It's been rather quiet on the off-topic front recently, so I thought I'd post this up to add a little spice...
There are quite a few posters with awesome or just deliciously wicked senses of humor on here, but we never get to see that come out save on rare occasions... re: The Dragonlordfrodo saga.
I'm offering myself up as a subject of ridicule in this thread.
Come on in, and take a few shots!
Who knows, maybe I'll join in with some self effacing and self deprecating humor! :)

I was thinking more in terms of vaudeville. Never go on after kids or animals, and other rules of stagecraft.

If you want to paint a target on yourself, you should do something thats extremely unpleasant like showing us your manboobs like DLF or post countless polls on your penis like Drico.

Is that to close Big Nick? That one was more about what people thought of me at time... kind of a test to see if I should lay off the fire and brimstone diatribes against the bounty of scam\exploit\piracry threads.
This thread was intented to spark a little life into the off topic..
since most of us are level headed and actually enjoy tossing jabs and insults back and forth, I saw this one as more of a roast than anything else.
In a way, I saw that thread as laying the groundwork for being about to make fun of myself in threads like this... I wouldn't make an open topic to let people make fun of me and banter back and forth if I actually thought the majority of the board disliked me.
I can see where it does seem similar thought.

well, if you have never heard their albums "pass out of existence" or "this present darkness" you may not realize that they are rap metal, but those albums are very rap metal. in my opinion, once you're rap metal you're always rap metal.
and just to let you know, that's not bjork's "army of me". to be sure, i downloaded chimaira's "cover" of it, but it's just a different song with the same name.

If you want some constructive criticism, then I feel that sometimes you can come across as harsh or self-righteous to a newer member who doesn't know the way things work. While disagreement and correction is usually called for, I feel that you should take better care with your tone and choice of words. Otherwise, I feel a majority of your posts have been constructive.

I realize that I do hold people to fairly high standards. But think about it... if I hold everyone else to such standards, imagine what ridiculously overbearing standards I must apply to myself.
While disagreement and correction is usually called for, I feel that you should take better care with your tone and choice of words.
Depending on the situation, you may be right.
Of course, there are many many times that the post you actually seem me post is drastically toned down from my orginal thought or what I originally posted.
