Both of the SF's on Xbox 360.. even the old Guilty Gear.

Not that this will change anyone's mind but I'll at least explain why I disagree.

SFIV - The graphics are 3D so it don't count.

SFIIHD - Still frames look great, but it suffers from the same stiff animation from 2 decades ago. CvS on NGPC has more fluid animation.

Guilty Gear - Much the same with SFIIHD. The animation has never been the series forte.

Kind of hard to rag on animation too much--there's definitely a cost factor in doing more frames, and of course it changes the balancing/performance of the game as well.

i always called them quarter-circle characters, throw characters and charge characters.

also, KoFXII does look really pretty just the animation isn't that great. SF3 has better animation, although just purely aesthetically KoFXII looks much, much better. It looks about as good as STHD, with similar animation.

I think out of SF2 Remix, SF3: TS, and KOFXII.. it goes like this:

:whee: The adapter came today! :whee: Threw it in my PC.... and Windows couldn't install it. After a couple hours googling stumbled on a random forum where someone mentioned that the cards are made pretty poorly, and don't seat right in the PCI slot. So, taking their advice, I gently filed down the board where the pins are... and it WORKED!

So if anyone needs a cheap PCI-USB adapter, this works, but might be a bit of work (I'd try it out first, then file if necessary). (should only be necessary if you have an nForce chipset on your mobo and want to use a PS3 stick on ur pc)

Bouncin through 3S, JoJo's, and Vampire Savior to try and learn the stick. Got qcfs down well, srk's decently, but hcf/b's and qcb's are shit for me. I don't seem to hit back, and stop at down-back.

I don't buy that. Not that I don't believe they said this, I just don't believe that's SNK's true reason. I think most everyone would agree less pixels is better. It's a 2D fighter, how much more "old school" can we get. If they were worried about alienating pixel lovers then add a filter, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard.

i think of it more as the athena that had a fireball that recovered super fast. also i think if you threw a fireball and teleported afterwards, the screen wouldn't move, so it's like the opponent can always be trapped in a corner

ie. if the costume packs for SFIV released for $1.99 instead of $3.99 it would be very acceptable. The trade off is capcom would have more sales, but make as much money as the $3.99 sale price.

Yeah, 99 introduced the strikers. I had problems with the disc-version on PSX. It was a nightmare to pull off special moves no matter what controller/stick I used. I'll probably pass unless someone mentions some improvements.

I got it since I enjoy having a library of PS1 fighters... so far i got all the US fighters... SFA1, Tekken 2, and KoF99.

Seems like it may be a decent idea, epecially since I seemed to scare a certain someone off from playing CvS2...I think his name rhymed with "EurasianxCore." ;)

Quick question about Marvel vs Capcom (the first one on Dreamcast). I was playing the 4-Player mode a week ago (I think t's called Crossover Battle or something) Anyways I was trying to pull off the tag move where both characters are on the screen at the same time and instead of pulling off a super you can control them for about 5 seconds. I tried several times but couldn't pull it off. I was doing the motion d,db,b, HP+HK but got nothing. Is that right? I was starting to think maybe you can't even do the move in that mode.

The save was locked to the old machine apparently. Oh well, I'll look for any excuse to replay it again. The career mode is pretty interesting and well done and I foresee this to be a popular party game when my co-workers and I have a "stress-relief" day.

After looking at my sf iv data and seeing that I have about 120 hours logged on it, I have to say I'm bored with it. Found it fun at first but after awhile to many of the little things add up to make me just want to shelf it and move on. I simple hate the short cut option they have added in, find it more of a pain than it helping. Not to fond also of how its paced, to much can be won though turtling and specials than a faster more combo pace.
Being more of a rushdown. combo heavy player this game just doesn't offer enough for me I think. While it is fun in short bursts, for me I don't really see myself coming back to play it years from now like I do with other sf games, mainly third strike and alpha 3, hell even super turbo.
Guess this is mainly making me look forward more to kofxii which I really have not thought to much about, and of course bb. Eh just random thoughts late night while the old lady is pass out.

Ahh darn, I'd lend you my copy but then we still couldn't play each other ;)

There's still 360 CE's floating around, but I haven't seen that many PS3 ones anywhere really.
