When a mod deletes my post, I think I should be told why. If a mod is trying to make things better by getting rid of the stuff that doesn't belong here but doesn't alert anyone to the violation then how am I supposed to know to stop?

I'm referring to my thread about offering to help people with carfax reports. I was volunteering to run reports for people while I still had time on my account. It was gone one day without a word mentioned to me. Pretty stupid in my book.

I understand your frustration, but it kinda sounds like you know why it was deleted.

I'm not the one who deleted the thread, though I agree why it was deleted.

CarFAX's TOS says you're not allowed to use their site to resell or making commercial use of their information. Offering it up to other people "for some MS points if you're feeling generous" seems like commercial use of the site to me, as well as other mods on here. Even if you're not getting anything for it, it says that it's for your own personal use, not for anyone else's use.

I'm sure you have access of the site from a YFG360 deal or something along those lines.

Reading the TOS for it would have shown what you're allowed to do and not allowed to do for the use of their site.

Link to the TOS for it:
