Holy crap that was beyond fun. Chilling in Texas with Janet, Io (and his kids), and Dmunkee was some of the most fun I've had in gaming in a loooooong time.

I took tons of pictures and will have to post them up tomorrow. So many hilarious things happened.

It is downright stupid how much fun you can have in this game considering how simple it is and how seemingly limited the options are, because it turns out that the game is actually quite deep in terms of imagined things to do and try.

Man, that was a blast hanging out with Daisydog, Io, and Strell for lord knows how long. Way too many hilarious things happened all throughout the night.

The best part was when me and my wife were talking (quietly in the background - hope you didn't hear) and meanwhile the baby (who will be 1 in less than a week) got into the cat food. He had himself a snack... ultra-gross... Anyway, as we're cleaning him up the two older boys decided to fight over who got to play with you guys. So there was some stress and yellin' back and forth for a minute there. The mic had to get muted for a while there until all that got sorted out. But all the good stuff (in game) happened after that so it was cool that you guys put up with all the noise ;).

I wasn't sure if you guys knew who you were playing with for most of that last part. It got quiet once I got the 8 year-old to bed, so that was my 5 year-old (who can't quite read much yet, but he seemed to pick up on what you guys were doing nonetheless). Funny thing about the noisy older one: he didn't speak A WORD in school until earlier this year (selective mutism). He was always somewhat noisy at home, but it is actually good to see him so loud and proud with strangers like that as he used to not say a word to anyone but family (though he has been speaking just fine in school the last several months anyway).

The younger one doesn't have that problem but he was somewhat quiet at the end because that's our usual one-on-one game time together and he knows to be quiet because everyone else is asleep.

Indeed, this game just has so much unmatched charm and character. We essentially played pretend for hours on end and that was the most fun I've had in so long. The weekend needs to be here now, we have to do it again sometime!

Now I missed a picture before this next one, but we proceeded to corral Elvis onto the little outlet, and then trapped him with shuvels so he couldn't come after us anymore. And this was great fun in and of itself, until he pulled out a net. Someone (Janet or Dmunkee, I am sorry I missed the pictured) yelled out

And I spent, literally, the next ten minutes laughing my damn ass off. I literally couldn't keep playing - had to put the controller down, couldn't see, tears streaming down my face - the whole thing.

Dmunkee teaching Io's kid things he won't understand and will surely ask his father about later, thereby embarassing our mod.

I tried to get a picture of people running into each other when you roll around on the bed, but I kept missing it. Pictures really ought to be saved directly to the SD without the need to authorize it, because it slows down how quickly I can take/save them.

These pictures don't include group efforts to capture mole crickets (we got four!), the fishing competitions we had (dmunkee got a koi, Daisy caught a tuna), musical chairs in the Roost (hilarious), and a game of Pacman in the museum (which - if you got enough shells and had someone hid them and designated one person Pacman and the others ghosts - you could totally set up). We also tried to play Paper-Scissors-Rock with Shovel-Net-Pole, but we couldn't figure out who won. :/ We need to right rules for that. Note: you DO need someone to audibly call out 1 2 3, because you can't type and select an item fast enough for it to work the other way.

Again, this is all the product of playing the game with people who clearly want to make it fun. I had a blast, and honestly, I didn't expect to. You look at AC and it DOES seem extremely limited, but then you play it with fun people and the possibilities are endless.

nobody has visited my town yet, but i know in WW that you could have all mail delievered if someone visited your down. so if you have stuff on order just open your gates, when someone gets there then you have your stuff mailed to you.

Mail delivery is in the morning sometime and again at 5pm. But in wild world you could mail about 10 letters out and that would force your mail to be delivered instantly. It's probably true for City Folk as well. I haven't even mailed a letter yet. In Wild World I became quite obsessed with the workings of mail. I'm trying not to turn back into that... yet.

Game still rocks, but it is largely - largely - the same game, so don't complain about that going in.

Even more addictive because there is more to do, more to see, and wifi makes it deeper.

I think it is worth the 50, but I love the series unabashedly, so I'm biased.

Wiispeak works rather well, but not many people (understandably) have it. I haven't heard any complaints on people that I've used it with, and it's worked well enough for sound coming toward me. I'm a good 8 feet away from my TV and it picks me up without problem.

4 yo would like it BUT it would be best to relegate them to activities like fishing where reading isn't required.

I randomly caught a key when I went fishing just now! My first thought was to give it to you, but then I wondered if one of MY neighbors was locked out. So I checked around, and sure enough, someone was missing their keys. The reward? I got 500 bells

So if your still having problems finding the key, and if he's still looking for it, just do lots of fishing. Hopefully you get a better reward than me.

Hey Strell, I think when someone is locked out (I haven't had this happen to me, yet) you go to the Town Hall. Go to the Civic Center and one of the options is to complain .. or something like. You can report a person for being a dick head, OR there's an option for "Lock out".. I never chose that, so I don't know if it means YOU can be locked out or if you can go to Town Hall and let them know someone else is locked out.

That's pretty much answers my question - I simply wanted to make sure that I didn't have to toggle any WiiConnect24 options within the game (besides opening my gates) in order to be able to have visitors when I'm not playing. The manual alluded to there being some sort of WiiConnect24 menu at the main screen, but I wasn't able to find it, hence why I asked.

The carpet camel was in my town today. I apparently didnt have any old carpets on me, but a couple of villagers gave me theirs. But she only gave me a carpet i passed up in Nooks store, and one i already had. LOL.

I also saw one of my villagers, and they looked like they had fleas jumping off them. I thought it was weird, then i went into Nooks store and thought, maybe i can catch a flea off them with my net, but when i came back out the same villager didnt have them anymore. Which is weird because they were standing right outside of Nooks.

No, your town will stay however you left it when you head out.

Also, if I need to carry extra stuff that I'm not using, I simply attach them to letters as presents. This works for read and unread letters you have, so you get a few extra spaces for carrying stuff. One thing I was really hoping they'd implement is a backpack or something you could by for carrying extra things :cry:

I just realized that your closet space is 160 items total. Even if you have two closets or dressers, you still have 160 storage spaces because the inventory is shared between them.

You can time travel to get the mush set if you want. It won't cause much harm to your town.

I really don't know why people are not getting Tom Nook to upgrade. You may have to have yours and others houses upgraded to actually be able to get Tom Nook to upgrade.

Question: What is the most efficient way of making cash? Fishing or catching bugs? My brother seems to be making a ton of cash somehow, really quickly. I don't really understand how, but he just does. I mean one day he has none, then when I see his character again it has like 50k... I guess I'm kind of slow at making cash, but maybe it's because I don't have the patience.
