Check it out, it looks okay, but I am waiting for the final product before I make a decision. http://www.superherohype.com/batman/index.php?id=1944

Not Bad. But do we have to see Bane again.

One of my all time favorite Batman stories brought about the birth of Bane as a character. But then they had to have him take Batman out for awhile and from that alone it's all about Bane. He's neither an intersting villian or character.

I guess I will have a reason to wake up early on Saturday mornings again.

THe death knell for Bane was to be reduced to a near brainless flunky in the last movie. A choice that was clearly whoring to the younger fan base who only cared about characters they knew well in few years they'd been reading. They could just as easily used any number of other muscle-bound ninnies like Amygdala without trashing a good potential storyline for future films.

it's really too bad that Kevin Conroy isn't the voice of Batman. This new guy sounds like a nancy-boy.

And U-2 doing the theme song? That's points against it right there...

um kinda off topic:
anyone know the relationships between lana lane and lois lane in superman? or do they have no relations at all except the same last name?

It's Lana Lang, I believe.

OK, first of all, that logo has to go. Way too much like the old Adam West show's logo to not make me cringe.

What's with Batman's cowl? How does that stay in place? Glue? Or is it really rigid so it stabs him in the cheek when takes a hit?

WTF did they do to Bane? (Or should I say Venom?) What give with the flip-top head, giving him a jaw like a Pez dispenser. (Or like Julia Roberts when she distends her jaw in preperation to eat a rabbit whole. She only looks like she's smiling.)

Nah, it's perfect. From what I've heard this new show is all about his wacky gadgets, like the old 60s series. He'll be whipping out Bat Shark Repellant again soon enough, so the logo works.

I like the logo too. The show HAS to be better than the new Justice league, at least.

They don't share a name. It's Lana Lang.

Lana Lang grew up with Clark Kent in Smallville, both in version with and without Superboy. She has always been a redhead until the recent Smallville series. While incredibly cute Kristin Kreuk is all wrong for the character. If Annette O'Toole were that age again she'd be a vastly better choice. (As she appeared in this http://imdb.com/title/tt0076500/ for example.)

Back in the 50's and 60's there used be all kinds of whacky Superman stories that revolved around the strange abundance of people with the initials LL in his life.

Lex Luthor
Lois Lane
Lana Lang
Lori Lemaris (a mermaid Clark dated in college. Really, I'm not kidding.)
and a bunch of others who mostly languish in obscurity today.

In which case the show doesn't work. I have no patience for dredging up that old crap. It was horrible when I was five years old and hasn't gotten better with age. I have no desire to return to the day when EVERYTHING in movies and TV derived from comics was offensively stupid garbage.

just saw the clip, I'm glad it was plenty violent. I always have a fear that they will have batman tie everyone up with ropes and never throw a punch.

I've also heard that this batman show is going to have lots of gadgets and different suits to fight villians. I don't know about this. I don't want the show to turn into some Iron Man cartoon. I think part of the reason they are going to have so many different gadget batman shows is so they can pump out "night attack", "snow Storm", 'Fire blast" batman toys.

(1) I am so sick of American-developed cartoons that take too many cues from Japanese cartoons. In this clip, there's those damn streaking-line backgrounds when people jump and such. It's cheap and it's lame. What made the original Batman cartoon series great was its unique noir style. It had a lot of character. This does not.

(2) I too am disturbed by the lack of Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman. This guy does not sound like Batman to me. No rasp to his voice at all.

(3) Overall lack of basis in reality. Sure, in the original cartoon Batman fought giant plants and clay monsters, but at least he couldn't jump fifteen feet in the air or knock a man through the air, putting a massive dent in a van ten feet away.

Personally I'm more disturbed by Mark Hamill not playing the Joker anymore. I can't picture anyone but him as the Joker anymore. He was perfection in the role.

Have you seen the joker yet? He looks like his own carnival attraction...

Looks like shit compared to the old animated series.
