It was certainly more action-packed but the characterization was awful. Although The Question (whose presence in the satellite was a big problem right off) was the basis for Rorschach, he was never that kind of lunatic. This desire on the part of the writer should have been refused by the story editor. Why would the League play host to a guy so crazed he makes Green Arrow sound like the voice of rational skepticism. Somebody apparently wanted to play 'Dueling Denny O'Neill's.'

Not really Supergirl vs. Supergirl. That costume is Powergirl sans the cape. She was originally created to be the Earth-2 version of Supergirl back in the days when there was an Earth-2. (They later decided she was the grand-daughter of the Atlantean wizard Arion and had been on ice for 50,000 years or so.) They're laying the groundwork here for having an ongoing Powergirl by shoplifting the origin of the recent version of Superboy. It's like they took a whole bunch of old comics, chopped them up and randomly asembled them into a new storyline.

I thought the episode was pretty good. It's not like they're following the comics exactly so who really cares about continuity. Look at the X-men Flicks and Spiderman they changed some things and they ended up being really good.

I think Teen Titans is better then JLU this season tho. That whole storyline with Tera was great and so was this weeks episode with that Red X guy.

This weeks episode of JLU was decent. Some massive beatdowns were administered. The Question was funny too...

Supergirl "Do you go through my trash?"
The Question "Are you kidding? I go through everyones trash."

Teen Titans is getting better and better. Great action scenes between Red X and Robin. I just wish we found out who Red X was.

Man after the crappy episode two weeks ago, the last two weeks have been great. They're both serious and have a ton of humor. Not just stupid-silly.

For example, did you jnotice the voice of the guy with-out a vace. He sounds like the guy from reanimator, wthough I haven't checked the credits yet. Also, they had a Kolceck (spelling) reference. The reporter who asks his peer how he got the story of the disappearing scientists. He was dressed as and had the mannerisms of Kolceck.

Then this week, I think the voice of Elastic Man was Jeremy Piven from PCU. And wehen the transporter operator calls Booster Gold a "dufus" is classic. As for Elastic Man, "Plastic Man is already at the scene. We don't need another stretchy guy."

Here are some quotes...

Kid (To Booster Gold after getting autograph): "Aww... I thought you were Green Lantern"

Elastic Man: "I got nothing against Plastic Man. He has skills and I respect that. But I'm both elastic and a detective. That makes me bpth Plastic Man and Batman rolled into one!"

Booster Gold: "I'm not a real superhero. I can't do anything right."
Droid (After a pause): "I got nothin'."

Droid (After being ejected from a black hole): "It was full of stars..."

The Question was indeed voiced by Jeffrey Combs
http://imdb.com/name/nm0001062/

The reporter name your probably think of is Kolchak, as in 'The Night Stalker.'
http://imdb.com/title/tt0071003/

Not on Jeremy Piven's IMDB resume, even though the recording would have been made months ago. The character name I believe you're thinking of is Elongated Man, although the broadcast hasn't happened here yet. Back in the bad old days there was an Elastic Lad that was Jimmy Olsen using the same substance that makes Ralph Dibny so, um, flaccid.

This site has some background data on most of the recorded episodes, including some other notable voice cameos, such as Dakota Fanning as Kid Wonder Woman.

The last link says Jeremy Piven did perform Elongated Man.

Thanks for doing the leg work Epobris. If you haven';t seen this yet check it out when it airs. This was by far one of the best toons of the year! I would rate it as one of the best superhero episodes I've ever seen.

In the wonderful superhero satire 'The Specials'
http://imdb.com/title/tt0181836/ there is a scene where they examine their memorial to fallen members of the team. A disproportionate number of them were all Plastic Man/Elongated Man/Mr. Fantastic types.

It turns out that they all come from the same small town which features a serious toxic waste dump. It produces a lot of stretchy people who're also terminally ill.

This was the most enjoyable episode so far for me. I loved Skeet's "I got nothin'" after Booster's lamenting his failures as a hero.

edited for misreading the topic.

They made a full 1/2 hour episiode out of a side-story. the NEW Justice League SUCKS! I'm sorry, there are much better minor characters availible in the DC universe to explore. Some that have never had a TV incarnation. Elongated man can go pull on himself.

It wasn't until earlier this week that I realized what really bothered me about the first JLU episode. The version of Capt. Atom was completely wrong. That was Jim Shooter's Wildfire from the Legion!
