Free Fable 2 "Exclusive" Limited Edition's DLC

So... it appears that some LE copies were shipped without the codes, so Microsoft is now giving them away for everyone that goes here:

and signs in with their Windows Live ID.
Yet another "exclusive" that the LE has lost :/ Good news for everyone that decided that the LE wasn't worth it after loosing almost everything that justified the price.

I was already signed into my live account before going to the link and it didnt ask me to resign in. I followed the link and it automatically filled in my email for the code to be sent and I followed the next link it stated I was all set and they will validate info and I should have my code in 10 business days. Not exactly in those words but you should get the picture. I dont think its a hack attempt as its actually on a microsoft page and if your already signed in you dont need to resign in or provide your password.

It's legit, though it only supposed to be for folks who didn't receive a code.

MS claims that they are able to tell when you are using a LE or not, but I doubt that strongly...

I dont. The same way they can tell the difference between you having played Halo 3 and GTA4 on your XBox account they can tell the LE and the regular version. Unless they made both game disks exactly the same, which I doubt.

But like I said in the first thread listing this deal, it cant hurt to try.

On of the comments there states both versions are the same:

I don't have my 360 as it RRoDed, and I only requested my code today, but since it just takes a simple sign in I don't mind trying.

Most likely they have no way to regulate it and it is another "those who used the towers trick will be quite surprised when they load their character" i.e. nothing. I bought the LE so basically I payed $10 for a making of DVD that I'll use as a coaster haha. If I hadn't bought it I'm sure I'd try it out. I paid the $10 for the content and I got it. Weather everyone else in the world gets it because they paid for it or not is not my concern. Doesn't make the Hal suit any less cool to me =)

Limited editions are never really "limited" anyways. Only a few select games they are worth getting. Bioshock became very scarce very fast, luckly I was able to pick that one up. Halo 2 and 3 were jokes. Oblivion was nice.

yea i bought it used on ebay with the game guide for 50 shiped for the collectors editon, so that was a ok deal i think, expecially since i got the L.E download content for free, awesome game, guide is useless being as i refuse to use guides, but 50 for the game a guide was a pretty good deal so

I used that link and I did get my DLC it's okay. There's supposed to be some super hard dungeon that it unlocks also but I haven't been able to find that though. But it does work, cause I bought the regular edition and still recieved the dlc code.

Just noticed this: Codes* will be sent out via email to the email address associated with your Windows LIVE ID within 10 working days.

I think I did my request on the 21st of DEC. so it sucks because the thing ends tomorrow the 31st and 10 working (business days?) would end up being after that date.

Dammit...I may just send in another request just to make sure I am in since if I dont get it after the 10 'working days' I can't request it again.

I only played a couple of hours. The last thing I did was the blacksmith minigame to get the achievement. Man, that poo poo was boring. The combat was fun if lackluster.

I might get back to it when (if) I finish Fallout 3.
