I hit the max on FCs last night. Ended up trashing a few that still didn't have the heart sign. Probably going to trash a few more from people that aren't showing up frequently in/on here. Then I added some guy who....well I don't think he's a CAG, so he might get baleeted also.

I'm almost positive FC limits are due to keeping save files small. Which strikes me as dumb for a few reasons. The first is that it's just text data - it can't take up much space at all, and I imagine you could have infinite lists within 1-2 blocks at the most. It really should be a "you can expand if you want" sort of thing.

The second is that this is just another example of Nintendo not getting the fact that storage space is a big deal, and they could solve it in any number of ways. The first? Unified FC/names like everyone else uses, so we don't need to worry about it on a per-game basis, effectively cutting the space needed down by several times. It's much like how each VC game comes packaged with the emulator to play it - why not just force a download of all the emulators and remove it from the ROM? That'd cut down on space too.

If they actually did both of these things, I'm betting the number of people with storage issues would drop by half, actually. That wouldn't solve the problem....and actually I guess it would fuel their insane fire that it's not a problem to begin with....

On a related note, I wish they'd cut out some of the "fluff" of AC. When I take a pic, it should save automatically to an SD card. When I pick money up off the ground, it should add to my wallet automatically. I know Japanese gamers are more forgiving of monotonous actions (hence their love of RPGs OH SNAP YES I DID I WENT THERE), but seriously - let's cut out some of the more miscellaneous, unneeded commands.

The game is released on Dec. 5th in Europe. Which sucks as its my brother in laws birthday. So even though he's getting a wii, neither him or his older brother will probably be on as they will be celebrating the birthday. =(

I think some of the information I had was incorrect as far as times go. I tried all day yesterday to catch a centipede with no luck, but after 7pm I was able to catch a bunch of them. I don't think they come out until after 7pm. But it was also snowing, so I don't know...

Here is an idea i had, ....Animal Crossing spin off with a Legend of Zelda theme. I think it would be cool to live in a world like AC but with a Zelda theme. Rupees instead of Bells, Toon Link style art, everything we love about AC but give it that Zelda twist. I dunno....to me it seems natural.

This works with the fountain in your town- not the one in the City.

You gain the fountain in town after donating a TON of bells to the town fund.

Also, apparently any of the other rewards are not accumulative. As in, in order to get the fountain you have to donate an additional 500k bells, not 300k bells. I still need about 100k more in order to receive the fountain. :cry:

I like catching the bitterlings. They are easy to spot (tiny in river) and sell for 900 bells. I caught a bunch today, with one being a goldfish which sells for more 1,300! So yeah. Otherwise when i fish in the sea i always get sea bass, Dab, Horse Mackerel, and other fish worth hardly anything.

You have to place coconut trees on the edge of the sand.

I read that 3 spaces above the sand would assure growth from your nuts. That's also assuming you don't have a lot of trees in that acre (16 is max?).

Edit - dammit, dammit. My Wii is still not seeing my Wifi access any more. It did this last night and is continuing now. I can see my neighbors but it isn't picking mine up. If I take my iPhone to where the Wii is I get perfect wireless signal (off my home network). The Wii has always been very weak with the wireless and this is just crap. I'll need someone else to confirm this for me, but I checked out the "Nook changes his prices at 12 AM thing," and it looks like he DOES change it, and the price remains in effect for 12 hours.

So instead of it being 3 prices a day, it's just that the late night change ends up being the morning price for the following day.

Yesterday it was 122 in the morning, then 77 during the day, then 99 or so at night. When I checked this morning, it was still 99. So I think there's still only two prices a day, technically - it's just that you could argue there's three.

But like I said - someone needs to confirm this with me.

I might be around tonight if people are chillin'. Got a small Christmas concert to go to 'round here.

2) Their catalog

I don't think you can visit your Wild World town. I think you can use DS Suitcase to visit someone else City Folk town if you bring the DS over to their Wii.

I'll need someone else to confirm this for me, but I checked out the "Nook changes his prices at 12 AM thing," and it looks like he DOES change it, and the price remains in effect for 12 hours.

So instead of it being 3 prices a day, it's just that the late night change ends up being the morning price for the following day.

Yesterday it was 122 in the morning, then 77 during the day, then 99 or so at night. When I checked this morning, it was still 99. So I think there's still only two prices a day, technically - it's just that you could argue there's three.

You are the second person who mentioned this. How can you get a 12am price when Nook is closed at like 9 or something? I have Nookway and he closes damn early. That is the reason I have my AC clock set several hours early. Otherwise I'd never be playing when that bastard is open.

Also, are coelacanths only early? Me and the kids spent like 2 hours when it was snowing the other day and never even saw one but I think it was 9-11 pm or something.

Nook's Cranny: 8am-10pm
Nook n' Go: 7am-1pm
Nookway: 8am-10pm
Nookingtons: 9am-9pm

It's not out during the day (9am-4pm) but should be out the rest of the time. I know how you feel though, as it was snowing all day yesterday for me but I did not manage to catch one. Must be pretty rare.

The different Nook stores are open at different time. I have a Nook'n'Go and that stays open till 1 AM.

Haha... yeah, the DS Suitcase just uses the DS Download Play feature to store your character temporarily so you can bring him/her over to a friend's Wii to visit their town.

I'm not sure what would happen, but they stress to bring your character back to your Wii and do the DS Suitcase thing again... maybe you just lose any information from when you visited your friend's town?
