[Canada] Gears of War 2 Special Edition - hardcover artbook in French

It seems all 1st batch GoW2 SEs in Canada come with hardcover artbook in French. There's already a thread in Epic's forum

i got my LE at the midnight launch last night. got home and had the french book...i didn't care too much, though if they offer to switch them, i'll be all over it.

the bigger problem to me was when i tried to play the game i got the rrod. what luck huh?

Guys,

Microsoft manufacturers the game and handles distribution. Any codes provided for XBL Marketplace come from them.

But I will say (as a Canadian myself) living in English Canada and getting a French artbook is just plain wrong. I have emailed Microsoft about this. I wasn't even aware they were printing artbooks in French.

Not many Canadian CAGers seem to care about this, but here's word from VP of Epic.

I care because I don't want to see this happening again with a limited editions. I didn't know Mark Rein was a Canadian and still lives here, at least the problem won't be completely ignored. I've commented on a few sites and sent in news tips. Joystiq did have a post on it a few says ago I left a tip saying Mark has responded.
