Anyone getting a PS3 Just for LBP?

I have been real happy with my Wii and have been trying to decide between the PS3 and 360. Then I saw this and I thought, Holy Crap that is a sweet game. Anyway just bought one of the first releases and now going to get the PS3 tonight. Can't wait to play this game. Also saw Burnout at a Gamestop running on the PS3 and my decision was basically made. My 42" HD was just screaming for something other than the Wii -- although I really love the Wii!

Anyone else getting the PS3 just because of LBP?

I know 3 people who plan to get a PS3 this holiday because of LBP. I've had a 60 since the summer it launched though.

I already have a 360 and LBP is about the closest I've gotten to wanting the PS3 (well, plus a few PS3-only DLC games).

Won't be getting it anytime soon though, I'll be spending a lot more on a guitar.

I don't care what game it is, it is never worth buying a current gen console for one game. I mean these cost around $400+. To invest that kind of money for one game is disgusting. I bought a N64 for Conker's Bad Fur Day. But that cost me $20 total.

No, that could quite possibly be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

1) LBP looks like a big bucket of boring and babyshit swirled together and then put on a vortexer to swirl it up more and create this huge bucket of bubbling, boring babyshit

I gotta agree with JSP here. LBP looks good and fairly interesting but it doesn't feel like there's much of a 'game' there. I guess we'll have to wait and see how the single player mode turns out.

I was starting to wonder if I was the only person in the world that wasn't impressed by LBP. To me it is equivalent to EPIC releasing a game called Unreal Planet and the whole game was the Unreal engine and you had to make your own game within it.

No but I did buy Eye of Judgment with the Playstation Eye for $30 from Walmart just for Little Big Planet.
