Is it ok to use them on a later date than printed? I didn't get a chance to send it out on Friday, and I want to know if it's still cool to send it out tomorrow.

It shouldn't matter unless you get a strict postal clerk who looks at the date. I have mailed stuff past the label date a bunch of times and never had a problem. Just this week I couldn't go to the Post Office on Saturday and mailed the items out Monday and some were already delivered.

Yea i've done it myself, it shouldn't be a problem. Technically you still paid for the item as it were to ship out.
It's not a big deal. I've printed them at work and forgot to bring them home before to send things out. I've never had a problem.

Nope, no issue, though I've always mailed within a few days of the print date.
I'd imagine they might have an issue if you did it more than a couple of weeks after the printing date. The USPS would be the only ones to tell you if there's an issue. Why don't you ask them when you drop your package off?

They end up printing out a postage label with $0.00 as its listed value and sticking it on the box next to your pre-printed label.
Some of them might sneer at you, but they still have to ship it. If they tell you that you need to buy new postage, ask to speak to their supervisor.

The post office that you are mailing the package from (should be the same one that you entered the zipcode of into paypal), will get penalized for a slower shipment since they use those shipping dates along with the delivery confirmation to compile reports on how well certain areas are performing. If an individual post office is bad enough, it runs the risk of getting re-staffed.
I have gone to a post office before where the clerk refused to accept my packaged a day later than was printed on the label, and wouldn't even print off one of those $0.00 stickers as a correction. Reason being that the system would still believe the package was late as putting one of those corrective stickers on the label does not change the date linked to the paypal label.
Luckily for me I was still in the timeframe where I could void those labels in PayPal and print off ones with the current date.

Sounds like most of you hand your packages to a clerk at a post office?
I just drop mine off in the mailbox or for large packages, the drop box at my post office...never had an issue.

How do I do that? I don't want to get the people at my P.O. in trouble, they are very nice and helpful...

If you click on the details of the label transaction in your paypal account there should be a rather small link on the bottom of the page saying "Void Label." This link is only there for 48 hours I believe, then you're stuck with the label you printed for good.

You can get a refund within 24 hours. You can reprint it within 48 hours.

Ah, too late for that then. I suppose I'll just take it there and hope they are cool about it.
