Those things are $2000-2800.

Do you have any idea how much effort it requires just to get, like, a $60 game from one of those sites?

Don't waste your time, dude.

Also, don't waste your money on a Macbook. You can get a Windows laptop that's just as good for a fraction of the price.

no i think some of us actually might have that much free time and effort to expend. I might do it myself if I could find a decent recommendation. Ordinarily I'd say check out the referral forum... but I doubt you'll get anything non-partial there.

The only service I can vouch for is the goon. Gaminglagoon, Electroniclagoon, Pokalagoon whatever they have now. It works I've gotten some gaming stuff from them.. it's in my sig but to get enough points for a laptop would take far more time than you'd care to input. Probably more than a year.

You still didn't get one? Didn't you ask this like in August? Well just a heads up (no offense or anything) but the answers are still somewhat the same. If you need the laptop fast, which I'm assuming you don't, You're better off just getting a job or having a relative buy it for your birthday or christmas. If you don't mind waiting and trial-and-error, then go ahead and do any of the goon sites like Wolfkin said. Or you can try some of the "Trainn Innovations" sites (ex. your360games4free.com). You can also check the anything4free forums for other sites that'll help you get it for "free".

(Note: I know that this forum gets more hits than the one you are supposed to put this kind of thread into, but please put the threads in the right forums next time. This belongs in "Other Deals & Requests."

Note to Mods: I'm not promoting any of these sites, I'm just telling the user the options that are open to him. Just a BTW/Disclaimer lol ^_^.)

While we're handing out free laptops I'd also like a free car, free education and a free house please.

Geez OP, take the cash from your alienware and buy one. What's with the gimme gimme?

This had to be a joke. I must say, there are pretty cheap laptops you can find. Obviously, they aren't new or this years model. That is what one gets, if you want one free.

Someone might give you a free 1984 Mac

eh, if you want a mac, then just ditch the pro and get a normal Macbook. You'll still have like $1200 or so leftover which you can use on a desktop

Contradiction = GoTo Wolfkin's post.naa it's a matter of scale. I can see getting a game.. even a $50 game or maybe a few. Myself I've put forth quite a bit of effort but I've only gotten .. well it's in my sig but 2000 wii points, Classic Controller and a $20 game. So that's $60. for a total cost of $2.75 (i did use one paid offer) If you were asking for something in the realm of say $100-200 dollars that can work easily but something in the realm of say $900-$1400 that's a beast of a different breed.

Sure getting a big ticket item is a lot of work but don't underestimate the referral sites. I needed a PS3 and i could not afford one. So i paid 10 friends $10 bucks each to go a $3 offer. I kept an excel sheet with when they signed up along with when they should cancel. It might take some effort but for a $100 max (actually less because 4 people did it as a favor) 60gb PS3 I would say it is worth it.

As for games it is crazy easy to get a game for no to little money at all. Yourfree360games has been the most reliable free games site I have ever used and you dont even need to get people to sign up under you if you dont want. 2 offers and you are done. Most offers do require some money but if you are averaging like $6 to $10 bucks a game I would say that is pretty good (especially if you get a guitar bundle like guitar hero world tour).

I just want you to know that it is actually possible if you research the offers and plan your attack. Just dont give up if you start. That is how they get their money.

With that being said though, a macbook would be way way hard to get. Just buy it. Or get games for free and sell them to pay for it.

Good luck to you either way!

IT IS NOT FREE.

Google the term "Opportunity costs."

And get a job. These things are great fro smaller ticket things, but for things this expensive, no way jose.

haha yes i know about about opportunity cost (i have studied economics) But i look at it this way, i give up my time+some money=more stuff for cheaper $ value but greater time spent getting the item. I do have a job lol
