Turnips are 170 right now. The Wizard is predicting a large spike. I know I've been disappointed by my spikes in the past but this one feels different. Friday morning should be the day!

Huge thanks to converse for letting us come sell our turnips. I paid off my first house debt to Nook and have 30,000 bells to spare! Not bad for 6 days into the game.

Wow, 2 500+ prices this week!

So, hybrids. What's the best way to grow them if you really don't want to get into the whole TT thing? Based on the conversation I had in converse's town last night (thanks for opening your gate again...up to 8.2M bells in bank), I should water them everyday? I've only been watering them if they start to die. Also, is there a 'best' planting pattern? I've been planting flowers in a checker-board or on-diagonals pattern...

i didnt get 8.2M but i got 2.2M :) how much did u invest eugaet ? i think u need to water all of them to make hybrids i cud b wrong, ask prim he def knows lol, i believe the best pattern is having two flowers diagonally with nothing next to any side of them and so forth, if gives more opportunities to hybrid, putting more than 2 flowers limit the location the hybrid would appear. but i feel like the T is most effective in maintaining. after i get my HRA 150,000 points i want to get the boxing theme it looks awesome. anyone i may trade for it?

I'm going to give it a chance to show up first. Told the kids to expect Pete to show up soon, but wouldn't tell them what it was. They finally pestered me enough to get 'Nintendo couch' out of me.

Can't exactly recall how many turnips I bought. Pretty sure I had a little more than 2M bells in the bank after buying turnips on Sunday, so to bump it to close to 8.2M, I must've bought 10400 turnips. Usually, the number I buy is evenly divisible by 1500, but I bought one red turnip with the last batch (which I promptly forgot to water). Not sure what I bought at, but I'm sure it was less than 100 bells per turnip. Even at 100 bells each, it would have been close to a 5M bell profit. I know I spent less than 1M bells for all 10400 turnips.

The white DSi bench out right now is a UK DLC. They got theirs yesterday. Working on getting the Japan Student Cap DLC right now.

Edit: Just got the student cap. The shirt is actually a pattern and is available in my Able's.

Back from the grave! At least temporarily.

The 5th is my 5x day as well. I see it as a perfect opportunity for a giveaway:

Tom Nook will be stocking as many thrones as possible. It's faster than buying a bunch of moons, so I don't really feel bad about cheating in this way. I will also have white katanas and moons available to catalog.

I have not ever come into contact with hacked DLC, only the official Nintendo DLC is enabled on my file.

Any requests? Pikmins were hot items last time as I recall. What about Nintendo DLC or region exclusive items?

Also Joan will have no red turnips if you TT the week before. Having said that, if you TT in order to buy (white) turnips you will be ok as long as you don't TT again before you sell them. I.e. don't set the clock back to correct time until you sell them.

Allright guys, I sold the game, and have no real reason to stay subscribed to this. Either make a new thread with Doomed (or Crunchewy, if Doomed doesn't want to) to make the Friend codes list have real meaning and bring more life back to the thread. Or you can keep doing this, like you have been. Anyways, PM me if you need anything (such as permission to use my old, semi-complete friendcode list), and any posts you make on here I will no longer see. It was fun while it lasted...

I quit from January-April, so I'm probably not the best person to start the new thread. However, the spreadsheet of active Friend Codes seems like a really good idea and we could just link to that in the OP of the new thread.

I found out recently that Animal Crossing Wii's actual data (not the empty data that fills the disc so the Wii can read it) totals 0.32 GB. Nintendo could have filled this with so much more. :-(

Animal Crossing: City Folk - Some People Still Play It!

It's more of the same as Animal Crossing: Wild World on Nintendo DS, but the game really shines in the online mode. You can use the WiiSpeak microphone add-on or just plug in a USB keyboard, making communication easy.

If you are an active player, feel free to add your name (in alphabetical order) to the Google spreadsheet (http://spreadsheets.google.com/lv?key=p-uTIBed0ZAUkdwbKKaYQAQ&pli=1). To do so, open the link in spreadsheet view (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=p-uTIBed0ZAUkdwbKKaYQAQ). Click on the number for a row directly below where your row would be, then click Insert->Row above.

Getting a friend code

First, your Wii must be able to connect to the Internet. I cannot help you here, but in most cases you will need a wireless router.
Start AC:CF.
Go to the gate at the top-center of town.

Fruit Mark them as "Yes" if you have fully grown trees of that variety of fruit. "No" if you don't have any trees, and "Native" if that was the fruit your town started with. Native fruit sells for only 100 bells each, in comparison to all nonnative fruits but coconuts selling for 500 bells each.
Time Zone Your time zone in real life. If you're in the USA, check http://time.gov/ and write the abbreviation for the time zone you're in.
Nook's The name of the store Tom Nook is currently operating in your town.
Charm The charm given to you by Katrina at the right of the City once per month.

The following items can only be obtained through the use of hacking tools:

The following items were actually created by hackers, and are not official Nintendo DLC. If Nintendo decides to release more than 252 pieces of DLC, you will be unable to get at least for pieces of DLC if you come in contact with someone who has the hacked DLC. Currently, I am unaware of any active players on CAG who are in contact with hacked DLC.

Adding Friends for Online Play
When you want to add someone as a friend, the only information that is required is their friend code. Their town and name can be gibberish, and once you meet with that person it will correct itself automatically. There are several people in my friend list who once had names of "p" that the game filled in automatically.

A few questions:

1) Is anyone still offering up white DSi benches?

2) Is there a time limit for the fishing tournaments, or do they go all day Saturday? And how often do they occur? I'll be in LA all day Saturday.

3) What does it mean when you've added a friend and they have a heart that's not filled in next to their name?

1) I can try and get you one. I think I can buy it from my catalog.

2) They end at six and they seem to have one a month.

3) It means that they have added you too, but you have not met up in the AC world yet so until such time you cannot send letters to them.

Any requests for items? Two CAGs have PMed me asking for some hacked items, and if others want some too it's easier to do it all in one go.

Newest project: In two days, all four of my player controlled houses will be their maximum size with flags. In addition to having ABD's already in their houses right when you walk in, I am going to send an ABD with a friendly letter to every animal in my town. Eventually, I might have satellite banking operations in almost every building in town. I hope at least one puts an ABD in their house. That would be awesome.

Seems like it'll be easier than trying to get furniture from the other special visitors (Jingle, Pave, etc).

Bunny Day takes place on Easter. Zipper T. Bunny (http://accf.wikispaces.com/Zipper+T.+Bunny) will host this event. The eggs will be hidden underground (dig up the star cracks). If you find a foil in the eggs, then give the foil to Zipper and he will give you a piece of the egg series (http://accf.wikispaces.com/egg+series).

Zipper is one of the "nicer" special visitors. You will have 30 eggs hidden in your town, 12 with foil and 18 with candy. Zipper is nice enough to NOT give you duplicate items for your 12 pieces of foil. Also, each character gets their own set of eggs.

Sounds like something that can be done with just one person. I noticed that too when I visited a town and came back. There were dig spots where there weren't any before. Really easy to get all the eggs and the egg furniture that way.

I finally found it. I think they were just messing with me. I was running all over town searching it inch by inch and it just appeared out in the open by one of the houses in an area I know I searched. The set is kind of ugly but I'm keeping it for now. lol

I got the set just to add to my catalog collection, but I have no plans of keeping it...in fact it's sitting by my front gate free for the taking right now. If anyone needs a piece to complete their collection let me know (egg set).

Also, I still have the throne for anyone who wanted it. I did some spring cleaning in my wardrobe today to make room for my excess candy and found a number of old furniture pieces I had been keeping and forgot about. I'll try to have my gates open sometime this week too.

I had done some TT previously to load up on some of the Easter Eggs, not that it was necessary, but I am glad I did it as I have a good 20-25 pieces of candy in reserve for the next event (whenever that may be). I wasn't crazy about playing all of the games for Festivale, so if the other events surrounding candy are so time consuming this will be a nice backup supply.

I had a lot of fun with Bunny Day. It was thrilling to be able to get the entire set of furniture, without going through all that agony that Pave put me through. I am prepared next year with a pile of candy, because that Pave carpet and lamp are kind of pretty....I love the egg lamp and the toy, the wooden sound the wardrobe makes when you open it is nice.

About a month ago I finally visited 2 towns, and got lots of fruit. I am still working on planting things, but my town will never be as organized as other towns here - the second I start mapping things out, I'll get bored and stop since it will seem like a chore. I wish I had more green grass, but my sweetie and I like to run around like maniacs, so I guess it isn't meant to be. We slow down for the flowers, though - I now have 2 black tulips, 2 pink cosmos, and a purple and a blue pansy. Exciting.

It was great to visit others - I'm still thinking about how colorful Romeo's town would be during the daylight! So many flowers... but I actually had a bit of an anxiety attack after all my visiting. Apparently the BF was going to go online and surprise me with piles of foreign fruit, but stopped when he found out he would have to talk to someone to arrange it - I would have found him unconscious in front of the Wii with a stroke-level blood pressure and blood jetting out of his nose, whereas I just hyperventilate and get nervous and pass out. It is interesting that I would have found it easier to visit in real life to take fruit, however, the BF finds both online and real life interaction to be stressful. Perhaps it is because it is new to both of us. Ahhh, we both...suck.

You don't suck Zephyrsaurus. A LOT of people struggle with social anxiety, myself included. You are who you are. Just go at your own pace and try not to beat yourself up about it :grouphug:

If you need more fruit you can always write letters to your villagers. If it's short enough, just one sentence or two short ones, they'll mail you back a piece of fruit or a shirt in return.

Make sure your words are spelled correctly and always include a gift so you'll get one back. Likewise, if you write a medium length letter you will receive leaf furniture in return. And long letters will yield a mixture of leaf furniture, carpets or wallpapers.

Grass is something I've really taken an interest in lately. All of the places I had flowers at in the beginning of the year are now packed solid with beautiful green grass. I've now moved all of those flowers to bare patches and I'm watching as those places are also getting covered in the green stuff.

But hands down the most helpful was creating paths. I run like crazy on my paths. Laying them down is time consuming but well worth the effort for grass growing.

In addition to what Janet said about flowers/grass, if you don't want to water your flowers every day, go to Robert's town or anyone else who has the charm that makes it so flowers won't wilt. Works great. I haven't had to water at all, which is nice when you have a town full of flowers. And... if you have the flower charm for your town and a visitor does it, your flowers also won't wilt either.

Tax day DLC tomorrow - I wonder what it'll be, I have a few ideas, but you never know. While NoA is giving us the tax day item, it looks like NoE is having a DLC contest for people to design and vote on DLC:

So I had my gate open for a couple hours last night.

Between 2 of us, we ended up catching 6 Coelacanth in the 2 hours, 3 each. I thought it was pretty crazy. I've never seen anything like that before. I'm used to fishing for 4-5 hours and not even seeing one.

I just bought the game two days ago and today was my first trip to the city. I got a charm from Katrina in which a visitor needs to plant five flowers in my town and that THEY will have a chance to get the charm instead of me. Anyone know what this one does or anything? Thanks.

Oh and can I just add people from the forum, go to their towns and take their fruit and shop at Nooks? Is that considered ok?

(Oh and I have summer town, if that's when everything is sunny and bright. Yesterday it rained but today it was perfect, just a few clouds).

You have to have their friend code. I am willing/eager to be your first friend!!! Just pm me your information. My info is below.

Most people don't care about you taking fruit. Etiquette is starting to evolve on Animal Crossing.

No running.
No taking flowers unless you ask first.
Fruit is usually ok.
No digging unless you ask first.
Items located in the "rocky" area of the gate are free for the taking.
Absolutely no chopping down trees unless part of a charm that has been discussed.
MY OWN RULE : BE EXTRA NICE TO "PUDGE" ... HE IS THE TOWN FAVORITE!!!!

I've given up on turnips. It's made the game a chore for me because I feel like I need to check in ever day. Also, AC never leaves the Wii for that same reason so I don't play anything else.

While paths/roads look pretty cool, they're kind of annoying to run on when you accidentally pick them up.

I got tired of having to fix my paths so much. I've slowly been removing them and using flowers as path borders instead of using patterns as walkway.

That's exactly the reason why I decided to use gyroids in my town.

I generally keep my gate open in case my one local friend is on. If I'm on, it's usually around 6:00 cst or later like 10:00. Feel free to add me and I'll make a note to add you. If I'm on super early in the morning, I generally don't bother opening my gate.

So I'm finally going to start playing over WiFi, now do you guys need my Wii code or my Animal Crossing code? What's the difference? And to register you guys I go to my Wii message board (on the main menu of the Wii) and add a new Wii console to my address book? Oh, and since there is only 20 slots who is on the most? I try to be on everyday for about two hours in the morning and two more at night.

I'll be AFK due to the Bulls game, but if anyone posts here saying they want to sell, I'll leave my gates open. All I ask is that you not take anything, even fruit. yourlefthand, I use a keyboard. More specifically, the Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110. I know some other people here use other Logitech wireless keyboards. You can also use any USB keyboard if you don't mind having a cord.

Hey guys- haven't posted in a while. I just have a question:

I haven't played since February- but my WiiConnect has still been on and active. Does that mean that I got all the DLC that has come out since then? Or would I have needed to sign in during that time frame? The nintendo website makes it sound like all you have to do it have the WiiConnect active.

I'm not sure. I wasn't on when they were giving out DSi benches and a week after I checked in and he was standing by the door. Same for the ugly little Pikmin hat. I also didn't sign in for the St.Patrick's Day thing but I didn't get a hat. I have no idea how it works.

After you get Nookingtons, Nook will ask you if you're happy with the store. If you say you want better hours it will downgrade back to nook'n'go or whichever store is open until 1 a.m. If you say you like variety he will keep it the same. He asks this about once a month or so.

I have the full chess set, most of the egg series, and some Pave stuff. I also have Royal Crowns, throne, probably all of the mario series, and regular "girlie" crown ... and willing to trade some/all for FLOWERS, FLOWERS, FLOWERS!!!!!

I don't know if you're looking for rare flowers or just any, but I'm about to open my gate and I have 4 flowers available in my store.

For everyone- 489 bells per turnip right now. I was just able to get on for the first time today and cashed in for nearly 250 grand. As I said, I'll be leaving my gate open, so you will have until 10 Pacific/1 A.M. Eastern to sell turnips and feel free to buy anything that's left in the store as well. I will be idle, as I'm watching the Lakers game, but I will also try to check back here in case anyone wants me to add them. No promises when or if I will be able to add anyone, but like I said, I'll try to check back here just in case.

I know that I asked this before about japanese dlc a couple of posts back.

Someone answered my question that it is possible to transfer dlc from a jap ac:cf to an american one.

Anyone got a japanese copy and dlc could we possibly trade??

Or there isn't a diehard animal crossing fan here that has the jap and u.s copy :(
