im looking to buy a 120GB hard drive for the xbox 360
since the new updates coming up, id rather have all my games run off the HDD, less strain on the crappy DVD drive we have in the xbox.
anyone find any cool deals?
i cant believe these things are still almost 200 dollars retail. its BS. especially with the price drop for PC harddrives lately

Check your local Targets, they have been clearance to $89 or lower depending on your store.

thanks for the info ill go check it out tomorrow.
90 bucks is still a little steep for me. :p i know that's like %50 off retail price, but the retail price is simply so outrageous that even a %50 off is nothing.
again thanks for the info though and quick response

dang i'm thinking up upgrading too but hate the ridiculous price
It is going to be hard find it at $90. Your other option is to do the harddrive mod yourself

$90 is a really good deal actually if you can find one. I've also seen them at Walmart for $150.. I'm waiting for a 20/ 25% off used accessories coupon from Gamestop to buy mine.

Just grab one off of ebay with the 25% cash back while its still up. In the end youll end up paying about $75. If youre on ebates and go through them you also get 1% back (woo hoo) and a bonus $10.
If you need the transfer cable just fill out the form from MS (check one of the other threads for a link to it) and they will send you two for free. Im not sure why two but they seem to do it a lot. You can sell one of those for like $25 on Amazon or eBay after and put that towards the hard drive too.

Gamestop (not always recommending them) has them used for around $100. If you can get rid of some of your junk games with some of the more reasonable trade-in offers, you can end up doing well that way. Some may complain that it's used, well, it's just a hard drive. And with the short life cycle of some of the 360s, chances are the drive will be in excellent shape.

Sounds good to me, I wonder if there is any coupon offers that could be used. I'll have to check gamestop's website. ;)

sorry, i forgot to say which thread, i meant the one about the transfer cable sorry about that.
but its ok, i found it finally after tons of pages.
but i have one question, on the form you fill out, youre suppose to put the serial number for current and a new xbox.
what did you guys put when you requested it?
and what does it mean by "•This is a limited time offer, subject to product availability, and subject to charge without notice."
the transfer cable is only for people buy a new system.
