to her and you'll get the achieveement in no time.

MvC2 and BF1943 I'll be there day one. Prototype I want day one but it depends on how much time I have devoted to games around that time. I also really want Fight Night and Call of Juarez but those I'll have to wait for a good prices on.

Prototype I'll also keep close attention to the reviews about, seems like a real hit or miss.

My brother is also selling his Wii for 360 and he is going to be getting BlazBlue LE from Gamestop so I can play that if I want. MvC and Tekken are the only fighters I play really but I'll probably try it since it'll be in the house all summer.

I'm only interested in Ghostbusters and Red Faction: Guerrila, which I will probably Gamefly. I do have Class of Heroes, so I'll have to see if that's good or not.

I hate that there are pretty much no checkpoints in Bionic Commando unless you go through a tunnel. I know that they're trying to stay old school, but checkpoints are something that should be more plentiful in a game like this since it feels like I need to go through levels perfectly to progress now instead of being allowed a mistake here or there.

I beat my first Expert Campaign tonight in Left 4 Dead (Blood Harvest). If my friend's friend didn't teach me that trick right before the final showdown we never would've made it, and I almost didn't make it.

Then I played some Rock Band 2, and I finally made it out of Boston (I played every song at every location that I could play at) then played 1 song in Chicago.

Infamous looks and plays amazing, but its very open world which im not too much of a fan of. Certain points in the demo where i didn't understand where to go and id get a mission abandoned screen or something. I never liked open world games to begin with tho. Technically, it is amazing, your attacks really make you feel like a super hero (more-so then comic book games have ever done), and the controls are fantastic. I may get it down the line, but wish it held my hand more lol.

I know alot of people bash Dead Rising nowadays for not holding up, but I have to disagree... that game still does alot more (fun) things with very high quality that I rarely see in most games of this gen. It was the first game that made me feel like gaming took a huge leap between console gens.

The timed element of it didn't bother me at all either, but then again I'm not a big sandbox person. I still felt that there was plenty of time to do whatever without becoming lame.

Looks like I'll just be playing the 360 version again sometime down the line, probably right before DR2 comes out.

The problem I had with the time element was that I felt really constrained while playing. I couldn't just play through the story then go do everything else. I had to play it by the game's rules or else.

There was also way too much to do. 50 survivors in 3 days, 12 bosses, and the plotline was a little hectic. If you had given me 5 days it wouldn't be that much of a problem. The save system was also garbage as it didn't help matters much.

Finished up both MGS2 and Bioshock this weekend. To be honest, I was more disappointed in MGS2's ending than Bioshock's. Otherwise tho, they both had some solid gameplay and compelling stories.

I think I'm finally ready to dig into Fallout 3 now. And I guess I'll give Final Fantasy XII another shot.

I'm glad I'm not really interested in many games coming out in the next couple months. Gives me time to work on the backlog. The ones I am interested in I can certainly wait for a price drop.

The Witcher has hands down the best morally ambiguous decisions in any game I've played. I love it, with the exception of some annoying crashes to desktop.

I tried it on XBL and it sucks. Theres no rhyme or reason to how it plays, i tried making rectangles like the game said, and 50% of the time it wont work, but others do. Its ridiculous.

I have yet to encounter that, since every time a monster appears there's music to always signal they're coming. Sounds awesome though, I can't wait :-P

only way i'll get prototype is if it getes rave reviews/impressions and it has nice value since i'll be getting it or red faction stupid cheap so im tryin to get the maxe replay value etc i can along with the price not dropping dramatically for awhile
