Seriously I have not seen or heard about 2 for $40 promo for a while. As many new big name games come out, they seem to be moving lots of stuff off their rental shelf to used game section.

Anyone seen any store doing it now?

There was 2/40 during thanks giving. Nothing good out but it happened.

I'm guessing the next one will happen on the weekend before Remembrance Day.

Rogers have been dropping like flies around Toronto anyways. Even when I want to visit one (usually during 2/40), I have to go out of my way. And most of the downtown locations have little to supply. When I am in Mississauga however, there are quality selections. A LOT of them.

On the other hand, Blockbuster has been steadily improving in my eyes. They're everywhere, and their used prices are fantastic. A few stores even have good stock in FREQUENTLY.

I am in toronto and I usually do okay during 2 for 40. Of course thats mainly because I only go hunting for like 2 games and only go out on pull day.

Apparently there will be one on the remembrance day long weekend.

I might do better, but we usually only have a couple of systems we're looking for. How's the Royal York/Bloor location? I've been itching to check it out, but I never find the time.

that ones actually usually terrible.

Which I'm not just saying cause I'm closest to. It just never has anything. I usually do allright at the wellesley one (which is mostly luck) and the kipling albion one. It really depends what you want and the corresponding sale to the games you want.

Last 3 I participated in I did good though. Got spyro and SSBB at one. Then GTA IV and GTA IV (sold the other GTA IV to pay for both) and lastly GTA IV and SCIV (both of which I traded into EB so I could grab Tales Vesperia CE.

2 for 40 is mostly luck. Since you're directly near me I can't really give you much advice but if you PM me with what you're hunting for I can PM you if i find out a rogers will have them and give you the phone of the rogers and so forth.

Wellesley one is terrible for me. It is probably the Rogers that is cleaned out the quickest though. I wouldn't be so down on Rogers, but they closed two of their best downtown stores in the Roncesvalles location, and the one on College & Crawford.

Not driving is always limiting, depending on the amount of time I care to spend on the TTC. ;)

Anyways, PM sent.

Which Mississauga location do you go to? I've never found anything at the Hwy10 and Bristol one.

I haven't seen it in Guelph for a looooooong time. I check pretty often and none of the staff seem to think it'll be back for a while :(

I'll keep checking and post back here if it ever comes back :)

I really hope mine participates in this next time. They actually have a really nice selection of good games for once, and they didn't take part in the Thanksgiving one.

South Common and the now two closed Clarkson locations were the ones I usually hit up.
Speaking of closings, it's a shame GameNOW in Mississauga/Oakville had to close up shop too.

That GameNOW owner supposedly packed up all the merchandise overnight and left the store vacant without notice. I heard that people that had preordered or reserved games and systems and paid were pretty pissed.

Horrible if true. The place was always very nice and friendly. Just a bit over priced, but the selection was good.

I hope they go after him if he will not refund preorders.

Yea, the South Common location is the only one I end up having any luck at. They always have new(ish) games during the 2/40 and the games are always in great condition.

When do these sales usually start, Thursday or Friday?

AFAIK, they start on Fridays, and go to Sunday night (unless otherwise stated).
